UPDATED: Original review below. After I wrote this review I have to say First Ontario called immediately and apologized. I respect this greatly and I came in for an appointment and was deeply impressed with Anetta's product knowledge and ability to suggest financial aspects and bank accounts that may suite my family. I am looking forward to working with First Ontario. Anetta proved that they're willing to own up to a drop in service and exceed expectations. Parking is available and a very special live ATM open at 8am is available for members of First Ontario to talk to a rep for their transactions. Thank you! Pretty disappointing. I went in to the local branch at around 5pm and the nice staff member gave me a card of their account rep because they were closing. I left a VM message with Anetta to follow up and its been almost a week with not a word. I followed up with a direct call to their automated customer service line and was stuck in a loop for over 5 minutes waiting to be directed to any CSR to pick up the phone. One would think it should be easier to become a member of a Credit Union. It certainly made me feel that they aren't looking for members that hard. I'm disappointed too because they were the local credit union and seemed so friendly at first interaction. I wish their follow up was better!

I am disappointed that both Burlington braches of First Ontario Credit Union are closed on Saturdays. This makes it difficult for those of us who are busy during the week to do our banking. Yes, I know that both On-line banking and PAT are available, but these do not always work for the business that I need to transact. And, the sign on the door at the Upper Middle St. branch lists the Saturday hours as 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Let's go back to some limited Saturday hours for at least one of these branches. I have been a member of this Credit Union (or its predecessors) for over 50 years, and don't relish making a change at this point in my life.

We can always count on excellent service and helpful tellers at this branch. You won't waste your time here waiting in line to be served, especially when you're in a rush to get in and out quickly. It's highly recommended to be a member for small business banking purposes. Thank you and keep up your excellent work!

The worst financial institution for business. This credit union has no internal structure to accommodate medium size businesses. Their managers are not helpful and they do not care about assisting business owners. They obviously have enough business to not increase customers.

Been waiting for months to get answers for paying down our mortgage. In the meantime we’re paying tons of interest every month. Send emails but dot get answers. So frustrated, thinking about looking elsewhere.

Every time I come here service is so slow. Really just the worst customer service I've ever experienced in a credit union.

Inviting and warm. Staff is friendly and doesn't treat you like a number. Low fees compared to the "regular" banks.

Best thing I've done in a long time. Becoming a member of the credit union again. Staff are amazing here.
