Here is my story...Yesterday I purchased two blouses from Fairweather in Londonderry mall in Edmonton. Went home and hand washed them even thou the care instructions said machine wash. When I was putting them on hangers to dry I noticed that one of them was falling apart...really falling apart! Threads all over were torn and pieces of fabric were just hanging helplessly. I was shocked but decided that I will take it back, the store will reimburse me and it will be all good. So, today I took the blouse, the receipt and all the tags, and went to Fairweather. The lady that took the initiative to talk to me explained very politely that they do not give money back, store credit only. All good but...only the store manager could authorize that and she was on sick leave for few weeks. So, I had to try to catch her when she comes back. I explained that I was going away for about month and a half and will not be able to come back . She said that she was sorry but there was nothing she could do. I argued with her for about five minutes, since it is not my fault that their product is garbage...And now I an stuck with something I can only throw away. Finally she told me To go to other Fairweather stores in Edmonton and try to return that blouse, but it depends on the particular store policy whether they would take it or not. Why should I have to drive all over the city to try to get some kind of reimbursement for a defective product THEY just sold to me as if it was perfectly fine? How come there was somebody to take my money at the cash register, but when I went back there was nobody willing to do anything to help me with this issue? Should this be my problem?

The manager at this location, Monique is amazing. Every time I come into the store she is very welcoming and makes a great effort to make sure I’m comfortable and getting exactly what I need. Even when there are many customers in the store she ensures that every one is attended to with grace. This is definitely my go to location for clothes. Thank you for always making me feel so welcome!!

Sept.2020 We were the only customers, Good for us. One of the workers gave us her all, leaving only when someone else came in. She was a gem, racing back and forth with sizes and new ideas. She was lovely, extremely helpful and I couldn't have asked for more. I only wish I could remember her name, so I could tell you who she is. …

(Not this store in particular - Fairweather as a whole): Lesson learned. Shop local - not online. No Fairweather in Saskatoon, and the customer is responsible for shipping costs to return. Most customers won’t bother to return one item - win for Fairweather. Poor customer service.
