Recently i took a ebike conversion kit to the bicycle hospital. Charlie the owner is an honest, smart & laid back fellow. I believe he is the 2nd owner of the shop. Been there over 42 years. He & his son (i think he was charlie jr.) Unpacked everything and laid it on the table. Then he showed me pics of used bikes. He suggested a used ladys huffy cruiser. Perfect for me. I cant get my leg over the bar on a mens bike. I am on disability and heading for my 3rd surgery. Having the huffy converted to an e bike will take me places that i wouldnt be able to go on a regular bike. The bicycle hospital has outstanding customer service and a large inventory. Makes me think of the way bike shops were..family owned...when i was growing up in yorktown indiana in the 60's & 70's. Charlie..i salute you sir for being one of the good guys in life!!!! i purchased an originial schwinn early 70's exercise bike from the bicycle hospital a few years back. My nickname since h.s. has been "stoney". Thanks to charley & the bicycle hospital. Old man stoney at 62 rides again! peace out.

Absolutely fantastic family owned bike shop. I’ve had to come in here for a variety of reasons over the years, and the experience is uniformly excellent. They are knowledgeable, but do not treat you as an idiot when you ask basic questions. They can help you find what you need (bike, lock, helmet, lights, etc.) but do not exert uncomfortable sales pressure. Their repairs are well executed with rapid turn around and very reasonable pricing. My wife bought a bike from this place last summer. Recently, she got into a minor wreck and dislodged a few aspects of the braking system. I brought it in for repair, and one of the employees asked me if I had ever brought it in for the 30 day tune up. I said I didn’t think so, and to my surprise there was no charge when I picked the bike up the next day in pristine condition. If you’re looking for a place to buy anything bike related, or if you need a repair, COME HERE. There’s no better place in town.

I have taken our adult bicycles to the Bicycle Hospital for routine service several times. I have always been pleased with the repairs, and more importantly, with the friendliness of the owners who greet me and work on my bicycles. My most recent trip was for a repair to a borrowed child's bicycle . Our grandchildren are coming for a a visit, I had borrowed bicycles for them to use, and one of the bikes had a "frozen" rear axle. Entering the shop I was once again greeted very warmly. I explained the problem, the bike was wheeled into the repair area and fixed. The owner who repaired the bike (very quickly, I thought) explained what he had done, and I found the cost of the repair to be very reasonable. As an aside, their retail shop carries a wide range of bicycle accessories. I purchased a tire pump to replace the one I have which is failing. I recommend the Bicycle Hospital very highly !

This is my go-to shop for everything bicycle-related. It's a bit out of the way for me (about a 20 minute drive from home) but the workers here know and love bikes. They have some high-end bikes for sale but their primary market would be for mid- to low-end bikes, which fits me to a tee. I've bought two new quality bikes for my kids so far here and will be buying a third soon. They have a large quantity of used bikes for sale too in their basement, just ask them to show you around. Prices are great and turnaround time for service is good too. It's usually a good idea to check on their hours before heading over; I know they are closed on Thursdays but there may be some other times that they are closed, especially in the winter months.

I'm so glad I have such wonderful place to service our bikes and get new ones as our kids age. The customer service is amazing! The knowledge is impressive. The personal touch is amazing. The prices are reasonable. I highly recommend to anyone, use the Bicycle Hospital for any and all of your bicycle needs! If there is something they don't do, they'll still help with advice...for example, I needed to get a hitch on my Odyssey (for a bike rack) they had some great recommendations and advice about where to go and what to look for. Old school bicycle shop. Locally and family owned. Quality tune up and repairs done on my bike. Significantly less expensive than some of the major chain bike shops. I highly recommend this place Update Feb 2022 Beat the spring rush getting my bike in for annual maintenance. Now is the time to do it in February. Discovered I had a cracked bottom bracket in the crank. Removed plastic part and replaced with metal part. No more clicking with each revolution. Great repair with the right parts. Fyi - disappointed with Giant bikes using plastic bottom brackets on their rode bike. Will contnue to take my bike to the Bike Hospital.

Cool local bike shop with lots of new and used bikes of all kinds, from mountain and road bikes to electric bikes. Their expert staff assembles everything in house, and they have professional relationships with a number of the big bike manufacturers. They also carry all the accessories, including helmets, lights, and tools. Jennifer was awesome. She helped me choose the bike that fit my needs and answered every question I had. They also offer a free tune-up after so many rides, and they fixed a little derailleur issue for me months later, no questions asked.

Staff were so friendly and helpful right as I walked thru the doors. They had used bike in stock and repaired for me.(chose a used bike over new one because I like older frames and design they're much lighter to me) Cost under 200 for the fixing and new tires and tubes. Perfect for college students bc I know the brokenness that comes with being a student. I highly recommend. Seriously a lucky find that there was a bike in my size. But theres a lot of variety I think is worth checking out no matter your biking needs. Will be back in the future!

This is exactly what I expect a bicycle shop to be. I went in and the Charlie was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I got a great price and extremely great service. Having dealt with other bicycle shops in the area and knowing how they just do not have the same mindset of providing a great service. He charged me for work but then did more work by making some small adjustments and didn't add anything on. Great place, go there for any and all bicycle needs.

This place is run by the kindest and most talented people! Brought my bike in with a flat back tire and with no idea how to get my wheels back on after taking them off to fit in my car. It took a singular minute for them to fix the back tire (and it only cost $17!!!?!) they then took the time to explain how to get my front tire off and on for the drive home, and helped me load the bike in my car. Thank you so much, such a great experience!

Can't say enough about the staff and service. Brought my 20 year old bike in for a tune up, for my son who wanted it. They showed me that it needed wheels and tubes, which I knew, but also a pedal was cracked and the cables should be replaced. Never once did they say it was junk and needed replaced. I took it in to make it safe for my son and he was so excited to get it back and says it rides like a dream now. Really great service!

Affordable, knowledgeable, friendly, and affordable- worth repeating. Bought my bike there a year ago Feb 2021 took it back for a tune up one year later and it only cost $75. Having been a long time customer of Bicycle Garage Indy fire over 10 years, I can say that it is much cheaper with better service. The breaks no longer screech and it rides so well. This is a family run business. You get the best support. I think they are open Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat to cope with repairs. They expect a surge of needed tuneups in the Spring due to the high sales last year. I recommend getting your bike in early for scheduled maintenance. I have bought several bikes from this place. The quality has always been exceptional. They always are patient with you if you have a question or two.

I can't recommend this place enough! The service is fantastic, and their prices are incredibly reasonable. A friend of mine recommended I check them out last summer and they're the only people I go to now. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, willing to explain and train you about what's wrong/what to look for on your bike, and MUCH more approachable than some other stores I've been to(The Bike Line in BRipp...).

Charlie took care of my bike. The breaks were wearing down and he replaced, realigned and got my bicycle in perfect order. It actually rides BETTER than it did when I first got it from the store. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Only downside is that it took a week and a half for repairs, when I was told that it would take a week. That just goes to show they are in demand due to the great work they do.

The great folks at bicycle hospital are so very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I ride a vintage Raligh Tourister DL 1 and my husband a 1950s Schwinn. They often have vintage bicycles for sale. No one else in the city are helpful with our vintage bikes. They also sell and service brand new bicycles and carry a full line of accessories. This is a family owned and opperated small business.

Great service. Took my bike in for what I thought would have been hundreds of dollars of service and they did it for less than $100. They could have charged me more and I wouldn't have been any wiser. My bike was meticulously cleaned and in pristine condition after as well. They also showed my girlfriend many bikes for her to try out with no pressure in buying them. Highly recommend.

I had been told by another shop that my vintage 1964 Schwinn Traveler could not be fixed. There was tight steering problem. The Bicycle Hospital fixed my bike which I have owned since 1964. I was thrilled. They are courteous and know their business. I would highly recommend them. I live in Carmel and it was well worth the drive. I cannot rate them anything but EXELLENT!

I brought in 2 old bikes for refurbishment. One of them was 36 years old, the other one about 25. One of them I thought was a basket case. They were able to fix up both bikes as good as new. It cost $310 to fix up both bikes, but these were not cheap bikes, and it would have cost me significantly more than that to replace either one of them.

Incredibly nice people who absolutely know what they are doing. In my youth I worked in a bike shop. I have always ridden bikes. My bike library has over 40 volumes the first on bicycle repair being published in 1936. I am a discerning and demanding customer. The bike hospital can take care of any problem you will have with a bicycle.

Very good shop. Answered all my questions and were very informative about repairs needed. They did forget to call me with an estimate before starting work, but I knew roughly what it would cost and what I needed done was necessary for me to ride. Overall still a very positive experience. I will definitely be back.

Took in my old and beat up bike for some repairs and a tune up. Best price in town, outstanding service. They replaced my tires and brake pads for the same price as just the tire cost at other shops and target. Friendly staff and quick service. Only complaint is the lack of a website, but completely worth it!

Good customer service, replaced my electric scooter tire with a day. Initially they thought the tire I brought would have been too big but offered to replace it with a different tire for no extra charge. Even advised where i could take my scooter for electric components. Would go again

Fantastic ‘mom and pop’ repair shop with excellent customer service. Took my road bike in for a tune up recently. They only did what needed to be done and charged me less than what they originally quoted. Bike runs smoothly now. Honest, knowledgeable, and affordable!

Talk about customer service! I bought a used bike two weeks ago. The fit wasn’t perfect once I got home and started riding it. I was able to come back and replace it for a brand new one and the customer service was phenomenal. I highly recommend doing business here!

Excellent service! My tune up cost less than the quoted estimate, and when asked, one of the staff helped me ensure that I was installing my bike rack to my car correctly and safely. This was my first time here, so they'll definitely have a return customer.

It's near the end of maybe the busiest period in bike repair history. All the shops are slammed. I took my bike in yesterday for a gear shifting issue and will pick it up tomorrow. Wow. They are very busy, but very understanding and responsive.
