To start we waited 20 mins for a hostess to seat us and ended up seating ourselves at a dirty table because no ever one greeted us. I had to literally walk in the service areas to find someone. Once I found the hostess she cleaned our dirty table and brought menus. We were left there being walked passed and over looked for another 20 mins! Until I stopped what turned out to be the "manager" and asked were we gonna be served? She explained yes and apologized for the long wait. About 5 mins later she takes our drink and food orders. Everyone knew exactly what they wanted as we had been staring at menus for about 45 mins by now. The drinks took another 20 mins to come out and my carona Rita wasn't even available after waiting 20 mins! Had to settle for two house Margaritas instead ‍. By the way WE STILL HAVE NO FOOD. About 15 mins later food arrives we watch the game and leave. The staff seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced. Ive worked in the restaurant business for about 12 years now and this was some of the worst service I've experienced to date! I was calm and respectful when expressing my concerns to the manager on duty but she seemed uninterested due to her poor working conditions with staff. This was my first visit to this restaurant. The dining area was virtually empty at around 7:45 pm. I have never seen a restaurant wherein the host/hostess and wait staff hang out in the back in the kitchen as though the restaurant is not open. It was so bad that a couple came in at approximately 8:45 pm, stood at the front, then sat at the front waiting to be seated for approximately 20 minutes. They finally left. Even after they left, it was still some time before anyone came out from the back. Wow!! I need to note that I stood at the front for about 10 minutes before anyone came out to seat me. All that said, the food was average. I even had to ask someone to get my waitress so I could checkout. Now, before you think it was close to closing time, the restaurant notes hours as being open till 1 am. I was just simply amazed that it did not seem there was any management going on in the place. If you walk in and the restaurant is not full, turn around.

Let me tell you about our experience! Sam was our waiter. We asked if he was new and he told us he is normally a cook but he was helping out being a waiter. I don't know if he was in an excellent mood but he was soooooo nice. He understood the front and the back. He took out orders without any mistakes! And we were so nervous because we figured we would have some problems but he was spot on! I told him to stay in the front because the back isn't for him. Our first time here. It is also our last time. Terrible. I would never recommend this to you. Run don't walk past it. It looked ok at first glance, then I realized how dirty it is. They had a large birthday party and no staff so we waited over an hour for our appetizers. I had the Boston Nachos. Not good at all. Funny, the manager came to apologize for taking such a long time, said she had to have it cooked again because the first batch burned. These were also over cooked. I had the new Taco Pizza. Yuk. The crust was disgusting . There were no bend as advertised on the menu. My husband had the French dip. He said it was good but there was no horse radish as per the menu. He started feeling an upset stomach as we left. This place is poorly managed. It is awful. I wished we could leave negative numbers. It would be minus 5.

I highly recommend Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar located in the River City Marketplace. Recently, my children were craving peach sweet tea, even though it was already past 10 o'clock. Unfortunately, our usual option, Publix, was closed. After calling several other establishments, I was disappointed to find that they did not offer a gallon of sweet tea, and most of them were already closed for the night. However, Boston Restaurant & Sports Bar at the River City Marketplace exceeded my expectations by going above and beyond. They brewed a gallon of delicious peach sweet tea, which turned out to be the best I've ever had. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the new manager and everyone involved in making this happen. Thanks to their exceptional service, I left as a very happy customer.

The wife and I had an early dinner. We started by ordering water for 2 and drinks. Only 1 water was delivered. After asking a couple of times a second water showed up. My wife had wine and I had a mix drink. Liquor is measured by shot glass. Could not taste liquor with mixer. I talked to the bartender and ended up ordering doubles (bartender was good). We ordered Penne with chicken and shrimp w/ side salad. The shrimp was really good. The chicken was not tender. The penne had way to much Alfredo sauce. We asked for ranch with the salad but received Caesar. We don't think we had the full attention of our server even though there was only 1 other couple in the place. Lastly, the dish was over priced.

We tried Boston Pizza Sunday 8/27. Our waitress, Ashley, was great. Food so-so. Bacon wrapped Steak skewers...here's the clue. The bacon has to be cooked, which means if you like the sirloin med. rare, not happening. And the meat needs a marinade b4 cooking. At least salt & pepper it. Other wise, it was just pieces of steak wrapped in bacon. Buffalo cauliflower overwhelmed by vinegar. That's all you could taste. The presentation of foods was great. They had plenty of staff wandering around trying to look busy. But Ashley & one other waitress were the only ones on the floor, waiting, sweeping, restocking., no team work.

Went in for dinner on Father's day and they were dead! Went in the back door apparently and walked past about 10 employees standing around before we figured where to go to be seated. Our waiter had to be told three time what drinks we wanted and took about 15 minutes before they came out, then he took our order and it took an hour and a half to get all of our food. We had to ask for silverware, refills, napkins and ketchup ( which was damn near empty, the coleslaw and tartar sauce that was supposed to come with one meal and I was completely done eating by the time my daughter even got her meal which was a cold salad! Will not go back

This was our second time going there. The first time was horrible the food tasted like it came out of a can. So we tried it a second time. We ordered chicken wings, a pizza and a French dip. The wings were black and nasty the pizza was bland and undercooked the French dip looked and tasted like it was made with steakums Horrible. The police were there when we got there because of a fight. After we completed about the entire meal they still charged me $70 for food we didn't even eat. I would not recommend this restaurant to ANYBODY EVER!!!!!

Ordered Shrimp and Chicken Pasta. Chicken was very dry and old.I called back the next day to complain. TT Manager Rachel. Xplained that I am reluctant to complain about bad food at the point service. This could caused some cooks and servers to retaliate. She said she would call me back but it could take while. My translation was, kick rocks to the customer. I have spent a lot of money at Boston's over the last 4 years. The place was empty that night. Perhaps the owner's should try to bring better PR and leadership to this business.

I almost never leave a negative review but I feel I would be remiss if I did not keep it real for my readers. We walked in to the bar and was stopped by an employee who told us they were not serving anyone. At that time. O k no harm no foul. I simply Walked up front to the waiting area period it was at that point another employee approached me and told me I was not allowed to wait inside the restaurant and had to get out. I asked, could I not just give you my name? And you call me later? And they said no. You have to leave and come back. Maybe fifteen twenty minutes later. We had a wonderful dinner for seven, with our two small children (ages 8 and 6) and teenager with plenty of food options. We split three small pizzas---the BBQ Hawaiian, Mama Meata, and Chicken Artichoke---that were delicious. We also loved the appetizer sampler plate, which was delicious but didn't fill us up too much. Best of all, the service was amazing! Tianna was a kind, professional, and fast server.

Place was empty on a football Sunday so that should've been my first red flag. The 3 hostess/servers at the front were as unprofessional as it gets. Making smirks to each other and giggling to themselves as we were just trying to get a comfortable spot in the restaraunt. I ended up just leaving right then and there as my brother felt uncomfortable. I'd give a 1 star based on the customer service alone but we didn't get a chance to try the food so don't feel a one star is completely warranted.

Do not eat here if you are gluten-free. Little to no choices and they messed up my salad. They were very quick to fix the mistake when I asked questions after it was served, but the original waitress we had, has zero clue about gluten and didn't listen when I told her it had to be gluten-free. I had order pick up to rake to my dad at nursing home and a pizza later for us. I returned and they had bot made my pizza. The manager and staff were very nice and added wings to my order at no cost. I had never been here before, and was looking forward to trying something new. We were greeted and sat quickly. Our drink order was taken and we were asked about a starter. We decided to get the Team, so as to try a bit of everything. The food was wonderful, however the service was not. After the appetizer was on the table, she didn't check on us again. No drink refills, no asking if we wanted to order mains, or desserts...nothing. Worse was that she was actively socializing with a 4 top directly next to us. We had to waive her down for the bill. We left disappointed and ended up at Longhorn.

Service was terrible. Waiter just walked up to our table and stood there looking at us.....never greeted us or initiated conversation. I ordered a small pizza for myself and one for my daughter. We got our pizza and mine was cold in the middle. We never got refills on our drinks and didn't see our waiter until he finally brought us our check. This was my second time here with a similar experience as my first time. There are enough other places to eat, I don't need to come back.

The restaurant was empty around 4 pm and a sign indicated they were under new management, so we were hopeful. The pizza was lukewarm. This was my first time dining here. The pizza was delicious, the queso was good too, but the broccoli cheese soup was gross. It was watery and had thick fibrous pieces in it. The flavor wasn't that great either. The server was not trained. We were not given plates, napkins, and our drinks were left empty sitting on the edge of the table for quite some time. I would probably order some pizza to go but I'll never dine in again.

Boston’s was good at one point. My review is limited to Pizza and Customer Service and both are the definition of five stars and excellent. This is great Pizza, I've tried both seasonal items and the regular menu. The pizza was ok. I enjoyed the heart shape in celebration of upcoming Valentine’s Day. I may have to try different varieties of toppings. The service was s good. The drinks were good too. I believe there’s an all day margarita special. I’ve been here a few times. This places is my go to when I come in on late flights to Jax. Great place to catch the game.

Great job on the Garlic Parmesan wings tonight! So good, I had to chat with the manager & tip the cook!!! They really nailed the new flavor and the cooking was perfect. Next time we will eat in the dinning room, instead of the bar area, for a little less roudy customers and a bit better service. If not for that, this would have been a 5 star experience.

The atmosphere is great, there is live music here on Sunday. The service was decent, most of the food was great… however we ordered a cheese pizza and unfortunately it not very good, looked like it was made earlier in the day but the manger was very nice and we were able to solve the issue.

I love this place! I came for the second time this week and they told me they were out of the of the thai chili shrimp bites due to delays. Then Dallas the kitchen manager came to my table with the shrimp bites! I dont know how he did it but he made it happen!!!! Bubbles is an amazing server as well!!

We went at happy hour and tried several appetizers, including the Buffalo coliflower. Everything was good but not really enough to share.

I have been here several times the place has a good live band on the weekend's the food is ok atmosphere is chill not a bad place to watch the game or the fights. Their mixed drinks are cheap but not strong . The bacon wrapped steak skewers are tasty overall a decent spot .

I had a good experience here. The barkeep was engaged and friendly. The pizza selection is good. The Mama Meata pie was great. The kitchen is fast. Great selection of beers. Nice ambiance. I wish there was more social distancing at the bar as it wasn't enforced here.

Very good pizza. We had great service. Our server Tiki was great... good cocktails aa well....we will be back! We went back the next day Tiki was .our great server again. outstanding friendly and fun. Our food was very good..I tried the steak it was yummy.

Food took almost an hour for 3 to go dishes. The service was very good. The atmosphere was okay. Very loud due to karaoke out on the patio, and TVs were at an awkward angle to view from the bar.

Got a thin deluxe pizza...good pizza but very small and way over priced for what u get. Curbside service very quick and friendly. Would eat there more often but based on their prices just can't afford it in this economy More

We were the only customers in the dining area. It's was around 5pm.... My food was delicious, but my husband's chicken we smaller than we thought it would be... Good service though... Will go back for lunch, but not dinner

Can't review more since we sat for over 20 mins with not a server or person greeting us.Was not acknowledged by any of the multiple wait staff who walked by.First time and clearly the last.

Boston's is hands down one in my favorites restaurants in Jacksonville. But today I tried something new (Backed Lasagna) and like always I was not disappointed. Service like always amazing.

The staff is prompt and very friendly. I love the atmosphere and the staff I ordered the Flyin' Buffalo calzone. Overall, it was very fresh and well made.

Disappointed; Nachos and toppings were burnt and costly at that. Would not recommend Nachos to anyone. Pizza was good thought. Beer prices seem high.
