Start with the part that matters most... The ice cream is very tasty and you get a good variety not commonly available. They offer hard ice cream, soft serve, milkshakes, you can also buy ice cream cakes and pints of ice cream to take home. It's clearly a popular place given their ropes set up for lines and separate order/pick up windows. We went at a quieter time however there were a couple of items we'd selected that weren't available, we found that despite paying for kiddie cone, 1 scoop and 2 scoops they were all similar amounts of ice cream that made us feel mislead. The tables and order window areas could use a pressure wash. The order and pick up windows are up some stairs so not stroller/wheelchair friendly: the eating area is fine, though. It's an interesting outing.

The ice cream is absolutely amazing. Locally owned, with locally sourced ingredients, so you can feel good about where your money's going. Unfortunately, my most recent visit will be my last. While I can appreciate the extra caution taking in mandating masks at the walk up window despite no legal requirement, I was extremely let down when I was refused service by the girl at the counter due to a medical exemption from mask wearing. As I said, I can appreciate the extra caution, however most businesses offer alternative methods of transaction when provided with the exemption, instead of outright refusing patronage. This was an extremely disappointing experience, me and my family will no longer be supporting a business this inconsiderate.

Yummy Ice Cream It has been a hit or miss here with the service. There are some nice young folks working there. Seems like a chill environment, especially on a hot day (no pun intended). I was on the same boat as another reviewer, Damian, who mentioned being refused service because he didn't have a cloth over his face and nose outside during the summer. I am shocked. While the ice cream was tasty, I didn't like that the place was infested with mosquitoes outside while waiting in line, and that the portion is inconsistent. For the second scoop, the staff scraped the bottom of the barrel and topped the first scoop with half a scoop, despite paying for double scoops. I would come here instead of a large American chain.

Absolutely amazing! The vanilla is perfectly balanced, chocolate is deliciously smooth and just rich enough, and the London Fog is an excellent, refreshing, and delicately flavoured option. 2023 update: almond rocky road is delicious, with real mini marshmallows. Mint chip is refreshingly delightful with little chips, s'mores is gooey goodness, and the lemon blueberry is sweet and fresh and full of real crushed blueberries. Sorbets are rich with blended fruit throughout. Another fantastic outing, top marks.

Ice cream was DELICIOUS, but I ordered baby scoops for my kids liked I usually do at these places and was a little surprised of the size of the actual cone. My kids couldn't even hold the cone. The ice cream scoop was fine, but the cone was too tiny for them to hold. They put a hole in it right away and it became messy quickly. It would have been nice to have been informed just how tiny the cone was! Would I visit again? Definitely! Great little place! I'd simply order a bigger cone!!

Went for a drive on a Stat holiday hoping to find something local open to patronize. Ended up discovering this place and was so glad we did! Lots of people around and waiting is a good indicator of popularity! The ice cream was absolutely delicious! The only drawback was my daughter was in a wheelchair and it has stairs to go up and down to order/receive so my daughter couldn't order or receive her ice cream. Accessibility was disappointing but still worth the visit.

Ice cream is always great. I like how the flavours get shuffled every so often. Doing great with covid protocol every time I've been except last where I had to remind them to wash hands after digging through what looked like their tip money to get enough change for the next customer. (They were apologetic and immediately washed their hands - just forgot in the rush). Very friendly and perfectly sized portions. 1 scoop is enough for me! :)

We were driving by looking for Popsicles. As I'm allergic to dairy and can't have ice cream from the many little ice cream shops we saw. We decided to give this one a gander and low and behold they have 2 vegan flavors. Peach sorbet and vanilla coconut. they were both delicious and a very good price. I'd drive to carp from Ottawa southkeys for this icecream any day. Would love to see more vegan flavors! For cones.

July 2022 update: Tried it again and it was fantastic, so I'm updating the review to reflect that one flavour was amazing (salted caramel brownie) and one flavour (butter tart) fell flat. Original review: Super disappointing, flavourless ice cream. "Loaded" butter tart had about three pieces in a kids sized scoop, and the ice cream base tasted like sad vanilla. Generous scoops though and the waffle cone was great.

Amazing Homemade Ice Cream! ---------------------------------------------------- We discovered this ice cream stand earlier in the year. Wow! What a treat for anybody - especially a dairy-free vegan. Yep, they do this wicked double chocolate (vegan style). Cones, bowls, and take home containers. The take home containers are reasonably priced - given the high quality. A must stop gem of a place. Doggy Cones @ $1.

One of the many delights of Summer is taking a short evening drive to Carp and getting ice cream at The Creamery. The ice cream is delicious with some interesting flavors like chai latte, banana nutella, chocolate orange. In addition to the ice cream, they also have soft serve, and make milkshakes, etc. For the vegans, they offer a vanilla vegan flavour. This is a lovely local business and well worth a trip..

  • Stephanie Zellerer

Amazing ice cream made with real ingredients and so many unique flavours as well as the old stand-bys. This is our go-to place for ice cream cakes and we try to always have one of their take-home tubs in our freezer(though they don’t last long!). They are constantly coming out with new creative and delicious items. If you have an ice cream weakness like I do, you need to make the trip to this place.

  • Tova Larsen

Sweet JESUS, this stuff is amazing!!!! I live in Westboro, was in Carp for other reasons, and discovered the Creamery. I got peanut butter chocolate, incredibly rich and filled with peanut bits. Now I am hopelessly addicted and will be making the half hour drive just to get this ice cream! And it's totally worth it. Pros: so good it's addictive. Cons: SOOOO good it's addictive lol.

  • J O

Expensive, smallest servings imaginable like the Baby Scoop... not a scoop at all but a scraping of ice cream size of a teaspoon. Person in front of me ordered the Baby Scoop and upon seeing it returned it as it was so tiny. Milk shakes barely thickened with ice cream. I emailed them to complain and never heard back. Not a professional business at all. I DO NOT recommend it.

  • Miles Rowat

Great selection of flavours to choose from, including vegan options if that tickles your fancy. Single serve is done at the window, but if you're only ordering a tub you can go directly in the store (1 person at a time during Covid-19). Waffle cones and sugar cones are a small premium. Enjoyed the Vanilla SkOreo while family also like Cookie Monster and Maple Walnut.

  • LtFirefighter

I picked up a small container of cookie dough ice cream for $10 at Kichisipi Brewery. For the price I guess I had pretty high expectations. Large chunks of cookie dough but not many at all. This was mostly just a bland vanilla ice cream. I'm sure the other flavors are great, given the good reviews, unfortunately, this one wasn't worth the price in my honest opinion.

  • Lonely Wolf

Super friendly staff, very clean place, lots of shade where you can sit at the picnic tables provided and their ice cream is one of the best ice creams I have ever had before super creamy and full of flavour! Their key lime ice cream tastes just like a key lime pie!! And the serving size for the price you pay is perfect I would highly recommend this place!!!

  • Roch B

Delicious ice cream, with interesting mix of flavours. Not only ice cream but sorbets and vegan options too. All good! Also, they have tubs (small and larger size) available to take-away - and fill your freezer! Tip: order a cup of vanilla ice cream and add a shot of espresso from 'Alice's Village Cafe' which is next door. Support your true local businesses!

  • Eduard A

Staff is always friendly and store looked clean when I went in. Cashier was knowledgable where the stuff in the fridge was so that's good. People in line didn't distance but that's not the ship's fault. I love cooking here for their delicious icecream (tubs). In summer months I'll buy tubs a couple times. Also worth a visit during Carp drive in bingo season.

  • Sami Bismarji

Our kids and us love going to Carp Creamery. We live not too far and for us it's a nice evening outing. All of us are always excited about the flavours.. the young boys and girls selling there are always friendly, with a smile on their face, and... ice cream is amazing and very reasonable price-wise.. If you haven tried there yet, you're missing big time

  • Lani Haque

I initially went to Carp to visit the farmers market. Decided to wander around the town. Passed by the ice cream place and couldn't not stop in. First ice cream of the summer was a nut fudge ice cream from the Creamery. It will be a tough act to follow as it was very good, beautiful weather and seating area outside and I loved all the flowers!

  • Melissa (YYZ)

This place gets line ups from the locals, but the staff conscientiously put up tented shade for the winding line barriers so you don't roast in the sun. The young staff are friendly and efficient. My friend and I had double scoops each, and I picked up a container of mint chip to go for another friend which was promptly devoured within 2 days.

  • Alex Parsons

Best iced cream in Ottawa. Tons of great flavours, some are pretty unique. We love getting their waffle cones in the summer but they also sell tubs so it's good all year round. They've usually got some pretty great dairy-free options as well - their dairy-free peanut butter chocolate flavour is the best dairy-free iced cream I've ever had.

  • Jessey Spezzano

Stopped in for a couple scoops with the girl friend. Great location makes for a good scenic walk around the carp area. Good portions, fair pricing. At the time of our visit they didnt have certain flavors available, and they dont label their ice cream flavors. So you have to ask for all of them basically, except the more common flavors.

  • Jessica Doyle

Delicious vegan ice cream with a ton of flavour - the chocolate flavours are almost cake-like in terms of flavour! The vanilla coconut is also delicious. Have been a few times and even mixing up the hours (my fault) I was still able to grab go-to containers because of the super helpful staff. Worth the trip if you're not in the area.

  • Jamie Kadir

A great place to go for ice cream. They just switched over to their summer hours, so their open even earlier! There are always new and different flavours to choose from, and their portion sizes are great. Don’t be shy to ask for a sample before deciding on a flavour. Can’t wait to go back now that we’re moving closer to the area!

  • Cleopatra

Great array of unique flavours in hard ice cream. Dec lupus soft serve available in chocolate, vanilla, or swirl. I’ve cream sandwiches and sundaes are great too. Other offering available such as take home ice cream containers. Sometimes long lines in the summer but worth the wait. Parking available along the street.

  • Ashley

Amazing people who work behind the counters, they were very polite and sweet. Sadly they didn't have all the flavours but we bought a bunch of flavours to try out. The ones we sampled had some hit and misses. But they were really inexpensive for custom ice cream at $9/10 for a litre. Gotta support the local business!

  • Johanna May

Gluten free chocolate brownie is the best. I'm not gluten free, but it just happens to be my favourite chocolate icecream. We also tried the ice cream cakes once, and it was very good. The prices are family friendly especially when compared to some other local places. Parking can be tricky on a beautiful summer day.

  • Brent Young

Mildly disappointed and reduced my rating to 4 from 5. Just visited the Carp location yesterday and bought a piney of salted caramel brownie. The top portion had a good amount of brownies and caramel, but the rest it was sorely lacking. Will go back to buying the premium supermarket ice cream as it’s better value.

  • Mazen El Cheikh

Ok. So the service is great and the guys work there are so friendly and welcoming. I looked inside the kiosk and it was super clean. The product variety is awesome, we tried around 4 different flavours and all of them were tasty. Raspberry cheese is a must to try! Worth the visit and definitely we're coming back.

  • François Lelièvre-Lemelin

Dipped in chocolate soft serve ice cream melted and dripped everywhere in matters of second after receiving our cones. My daughter clothes and shoes were covered in melted ice cream / chocolate instantly. This tells me that the temperature is not checked / controlled. If you go, get the hard ice cream instead.

  • Jason Chute

Bit of a wait because of how busy it gets on a nice hot day, but so worth the wait. The icecream continues to surprise me just how good it is. Tried the vanilla skoreo cone today amd found a new favorite. I love how they have $1 Doggie cones for your furry family members which includes a teeny milkbone on top!

  • Jessica O

I only gave 4 stars simply because I can’t speak to the quality across the board as I only tried one flavour but man oh man, that one flavour! “Banoffe Pie” - I believe my immediate reaction to trying it was “possibly new all time favourite flavour of ice cream.” Will definitely venture back here to try more!

  • Ebenezer Connacher

Great spot, with delicious options you haven't had elsewhere (or if you have, nowhere near as good as CCC). The dog absolutely loved her lil pup cup ice cream too. Friendly and fast customer service. Only thing is the tables could stand to have some umbrellas as it's pretty hot directly in the sun.

  • Mark Christopher

Ice cream here is really amazingly delicious -- five stars for that. There is always a lineup on hot days so be prepared. If you are lucky, the picnic tables in the secluded shade of the trees are available. My only beef is the ice cream is so $$$ so had to deduct one star for that.

  • Andrew Wardell

The ice cream is spectacular here. I've always looked for a really great sorbet and it tastes so heavenly. There are all sorts of flavours that are very unique. Thank you so much for accommodating ice cream that is vegan and non-dairy. Great prices and look forward to coming back!

  • Fady Khudair

One of the cutest places in WEST Ottawa? You get the small town feel. It was so cute watching the teenage cashier getting flustered while he’s taking the order from another tennage customer of the opposite sex…. Little crushes ❤️ ❤️ Hometown cuteness at its finest.

  • Kate McLeod

Went with my best friend who considers this the best ice cream in Ottawa. For me, the best part of the visit was the absolutely beautiful front garden in the private residence across the street. Just stunning, and I can only imagine, a huge amount of work.

  • Marcela Ang

EDIT: lots of picnic tables available! The Raspberry Cheesecake and Strawberry sucker Punch are so good!!! . This is our mandatory stop after a day at the beach, the ice cream is great! Just wish there was somewhere to sit (benches, chairs or anything).

  • Kim Calsbeck

Great small business, and they make a good variety of homemade flavours. Just make sure you go early as they run out of their most popular flavours - my kid’s first and second choice, and my first choice were out by the time we made it through the line.

  • Andrew Laramee

Fantastic ice cream and service. They have a large selection of flavors available to buy in tubs but only a select few available from the the window. The banoffee (banana toffee) was particularly good and the cappuccino was a favorite among my group.

  • Maya M

Visited the Creamery back in July. I can't imagine how people can manage to get photos of their ice cream... it was so good and those were only the two flavours I had! Will definitely return to try some others. Perfect end to a summer date night.

  • Shawn Cumpston

Ohh my goodness. We drive 30 minutes and pass a dozen ice cream places to come here. Soooo awesome!!! All flavors are great. No subpar options here. Get 2 half scoops on your cone so you can try multiple flavors and you will not be disappointed.

  • Julien Gagnon

Amazing ice cream! Homemade waffle cone, wow!! Worth the drive out to Carp. One knock against this location is that their stairs are starting to show their age and would need to be replaced. But don't let this stop you from going, so yummy!!

  • Miguel Rodriguez

Hiden gem on ice cream. Love the double vainilla-coconut, rum, maple pecan, an cappuccino among other nice flavours they have. They also change with the season, for sep and Oct they had pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice, and cinnamon bun. Yummy

  • Ora Tsang

Excellent ice cream made with top quality ingredients. They even had vegan options during my visit and they were not made with coconut milk which is great because the flavors don't get overpowered by the coconut flavor.

  • Zayne Keefe

This place is so good, they have the most scrumptious ice cream I’ve ever eaten, I am going to go broke from buying tubs, worth it though

First time trying this spot in Carleton Place. Brought the pup for a walk here, and all the staff and other customers were super friendly. This was the Cookie Monster in a sugar cone. Highly recommend this flavour!

  • Tom Grana

Best ice cream in the West of the city by far (except for when Stella Luna comes with their cart to the Carp market). Their Black Cherry is amazing. They even have a few vegan flavours - highly recommend the peach.

  • Mike Crouchman

Love local made ice cream. We've been going here for years and noticed lately that the serving size has reduced and price slightly increased. It's a pretty popular spot! The product is hands down the best I've had.

  • alex cast

Amazing ice cream, wonderful staff, would recommend anyone to stop by for a scoop! The only thing i might ask is that the milkshakes need bigger straws as the straws that are provided you can barely drink through!

  • Michel Sturgeon

Amazing ice cream. Wide variety of flavours for "by the scoop" option, and even more choice for the pints. Excellent sweet treats, and friendly staff. A great experience every time. Will definitely return often!

  • Jessica Bertrand

Our new favourite ice cream spot! I’ve loved every flavour so far and the kids are huge fans of their milkshakes. The staff are great too and happy to customize my littlest’s order (whipped cream but no cherry!)

  • gord mcinnes

I just can't stop going back. Ice-cream is soooooo good!!! Its my new place for ice cream cakes and I always pick up a couple liters of my favorite ice creams. Too many to choose from you won't be disappointed.

  • Bing X

We used to come here regularly for cones and buy tubs for the winter. But It feels like the flavors are more tailored to kids now. I wish they could still have some interesting flavors like they had before.

  • Diego Perez

The ice cream is delicious. And the milkshakes were really good! Still doing good since the last time I was there. Recommend eating Ice Cream there after spending time in the Diefenbunker or the vineyards.

  • Ashley Zahara

Super cute ice cream stop! The ice cream is all made on site which I love! We had the double chocolate brownie with their homemade waffle cones. It was decadent and rich and I loved every bite!

  • B T

Great ice cream and variety if flavors for everyone. Lines can be a bit long in the summer but worth it. I'd give them a bonus star too if I could for their pup cones which my dog ways loves.

  • Moca Ford

Purchased 2 ice cream cakes from here! They were amazing! Communication from the moment I ordered them, to picking them up was seamless! A kind employee even helped bring them out to my car!

  • Jessey Rice

Great ice cream spot. Flavors change all the time. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. They have gluten free cones and waffle cones. They also have frozen cake and ice cream to go.

  • Brett Wakeman

The BEST ice cream ....ever!! Amazing selections which is ever evolving! True authentic ice cream which is so rare to find these days. You will NOT be disappointed. Highly recommended!!

  • Abby Laporte

The ice cream was so amazing!! So many fun and new flavors to try. All thought the line was extremely long maybe because everybody wanted a bite of the sweet treat on a hot, sunny day.

  • Natalie Cantle

Very original and unique ice cream flavours ! Also offer vegan and dairy free options ! Also the ice cream is AMAZING ! Also have pup cups which are super cute. Definitely recommend.

  • Reaz Ahmed

It's one of my favorite places when visiting Ottawa. I tried their vegan vanilla in a cone, this coconut milk based gelato was proper! Taste and sweetness is subtle yet elegant.

  • Sana Fawad

Went here for the first time yesterday - loved the raspberry cheesecake flavor, lemon blueberry seemed to be another popular one as well as chocolate. Will definitely be back!!

  • Ron Carmichael

The most awesome ice cream ever. There was a sizeable line and we got up to being served in a very reasonable time. The dog also enjoyed the doggie ice cream cone as well....

  • Anita Badovszky

The most unique and delicious ice cream flavors ever! Genuinely one of the most delicious stuff we've ever had. There's such a huge variety, you definitely won't get bored.

  • Claude Guay

Delicious ice cream, and lots of flavors. Friendly helpful staff, but limited parking on weekends when the frames market is on. Will definitely go back to try more flavors!

  • Mike Batchelder

This ice cream is so good it should be illegal. Thankfully it's far from where I live or I would weigh 700 pounds. You must go there whenever you're in the neighborhood.

  • Brett Woods

Great ice cream! They have a unique variety of flavours on rotation with some kids favourites readily available. It's a perfect stop for cooling off on a hot summer day.

  • Paul Jaworski

This place does not play games. What it does do is make some of the best creme glacer y'all ever had the pleasure of eating. Get the Reese's ... You will not regret it.

  • Prashant Kapoor

The quality of ice cream is excellent and it's a very popular place in Carp. They do they variety of options, with my personal favorite being cotton candy and nerds.

  • Mahreen Kazi

I loved their ice cream cake and the best deal was the kid's cone for about $3. Absolutely lovely. Small place, just take out offered but the ice cream is fantastic.

  • Stella Chen

Favourite ice cream place in Ottawa. My favs are London Fog, Creamy Cone Explosion, and Cappuccino. Only complaint is that parking is a nightmare on busy weekends.

  • John Taylor

Have a flavour you have already tried from the super market say like black cherry and the difference in quality is immediately apparent. It’s like night and day.

  • Shawn Lynch

Always new tasty products to make each visit awesome! Flavors you can't find anywhere else. Worth the drive, bike, or walk and bring a cooler to take more home!

  • Joel Alarie

Had a twist cone and the Skoreo hard ice cream from them and it was very good! Staff are polite and friendly! Absolutely will go back to try out other flavours!

  • Jessica Loslo

Always love their ice cream! Just finished up the icecream of the month club between 2021 and 2022 and we loved trying new things we may otherwise not order!

  • Bal

Great find while in the Ottawa area. This is in Carp and man, ice cream was delicious. My favorite, strawberry shortcake . Free street parking. …

  • Gabriel Posada

One of the best locations to go for Icecream. They are really good and staff is really nice! I would recommend everyone to come to this place!

Fantastic! You know it is good ice cream when you can't make up your mind on what flavour you'll try next.

  • Tina-Marie Hussein

Can't stop myself from always popping in. If it's by myself for a 1L tub or a treat with one of the kids.
