Three levels of bar space so you can definitely find a spot in here. The different levels have different vibes. I didn’t really check out the ground floor but the second level had indoor seating, somewhat like a casual hotel or restaurant sort of seating arrangement. It was dimly lit and gave the “winter by the fireplace” sort of vibe. The upper level was more bustly, with outdoor seating and a nice view, however you couldn’t really get a seat because most were reserved. Nice place to get a quick drink and maybe dance a little (on the bottom and top floors). Good for sitting down and having a chat, on the middle floor. Probably not really my sort of place, but I can appreciate that it would be a nice place to come on a night out.

Wow. I just had the best Texas BBQ I've had in a long time and I didn't even know these guys did BBQ (caveat is it's Friday to Sunday only). I had the BBQ corn ribs, beef brisket, slow cooked lamb, buffalo wings, mac cheese and potatoes and gravy. They aren't just banging out pub meals, you can tell they take their food seriously from the high quality ingredients to the balance of flavours in every dish was on point . One of the best things about this place is you can get the meats in a platter or by the slice and even the chicken wings come in 3/6/12 packs so if youre like me and like a little bit of everything give this place a try. They also have a really nice rooftop which just adds to the experience.

The pizza was amazing! Absolutely huge. The hod dog was ok. It had rained earlier and all the seats and tables were very wet ut none seemed to care enough to dry/clean them. You could wait for a long time at a bar without anyone attending you. We were there early at around 6 just to have food before going to dendy cinama for a movie and my phone was running out of battery. Even though I had my own charger there was no electricity and the bartender refused to let my phone charge a few minutes before leaving! This whole not charging a phone cuz it's Saturday was way too annoying to let me enjoy the night. This is despite the fact that only 2 tables were full.

Line about 20 minute wait for upstairs rooftop at 630pm on a Saturday. We were able to go into the main bar on the ground floor first and got a cocktail. Ordered the Game of Thrones themed cocktails. Apple and Pay Your Debts. The Pay your debts cocktail tasted like medicine. Hard to drink. Apple one was fine. After one drink tried to go up to rooftop bar. Told we had to leave the venue go back into the line outside to be able to go upstairs. Generally this bar is awesome but today I was a little disappointed. I guess COVID restrictions are turning good places into mediocre ones. Maybe not entirely their fault. But not a fantastic experience nonetheless.

Feral. The staff were unwilling to make a cocktail without the alcohol or suggest any other options for people in our group that couldn’t drink and when I got halfway through my drink I was disgusted to find the glass was decorated with several shades of lipstick. Personal space is not a thing at this establishment and if you go to the rooftop in search of fresh air, there isn’t any.. You’ll be suffocated with every flavour of vape and cigarette. Lastly, most of the bathrooms are unisex, they appear to rarely get cleaned and if that doesn’t turn you off, maybe an inebriated ape shimmying past you before you even get the door fully open, might.

Rude and unprofessional staff wrongly arguing about why my van can’t park at the loading zone next their pub. Because it’s inconvenient him that I took the front spot, so he had to carry the beer container further. He said that I can’t park my van at the loading zone because it’s for the shop close by. Guess what? I was restocking goods at one of the shops next to their pub. Next time the young male staff argue wrongly about the loading zone again. I will call the police. I’m not ok with a bully.

I've been to Webster's a few times but had to stay downstairs because of my knees. I was there on ANZAC Day and I decided to ask about the Inclinator, to see if it worked or not. I asked one of the staff (Andy) and he said that it works and do I want to use it, and I did use it. There were plenty of people playing two up and generally having a good time. Craft beers, Whiskey. Cocktails and food is available. I always find the staff to be very friendly and helpful including the Security. I had a great day at the Rooftop bar thanks to Andy.

Really enjoyed this place on a very wet Sydney night. The rooftop unfortunately was too wet to be outside but there are so many wonderful places to hang out at Websters that it didn't matter. The three of us chose to be on the middle floor and it was a great and very busy vibe. The food was really great with Steak and chips, the Chicken Burger and salad and the most famous of all pub foods the Chicken Schnitty. Nice staff keeping the place clean and safe and making it all a fun place to come in for a drink or a meal.

Went to the roof top bar and this place looks stunning! There isn't huge amounts of shade upstairs but there is an area by the bar that you can sit. However if you get a cocktail ask for NO SALT around the glass. They put so much on it leaked into the drink and it was just like drinking salt water. It was horrible and was the same for the whole group. The only person to get a beer said that the lines hadn't been cleaned in a while and he only drank half the drink. One cocktail cup had lipstick on it Not going back

The staff member was very pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable about all the whiskies on offer. Measures were available in full, half, snd third sizes to allow for more serious tasting. The number of whiskies and from various countries on sale was incredible! Even the number and style of beers on offer was mind blowing. The food menu was extensive and quality was excellent. I'd certainly recommend this bar for many good reasons.

Received great service here from a bar man that knew all about his products. Took pride in telling me about the different whiskeys on offer, also recommended a delicious whisky cocktail, that he poured for me and explained all the ingredients and how they complimented the smokey whisky. Had a really enjoyable experience because of the bar man. Also shared a burger with my wife, which was excellent. Overall one of the best bars in Sydney.

I tried this pub because they put on the street a sign that says "$17 all day menu" with 5 or 6 options. Once I was inside they told me that the promotion is not valid on Sundays. I'm wondering why they put that sign on the street on a Sunday then. I ended up getting a small beer for $15.15 Is this place a scam or what? I guess I know where not to stop in Newtown next time

Security checked my ID but were super friendly. Great cocktails and service. Plenty of seats at 7pm on a Friday night. There is a non smoking rooftop bar with seating, it gets busy earlier than the bottom floors. A huge variety of whiskies!!!! And a decent range of other liquors. The cocktails are really nice too. Brought family from out of town here and they were impressed.

  • Princess Greedyguts

Lovely place with 3 levels. A casual tavern on street level, a cosy whiskey bar in the middle & a rooftop. Tried the whiskey bar which offered intimate booth seating, a fire place, a good selection of cocktails, whiskeys & the usual drinks. The cocktails were made well & staff were friendly. The menu of food also looked good & very reasonable prices.

Cool bar with relaxed atmosphere. Stools could have been more comfortable. Food took a while to come but Battered Fish was cooked perfectly. Light and Crispy battered with delicate fresh fish. Generous portion.

An excellent multi-storey pub just outside Newtown station for after-work drinks. Thanks to Sebastian & Milan for assuring that walk-ins on a Friday evening at the Bourbon Bar are very quiet and enough space for our social group. The rooftop is a must-visit and not too busy in the Winter months hence ample room for after-party vibes.

  • Statler Willand

If you’re a whiskey person, Websters is the number one place to go! They have an incredible selection of just about everything you’d ever want. Could easily spend an entire night sampling their extensive bar. The staff is super knowledgeable and always professional. The few times I’ve had food there it has been pretty good too.

  • Schlumbergames

Really an underrated whisky bar. I highland recommend anyone who live near western sydney to drop by here as they have all the vintage and rare bottles. Many thanks to the manager who take care of me during my visit. Sorry had to run out early. Cheers mate! :)

Nice setting with decent beer and food (slim for non-animal product eaters, you know the “vegan option” menu). As it fills up, they turn the music UP. Just measured it at 99 decibels. Do friends like to have conversations? Is that a thing they do?

Great joint with a warm tavern-feeling to it. A middle storey sometimes quiet for talking, othertimes packed with music to have a bit of a dance with. An upper storey with a rooftop bar, it gets absolutely packed but I'm sure it'll be peaceful during the early evenings. More

Awesome hidden roof top garden and live deejay spinning OG 7 inch discs. The Apple martini tasty and healthy too boot. Good grill based meals on the middle floor but try to avoid the crowds I’d just dining. This place is a big frog going off in a big sock. Awesome.

This is a great bar with awesome atmosphere. The people there are always lovely & the roof top area is such a vibe. They always play good music, and play classic dancing hits everyone knows without skipping the good parts. Drinks are good & well priced for quality

  • Zuben Mathew

Good atmosphere and great roof top. Lovely and friendly staff. The finger foods choices are good and served fresh and crisp. The selection of tap beers were great. Lovely music and good ambience. Great place to take some good photos. Highly recommended..

Since we arrived at the venue, the security guards were following us (xenophobia, homophobia, who knows). I paid for 20 seats, but only received 12. They made fun of me, asking, "Where are your guests?" More than 30 people came to my party.

Webster's usually has something for everyone, provided you can get a spot! The rooftop bar has some of the best sunset views in Newtown, a good selection of beers and a great cocktail happy hour throughout the week. The middle bar has some

Great ppl and great venue. Excellent events and tastings. Food is always tasty and beer selection is varied, great quality brews and always changing so you will never be bored. Roof terrace is lovely and music is fun. Love the place!

I had a guinness on the roof. I felt like a victorious IRA soldier overlooking a war crime in Derry. Obviously I'm against war crimes, but you know what isn't a war crime? Having a guinness on the roof. What a time. Highly recommend.

Came here every week and all of a sudden the menu changed. Not vego or vegan friendly. No parmy on the menu anymore. Customer service diminished. Very disappointing for the best rooftop in Newtown. What’s with the heavy bbq vibe?

Came here on weekday, rooftop not open so sat inside. Not that nice to sit inside when it's a sunny day outside- so dark. Food was okay. Not the cheapest but it tasted ok. Service was friendly, can't fault them there at all.

Fantastic bar. Been here multiple times for their surprisingly good beer taplist and for their premium whisky. Food is very good, considering the price. Service within the venue has always been stellar. Highly recommend

Pineapple sour is amazing! Lobster rolls bloody delish but way too small for price. Should be 3 portions for $12. Delish though. Roof top is fantastic on a warm day. Huge premium spirits selection too. Impressed.

Great vibe if not a bit noisy at times due to its smaller size. Drinks are quite pricey but expected cause it's Newtown. Level 2 has the best music after 10.30pm compared to the other levels.

Fantastic 3 story bar and restaurant. Top floor is mainly a pub, middle floor is mainly a restaurant with a big selection of whiskeys while the bottom floor is also a pub. Great chilled vibe.

Not the best experience. Staff grabs your glases putting fully fingers inside, and fill your glass with drink. Some furniture is just shocking condition with mold and stains, unbelievable.
