Great little bar with excellent spirits selection, good cocktails and wine also. Beer selection is a little limited and the drinks are not cheap but that's only a minor criticism. Bar staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and when my other half spilled her drink they were out to clean up with a free replacement in no time

Entering the disguised and unassuming shopfront, we walk into subdued lighting and too cool tunes compete with the enthusiastic bustle of the Friday night crowd. The cocktails we bought from the small suggested menu were skillfully assembled by the hip staff and tasted excellent.

Always a nice chilled vibe here. Never had the food, but the drinks menu is always a winner. Whether it's wine by the glass, cocktail or a beer, my friends and I always leave here happy. Love the happy smiles from the bar staff too. It adds to the good vibes of the bar. More

Wonderful cocktails! The menu had a great selection of creative cocktails and the customer service was great. All bartenders were very friendly and fast-paced. We loved the New Orleans look and the atmosphere was very cosy. Would definitely stop by again. More

At night the worn down facades looks like a Butcher shop closed down for business. However as you approach you can vaguely make out orbs of light sources glowing in the mason jar candles through the shop front curtains. Upon entry Rock n

A speakeasy located behind a deceptive shop front starts the experience with a degree of exclusivity. Dim lighting and a well-tested menu of innovative cocktails definitely adds a bit of intrigue. The service is very friendly and the bar

Great unassuming place for a drink, you’d walk past if you didn’t realise it was a cool bar behind the front windows that look like an old butcher. Walking though the door you’re greeted by a long bar and tables and a great vibe !!! The

Hidden behind the windows of an old butcher shop, Earl's Juke Joint has a wide range of alcohol on the menu, and is only a short stroll away from the Newtown train station. Has a good old school bar vibe. It's clean and good for after

A hidden gem! At first on the outside it looks like an abandoned shop front but as you enter it is a bar with a dim light setting to set the mood. Cocktails and drinks are served. A good place to mingle and catch up with friends.

Old butchers shop turned into a fun bar. Great ambience combined with well made drinks is the best way to describe Earl's. We went around 6pm on Friday and the place was empty so take a group and go grab a …

Cocktails just weren't nice. Worst Maitai we had anywhere, couldn't drink it. Super friendly staff though and ok atmosphere, loved how hidden away it is. But a bit overrated, won't be back. More

Earls Juke joint is a quirky bar/speak easy based in Newtown, it's got a camouflaged entrance as a butchers shop. for my own taste, a bit too dark inside but I guess it's kind of the point.

All I can comment on is the apple whisky drink and maybe that's all you need to know. I don't even usually like whisky, but I ended up downing 3 of those bad boys. Try one!

Great hidden bar in Sydney. The old school blues vibe about this place is fantastic.
