"I used to love the quiet floor to study, to get actual work done, it was a place where people of common goal would respect each other"
"Amazing staff, clean facility, "good" place to study"
For an IUPUI student the university library is a great resource not only for all of the research and leisure materials available but also as a flexible study space offering many computers for use in both public and private settings. You can reserve rooms too. They even offer dedicated conference call rooms set up with software like Skype. The 3rd floor is dedicated as a quiet floor for those who need a more peaceful environment, and the second floor contains the statistics math assistance center, a useful tutoring service
I love going to the university library. It is an amazing place. They have a lot of books and sorted them by color and subject. Very beautiful place to study. They have a quiet floor as well as a floor that students are able to speak with each other. They also have rooms that you could reserve to study which include connecting your laptop to a tv for screen sharing. On top of that on the 4th floor, you are able to view the buildings at downtown. It is absolutely gorgeous at nighttime. It is my happy place on campus.
For $1 the public can access their computers and 4 cents to print with a guest card. It is bascially the public library with some restrictions and I'm okay with that. The only thing you are limited to computers with a blue sticker but most will be open. The staff are friendly and will help you out. This has been my go to before the public library for years mainly because of the open space and is not a hangout place for those who live on the streets after being harassed by a man at the central library.
I used to love the quiet floor to study, to get actual work done, it was a place where people of common goal would respect each other.... lately the library has allowed for this to be less of a quiet floor and more of a secondary fourth floor. The librarians will do nothing about the complaints, and will simply just allow it to continue. If you want to find an actual quiet place to study or work on campus, your best bet is to find an empty corridor or class room.
Amazing staff, clean facility, "good" place to study. The quiet floor is a "good" place to study; unfortunately they allow people in the 4th floor to get EXTREMELY loud which defeats the purpose of having a quiet floor right under. Loud groups in the forth floor can make the library a place impossible to study in. They need to control the loud groups to allow the people that are really studying to do so.
Amazing space to learn, study, work in groups, acquire technology & video skills equipped with very knowledgeable staff. Open spaces or study rooms of solitude that create a productive workbspace with unlimited resources! Grateful for every opportunity to study in this space and delighted by free coffee, microwave use and vending machines.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting to study. Staff is friendly and they do come up to quiet floor to let people know they cannot be talking and being loud. I have seen this first hand.
Great place to study, but why isn't the Library open later, especially on weekends. I know it's a commuter campus, but closing at 6pm on Friday and Saturday is quite frustrating.
It's a really nice place to study. They are open for most of the day during the semesters. The selection of books and manuals are also great. I go here to get work done
Good place to study. The second floor is a quiet floor so it is a good location to get away to to do intense studying.
