I have been a customer of this restaurant since 2013 coming quite often I might add. Never in the years have I been going have I been treated so poorly like I was today. Me and my girlfriend went to have lunch today. We sat off to the side until a table was open for us. Once the table was open we sat down and ordered. 3 other customers came in about 5-10 mins after us. By this time there weren't any tables to accommodate their size. Instead of the restaurant owner politely asking them to either wait until a table opened up. The owner commanded me and my girlfriend to move. She didn't ask or anything. I asked her why did we have to move considering there were multiple people sitting at a 4 Person table who didn't come dine with 4 people. Those people just like us have every right to sit where ever they want. JUST LIKE US. she never told us when we walked in the table was reserved. So why wait until other customers come AFTER US and you already took our order and we were waiting for our food to try and kick us out of our original table. It's quite rude . I'm so disappointed with the service today that I don't want to come back. We didn't even bother staying. We were so shocked we just got up and left so the 3 people could take the table. You should never TRY AND FORCE People to move. . Especially if the table wasn't reserved. This situation and how the owner treated and talked to me make me so disappointed. 6 years down the drain.

We ordered 4 dishes for delivery. We ordered Basa Fillet with Broccoli, Ho Fan with Beef & Black Pepper, Szechuan Fried Beef Strips and King Pao Chicken. First the positives - quick service, we enjoyed the Ho Fan and also the Beef Strips were tasty. There’s always a little deficit when getting food delivered as compared to eating in a restaurant, but those two dishes overall were good. Unfortunately the Kung Pao had an odd tomato sauce-like flavor (or maybe ketchup?) and the peanuts - while plentiful were very stale which affected the taste of the whole dish. The Basa was very fishy tasting and we were unable to eat it. We have heard good things from others, so would give it another try. Perhaps it was a one-of.

Ordered 4 dishes, noodle dish with chicken was way overcooked and was more a noodle paste, which ruined it. Deep fried pork ribs were actually 90% deep fried pork fat, maybe only 10% pork if that ...they obviously cheated us there, they were able to hide that there was no meat because it was breaded. It was pretty gross to eat pure pork fat, no one ate more than a bite of that before they were grossed out, other 2 dishes were ok. So half my order was bad. I was disappointed because it had good reviews.

A hidden gem. The only Chinese restaurant I know that serves duck.... and their tofu in black bean sauce is really good. They're also quite good in dealing with difficult situation. I was paying by card and their machine broke. I offered to pay through Interac transfer and they agreed with my suggestion. So everyone who were on the line planning to pay by card stopped worrying and also offered to pay through Interac transfer. Problem solved on both ends while they figure out what happened to their card machine. Good people are always highly recommended.

Today I ordered a pound of their delicious side pork, delicious as always. I was disappointed though with the fact that it wasn't their usual quantity or even close to a pound that I ordered. Usually, their famous garlic hot sauce is included, but it wasn't this time. Ive gone here many times and this is the first time i'd say i was disappointed. always paid cash, always tipped well and even if it is a pick up for take out. Dec.17,2022, 530pm

Not sure how a restaurant can open at 1pm for lunch and survive. It's a Friday and they reply via WeChat they don't open til 2pm. I ordered lunch for pick up for 2:15pm and received confirmation. 2:45pm and the door is still locked and no answer. Good Roast Pork, Duck and BBQ Pork but I will no longer spend my money here as it seems like they don't need it.

Ordered a whole BBQ duck. Not what I expected for a place is known for their BBQ ducks. Duck seem reheated (I mean reheated a few times), dry to the bone, And colour of skin was not what is expected. Called the restaurant and they told me that's how it's suppose to be. Which I know it's not true cause a friend had ordered it a few weeks ago. It was not dry or the color of the skin was pale.

We ordered through Skip the Dishes. Food took a FULL HOUR+ to arrive. It arrived fairly hot though. Food was extremely fine. Under-seasoned, bland, inoffensive. Probably won't order again unless really old white people come over and forget their Gaviscon.

Place is small, you can dine in or take out. At present, take out only because of covid-19. Specifically in southern chinese(Canton) BBQ dishes; like Roasted Pork, BBQ Pork, BBQ Duck, Soya Sauce Chicken etc. Also, some other selection on chinese dishes too. Open 6 days a week, closed on Sunday. Temporary daily operating hours 12:30 noon - 9:30 pm due to Covid-19.

Considering that there is not a lot of places that specialize in BBQ duck in Winnipeg , the food is sadly average at best since Teresa sold the place. If you're in a pinch for BBQ duck and can't make the drive to downtown, then yes. However if mobility is not an issue for you then there are other places that are far better.

Evergreen Restaurant delivered some of the best Chinese style roast meats in the city. And while the restaurant's decor and presentation of each dish could be improved, the flavour is ultimately authentic and the portions reasonable. Worth a visit to treat anyone's itch for Chinese BBQ.

Well the food is really not bad but they owner really needs some work on how to manage their store hours. Neither the time on google or the board on their doors are accurate and you really have to guess when do they open. In fact, I think it’s really depends on the owner’s mood.

I just grab and go. Never done in. The food is exceptional.

Hot and sour soup and the bean curd with black bean sauce were alright. House egg and crispy chicken were good. Service was good and the bathroom was clean but the carpet could have been cleaner. I would go back but its not my first choice.

The place is quite small. It would be better if you make reservation before you go. No private parking lot, but you can park in a street. Dishes are very tasty just a bit salty. Friendly and helpful service.

Hands down the best Chinese food I have had in Winnipeg, and maybe in my life! BBQ pork is amazing, deep fried shrimp, singapore vermicelli. I'm ordering this tomorrow just writing about it. Love it!!!
