Our daughter had her booster shot recently and since it's never fun to have a needle poked into your arm I decided to buy a sweet treat for her afterwards, to help soften the blow. We went to the Vietnamese coffee shop Hem 377 as it was just a few blocks further up the street from where she'd had her shot. She chose a drink called Spicy Peach and I bought an Ube Latte for myself. Spicy Peach: Sweet, refreshing, peachy and minty. Not at all spicy. The "Spicy" part of the drink actually referred to the mintiness of it. While mint isn't actually spicy it does tend to tingle your mouth a bit, and I suppose it's because of that tingly sensation that the word "spicy" was chosen for the name of the drink. Our daughter loved it and said she would order it again if we ever ended up at that coffee shop again. Ube Latte: I honestly felt that this drink was overrated. I'd seen and read about it quite a lot through various sources of media when Hem 377 first opened up. It's not a bad drink, but I couldn't really taste anything special about it either; I certainly didn't taste any Ube in it. It just tasted like a regular iced latte to me. I think I liked my daughter's Spicy Peach drink better. I'd order the Spicy Peach for myself if I ever go to Hem 377 again. Parking: Street Parking Service: Fair Location: Small shop on Victoria Dr. amongst many other Vietnamese shops. Keep a sharp lookout for it, or else it can be easy to miss.

Strolling down Victoria and the name on the awning caught my attention. You don’t see many Vietnamese snack and drink places around the Lower Mainland. Here’s hoping that more will pop up. I scanned the menu and offerings and one of the first things I noticed was the Egg Coffee. I had only ever seen one other restaurant serve this in Vancouver and the steep price at this other restaurant held me back from trying it. So I was pleasantly surprised to see it priced very reasonably here at Hem377. For those who haven’t tried it, it’s more of a dessert drink as the egg makes it quite rich and could be called custard-like in taste. This is how I remember it from the cafes in Hanoi. The version at Hem was served cold and was kind of like a milk shake in taste and texture. I’ll like to see if I can try it hot next time. Also tried the Butter Corn with small shrimps. The small shrimps are the preserved and dried type so be forewarned if you don’t like those. Overall a nice first experience and looking forward to trying other menu items next time.

This spot is a haven for anyone with cravings for Vietnamese snacks and drinks. Thanks to my Vietnamese friend's recommendations, I finally gave it a try, and it did not disappoint. The drink menu is extensive, with prices that won't break the bank. The quality of their coffee left me impressed, especially their signature egg coffee, which I highly recommend. It's not overly sweet, which is perfect for my taste buds. I also tried the pandan drip, and the vibrant green color was visually stunning. In addition to drinks, they also offer snacks such as puddings and buttercorn. The buttercorn is a must-try, especially when it's served hot right away. As for the puddings, the black sesame flavor was my favorite. Plus, the cute jar they come in makes for a great keepsake. The staff were friendly and the interior was unique and cute, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I'm definitely planning to come back and explore more of their offerings.

Came here with family having high hopes of good coffee. The egg coffee was not anything like Vietnamese egg coffee. I didn’t taste any egg at all. The drink was all whipped heavy cream. The photos they posted online the egg coffee they took photo from elsewhere. How Vietnamese egg coffee is made it with egg yolk and condense milk. Whip it till custard like. The pandan milk coffee was very light. Coffee was light not strong like how Vietnamese coffee suppose to be. I don’t think they use robusta or arabica beans. Tried their bac siêu too and ☹️. Maybe we just coffee sobs. But we tried lots of egg coffee. Nếp in oc Cali makes a true egg coffee, or hello em in Seattle. Try coffeeholic for ube and panda coffee, or phin Smith in oc for coconut coffee, da viên in oc too. Not true to Vietnamese style coffee. They didn’t even have any snacks or food options, they were out of ingredients so it would have been 30 mins wait. We came at noon. They were also out of sugarcane.

My partner and I passed by this coffee shop on their first day of soft opening. The line up was out the door but we really needed a caffeine fix. We ordered the ube latte, lotus biscoff latte, butter corn and the deconstructed bami. The drinks took a while and they did warn us about the wait but the food was fast and we got a table so it was all good. These aren’t espresso drinks, they’re brewed/dripped coffee and made with lots of care by the owner, so the wait is expected. I’m sure they’ll improve in no time. After all, that’s what a soft opening is for right? Everything was delicious. I love my coffee fairly strong so I preferred the biscoff with less ice. The staff was friendly and professional. I would definitely come back – especially for the flan that was sold out!

I had the pandan drip. I didn’t really taste the pandan because the coffee was overpowering but the coffee itself was super smooth. Service was quick and I’ll most likely head back to try the other drinks. I didn’t order any food this time around. My other friends order the red Thai milk tea, red Thai milk tea and the pandan milk. Apparently the panda milk tasted a lot like fruit loops. They all had good things to say about their drinks. They had a few tables and chairs, but I feel like this would be more like a takeout spot more then a dine in location. They can’t seat too many people at once.

This place is named 'alley' in Vietnamese, so I was expecting very casual, chill, rustic feel. The atmosphere rightly so, but the taste was elegant and complex! I could tell the owner took much thought and care into the menu. They have alot of things on the menu that are original. I tried their mint mojito coffee and was pleasantly surprised by how well the mint and coffee went together. Their flan and yogurt were also perfect for my taste. I LOVE it that they have decaf option for even drip coffee special menus. There are many options for those who are caffeine-sensitive I have yet to try their famous ube latte. I am def. looking forward to my next visit.

The owner is a friend of my relative and she is the best! I have been coming here with me and my family for over a year and a half now and they have not disappointed. I myself go here a few times a month because I always crave it and it’s close by. Their menu keeps growing and everything tastes amazing. I love the look of the shop it feels so cozy. My favourite drinks are Thai tea with Pandan milk, Pandan drip coffee, egg coffee, ube milk, and anything with Pandan. They are so consistent and always make amazing drinks. Love this place!!! Would recommend everyone try at least once.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I go here at least twice a week since it is close by and never disappoints. The workers are always super nice and helpful and the variety of the menu is amazing. My go-to drink is the Thai red milk tea with pandan milk, and it tastes SOOO GOOOD!! Some of my other favourites are the pandan drip, egg coffee, strawberry matcha cheesecake, ube latte, and Thai green milk tea. They are open for pretty much the whole day and I love that I can stop by and quickly grab a drink at any time of the day. I would definitely recommend everyone visit this coffee shop!

I came on April 30 (soft opening day) at around 3 pm and the lineup was crazy. Even though it was extremely busy, I gotta wait around 20-30 mins for the drinks but how the owner and the staff worked plus the enthusiastic attitudes there made me feel it was worth the wait. I personally really love the vibes here, it has a signature Vietnamese street style decoration as you can see in the photos below My friend and I ordered strawberry latte + ube latte, butter corn and Leng Keng’s yogurt. Overall I would rate it 9/10 Probably will come back to try another drink

We dined in at Commercial Drive new outlet and staff were rude and used bad words in Vietnamese to chat with each other pretty loud while guests were still enjoying their drinks and snacks. In the end one lady standing at the cashier asked us to closed the door while we were heading out since the entrance door could not close by itself properly (there were some previous white guests but the employee did not ask them to close the door? This is really odd to me)

Great pandan fresh milk drink! A must for Pandan lovers. They don't have sandwiches (Banh mi), but they have bowls which is like the sandwich cut up into a bowl, still pretty good but I wish they had an option for regular style banh mi, which is something they can consider adding in the future! Definitely recommend it for the drinks tho!

Try their black beef jerky deconstructed baguette. It’s super delicious and very authentic vietnamese street food/snack flavours. It has a hint of spice, slightly sweett and savory dish. Also, the pandan coffee was delicious, not too sweet and very fragrant. My friend had the thai red milk tea and it was also delicious! A bit on the sweeter side but a good sweet. Will definitely come back

I've been regular customer here since day one, and can tell the drink and food quality is always tastefully consistent. The owner (Kbee) and her staffs are super friendly to recommend me new drinks every time. What I like about this coffee shop is all the ingredients (durian, ube, cream foam...) are freshly made everyday, you can tell the difference after the first sip. We need more shops like this in Vancouver. Strongly recommended to support locals.

Ordered the Vietnamese egg coffee, and the drink is pretty good! It’s both creamy and smooth. The only complaint I really have is that the lady who was at the counter doing my transaction walked away for 5 minutes. Then to get my coffee it was a bit of a wait as an entire group before me hadn’t gotten their orders yet.

Not much in terms of decor. Pretty good drinks but far too sweet. The Thai green tea was a bit bitter, due to burnt tea. Pandan drip coffee had good flavour but too sugary. Not impressed by the deconstructed bang mi though. Mostly bread and lacking in pate and chicken for the price. Would prefer a regular bang mi from Ba Le or Banh Mi Saigon. No flan or yougurt in the middle of the day which was odd. May try again later.

We decided to try this cafe because we were in the area. We enjoyed both drinks we got. I was worried we would have to wait long, after seeing reviews online, but the service was actually pretty quick. We wanted to try their flan but they were already sold out. I would definitely go back to try their other drinks.

Tried a bunch of their drinks and I gotta say the Pandan Drip hits the spot like no other. I don’t normally drink coffee of any kind but I always come here for the Pandan Drip. The dining space isn’t furnished well or large but I usually just grab to go so not a big deal. This is a unique treat in Vancouver!

I enjoy the drinks and snacks here but the card machine is often not working. I was told I could pay *exact* change or order online. I ordered online and when I took off the lid to cool it I was surprised to see it was only 3 quarters full. I paid $6 for this. I dont think I will return unfortunately.

Coffee is mid and the most upsetting thing is they cover up the bottom of the credit machine so you can't skip the tip option. Very bad way to do business. Highly do not recommend. There are way better coffee and cafes out there.

My goal is to try every drink on their menu! I had their egg coffee and a friend of mine got the pandan. They both had strong flavors that aren't overpowered by the coffee - their egg coffee might be my favorite in the city. I'll be back for drinks and a lunch bowl! More
