We visited this location last night for dinner with our daughter. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smile and kindness. We were seated, and our server James was amazing. He was friendly and took the time to go over the each menu with us. They have the option of buying a bottle of a wine to drink at your table, and their knowledgable staff was able to recommend a great bottle of red wine based on what I shared that "I usually like". (I wish I would remember this staff's name- but her recommendation was right on the spot) Service was great!!! They were on top on making sure our water was always filled and also our wine glasses. Food came in quick, hot, nice presentation and absolutely delicious. We ordered: the octopus, the gambas, the pan with tomate, the croquetas, a toast with salmon on top with a honey spread so delicious that I wished I could buy to take home. We also ordered their snapper daily special, on a bed of chickpeas which was my daughter's and personal favorite. After a very hard work week, this is what my soul needed. I am so glad my husband invited us to try this place. We are definitely returning to get a taste of the other menu items, and another delicious bottle of wine.

Exceptional spot demonstrating the growing food scene in JAX. Everything we ate was as, or better than, expected. The comfort and professionalism whilst discussing and ordering wines off the wall was a cool touch most places would prove incapable of providing... This is a place for everyone, and the staff makes everyone feel welcome. The seating won't appeal to all, but it creates an environment leading toward new ideas and potentially new friends. If there's a knock, I would love to see their tinned seafood selections expanded, but that niche isn't for everyone. The bravas were perfect. As a signature dish, one must expect it to be so, and they delivered. The light sauce touches (aioli, bravas sauce) worked just right to amplify the dish, vice overpower. The skewers (a favorite of ours in most tapas joints) were a perfect level of brininess with the subtle heat of the pipparas breaking through. Cocktails were fun, although many people are intimidated by sherry drinks. Spanish beer is garbage, but it's cool to have classic and authentic options on draft. A true cocktail menu would be nice, and one must assume that is part of the future for this gem in the vast landscape of bleh, known as the Jacksonville food scene. Easily one of the top three, overall, restaurants I ever visited in JAX. I haven't stopped telling friends about it in the past couple weeks. I can't wait to go back to try working our way to the end of the menu.

We went to Bar Molino with my mom from out of town. The wine we had was delicious as were all of the tapas we had. We had the smoked rib special. The flavor was good and they were good - not falling off the bone, but not bad. We tried the mushroom croquetas, charcuterie board, tortilla, tomates de herencia and the Tarta de Santiago. The texture and flavor of the tortilla was amazing. I could eat one by myself. I personally loved the tomates de herencia though they seemed to be the least popular dish at the table. I'm a tomato lover though. The dish has a hint of sweetness, but otherwise tastes fresh and bright. The sauce that comes with the mushroom croquetas is garlicky goodness. The charcuterie board stood out as one of our favorites and is well apportioned. The ambiance was nice. It definitely has that wine bar feel. The one thing I didn't like is that there were more flies than I like to see in a dining establishment. I would still give it another shot because everything was so good.

heir happy hour is only from 3-5pm :( and my driver, aka my husband has work till 4:30pm. So we instead made a reservation at a later time. Bar Molino is a Wine and Tapas restaurant. I really wanted to try their coffee based drink but they also have a wide selection of wine, and as my mom always say, order first their specialty before trying something else. I like my red wine dry and unsweet, so our server Brian, who was very knowledgeable in all of their wines and tapas recommended the Cubillo Rioja and it was perfect! Just the way I liked it! We ordered several of their tapas such as the Bread, a must try! So simple yet flavorful! The olive oil with garlic and sherry vinegar was so good! Pintxos Gilda, Pan Con Tomato, Patatas Bravas, Gambas Al Ajillo, Skirt steak, Setas Al Jerez, Pulpo a la Plancha, and Razor clams in brine were also sampled and everything was amazing! Nice interior with a corner where wines are sold. They also sell the conservas they served such as the mussels, sardines, mackerel, etc. I urge everyone to visit this place! You will not be disappointed!

I had an opportunity to visit Bar Molino in Jacksonville for my birthday! Let me just say, we had a FANTASTIC time there! Our server Megan was excellent and on point! She took time to discuss the menu items and after dining she assisted us with some take home wine selections! Alfred was also great, he made us feel welcomed and comfortable! Now for the food... AWESOME! I had the Pan Con Tomate with Manchego (delicious!) , the Torrijas (order two, trust me!) , and the Gambas con Calasparra (this dish is positively addictive!). There is an excellent wine menu as well! I had a glass of the 2015 Lopez de Heredia, and a glass of 2021 Finca Torremilanos. You can relax, eat, drink and wine shop at Bar Molino! If you are in the neighborhood, you should stop in, we are definitely going back for more! ♥️

Not going to lie. I think we got pretty lucky getting a table here the night we visited. But when you're a parent and you unexpectedly get a night out you kinda gamble and take chances and it worked out this time. But in the future, get a reservation haha. We were seated at the "community table" and had an absolutely wonderful time. We ended up being the only ones at this table btw. Landen was our server and was nothing short of phenomenal. I pretty much asked him to bring us 3-4 of their best dishes blindly (something I have never done) and he delivered big time. Every plate was just amazing and left us wanting more. It also helped out that Landen is a sommelier and was able to help us in pairing wines with our dishes. Seriously a huge thank you to you man, we appreciated the dinner. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food, the atmosphere and the people are great. We hope to visit in the future.

Absolutely amazing experience. I was worried at first about whether there was additional parking but thank goodness for an awesome courtesy valet. I met up with a group and we sat down to our own table and ordered several plates and shared. I could see it being a great place to go for a date, but it was honestly better fit for friend group gatherings! The drinks are perfection and the food was delicious. Everything we ordered came out so tasty. There are so many truly delectable plates that easily would go between 3, a little tougher for 4 but we made it work. We tried nearly everything on the menu! It is a bit loud for those who are sensitive to noise, but we really enjoyed the energy. The waiter we had was so knowledgeable, kind and had a great sense of humor, which was so crucial for a positive experience. We felt very well taken care of. You could see that his goal was to ensure we had a great time! We definitely did!

This is our first visit and immediately we liked the atmosphere and the look of the restaurant. It's small but it seems to accommodate enough. The food was good and we loved the shrimp and the red grouper dishes. It doesn't quite compare to the Spanish themed tapas restaurant in Orlando (Santiago) and Curate in Asheville but this is a good addition to the Jacksonville dining scene. We did end up sending a few dishes back for various reasons but they made sure to take care of the issues and comp those dishes. Drink selections are extensive and our server David was awesome. FYI: Parking needs to be planned out if you don't want to be forced into valeting your car. There are only a few parking spaces directly in front of the building and by the time you pull up then you are one way trapped into valet. I was fine with it but just sharing for others to know. Overall we liked it and we will be back.

Unbelievable experience at Bar Molino. My husband and I went for our first real date night since having our daughter in May and everyone we ran into made the experience remarkable. From the host, to our server James, and the other employees that assisted in bringing over our drinks (Brian) and food (Pauleen) - we couldn’t have asked for a better time. If you need a night out that’s a bit fancy with the perfect amount of casual mixed in - Bar Molino is exactly where you need to go. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The chef and team are artists. (Do yourself a favor and get the Porron too - thank me later )

Not so happy hour meet up with my brother and sister-in-law. We had a reservation at 5:30PM and happy hour ended at 5. Why not until 6PM? We started off with some cocktails, but I ordered the Maeloc coder. That was pretty good! Foodwise, it's tapas style so we ordered a little bit of everything to try. Pintxos Gildas - skewers of anchovies Razer Clam Conserva - elongated clams Pulpo a la Plancha - grilled Spanish octopus Gambas al Ajillo - sautéed shrimp Setas el Jerez - mushrooms sautéed in Sherry Patatas Bravas - crispy fried potatoes Skirt Steak - flavorful sliced grass-fed steak Bread Service - toasted sourdough Casual atmosphere great when meeting up with friends. Good food and service. Our server was very knowledgeable. He knows everything Bar Molino has to offer from menu items to wines and drinks.

The food and wine is always great here. A cute tucked away restaurant in San Marco that’s been open for about a year. I’ve always had fantastic service, the food is cooked to perfection, the Spanish oil they use is to die for, and the wine is unmatched. Highly recommend.

We were lucky enough to go to the soft opening and we can't wait to go back once its officially opened up. We weren't quite sure of what we wanted to order, but our server Conchetta, was so helpful. She recommended some dishes and drinks we normally would not have tried. The mussels were a fan favorite at our table, as was the potatoes, and mushroom croquettes. She was so knowledgable and gave us a great experience. The wine I had paired wonderfully we the food. My dad was with us and is more of a beer drinker, but she suggested a cocktail (it had Sherry and soda in it, don't remember the name), which he loved and will be getting again. The food was so flavorful and was presented very well. Everything was also incredibly well priced. We cannot wait to go back.

I loved every second of my dining experience! I have now been three times and have had excellent food each and every time. Things you cannot miss - whatever special tapas of the day they have (it’s always fabulous), mussels en escabeche, croquettas, jamon sampler, and tortilla espagnole.

My husband and I absolutely love Bar Molino. We find that it’s hard to get the full package in Jacksonville - a restaurant that hits the mark on food, service, AND atmosphere. Bar Molino truly succeeds. We spent our honeymoon in Spain and were transported back by the amazing selection of Spanish wines, including hyper-local stuff like txacoli from Basque Country. The selection of vermouth is also impressive. Last but not least - the food!!! I’m not usually overly concerned with “authenticity” in food but Bar Molino certainly delivers. Beautiful, shareable, and delicious. This is a place to go with your best friends and make memories.

  • Kyle Cobb

Kurt Rogers and his crew at Bar Molino have created something very special in Jacksonville. This incredible restaurant in San Marco is a love letter to Spain and a passionate one at that. With an exquisitely curated tapas menu, a wonderful and knowledgeable service staff, a talented executive chef and kitchen staff, and an open and warm atmosphere, our night was perfect from start to finish. I was there with my wife @kellywalkonis, celebrating 4 years sobriety and was promptly given multiple alcohol free options, including N/A beer and mocktails. Looking forward to eating my way through their entire menu over the next several visits!

  • Dave Kinde

Went here for Mother's Day with a group of 6, including my 2 year old son. Had reservations, so seating was immediate. First thing that stood out was everyone, including staff, was smiling and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Always a good sign! The menu could be intimidating, but our server Brian did an excellent job guiding us with confidence and was critical to the overall enjoyment of the experience. Every dish we ordered was a hit. My son, a notorious food critic, even liked most of what he tried. If you go, hang the menu up on a wall, throw some darts at it, and just enjoy whatever they bring out. It'll all be great.

  • Katie K

Excellent service and it was crazy how fast the food came out. We loved our sangria and wine and loved 4/5 of the dishes (loved the octopus, but not a fan of the meatball). Prices a bit high for some items (tomato on two little pieces of chewy bread for $8 was not worth it). The con was it was SO loud. Multiple large tables and the sound was just bouncing of the walls. My husband was miserable the whole time and wanted to leave bc of the loudness so that kind of ruin the experience. If we come back it would be early in the night and maybe to sit at the bar.

This place has a great vibe. The staff are all very warm and welcoming. Loved the mocktail option (pictures below), it was beautiful and delicious! They also have non-alcoholic beer, which was tasty. Of course, they have a great selection of wine and bartenders who know what they're doing. Their drink menu has many options. The food was amazing! I suggest reserving a spot if you are going for dinner. The bar has open seating, but fills up fast in the evenings. Happy hour is a must. We'll definitely be going back to try additional menu items!

10/10 for so many reasons, and quite possibly my favorite restaurant/bar in Jacksonville! Have visited for brunch, happy hour, and dinner (tapas) service and all food and drink menus are absolutely stellar. Bar staff is knowledgeable, well-versed in wine/sherry, and lively. Space is well-appointed and comfortable, with plenty of natural lighting, an on-site bottle shoppe, and both on-site and valet parking. Not enough nice things to say; will continue visiting again and again and again.

Went there to celebrate my birthday. They went out of their way to make it special. Food was very tasty and came out timely. The server was very attentive. The valet parking was complimentary. Really enjoyed the visit. The only negative was took a long time to get a to go order and it was a loud atmosphere but I know that just depends on the patrons there at the time. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Such an amazing experience at this place! We tried the pan con tomate, mushroom croquettes, and patatas bravas - all so delicious!! We also had a variety of drinks all imported from Spain, including the Estrella Galicia lager and Los Dos Cava. The owner Kurt is very passionate about what he does and uses his past experiences in Spain to make this bar a special experience for everyone; he was always around to answer any questions we had and made great conversations. We would love to make this a spot we frequently go to!

We had an extended family get together here for brunch. The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. We ordered 7 or 8 plates and shared everything with the table. We totally neglected to take photos, but have to rave on this meal. Fabulous dinner and drinks at Bar Molino night before last. I love the way the menu evolves and you can never go wrong with one of their specials. Chef's special was a grilled pear and Roquefort salad - so rich and delicious. We followed with pan con tomate, a dish of light and delicate catfish 'nuggets', and perfectly grilled scallops and pulpo. Just exquisite, and plated so beautifully. Service as always was impeccable!

  • Michael Thomas

Had my first dinner last Friday night, 10-2-22. Had an excellent server, Meghan. House wine prices were decent: $5 for house wine for happy hour and $6 after happy hour. It is truly a Spanish Tapas Bar. Tasty but small and I believe expensive. We tried 4 items plus dessert, excellent. It was a special with chocolate. With 2 glass of wine be prepared to spend $40-50 per person including tip and tax. I will go back and ask for Meghan to be our server.

  • Gavan Berzman

One of the best dining experiences I've had in Jacksonville. My mom and I felt like we took a trip to Spain. The food and wine were excellent and the service from our Server Brian was exceptional. His knowledge of the menu items and culture really made the experience one to remember. The Pintxos Gilda, Patatas Bravas, and Tortilla Espanola were all good options. The place to go in San Marco if you're looking for great Spanish Wine and Tapas!

  • Nef Miles

Not a fan. Seems like this is owned by someone who visited Spain, loved the food and said "I bet you I can make money if I did this in Jacksonville". First time ever being served Octopus out of a can. Drinks were ok, staff was great but nothing authentic about this. I guarantee you that if you were in Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia serving this quality of food with this type of presentation they would not be open for long. Sad but true.

  • Adriana Ibrahim

The food was delicious. We enjoy the suggested items. Very impressed by our waiter Brian Mastin. The location is good, limited parking but can valet your car. The wine suggestion was a crowd favorite at our table! Will specifically go back to Bar Molino to enjoy this wine and continue with the choices on the menu. I look forward to the Happy Hour. The kitchen looks great and appealing since it’s exposed. Nice easy decor. Staff is A+++

Listen up foodies! Jacksonville has one of the tastiest new restaurants that I have had the chance to experience… crazy good food, tapas, drinks and sherries! Service was on point, owner was there and so very friendly , great atmosphere and crazy good food! I am a Jamon fan! Best thing on the menu! Everything was uniquely plated and the flavor profiles were outstanding. Seriously.. check them out! Oh.. Free Valet parking as well!

  • Kirt Tucker

One of the best and most unique bar experiences I've had dining in Jacksonville over 20 years. The staff is incredibly accommodating and ready to answer any questions you might have. I even spoke to the proprietor briefly and he introduced me to a new wine that is sure to become a new favorite. Only the bar in this visit but I will definitely be back soon for dinner! The sherry cocktails are wonderful be sure to try a couple!

  • Jess Jones

I was lucky enough to be not only a patron of the soft opening but I wound up being their first customer ever. The staff was warm and inviting and had lots to tell me about their menu of tapas, wine, beer and their extensive sherry cocktail menu. I shared tapas with several people at the bar and loved the experience overall. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic date night spot! Brian took amazing care of us and we loved all of his recommendations. We tried the Jamon Iberico de Bellota, Tortilla Espanola, Calamares Fritos, Zanahorias en Harissa (Carrots), Mejillones con Nduja (Mussels) - my favorite, and the Crème de Catalan for dessert. Terrific food and drinks in a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back for sure!

Delicious small plates - fresh, unique and perfectly splittable on a date. The service is fantastic and we love the atmosphere. Kurt gives the best wine recommendations too - don’t leave without asking for advice on a take home bottle! We love to leave with wine to share at our next dinner with friends. This time he clocked I was looking for a “party time white” perfect for the patio. Nailed it

  • Linzee Ott

Fabulous tapas and wine bar! Authentic-style tapas, well prepared and presented. Staff was super knowledgeable and friendly, with great suggestions. Indoor seating is a lovely atmosphere, but the back patio is also very nice — heaters are provided on chilly days. The owners also participate in the community and support neighborhood events, which says a lot about their business. Great spot!

  • Alexander Loukianov

We did the wine tasting they offered and it was phenomenal. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through every single bottle painting a wonderful picture. Had a fantastic dinner at Bar Molino. Every dish was just so well crafted and perfectly balanced. Loved the stuffed piquillo peppers, belly tuna, and of course the patatas bravas. The service was also top notch. It was a busy night, and yet our water and wine glasses never made it lower than half full before they were filled right back up. We will be back often.

Bar Molino is a must try!! They offer a variety of Spanish wines, they also have some beers. The tapas were phenomenal. We enjoyed every one we got but the mushroom croquettes were my favorite. The patatas bravas also delicious and the chef’s selection board was great highly recommend giving this place a try, the service was excellent

Oh, this place is a treat! Tapas is the perfect theme because the little plates enable us to taste so many amazing dishes! A new restaurant/bar in San Marco! My husband and I with friends decided to try it for after dinner drinks. The atmosphere was very nice. We ordered the octopus and decided on wine. We will be back to try the full menu, but so far so good. Our friends ordered cocktails and looking forward to trying this menu as well for next time.

  • Amber (Penney Farms Princess)

The newest hot spot in San Marco with Spanish tapas & wine. Traditional flavors with elevated ingredients... So. Good. If there’s one thing you have to try, it’s the hand cut Jamon Iberico that you can see displayed in front of the kitchen. Melts in your mouth. Also, have you ever drank from a porron? Ask for it. It’s a good time.

Great food in a relaxed environment! Ask for Brian if you want an incredible culinary journey paired with regional wines. Bar Molino easily adapts dishes to meet dietary restrictions (Gluten Free, Pescatarian). Add Bar Molino to the top of your list of restaurants to try in Jax. The complimentary valet is a plus!

  • Devin Harkins

This place is fantastic, if you are in the area it is a must try! Brian was our server and he was fantastic, seriously one of my favorite dining experiences. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the Remolacha Asada, Pulpo a la Plancha, and La Albondiga. I will definitely be back the first chance I get!

  • Joy Bossardet

We just found our new favorite restaurant! The service, flavors, and attention to detail were impeccable at the soft open. The Imperico Secreto was AMAZING. Everything was extremely flavorful and perfectly balanced. Excellent service and dishes you won't find anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Every single thing we ate and drank was amazing. This place is absolutely the newest gem in Jacksonville. Stuffed piquillo peppers and the Tortilla Espanola we're my top 2 tapas. Our server SJ was also fantastic, super knowledgeable on the drinks and especially food. Cannot wait to go back!

Estrella Galicia 1906 on tap is a must. Patatas Bravas were really good with both salsas. Jamon Ibérico de bellota tapa is small for 25$. Mushrooms croquetas are delicious too. Gambas al ajillo should not have lemon flavour. Overall, was a good spanish food experience

  • Amy Rogers

Amazing food, the flavors are just phenomenal, every dish we ate was bursting with flavor. The cold brew martini was delicious and the scallops were so tender, they were melt in your mouth, had to be my favorite. It was the perfect place to celebeate our anniversary.

  • Azi Yavari

THE BEST! Delicious food, great drinks, attentive and friendly staff. They also change the menu often and it's a delight to be able to try so many different foods and flavors. I am obsessed--my new go-to for drinks, happy hour, dinner, gift cards...you name it.

  • Morgan Kickliter

What a great experience! Went for a birthday dinner, got six dishes and two beverages. Everything was excellent. Brian was our server and he was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Food came out very quickly and was delicious. Looking forward to going back.

We have been a few times to Bar Molino and each time have had a fantastic experience. The food is amazing with unique tapas that you would expect to find in an upscale restaurant in a major city. The wine selection is top notch with amazing Spanish varieties.

  • Tara Dupelle

Service is always top notch, food is excellent, plenty of wine and beer selections. I've had dinner and brunch at Bar Molino and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. The French Toast at brunch was DIVINE. A lovely place to relax and enjoy some food and drink.

  • Deborah Simpson

Amazing food and service! Delicious wines, excellent craft beer, and every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection with incredible flavors. Also very welcoming atmosphere - from the hostess to the bartenders to the valet. Overall exceptional experience.

  • Antonio Allegretti

We had a great experience. The happy hour only went to 5 but thankfully we made it before it ended because it features a bottle of wine and three apps for $30. Everything was very good. We sat outside on the patio which was nice and breezy. Recommend.

  • Matt Carson

Fantastic new addition to the San Marco neighborhood and Jacksonville!! We've been three times already and it is such a great dining experience every time. The food is spot on, the service is dialed in and the wine selection and cocktails rock!! Go!!

  • Saed Spahija

Fantastic Experience. All of the tapas were delicious. Jamon had the same authentic taste that you would find in Spain. The attention to detail from the owner, staff, and waitress made it a place we will be visiting again and again in the future.

  • Bradley Bragg

Outstanding meal! Brian, our server, was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. Other waitstaff were extremely attentive. Wines in the adjacent shop/bar were extremely affordable. Food was flavorful and authentic. Highly recommend. A+

I’m giving a five star review because the food is absolutely incredible. I almost dropped it down only because of the level of noise in there- it’s very hard to hear. But the food is so good that it’s worth it and the server said they are

Fantastic little spot in San Marco. Great location and very interresting menu. Spanish menu with vast wine selection, couple of good beers, and a really good Sherry drink mix selection. Great staff and a very clean and shiek restaurant.

  • Kelly Josberger

Excellent small plates. We sat at the bar and saw some tasty looking cocktails being made. This time I had wine, but will go back for one sometime. Each dish we had was delicious (the salad, tuna, tortilla espagnola) Yum - so good!

Delicious Spanish style tapas with a high end feel. Quick service in a cool, casual setting. Great assortment of tinned seafood if you’re like me and love them as a delicacy. Really great selection Portuguese and Spanish wines. A+

Happy to add this place to our weekly outings. Great tapas paired with wines or wine inspired cocktails. We have literally tried almost everything and all is excellent. Hoping to try the sandwiches next door for lunch one day.
