Fairfield Library has a modern design with lots of space for quiet reading, studying and work or club meetings. The staff are friendly and there's an accessible cafe at the entrance. There's a large children's area at the back and lots of seating scattered throughout for everyone. You can also keep an eye out for free regular events to join. My main complaint is that there is NO RETURN CHUTE to be able to return library books after hours. I hope they hurry up and fix this; it makes borrowing books a real pain.

As someone who frequents this library, it's definitely quiet as it should be. If you think this library is noisy, try Whitlam Library. It is the definition of a zoo. I prefer Fairfield Library for reading and studying because unlike Whitlam Library, they've got a good selection of books whereas Whitlam has more desks and noisy teenagers than any other library. I used to visit Whitlam library until they decided to facilitates leisure - coffee and all. Fairfield library is now my preferred choice.

The library offers generous spaces to support your studying and working, will also having multiple public computers that allow everyone to access with ease. There are always available electric port for your charging need. The library is not as big as Marrickville or any other library I've been to. And the one problem i am facing is there are minimal book filter, which books lie almost everywhere and took a while to look for your genre.

it is like a market place too noisy special in after school they have a coffee inside the library scandal and that is a scandal by itself they make the people like to sit on coffee the majority of the client the staff very loud when dealing with visitor and they talk between them very loud Fairfield library it is not a library it is a coffee in the market place sure the people like to sit in library they like it .... shame shame shame

Spacious library with plenty of things to do from 3D printing to a console room and even a kids play area. Modern and comfortable facility best used as a place to hang out and relax rather than study quietly like traditional libraries. Nevertheless it is a massive upgrade to the old Fairfield Library and shows that the council cares about its community. Check it out!

Spacious, nice and friendly. However no dedicated space for quietness...some body somehow just had to either mind talk outloud...thinking nobody would hear or somebody just had to use the quiet space to go through their bags and making annoying expressions with lits and lots of sighings...just wished somebody give some considerations to others sometimes.

It used to be a quiet library and now there are so many noisy children running around. Help the staff please they seem so lazy. In weekdays, there are students at the library to do their work but some are just playing games and hogging the computer. They need to share to other people who really needs it.

Very nice place. So quiet you could hear a pin drop . Kids area is sealed off by a glass wall which basically removes any ambient noise. Would recommend to turn the temperature a bit down, had shorts on (hot summer day), and A.C. was on 20 degrees or less - made studying tad bit uncomfortable.

I like the library and all that but there are 2 workers that I don't like. The short Asian lady? why does she care about age so much and the buff white Aussie guy with tattoos around his body. I remember the library was on Barbara or something like that and I liked it so much

I often come to this library to borrow DvD's and manga, the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad experience here. This library is a bit noisy at times, but it's never to the point where Its been a nuisance.

Service I received was amazing. Lady was super friendly & helped me every step where I needed it, and I wasn't sure of what to do. Library itself is small but has most of what you need for a library in terms of services.

The new Fairfield Library has everything you need to study or spend some quality time with all the books. They have computers and a cafe! I love coming to my local library! I would give it 100 stars for the new library!

Friendly staff, professional and well informed about suitable resources. Productive space with multiple areas to service toddlers to business to casual recreational readers. Kiosk as well.

This is not a library, Its a community center where people come to chat and yet the library staff doesn't even intervene..... They should actually start serving coffee and cigarettes here

It's an impressive upgrade from the previous library... it's just in a more inconvenient location. Toilet facilities are good and opening a Café is an interesting addition.

Good place, they've recently opened a new branch but honestly the older branch is much more friendly ergonomically.

Trading hours say closes at 8pm i got there 07:00pm and it was closed, people outside told me yes thats everyday.

Noisiest library in Australia from patrons with no manners and staff who also contribute to noise by not caring.

This along with bankstown and liverpool are probably the best in the west. Newcastle Library is my favourite.

The first library that I ever set foot on. I loved it back in the late 90s. Today it is too packed and loud.
