Booked a 6 night vacation in Akumal Mexico with Jenny Ellis. Our experience initially with Jenny was pleasant, she was nice, assuring, and answered all our questions. Upon booking our room with her, we booked a Tropical Room, and were told the transfer from the the airport to the resort was 30-35 minutes, of course not the case, took us 1hr and 45 minutes to arrive to our Akumal resort, and 2hrs transfer back to the airport for our departure. Upon arrival to our resort, we were informed by our resort staff we booked a "Jungle Room" we told them many times that we booked a "Tropical Room" with our travel agent, and the biggest diffrence between both of them was that the "Tropical Room" we actually booked is located ON the resort, our jungle room that we got was a 15 minute walk to the resort and we had to get a shuttle into the resort (if there was a shuttle available). Our resort staff said if we had Jenny call to confirm our room (Tropical Room) they would move us, Upon messaging Jenny about this issue, she didnt see a problem with it at all, didnt call and we had to settle for our "Jungle Room" which is not at all what we booked with Jenny. I mentioned to her if she communicated with the resort we would be moved to our actual booked room, but that email fell on deaf ears. No response. Never do reviews, but we spent quite a bit of money on this trip, and putting my trust in a travel agent kind of put our mind at ease, till we got there. Do your homework before booking here.

We went to the Iberostar Paraiso Beach Resort Riviera Maya, Mexico. We booked through sell off vacations and they were great. We traveled as a family of 5 and had a great trip. The grounds were beautiful and the animals were everywhere. The resort is combined with other resorts so it is very large. We didn't mind the walking at all but if people don't like that much walking another resort would be better for them. The nice thing about such a large resort is that there are many pools so it never felt crowded. The food was good but not exceptional. Vegetarian options at the a la cartes were slim to none. My daughter is a vegetarian so it was sometimes difficult. I find it surprising that the resort didn't have more options considering a lot of North Americans are vegetarians. The Japanese was excellent and our favorite. The entertainment was great at the pools, beaches and at night. The rooms were standard and fine. We did book a King bed and got two doubles pushed together, so that was odd. We just dealt with it. We were on the 3rd floor. No elevator if people have an issue with that then they should book ground floor. This is my second trip to Riviera Maya, I would stay at this resort again if the price was right but do like the idea of going to other resorts to see what else is out there. Overall a 4/5 resort.

Review of Hotel Pelicano Cayo Largo Cuba. Definite pros and cons. The beach was excellent. The trip to Sirena wasn't worth the $5.(7-8 CAN) Although the beach was declared one of the best by the UN, you have to pay for the chairs and pay to use the outdoor toilet. Food was average. The wine from Spain was good. The Cappucinos were excellent. Angel deserves kudos in this regard. The 2 theme restaurants were good with Ranchon my favourite. There was a preponderance of flies which you always had to shoo away when eating and drinking. No hot water for the 1st 2 days. TV didn't work until the 3rd day but not much of a loss since CNN and Weather were the only watchable channels. No Canadian TV which is bizarre since 80% of the clientele are from Quebec. Most of the staff were quite friendly and obliging, a couple borderline officious. It helps when you speak fluent Spanish as I do, but much of the staff can speak basic English and French. There are sometimes chronic shortages since everything comes in by boat and the schedules vary. Some days no butter. The last day of my visit no red wine and no draught beer only in cans. The infrastructure is showing it's age but the rooms, etc. are generally in good shape and clean. All in all it is value for money and I would return.

I have booked at this place before and had had great experience. However my Son Micheal Tabone and his girlfriend booked a holiday. They worked hard to make this vacation happen with covid and all they were so excited as they should be. My son went to sell off vacation in Hamilton and booked with Jenny Ellis Terrible travel agent she never notified my son of the change of flight. When my son called she mentioned yes I got the email with no flight change. So wrong Jenny I did travel for 15 years and that never happened. They paid an additional 1200 dollars plus hotel and the whole team did nothing to help them. Terrible customer service Jenny. As well as the team at this location. You would think after 2 years of not working they would be happy to get customers and referral. Thanks for being so kind and telling my son oh well nothing I can do. No help no suggestion just oh well Jenny had the email from the airline on May 1 and the flight was on May 8. My son was in contact with Jenny Ellis and she said all is good. They should be refunding the 1200 plus hotel. The trip was over 5 thousand dollars Rest assured that I will let everyone know about this place and miss Ellis

I called sell off vacations today in a complete panic. I dealt with a lady named Ashley O'Brian. I was trying to book a vacation for myself, fiance and daughter under one booking and a single occupancy for my mother in law on another at the same time. I submitted my mother in laws first and right away tried to do ours, long story short the flight was completely booked and it was not updated on the site as yet. There was no way my mother in law would want to fly alone. I called in got Ashley and she assured me everything would be ok and she will get this fixed. We later realized the hotel was booked solid as well. She ended up getting my mother in laws trip canceled and refunded. Went out her way to help me find a new hotel that would suit all of our needs. We went back and forth for about 2+ hours with hotel ideas and then she found the perfect one. I would like to Thank you Ashley for putting my mind at ease and for going above and beyond to help us find our dream vacation. We have now rebooked through her. If anyone is looking for excellent customer service while booking their trip, call Ashley O'Brian at the hamilton office. Keep up the great work!!!

I have booked so many trips with selloff. I used to use redtag, or travelocity, but honestly.......coming from someone who books 6 months worth of vacations per year, I wouldn't go anywhere else but selloff. James Foster has to be the ABSOLUTE BEST travel agent I have ever dealt with. I have been to 60 countries, and I trust that man to book the best trip for me. If it weren't for him, i would have had a bad vacation many times over, but he does everything he can to make sure you get the trip that you want and desire. I wouldn't use anything else other then selloff!!! But trust me.....use James Foster, he will find you the best deal, and he is BEYOND what your expectations will be in a travel agent!

This Sell off Vacations location isn't even worth a star. Went into this office to book a destination wedding, spoke to travel agent Mr. Pratt, he was great, gave great information, went into great detail, really sold us on a few resorts.... BUT when it came to following up.... I waited and waited for an email or call... nothing.. than I emailed, got nothing back, than I called, he answer, said sorry, said he just got the quotes, and just got my email, told me he would email the next day with the quotes .... AND YET AGAIN I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM HIM! WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! THANKS ALOT MR PRATT, you did nothing!

Mike Pratt has been our travel agent for a few years now. In 2015 he helped my husband and I plan a PERFECT honeymoon in Jamaica. Again, in 2016 he helped me book a trip to Mexico with my mother and we were blown away by the resort he picked for us (had a lazy river) and now I am currently talking with Mike to book a trip for a bunch of my friends to head to another resort in Mexico. I wouldn't trust anyone but Mike with any of my travel needs. He is extremely helpful, honest and reliable. He always makes sure that our requests are met and any concerns are addressed. HIGHLY recommend Mike!

I was the lucky winner of a travel voucher kindly donated to a charity event I attended. I contacted Sell Off vacations and Don Robertson was my contact. I must admit I thought perhaps since this was a prize I might be met with indifference or worse.....I was pleasantly surprised at my greeting from Don and how helpful and professional he was....we had special needs on this trip (accessible cruise cabin, wheelchair rentals etc) and Don helped us get everything we needed.....the cruise was amazing (Alaska) and we would recommend and use Sell Off again!!!

I had a terrible experience with Jenny Ellis. I requested to cancel my vacation on June 7 and hoped to get my $300 deposit back. It is now July 9 and I have not received anything. I emailed Jenny Ellis periodically. She kept promising me that she’ll give me the deposit the next day but I still haven’t received anything. It’s been over a month now and her excuses were that she was busy and that she went on a vacation. She takes a long time to reply to her emails and hasn’t been answering her calls. This is all so unprofessional and unacceptable!!

Absolute amazing service here. Wonderful people on staff that make it such a pleasure to book a trip - they go through each and every interest you have and line you up with the most perfect vacation! We had Don set everything up for us and we couldn't be more thankful for his knowledge about all the places we had interest in. He lined us up with a beautiful resort, convenient flights and overall a great price for such a beautiful 5-star place. Originally booked our trip online, but when I couldn’t get through on the phone to cancel (when the government advised against international travel) I went to this location and talked to Don. He was great. There was a lot of uncertainty surrounding travel when we cancelled, but Don took great care of us and made sure we were able to get travel vouchers from the tour provider for a future booking. Would highly recommend a visit here for your vacation needs.

When looking for resorts he carefully listened to what my priorities were and then showed me many options. He took the time to view them with me and add any first hand information he knew about them. We have now booked twice through Sell Off. Shehzad Kamal helped us both times. The booking experience was extremely pleasant. Shehzad offers excellent advice without forcing his opinion on you. For both our trips, he was able to get us exactly what we are hoping for and then some. We will definitely come back for his amazing and patient service in future.

Don Robertson our travel agent from the Sell off Vacations at the Gage and Fennell branch was top notch. Don helped us plan both our driving trips to Scotand and Ireland and arranged all the accommodations and flight for a fabulous holiday. Have booked several times with Selloff. Mary-Lou and Ashley were amazing with the initial booking. Had to cancel one trip due to a death in the immediate family. The Hamilton Office manager sold me a flight which included additional fees for baggage services I didn't request (was charged economy standard rate; I need economy light only). Was refused any changes to the flight booking, and received zero monetary compensation for this overpayment. I will never use this agency again.

Poor service for our last two trips. Information/links/follow up/airport instructions not provided causing multiple issues at the airport for two handicapped customers and lack of knowledge for the online visa process. Will find another Travel Angency for our upcoming trips (traveling internationally 4-5 times per year)

Shehzad Kamal made our Disney vacation the very best. He answer all our questions and gave us the best price compared to others. We are recommending him to our family and friends. Me and my husband have never experienced such an amazing travel agent like him. We look forward to future vacations.

The Cubans and Cuba are wonderful but the food was mediocre and beaches were full of refuse. The Brisas Guardlavaca Hotel is another story water was coming out of AC in ceiling power went out completely no hot water then no water it was a horrible hotel.

Booked 2 flights paid alot of money and then wasnt told my baggage wasnt included therefore adding at least another $300 to my travel experience . Wont use this service again. Said they would get back in touch to investigate but they never did.

Our group of 14 used selloffvacations for recent Mexico vakay. Surprise fees of $35usd cash per room at resort upon checking in. They cancled our first booking leaving us scrambling to find something else more expensive.

I had a wonderful time, I loved the resort, the food was fantastic. I was impressed with West Wing, clean plane, good enough food, wheelchair help. All in all a great trip at a great price. plus a wonderful trip advisor
