Short review: Go to the store and treat yourself, you will not be disappointed. Long review: I drove across the city to get a strawberry short cake, however they were sold out. The sweet girl at the store offered to place an order for the next day and I agreed however was still second guessing as it would mean I would have to drive back again the next day. Still walked out with chocolate 2 brownies and 2 fruit tarts. The next day I go to store looking for those chocolate brownies, I even forget about the strawberry short cake as those chocloate brownies that we had were heavenly. However they were missing from the display counter and my heart sank, but the staff had me covered. They suggested me to wait for 5 mins and I can get my chocolate brownies......Thank God. So they remind me of the strawberry short cake which I almost forget and pick up an apple pie along with it. Now I am not expert on cakes or pies however I know good stuff when I eat - I have a fair bit of experience devouring some of the best tasting cakes. That cake and pie was shared by 7-8 diffrent people, every one had only one question - where did you get it from? This was one of the best cakes I have had. I am not sure what the negative reviews are all about and I bring that up as I heavily depend on them specifically if I have to drive out of way to get a cake, my humble suggestion is to visit the place yourselves they are a little on pricier side but you get more than what you pay for, plus the experince with the staff is phenomenal. Thank You!

I've been away for at least 6 years. I was looking forward to visit this lovely little spot as it brings many memories. I visited 2 weeks ago but unfortunately didn't buy anything. I was shocked with the actual presentation as well as selection of the pastry display. I used to have a colleague at work who lived near this pastry shop. He would spoiled us every week with a full box of freshly prepared florentine cookies, chocolate eclairs or millefeuilles "1000 leaves" from this patisserie shop. To get scones, pies, muffins or quiche you can go to any grocery store such as Longo's or Fortinos. This place looks now like a cafeteria counter which offers rather very expensive coffee and hot chocolate. In order to charge a fair amount of money for a hot beverage, a customer should be able to get the best quality product that complements such a drink. What was unique about Le Delice Pastry shop in my times was the craftsmanship of their pastries. Ideally you need 2 days to make croissants. It is not about the size of the croissants but rather crisp and flaky texture on the outside and well defined layers, and a soft, airy, buttery inside. I will always miss the old Le Delice Pastry Shop. I would like to suggest an excellent book by L.J.Hannenman titled "Patisserie". Both the owner as well the practising patissier at Le Delice Patry shop will find there knowledge to help them to excel in this attractive branch of baker's art. Bonne Chance!

I don't get the reviews other than to say that the people writing them have either never really been to or experienced a truly good, first class French bakery. Or even a decent French bakery for that matter! Their baked goods are second rate at best here - the pecan pie we had was absolutely terrible. Over baked lard crust and the cheapest filling that would compare to nothing more than eating crystallized sugar. Utter disappointment. Their croissants were also brutal - not even close to resembling a French croissant as they were bready oversized pieces of dough. Move to the muffins and when asked for butter was charged 50 cents and laughed (while paying it). More disappointment as the pumpkin spice was lacking pumpkin and spice. What's going on here?? The sugar cookies looked great and low and behold were tasteless flour and not a hint of butter to be found.. that was the 'icing' on the cake.. (and luckily for us we didn't try their cake and waste money on that too). All in all, definitely will not go back and truly do not understand how this shop has been here for as long as it has with the lack of taste and quality in their baked goods. Shocking to say the least and shows that mediocrity is alive and well in Lorne Park!

Pastries were mediocre, very dense and sugary. Not very unique treats. I’m not one to go back with something like this (just throw out the item), but there was a curly hair in one of their fig/granola bars (sorry im not a pastry pro as the owner reply clearly outlined my error lol). Lesson learned and I’m not going to visit this place in the future. Location is also super tight, feels like an old pizza store converted into a pastry store. Edit: reply to owner review, your reply was not required when its incorrect. Are you suggesting I went to the wrong store ? Dont worry I wont come talk to you about it as you wont be receving my service. Maybe take reviews as constructive criticism instead of deflecting. Good luck, wont be around for long dont worry, maybe it would be better to stick to the old bread bakery. There is a reason small businesses fail. I would leave 0 stars after your reply if google would allow it. Future advice, don't reply to reviews if you are going to try and blame the customer.

Very disappointed with the pie and the service. We picked up a bumbleberry pie the day before for Ukranian Christmas, stored in the fridge. We were at the table to serve the pie and there was a strong blue cheese smell. I took a small crumb of the top and yes it was ery tainted (had to eat lemon juice to get the taste out of my mouth).. The owner was quick to respond to our email, that was good. Monday am my husband took the pie back and the response from the young girl in the bakery was very disappointing. Her response was "we don't sell tainted pies" meaning ? Refumd was given but the young girl was very rude. Perhaps it was left over from Christmas and was confused with a fresh pie. The owner gave us a $10 coupon but that was after we suggested something for our trouble and inconvenience of having no desert for our guests at little Christmas. This combination of tainted pie and rude staff is enough to lose us as customers. There are many good bakeries in the area..

Poor quality cake. We bought a lemon cake thinking it would be fresh and moist, however this was not the case. Way too much buttercream (ratio was almost 1:1 to cake) and the cake was dense and didn't taste fresh. The cake was divided however the slices ended up in the garbage. Nobody was able to finish it after two bites. We saved one slice to give to the shop for feedback (this is not an indication that the cake was enjoyed). Pies are ok, cakes wouldn't buy again. It's unfortunate that this is the way management handles constructive feedback. Anyone can take a slab of butter and put it on a cake and say it's natural, however it requires a level of finesse to take the ingredients and make it taste good and not feel heavy and dense. This is not what I expected from a French pastry shop that we've regularly visited for the past 7 years. Quality has dropped.

New to the area, don't understand the high reviews and wondering if we have eaten the same items as those who provided higher reviews? Been into this store 3 times with an open mind before leaving this review. Let me start with the croissant; the holy grail of any pastry shop worth it's weight in flour and sugar. Le Delice's are dense, not layered or fluffy, they do not have a crispy or buttery exterior, and they don't flake. The hot cross bun are massive doughy overly sweet mess with little spice or variation in texture. The cake we got here was dry and did not inspire confidence on freshness as the fruit had so much gelatin on it. Bonus: Your prices are high, and you are in a super-affluent area. Please remove the tipping option from your POS and pay your staff appropriately. Putting a baked good in a box or pulling an expresso is not tip worthy, sorry.

Charming little gem, which, between the adorable aesthetic, the beautiful and delicious goodies and the team who's passionate about what they do, leaves you feeling like you've walked into a Hallmark movie. Owners are so kind and welcoming. Food items taste very fresh and high quality. Many savory items in addition to sweet (the roasted veggies with grilled halloumi sandwich is spectacular). They offer a selection of Sloane tea (Heavenly Cream is dreamy) and espresso based drinks (lovely cappuccino). Must haves include: custard cream slice, pecan chocolate caramel chew, strawberry shortcake, raspberry clafouti, scones, almond croissant, strawberry chantilly croissant, chunky chicken pie and roasted red pepper with goat cheese quiche.

Don't do business with companies who violate foreign workers rights.. check the govt website.. they were fined a huge amount. Edit. Noticed you responded and then deleted your response. You come off very shady. It says nothing about an employee lying to you. This is exactly what it states The pay or working conditions didn't match, or were not better than, what was listed on the offer of employment, or the job was not the same as what was listed on the offer of employment. Most likely tried to pay them substandard rates to do your work. Disgusting

We’ve ordered the black Forrest Cake from here and also the strawberry shortcake as well, and pies for thanksgiving or Christmas. As someone who bakes myself just for fun, I know what good quality is. Le Delice makes high quality and delicious cakes and pies, and it is fresh and worth the money. I’m surprised at some reviews and one person in particular if you click her reviews of other shops is a total Karen as she complains about EVERY PLACE. Le Delice also has beautiful carrot cale muffins, pastries and pot pies. The staff is always kind, helpful and it’s family owned. I would highly recommend them for all your cake, pastries and pie needs.

I'm afraid to say I'm not impressed by the cake. I got a taste and that's it. The whole cake went into garbage. Not worth the sugar intake. If it was up to me, I wouldn't buy this cake judging by the look. Maybe it's the kind of old-fashioned bakery the neighborhood loves. But it's not the kind of birthday cake I would hope to have. The combination of the flavors is boring and there's no layers of flavor. It's overly sweet. The cake was too dense. I'm usually very supportive of small local business, but this birthday cake put me into a bad mood on my birthday. One star for the family member who got it. Clueless.

Amazing service, very delicious cake and we have never ever been given hard time shopping from this store. They make any cake and it's truly work of art and equally delicious Thank you Le Delice

I ordered the German Chocolate cake for my birthday. When I picked I up, all of the staff came out singing "happy birthday" to me and even had a greeting on the cake! The staff went above and beyond--I found sheer joy in such a very simple, uplifting gesture especially during these hard, isolating times. Their customer service and excellent cakes and pastries are just some of the reasons I make the 20-minute drive to their store (sometimes on a weekly basis especially in the summer)! We're especially addicted to their berry clafoutis and berry bread puddings! Thank you, Le Delice!!! ♥️

  • Kyla Evans

The staff was very friendly and the store is clean and tastefully decorated. Some of the pastries we got were great, however my husband was told he was getting a croissant with cream cheese and strawberries, but when he bit into it at home, he got cream cheese icing and spinach on the inside...not the best combo. The cookies were delicious and the pastry I had with Nutella and banana was great, so I think it was just a bakery accident that they confused their sweet and savoury. The lattes were also good, but I wish they had a milk option other than soy (but I know I'm just picky)

I recently got a strawberry shortcake and some almond croissants from Le Delice Pastry Shop. It is such a cute shop, I felt like I was in France. Everything looked fresh and beautiful and the customer service was great! Very friendly and helpful. The strawberry shortcake was amazing! Not like the usual ones I have tried that can be a bit too sweet. This one was light, fresh, and delicious. The almond croissants were also very delicious and the portion was very generous. I highly recommend visiting this Pastry shop:)

  • Adrienne Mayo

I walked in and bought a white chocolate mousse cake based on the reviews for this bakery and I was really disappointed. The cake did not taste fresh and when I got home I noticed that the strawberries on top didn't look fresh at all. This cake has a lot of potential but was too sweet for my taste and it didn't seem as though the cake was baked the same day. Its too bad as I drove out of my way and felt as though I wasted my money. I also bought croissants and I did like those!

  • Lori Ann Simpson

This little shop has the biggest place in my heart! Everything they make is delicious and beautiful to the eye - from desserts like cakes, cookies and tarts to baked goods like their must-try scones and croissants (the best) to meals like quiches, chicken and beef pies, and more. They have extra lovely seasonal treats that are perfect for gifts too! I’ve been going to Le Delice weekly for over 15 years and it’s consistently so good :))

  • COLDSHORES 13

Recently I went in to buy a few of my favourite butter crossiants, but was very disappointed when I entered the store as the bakers were visibly laughing at me and gesturing at me. I get that I had my hair done up strangely, but that’s not an excuse to make fun of your customers, especially when’s there a glass wall into the bakery and your front staff can hear the comments. It was rude and it made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

  • Jasmine Busari

I usually don’t write reviews but this is honestly the best bakery I’ve ever been to, the cakes are fresh, never stale. Everything I’ve tried has always been a hit from the hot chocolate to the cookies. Kinda was kind enough to open the bakery on their day off to ensure I receive a birthday cake which I forgot to pickup the previous day. Top notch customer service as well as quality goods, truly a hidden gem.

  • Mahesh Wani

I ordered a fresh fruit shortcake from Here via doordash as I was running late on getting a cake for my friends birthday. Unfortunately they had to substitute it with the white chocolate mousse cake but oh my this was also pretty good. Now I wonder how the other one would be. I think a best option to order cake via door dash if you are unable to get to a bakery in time. Good quality and amazing taste.

  • Carolina

Le delice goes above and beyond to make their customers happy and put so much love into all the baked goods they make! The quality of the ingredients is absolutely amazing! The owner, Kinda, and staff are very kind, I always leave feeling really happy and positive after going to le delice! I recommend everything but love their espresso biscottis, strawberry shortcake and raspberry clafoutis the best!

  • Michael G

Had a last minute dinner party that I needed a cake for. I went into the shop around 10:30am and asked if they had a lemon basket weave cake. They didn’t have one but asked what time I needed it for and offered to have a fresh one ready by 2:00pm. Amazing service and once again a delicious cake. I truly appreciate this kind of service and will recommend them to anyone. Michael G

  • Leila

I ordered the German chocolate cake because they're the only ones that have a coconut cake and I don't regret it! The staff is VERY nice and helpful and the cake was absolutely delicious! My bf even said it was of the best cakes he's ever had in his life, so thats definitely something. Thank you la delice for making his birthday special!

  • Michael G

This is my goto place for a custom birthday cakes. I have ordered from Le Delice many times now and each one has been perfection. The chocolate cakes are decadent and the lemon buttercream is so light and refreshing. Great service each and every time. Just did the Lemon Basketweave cake for my Mom's 85th birthday and it was so tasty.

  • Jenn Walters

Where to begin with Le Delice!? The daily sweet and savory scone options, the chocolate chunk cookies, the cheesecakes, the meat pies... everything here is fantastic. Price is more than one might like but the quality is so worth it. The only downside is that you have to get there fast after work on a weeknight, they close at 6pm.

  • Sheena Green

One of Lorne Parks hidden treasures. They have an amazing selection of fresh baked goods. My husband didn't know what a great scone was until he tried these. Before Le Delice, he only knew of Tim's scones. Le Delice scones are like a taste of Heaven. Soft, and fluffy, paired with a cup of coffee it's the perfect start to my day.

  • Khadijah Patel

Hidden gem in Mississauga! By far my favourite place for baked goods especially when I have a sweet craving. Wide selection of croissants, pastries, and cakes that are always fresh. Even fit for those who prefer something savoury! The staff are always so helpful and friendly. I love coming here and the coffee is also amazing!

  • Dr. Tyler Kong

Absolutely the best bakery I've ever been to. Hands down they have the best quality baked goods. Their croissants are amazing - the best I've ever had. Their service is fantastic, always super friendly and helpful and the owners are a blessing. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out on Mississauga's best bakery.

  • Gerald Gradwell

Great cakes and a huge selection of fresh made croissants etc. Very popular with the locals. Small but great quality eat in or take out ready to eat food. Small seating area inside and same outside. Basic but good coffee & soft drink selection. Excellent quality and friendly service. Well worth stopping by.

  • A

Delicious cake bought here (tried the Dark Chocolate Mousse) for my wife's birthday. The cake is elegant and beautiful and the taste is really good! There are other tarts and mini cakes, as well as a huge assortment of pies. The breakfast croissants looked amazing. I will definitely be coming back.

  • James A

Just stopped by as we were in the area. Small little shop with great croissants with different fillings. Helpful staff. Area to line up and view the different pastries and cakes was narrow. Prices were comparable to other small gourmet pastry shops. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

  • Wendy Stebbing

This place smells and looks divine. The products are not inexpensive but they are good. We picked up pies, cheesecake and cookies which were great. I would not suggest the apple crisp though. Good flavour but too hard of a topping. The pie crust though was melt in your mouth delicious.

  • V Ng

A statement at every party! By far my favorite place to get pastries and cakes for any occasion. Normal day or special birthdays, everything is so freshly made with love and served by the nicest hosts. I’ve been a customer for years and will continue to be a customer for a long time!

  • David Smith

I was going to buy my weekly dose of hot cross buns and order a birthday cake but both women working behind the counter had NO masks on as well as a customer. In such a small space where I can't socially distant I did not feel comfortable entering. I will miss this place.

  • Sean Ormerod

A great bakery with daily special scones. Their butter tarts are some of the best around. The people are pleasent and the seats out front are great to stop and have a quick baked good as you leave. Oh the oatmeal cookies are the best of any bakery for miles!

  • Christian Moretuzzo

I placed a special order for Christmas Cookies for delivering to my clients -and Le Delice did an excellent job! Great packaging and final product - all of my clients enjoyed their treat. The owner, Kinda, was excellent to deal with. Thank you Le Delice.

Le Delice has the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever eaten. I recently tried the cookies from a certain US bakery that has opened up in Port Credit and they are no where near as good as the cookies from Le Delice. I highly recommend this place.

We've had three fabulous cakes from Le Delice, all reasonably priced, beautifully decorated, and delicious. We've picked up several yummy small goodies as well, along with tasty quiche. Highly recommend for daily delights or special occasions.

  • Evelyn Borys

Delicious treats and hands down the best strawberry shortcake, raspberry clafoutis is delicious as well! I've purchased custom cakes from here as well, and they've been a hit - make sure to try the strawberry and cream flavour when you order.

  • Kris Howson

This place is the reason I gained roughly 60 pounds in four years because I walked past it every day on my way home from Lorne Park HS. The cookies will make you seriously consider selling your soul and first born for more when you run out.

  • mohaimeen chowdhury

This place has exceptionally decadent pastries. My favourite selection would be their butter croissant. It tastes like fluffy clouds smeared with butter. Having it with a cup of freshly brewed cuppa joe just makes my day that much better.

Love this place. Great butter tarts! Home made sandwiches, and pies. The treats are to die for. Don't go at 11am because that is lunch time for Lorne Park H.S. and they all go here. Go at noon when they return to class.
