Under rated mall. Remodelled in recent years, some thoughtful designer ensured there is ample rest stops along each branch of the building and all seating is incredibly comfortable. The food court has a variety of chairs and benches. The tables have purse/bag hooks so you don't have to drop your things on the floor. Tim's, A&W, Taco Time, Mr. Sub, Juggo Juice, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and more. There is an awesome bakery that's been in the food court forever with lots of delights but they only take cash so come prepared because you're sure to want to take something home. We're addicted to the cinnamon buns. Every cell phone carrier has a store as well as Shaw (for sales) and there are several other cell service and product shops. Both a Claire's and Ardene's, several reasonably priced clothing retailers, clothes for all ages and genders, nail salon, barber shop and salons. EB Games and The Source are both staffed by knowledgable people. Also a Sally Beauty Supply where the staff is incredibly friendly, resourceful and are always willing to help. 1 bank, TD Canada Trust, 1 insurance broker (including selling MPI), Winners, a gym, Canadian Tire, and one end under construction, rennovating the old Sears end for new shops; including bulk Barn. There's a shop that prints on fabric. A cigar shop that includes affordable coffee, and lottery is at the other end from Tim's, near Canadian Tire, and the mall seating in this area includes a more serene table area and bar height counter seating with charging ports.

Of the stores I went too, all the Staff knows me. S&H Awesome store. The owners, sales, males & females all lovely Indian family! Love their Store and Products. Andrew Agency Insurance company, they moved into a new more spacious place, finally. Hated getting my MPI picture retaken in the old location they had. All their staff was very friendly. Smiles across the board. Glad to see they have better chairs for their staff to sit in. Too cramped in the old location across from the Lottery box area. Stores looked cleaner. Even the Security Guards were very nice. Smiling, had a chat with one of them. Nice fellow. Asked him if the crime, theft was down, he said yes much better. I was happy about that. Too much stealing was happening around the Garden City Area. Visited Tim Hortons for a Peppermint Tea. I don't support them, because I do not believe in Donuts or Processed foods. However I know they carry Herbal tea. So I pooped in. When will they go gluten free? Come on get with the times Timmies! Mall was friendly today. Was pleased with seeing smiling, friendly faces, of all Races!

Greatest overall of this end of the City with all the Amenities that you may want to indulge with. Truly enjoyed talking with the other Friend's that I have told them about this Newly renovated Mall with all of the room for your security and Exercise facilities are usually short of but here's the best way for us knowing what we need and how important it is to keeping our selves in shape for our Healthier future. This is undoubtedly the best way for all to stay on track for your family's Future. The diversity in the choices that we have talked about but we never had are all that we with our own nationalities so hard to find anything to comparable with the multiple choices now in this Mall are the only one place that you can find on your own in the City's largest selection of yours to use and enjoy the time you spend with your family or friends Thank You and Have a great day! Respectfully Jim laycock

Just watched the cleaning staff deny a senior entrance to the men's room by the food court. I understand she wanted to clean it and was waiting for men to exit the washroom. But she hadn't closed the washroom yet. When the man asked to use the family restroom because he really needed to use the washroom, she began to yell at him. He asked her why she says no and her response was "I will tell you no all I want. Now leave". I've never seen such disrespect towards a senior in my life. Also I've read some over the reviews and some are obviously false. There's no movie theater near by, the closest being Northgate shopping center with its tiny theater.

a worker at show case yesterday around seven got me and my friends kicked out of the store for no reason, we did nothing wrong we were just walking around, she was on her phone no doing her job, she was scrolling on her phone while on call with someone, using inappropriate language while kids were in the store saying “fat people” and stuff, she called the security on us saying “watch these ones” then got us kicked out, she had black hair with a big ahh forehead and she had her hair up, lemme tell you this, she was either racist or a stereotype, it’s sad honestly how me and my friends look like a threat to her

Growing up in this mall, it's definitely nice to see how it's changed. From a past of having a simple Cineplex and a Laura Secord to now hosting the first Seafood City, this mall has evolved a lot and has become a comfortable place to visit. It does lack a lot of entertainment-style venues and other bigger brand stores, but it makes up for them in it's niche options and worker hospitality. I feel very welcome walking into stores such as GameStop, Winners, and the folks at Seafood City, to name a few. Overall, a cozy mall experience that only suffers from lack of big brand variety.

  • MrBudokai1

Good parking , easy access and the renovations make the place look a lot cleaner. The new food area needs to be cleaned a little better but the new Supermarket Seafood City has a huge selection of goods for sale . Some hot some cold but varied enough to keep the customer coming back . Again prices are high as it’s new and Hey they can get away with it but prices should come down once the newness wears off . Let’s face it a trip to Mama **** to get equally good food and better prices will force them to toe the line.

I enjoy going here, the atmosphere is nice, lots of hair and nail salons. Also they have a very good variety of restaurants to choose from. You can get hardware from there and clothes for parents and children. It has a really nice gift shop and coffee shop close to canadian tire. Winners is always a good place to get that quik gift. The eye doctor, located close to the food court, is easily assessable. I find it better than going to the malls that take forever to walk around in because they are just too big.

  • J W (SiDroid)

It's an old mall, and it looks the part. The floors are generally dated, as are most store fronts. There isn't a very good selection of stores; a few volume clothing stores, no big brands, no big names in the food court, old seating in the food court. The biggest plus is the parking; parking is free, readily available (I've never seen the lot full), and spaces are a decent size. Overall, I would suggest it over Portage Place, but that's it; any other major mall in the city is significantly better.

  • Sandeep Singh

Garden City is spacious, quiet and clean. It has been upgraded with more excellently designed structure and aesthetics. There are many shopping paradise for clothes, daily needs things such as Dollarama, Winners, Canadian tire, Tim Hortons. One of the most trusted bank in Canada TD Bank is also in this mall. A lot of spaces to sit for older people and children also. Mall is delightful place to do your whole shopping under one roof and it is just laze around a little.

  • Michelle

Gross dirty washrooms.... Garden City Mall is usually clean unfortunately there are certain people acting like untamed animals... Get the washrooms clean like check an hour or 2 hours apart or hire people who want to get the job done. Especially clean around the washroom around TD Bank and the food court. We don't want "very soft" toliet paper easily breaking causing a mess on the floor. And get the automatic toliet flushers checked once in awhile to respond...

  • Carl Sotomil

It has a lot of mobile phone stores but not a lot of selection for clothing due to the lack of major retail outlets such as ZARA or H&M. There was no grocery store until Seafood City opened and with that opening there is a real increase of foot traffic in the mall, so there's less space to move around, etc. I really liked the decorations they've put out, though I would have even liked it more if there was more furniture and places to sit with at the mall.

  • Mark Shymanski

It has been a long time since I have been in thus Winnipeg mall. I didn't have much time to explore but what I saw was pleasant and well lit. Next time I am there I hope to have time to more fully explore. One of the best features of this store was I was able to park close to the entrance that was close to the store I specifically went to this mall for! That allowed me to zip in, make my purchases and be on my way very expeditiously.

  • nilo manalo

At the time of writing this, stores feels like empty. Although there are still quality tenants like Winners, Canadian Tire, Dollarama, Foot Locker and Sears. The food court serves a variety of dishes from Canadian to Asian menu. There's also Goodlife which is very convenient for gym goers and if you can't afford gym membership, the mall is open early if you want to do walking exercise especially during extreme cold winter.

  • SULA KAY

The is the best mall in Canada I have seen so far. It is very clean and the clients and the mall.management (RIO CAN) are very helpful. All of them treat each other as family. They are very time conscious. The clients will never be late to open the doors to customers. There are some items you cannot find in other malls you will easily find there. Few people I recommended always came back to me with a successful stories

  • Darin Willerton

Site listed as Garden City Shopping Center but went specifically to Seafood City where the different types of fish is great! I go for the deep fried chicken skin which if you're going to try needs to be dipped in a spicy vinegar that they also sell different varieties of. Their hot food is Filipino and excellent. Will usually get the crispy smelt to snack on. Good for seafoodies who like to try something different.

  • Chad M

First time eating here. Prices were reasonable for a lot of very good tasting food. If you like spices I really reco.mend this place. Enough spice to give you the heat but not so overpowering you can't taste anything. Perfect blend at medium spice. Very very tasty good food. If you don't like spice then you can get a no spice version of the dishes and they're also extremely tasty. Staff was super friendly.

  • Chris Bird

Tried to go shopping on Saturday for a few needed items and the reduced capacity had line ups at Canadian Tire and several other major stores an hour long. Being a disabled person I found there is no plan in place for persons of disability so I guess we just don't get to have luxuries like running water when plumbing breaks. Canadian tire, Home Depot you get an F on supporting the disabled.

  • Rui Ruie

Been shopping here for 20 years. Very simple and straight forward mall with a massive parking lot ,I was here like when Sears and arcades were there. They made some changes , it had some slow years and I thought this mall is gona die soon and Im glad it didnt , now with new stores and restaurants near by this mall is now going strong. Wouldnt be nice if they put a second floor? lol

  • sue petrachek

This mall is horrible, caters to small clothes stores, so many phone stores, lot of empty spaces...Besides food court and Smitty's, plus all fast food places around, why not have a few good restaurants put in area. We had Red Lobster and Olive garden that was always busy and took them away. Businesses are building at other ends of city, why not our area..

  • Jhay Regalado

A mall which I have experienced great times as a kid and teenager. From the CHESS COURT on the mall floor. Was fun watching the elderly hang out and play there. And teenager bopping days in the mid 90s, hanging out at the arcade EXCALIBUR. Of course it has changed majorly since then. Still a great mall. Should definitely bring back the Chess Court.

  • Alexander Trauzzi

Every renovation made to this mail has made it worse and worse. After destroying all the charm it used to have (chess pit) and sterilizing the decor, the only thing they could do to ruin it more is make the whole mall stink of dead fish. Which they did. ‍♂️ RIP Garden City, I'll always remember you circa 1985 - 1995.

  • Ari Quinn

this mall is always so clean and spacious and has great signage for covid restrictions. my service dog has never had any grief for being there which makes the experience much better for me. i’ve never had any issues there with mall staff or security, and always had an easy time finding my way around. i love this mall!

  • Sasha Smith

I love this mall, and I love the variety of stores. I'm especially excited about all the new additions, most notably Michaels!! Bus access is awesome and parking spots are plentiful. Also there are so many great stores within a couple minutes walk, including restaurants, that overall it's a great shopping experience.

  • Lee Daniels

A chefs dream! I spent 2 hours walking around looking at the different sea foods and products they had before even putting a thing in my cart. They even offer a fish cleaning station on premises. If you don't feel like cooking they will even cook your seafood for you to take home!! Cheers.......I'll be back!!!

  • Steve O

Great mall, good parking, lots of small businesses here that are great to support. Garden City mall has withstood the test of time as a Winnipeg mall. Over the years its gotten some upgrades like all the food in the area and Goodlife, but it has also lost some parts like the theatre. Good mall, overall!

  • Pam King

The security at the food court does not ask for id to go along with your vaccination card!! Sent an email to the mall management and no reply. Also, the Tim Hortons does not ask for proof of vaccination to eat inside their restaraunt. A good place for the inspectors to go and issue some fines!

  • Mohpreet Dhillon

it is good place for shopping. this shopping centre has all types of stores like seafood city, winners, Canadian tire, Footlocker, mountain warehouse etc & also have big food court (A&W, Tim Hortons, pop corns etc.) and also dollarama in this centre. its really place to click photographs.

  • Richard B

I went to Canadian Tire for tire repair for a slow leak, I was told that the transmission was leaking, but our vehicle was just safetied a few weeks ago, and it is not 'Leaking' anymore, did someone drop transmission fluid on the case so it would appear that it was leaking, I think so.

  • Melody

Easy to park, lots of stores including Winners, Canadian tire, Seafood City, Dollarama, and more. There's also a food court, barber shop, jewelry store, and mobile store. It's always worth the trip every time we visit the place. Especially with the kids because it's not crowded.

  • Miriam Neuman

Haven't been here in years. It seems to have been redone recently. More sterile and contemporary than I remember and still not fully leased but spacious and fun to walk through when the weather isn't cooperative. There are some interesting stores opened where Sears used to be.

  • Tin Luna

Pretty small and simple. Fewer stores compared to other malls, but it's easy to get around if you know exactly what you're looking for. Along with a good parking lot and a bus loop, it's a good "get-in, buy something, get-out" location. Open but currently in renovation.

  • Manpreet Kaur

Garden city shopping Mall is quit and not so crowded. Have food court and Sea food city as well. Have TD bank and autopac insuran broker on South enterence of mall. Other big retailers are there as well. Its worth to go this mall. You can find most of stuff in this mall.

  • Sharon Gunter

They do not share on Twiiter that is to bad one star rating . We live right on Sinclair St between Jefferson & Inskter B. for 50years I used to work for Seven Oaks School Division prior to retiring 2011 . It was alot better in the 80s bussiness were alot more busy .

  • robert erstelle

This mall is a joke, they have no new stores for years, they no longer allow Charitable organizations to sell tickets, from the area.. They haven't updated their Christmas decorations for years, no attractions for young couples with children. It has great parking

  • Danna Ridgeway

Always find great deal there . the food courts are very clean . the bathrooms are very clean . also the food is great with all the different choices. Love that there is a small bakery right on the corner as you are walking out the door from the food court.

  • G. Park

It's okay especially if you live in the area. Great for elders hanging out place. Relaxed and I feel safe here. New foodcourt and washroom is 10/10. Canadian Tire and Winners makes this place very useful. Without the 2 attached, this place is so boring.

  • Matthew J.S. Ducharme

3 stars because I'm still upset the movie theater was taken. Great mall to shop if you dont feel like walking a marathon. Clean. I feel pretty safe when I visit. But please, add some type of entertainment to this mall. They also have a good life gym!

  • Robyn Ross

The food court has barely any variety, just a lot of the same thing. Stirfry. And if you don't like stirfry your stuck with burgers and tacos. Garden city has the potential to be a better mall, but having a crappy food court doesn't help it.

  • Jon L

Good mall in North Winnipeg. Even at a time when shopping malls are going through a frustrating time, this mall knows how to keep stores that win customers. Also it's great to see how they made great use of the area that used to be Sears.

  • Lisa Schneider

Stores are changing often is this troubled times. Lots of great food choice in food court. Grocery store has lots if interesting products. Micheals craft store is amazing. Lots of products for crafting bead work, knitting, crocheting.

  • Mark Spevack

One entrance to the mall ,Really and what's with all the security? I've been going to that mall since it first opened, not in all those years have I seen so much security. Polo park doesn't have that much and its 3 times the size !

  • Victoria P

Not a busy mall right now. Ricki's loathing store has some super great deals like shirts for 4.99. Lots of them. Cost me less than breakfast at McDonald's. Lol. It reminds me of the show "Cheers" where everybody knows your name.

  • Michael Fernandez

Garden City has improved so much in the last 5 years. They remodeled the whole place including the food court. The addition of Seafood City and Popeye's Louisiana Chicken (NW parking lot area of the mall) is a huge plus too.

  • Sandy Pimentel

This mall could be something! With all of the new houses in the area, you would think that the people that run the mall would do better with what they offer at the mall. It's only worth going for Winners and Canadian tire

  • Genesis Merlin

One of the smaller malls in Winnipeg that only recently is starting to feel a lot bigger! It's a great feeling when you've seen the growth of the mall as well as the community. It's still a great little mall to shop in!

  • Debi Russell

3 hours of fantastic. Went shopping, got everything I wanted. Went to Aura Hair Stylist and got a fantastic color and cut by Krystaal. Grabbed a French vanilla cappuccino at Tim Hortons on my way out.I love Garden City

  • Rahul Rudani

Mall has been upgraded with better architecture and aesthetics. It looked in much need for renovations, thankfully more new stores are coming too. I wish they had more choices for their food court, but no complaints.

  • Roger Lavallee

Went in looking for phone cases and screen protectors,as soon as we walked in the employees we on hand asking us what we were looking for, very helpful and happy did not take long to get what we needed great service

  • Sandeep Khambay

☑️ It’s a simple, single floor mall having brands like Winners & Canadian Tyres. The food court is a pleasant place to spend some time. Corridors are wide and clean. The mall is having ample space for parking.

  • Lorraine James

Years ago, a mere webcam showed how dead the activity was. Lately, it’s gotten lots more traffic and the mall has improved. I’m liking it more and more with renovations. Can’t wait for more updates and renos.

  • lina c

Decent stores with many transit options nearby. The area is always kept fairly clean minus the food court on busy days. I wish that the mall would be open later on Saturdays; 6pm is extremely early to close!

  • Matt B

Conveniently located regional mall, with large anchor tenants and many known national chains / brands. Located at the intersection of McPhillips and Leila, access is easy - and there is lots of free parking.

  • Holly Alexander

Nothing really useful in this mall unless you want a new cell phone, dollarama, Can tire, Winner's or a very minimal selection from the food court. It really needs to do something to attract popular shops.

  • Kris Firth

Good though there's not a lot to do there other than shop in some stores or eat. They took away the giant chess set that was a great group activity for many of various cultures to meet and play together.

  • Myrna Javate

The stores within the mall satisfy our needs. Seafood Store is a great attraction. I just hope with lighter restrictions on business re-openings, shopping hours will be more especially on week-ends.

  • Andrew Stewart

The new and renovated businesses in the mall are nice. Big food court, with standard selections. This is now almost an outlet/clearance mall. Good if you don't mind construction to get a good deal.

  • Cresta Reyes

Have always gone here since I was a kid. Mom would take us every Friday. It was the hang out place when I was younger. Love the atmosphere in the mall and its very nicely renovated over the years.

  • liz cook

This mall is the smallest and most low key in wpg. They are renovating so may look a little nicer. Like winners and can tire and dollorama but not much else. Good parking and on a good bus route.

  • Sparkly Unicorn

Always a great place to shop in a relaxed atmosphere. Never over crowded and always friendly staff around in the retailers to help with whatever you need. Pretty much has something for everyone.

  • Nicole S

The renovations look amazing, and I'm excited to see new retailers come in. It's a decent mall with some good stores, but definitely not the type of place you could spend more than an hour in.

  • Tasha Nicole

The food court is always clean when I come here. The lady working the food court during the day keeps an eye on when people leave the tables and cleans asap. She definitely deserves a raise!

  • Lucy MacLean

Always feels a bit dirty even with the renovation. It has definitely been improved but this mall needs more in order to attract more customers. It's usually the last mall on my list.

  • Danny Smith

I love Winners and Canadian Tire at garden city . Also the food court is exceptional.. The Korean BBQ is out of this world.. If u can't find what u need here,u don't need it …

  • Chris Watkinson

Great selection of all types of stores and businesses ... with the only really problem being the annoying traffic line ups at main junctions and long tailbacks at rush hours.

  • Matthew A

Good place, big parking and nice food area, I've never had any issues there with mall staff or security, and always had an easy time finding my way around. i love this mall!

  • Kristina Cruz

Nice place to visit where you can find Seafood city, Canadian Tire, Winners,Dollarama, and H&R Block(during tax season). With a small food court and other variety of stores.

  • Alan Warwick

Clean. Modern look. Great food court for meeting and working. They have power outlets at the counters to charge your devices. I eat there once a week. Always good food.

  • Chris Oli

Management did well on the renovation. It’s feels more spacious. They have new vendors in the food court. Worth a check the warm and tasty fries at Potato Corner …

  • Brian Mondor

I have not walk in the Mall since it did construction 5 yrs ago I was not happy it was changing make store make smaller like I saw in Ontario looked like a China box

  • jeriel lucas

Standard mall with popular Asian grocery. Good range of services, shops and stores, so good for a one stop destination for grocery, hardware, crafts, clothes, etc.

  • Haleys comet

Love shopping here as it's not insanely huge and packed. They've recently done upgrades and added new stores and they're in the process of a beautiful mural …

  • Chris Steinke

Was shopping Winners today, I had the best experience there. I wish that I could remember the 2 gentlemen that helped me today. They were both so friendly and fun!

  • Natalina Giancola

I don't realy like that mall ,we need more stores shopping stores and something like a beautiful water fall.. My favorite mall is POLO PARK or the one by the IKEA

  • 1rare56er 94SUPRA

Found a very good jeweler! City jewellers! He's the best! Great service! Bent over backwards to fix my watches at absolute minimal prices! Will be back!

  • Sharon regula

Love the bakery, the Rolling Pin. Cinnamon Buns are the best! They have been my breakfast item for the past several years at work.pick them up weekly!

  • Neoncere

They have done some renovation that makes it very welcoming and clean. The food court is great and clean. Staff keeps it neat. Restrooms are pleasant.

  • Devangi Handa

My first time visiting there, I was amazed with this mall. Mall security was so active and were doing there jobs. It has many of good stores to shop .

  • Preet Chawla

Wonderful small mall with most essential stores. Good food court options as well. New additions and renovations made a big difference. Ample parking.

  • Pablo Listingart

The mall now looks really nice, but let's be honest, there is not a lot to do there, and most of the shops are not places I'm interested in visiting

  • Rukmanjot Kaur

Ok to go to this mall if you really don't have anything to do but If looking to buy some good clothing or to do some shopping find someplace better.

  • Samantha Currie

Very nice, clean mall and not overly crowded. Definitely check out Seafood City! It's unlike any oriental supermarket I've seen before! Very cool!

  • ISMAIL M. DIRIE

Garden City Shopping Centre features over 70 shops and services on a single level; including anchor tenants like Canadian Tire, GoodLife Fitness,

  • Andre Valcourt

For a mall not the best. Stores do not open at the same time. It's clean and nice inside. Most of the stores are not high quality or name brands.

  • Marco Masim

Great shopping experience! Especially when Seafood City came in, Popeye's and Michael's. Parking slots easily available as well. A one-stop shop.

  • Rob Mack

The mall and grounds are well maintained. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Lots of parking and entrances. Full service mall a one stop shop

  • chester wawrzyniak

I Come here every Thursday great soup as well. I try to get some so I can have it at work the next day but it i always eat it all up. Too good.

  • Mary Reimer

Quiet indoor mall, could use some more vendors, probably something designed for kids to attract consumers. The facilities are neat and clean.

  • Evelyn Saunders

I bought a BBQ online, four in stock. Went the next day. No BBQ. Three weeks later, I was refunded. No expected call, long wait on phone.

  • Mary Clarke

Not very much there since Sears closed. No decent higher end store's. Even the food court if you don't like Asian then your out of luck.

  • Cheryl Saper

First time I have been there in years. Very impressed with how bright, spacious and clean it is. Sad to see so many empty stores though

  • Rajinder Singh

Nice place, winner, canadian tire, Chinese food, Mexican, fast food, grocery shopping gym Walmart, home depot and a lot of stores

  • Charles Monkman

What can i say......ever Since the 80s before they built the NEW ,now food court once stood a open restaurant named "cesears"...

  • Andre Mariani

New renovated shopping center still in progress but boy are they looking better then ever !! Can't wait to see the completion

  • Raj Garg

It was great to visit this mall.Always well cleaned and maintained, and no parking issues and washrooms are quite clean.

  • Bruce Mclean

Went to seafood city. Food was excellent and a great selection of fish etc to choose from. One of my "go to" places now

  • Lj Barquilla

Still not done with the renos but it is starting to look great. Lots of affordable stuff. Lots of parking available.

  • Wanda Gulewich

  • Harpreet Mundra

Always love this place. you get all the shops in this Garden city shopping mall. I usually say "one stop shop".
