Had to pick up a parcel that I'd had delivered to my partner's house, but missed. Walked in just after 9AM, the place was absolutely empty, and as soon as I walked in both staff members glared at me as if I was trying to rob the place. I presented my "pick up at post office" card and my ID and said I was here to pick up my parcel, the man who was serving me snatched them out of my hand and just stormed into the storeroom. He shouted something in some language I didn't understand to the lady at the other counter, came back and made a point of visibly putting the parcel out of reach of me. He shouted something to her again, then said "write down delivery address" as he shoved a pen and paper in front of me. As I picked up the pen, he shouted "DELIVERY ADDRESS, DELIVERY ADDRESS" at me, and as I was writing the last digit of 3109, he snatched the paper away from me and said "okay okay enough" before turning around, picking up the parcel and unceremoniously dropping it on the counter in front of me. Thanks, not like there was an $1800 phone in there or anything. To make matters worse? As I was trying to put the parcel in my backpack, he shouted something to the other employee and then pretty much shooed me out of the store ("okay, okay, thank you, thank you, okay thank you, thank you, okay"). Rack off mate. I've had to pick up a few parcels from this joint and honestly, it's been horrible every time. I never thought I'd be leaving a negative review for a post office of all things but, well, here I am. Originally posted in 2019

Unfortunately this is my local post office, if I order online my parcels have to go here. I only move this suburb for a year, had more than several occasions bad experiences, not to mention every time the unpleasant rudeness, especially the middle aged asian man. He is unkind to children, be careful. He creats drama saying I have collected my parcel when I didn’t. My husband over heard he said same thing to another lady once too! What a weirdo. They asked both our drivers license when my husband help me collect with my drivers license. when my husband brought both our drivers license, they asked my written authorization! It is so unprofessional didn’t ask at once when my husband came first time. Had to visit serval times if you need someone collect for you. This branch should change management, the bad views of this branch have been many years without any quality improvement. Until I deal with this branch I realize Australia post they don’t care about the service quality, as they are monopoly, most of the business use Australia post and you can’t choose which branch are your parcels going. I recommend business don’t use Australia post. I had good experience using news agency collections during this year. They are more friendly, efficient, and has longer trading hours.

Rude, humiliating, ILLEGAL, and discriminatory. I was told by Helen that my assistance animal (wearing his vest/uniform and behaving perfectly and out of the way where possible) was not welcome during busy periods because it was too scary for the staff and customers to see a dog. I require this dog as an aid to my medical condition, in the same way that others might use a wheelchair or cane. I was completely humiliated in front of the staff and customers. VERY poor English. Very abrupt and rude demeanor by most (if not all) staff there. I was then lied to by Beth in order to get me to spend more money (she told me that the standard shipping option couldn't be tracked and I had to pay for express, but I later found out online that the standard option CAN be tracked for no extra fee). I paid close to $50 to ship a scarf (<500g) to the UK, when all I needed to pay was about $25. I even asked Beth if she was sure that there was no cheaper way. She told me that there wasnt without even checking, and it turns out she was giving me the wrong information. I will be reporting this branch to the appropriate personel in hopes that staffing and management is reconsidered.

Strongly recommend NOT to go there. I used to go there because it is in walking distance to my house. Several times faced different issues there, just because of their poor customer service and lack of professionalism. In one occasion they reject certified passport photos, been taken at Office Works, when later it is accepted at another post office without any complaint. Another time they waste my prepaid return label taking an hour of my time on the phone talking with Australia Post Call Centre operator to arrange refund, just because instead of printing out and then lodging it, the shop attendant did vise a versa. The funny part at that occasion was even when the operator explain her how to do the job, she was unable to understand! But the most important reason not to go there is because at least three of them don't know magic words, which every pre-primary kids learn at school. Some day they need to learn good manner and new words such as; please, thank you, sorry and etc.

I was annoyed when my packages went here instead of the post office closer to my house, and worried when I read the reviews here. My actual experience was fantastic and I’m really surprised at the difference to what is described here! The man who served me is, I think, the same one describe in other reviews, as he asked me to write down my address on a scrap of paper (as an aside, to the person who said he told you to stop as you were writing the postcode - it was probably to save you the hassle as one place you can be sure they know the local postcode is the post office!). He then absolutely went above and beyond in locating my packages, being very friendly the whole time. Yes, they were busy so there was a lot of queuing and crowd control - that’s what happens at a post office. But I thought they did it in a really efficient way while still treating every customer with a lot of individual care. I hope my mail gets mistakenly sent here again!

If I could I would not give any star at all. Bad service. My mail was handed in 5 business days ago over the counter, it still sits on their counter, I could not track it on the website so I had to go in the store and ask. Not one word of apologise or anything. My parcels was delayed big time and it affected my business and work schedules, they are also very dodgy, I purchased an registered envelope but they would not give me a receipt, once I lodge the parcel, they also did not stamp on my receipt. So by auspost conditions "You must retain a postmarked copy of this lodgement receipt and tax invoice in order to claim in the event of total loss or damage" Which what they are doing is totally avoiding any chance of claims. They are willing to do nothing to compensate or resolve any matter. Very disgust AUSPOST please look into this and refine your management or else you are losing hearts of Australians.

Worst service! I took my 6 years old daughter to take a passport photo there today. Finally it’s our turn after 40 mins waiting, but the staff asked me to wait aside because the camera was not available. After another 10 mins, the staff came to take a photo for my daughter. She said there was a rubber band on her head, which is not allowed. So I had to change her hairstyle into ponytail, I only took no more than 1 min to do this. But the staff was very impatient and said “I cannot wait you”. Actually this was the only words she spoke. She didn’t even say” ready, 1,2,3,”. She only stood there and pressed the button. No one knows when it started. The staff looked very angrily through the whole process without any communication, which made my daughter nervous. The photos were really bad. The staff didn’t let us to have look at the photos before printed out and paid.

This post office makes you question if we really live in "advanced Australia fair!" We should report these people to the Au Post & get some decent ownership & staff that are friendly, willing to work, help & not rip offs. 4.50pm & i went to send something express. The one chinese lady rudelt points to the other shouting rudely "go to her!" unwilling to assist, like i woke her up or sth!! The other says in attitude again "you can come send tommorow morning same thing!!" They ended up overcharging me about $14 (instead of envelipe that it was, they charged parcel up to $500g), out of spite & to profit more bevause dare i come 10 mins before closing time!!! Yet on the closing time, it clearly states 5pm! Next time we should book appointments! What a little terror gang!! If we all report them, we will hopefully get some decent people we look forward to seing!

The reason i am writing this review is privacy of customer. I sent a parcel to Overseas. It was a stethoscope for my Friend. I bought a gift card from shop and wrote it in there. Then I packed box again infront of staff. And placed card in box. And given it to staff. They said we gona put it in envelope to send it and all good. But when my things reached and my friend opened infront of me on video call,and card wasn’t even in box of stethoscope. If they wanted to check what is inside i could have showed them by my self. Even the things had to pass airport security. I am gona take this screenshot and put it to Australia post Twitter and Facebook. So they can make sure privacy of customers matter. I am angry because they hurt my privacy. Very very disrespectful act. Auspost should not suppose to do that.

Just wanted money. I went there for my passport photo. I tried to show them my country’s passport rules. They kept on rudely saying no need and we have taken lots of passport photos for your country. Specially, the Chinese mid age man with earrings. They took a decent picture. After they took the picture, I asked them could you pls include the my shoulder when printing. They rudely said no. I tried to explain that if we don’t include the shoulders, my country will not accept it. This time the Chinese man with earrings got mad and shouted “no” and then said something in Chinese to another woman working there. The guy left and the woman came and talked to us. At the end, she printed my photo without my shoulders. It just was a waste of money. I had to go take a good photo somewhere else

Extremely Unprofessional stuff, I had a return parcel with a tracking number that I've got from Ebay, when I showed the tracking number to the lady who works there, she had no Idea what she has to do and told me you need a barcode or label, I have tried to explain her about it and showed her the results of searching the track number in Aus post site that proofs the purchasing a return label, but she refused it and she even didn't try to check the number in system, I took the parcel and track number to another post office the guy who works there simply got the tracking number and entered it to their system and printed out the label and packed my parcel for sending it out, see how professional people do your job and how unprofessional people disappoint you....

This is the post office from hell. I very unfortunately chose to rent a PO Box here (with email notifications as I am frequently out of town). In recent months two parcels have arrived there for me, on 20 August and 12 October. I was not notified of the first and did not collect the notification slip in my box until mid September. It was too late. I don't know what is was, who it was from or how important it was! The second one I was notified on 31 October. I called to follow up but their number doesn't work. They appear to have no email address. If I go in I am unable to understand them (language barrier). They randomly don't notify me of received letters also. Do not lease a box here unless you enjoy experiencing pure frustration and frequent disasters.

Aweful customer service, cannot find any worse. I had a rigistered letter logged at that shop 28/03/2017, on 03/04/2017 the letter was shown as in Transition in Doncaster East. So I went to the shop and just wanted to enquriy about it with my tracking number. Then started the aweful journey. After I gave the owner my tracking number, no explaination was given, he could only keep repeating one phrase 'call this number 13post customer service'. The owner could barely speak any English and just kept saying 'call this number' without any slight patience. Meanwhile the other lady working there (probably his relative) kept yelling at me saying the same thing. Hopefully Auspost could shut down this Franchaise and get another onwer to operate.

Already posted a review a while ago about how awful the staff are here, but it got deleted for some odd reason (hmmm, I wonder why...), so I'll post it again - worst customer service I've ever seen, they treat you like you're a piece of crap. It isn't hard to see that they pay no mind to reviews or warnings either - I know of at least 2 others who have complained to Australia Post regarding the owners of this store, and yet it still seems as though nothing has been done. Shame on the owners and staff that work here, you're all a disgrace. I could continue, but I won't bother any more. Just despicable service in every possible way.

Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to write reviews but I have never felt so discriminated and humiliated in my entire life. I came in with a positive attitude and could tell the staff were having a rough day so I was trying to be really patient and understanding. I was asking a simple question “i haven’t seen these postage slips before? Where do I write the address?” Completely ignored my question and said “do you even have money to pay for this?” PARDON like how rude and continued to ignore my questions and kept refusing me service until I PROVED I had money. Don’t go here go the extra mile and goto a different post office

Absolutely horrible service, promised will do something but not delivering anything. Causing extra time wasted to go to the post office to sort out their stuff up. Wanting an item to be returned back to the sender but ended up sending back to me. Frustrating enough to "collect" my parcel then the staff absolutely guaranteed and said "leave it with me, I will sort it out" which of course he didn't and I have to attend the post office again to stare at the guy and tell him to process the return in front of me, he offered no apologies to his f*ucked up and still insisting me to pay the return postage.

Staff are extremely rude. First experience was when I was trying to ask about some mail still being sent to us by former residents from 10+ years ago and they just said "nothing we can do" and gave me the "talk to the hand" treatment afterwards when I wanted to discuss any options. Today my wife trying to collect an item from the post office and after can't finding it for about 5-10 mins they eventually found it before telling my wife off that she didn't specify "parcel post". I'll go to the Australia Post Pines instead where they're a lot more friendly and helpful.

My 18 years daughter went there today at 2:40pm to apply for Working with Children to do a volunteer teaching job. The white man at 60s at the counter, was very rude and yelling at her for no reason and as soon as saw her passport was even worse and behaved completely like a RACIST!!! We have been once before for taking photos and the other employee was again very rude and inconsiderate. She took very bad photos and did not accept to repeat any of them. I will follow up this case to central post management office and higher authorities to give them a good lesson.

Unprofessional, bad manners and rude service from CYNTHIA, lady with white uniform and long hair. She was extremely rude from the moment it was my turn, even if it was busy, this was no way to treat a paying customer especially when I was not rude to her. Shouting and raising your voice is not how you talk to others, she should learn some basic manners. Left the place disgusted and in shock, would not be coming here anymore. I sincerely hope management does something about this as based on the other reviews, this issue has been ongoing for a long time.

Auspost redirected my Amazon parcels to this post office without ask me ,I understand drivers' job are very busy due to the current pandemic. But the Chinese staff works in the office blame me use his address, seriously this is Auspost parcel, and I did not use you address. Why don't you ask Auspost stop sending parcels to your post office? If you post office can't let customers collect their parcels, why don't you just close the door? Extremely rude staff, it certainly was not the first time happened to me in this post office! Negative *****!!!!

I used to like coming here as they would take the effort to explain which postal service to use for my items. It used to be my favourite post office to go to. I was flabbergasted recently when I was sending an item by registered mail and when I queried further about it, the staff just rudely replied, “It’s not my problem!” So much for being in the service industry. Strangely enough it’s still the same staff there when it used to be my favourite post office and now when it has lacklustre service and attitudes. Hope that they can improve again.

I went there to ship a parcel by courier, I didn't know that they don't have courier available at this post office but they were kind to me anyway and tried to help me. I also witnessed a lovely interaction with an older lady who came in for help and staff were very patient and friendly with her as well. I was nervous about going here after seeing all the reviews but now I'm thinking it may misunderstanding between cultures as the staff are not native English speakers.

Absolutely horrendous service. Wouldn’t listen to why I was in. I kept explaining that I’m getting a parcel delivered to the post office and not to my house. And when I tried to explain that. They kept asking for the street address. But they didn’t want to listen to the facts!!! And then they were absolutely rude when I tried to explain that the person is not listening I got told that I have to wait for the person to come back. If I could give 0 stars I would.

It’s really unfortunate that you walk into an Aus Post with an open mind and you get disappointed every single time, with nothing but really bad customer service, and unwillingness to help. I feel that they’re not rude, it’s their nature of life, but then, their way of life is quite rude in any standard. I do believe that Aus Post should really send a few agents to experience this themselves. Really annoyed that this place happened to be my local Aus Post.

Before I go there I thought this branch might get a negative review attack or something. Until today I went there to pick up my parcel I realised the bad reviews are all valid. The owner was rude, impatient and unprofessional. Even though I told them my parcel is a small envelope they were still searching for a big parcel, which wasted my time. I sincerely hope the owner to consider taking another business that doesn’t require customer service skills.

I don't know why there are so many sub-par bad reviews. Every time I go there service is fine. There may just be some waiting time or slight delays at peak hour but it is expected. In terms of customer service, I'd say that I'm more than adequately happy with how I am being served. And it's not because I'm Asian, that I'm writing a decent review over the bad ones. Just 5 words to describe this AusPost branch. It is what it is. *thumbs up* for service!

I left a review about a year ago and I don't understand all the negative reviews. I believe the staff are wonderful! Maybe we need to look at the people leaving these reviews. I have witnessed many rude customers while in line. If respect is given respect will be recieved....... Best Post Office I have ever used. What a breath of fresh air! After ordinary service at nearby post offices, I decided to try this one and was greeted by the most professional post office worker I have ever encountered. Dressed in a smart vest and white shirt, he gave exemplary service and seemed to actually enjoy serving the public. I had stuffed my passport application, but he patiently and quickly sorted it out, and with good humour. I will definitely be back!

Worst post office i ever had to deal with. The staff are constantly rude and very condescending, especially towards people who speak worse English than them (bear in mind English is clearly their second language) and the elderly or anyone who has a question. The lady today literally said to my face when she couldn't find my parcel "your parcel is not my responsibility". They really need some training for customer service.

Rude and unhelpful service in an already stressful time. I had written permission from my partner to pick up a package for them, as requested by Australia Post in such circumstances. He is an essential worker, working during post office opening hours and I was denied. Told that he, himself, must come collect the package, even though we filled out a collection authorisation form.

Despite the negative reviews, my experience was very positive. The gentleman that served me, and all other staff I observed during my wait in line were polite, patient and helpful, even to a few entitled customers who decided they were above policy and wanted to collect packages without appropriate ID. Makes me think how many of these negative reviews are actually legit!

I have been going to this post office for years! They are quick and friendly and follow the process. I saw the negative reviews and in my opinion the staff are just following the compliance set out by aus post, you wouldn't want parcels given to the wrong person. I prefer this post office over any others in the area.

Worst postal service to exist. Phone does not work and cut off on purpose, causing all of our deliveries to be retuend to sender after waiting for ages. No re-delivery attempt or attempt to contact us. After reading all the terrible reviews here, can Auspost please do something?? Otherwise PLEASE SHUT DOWN, disgrace.

Worst service. Yesterday I was refused to collect my parcel although I gave them my Medicare and Bank card, that's the requirements from Austpost website when we don't bring photo id. So unbelievable!! It is only hair colour kit inside, what if someone order a prescription medicine and refused to collect...

Went to this local P.O. to inquire about passport renewal and they advice me what to do online . Went back the next day with my application form . The service was great. The lady knew exactly what to do. Took the photo , filled up what was needed . I paid and signed the forms and all went very efficiently.

Organised, clear communications and friendly despite how ridiculously busy it was at 30minutes to closing. I feel this deserves 5 stars as they’ve been nothing but positive and efficient at the end of their work day. I surely wouldn’t have cope with that if it were me. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. My experience for was positive and the staffs are quite nice there. They can speak both English and mandarin. Perfect for someone with mandarin speaking background. A very small LPO though so there may be a bit of a wait during peak hour.

Asked the lady if I can post a canvas . She said it's too big, I said you havent even measured ! she got a measure tape and wrapped around the canvas and said it's too big. Got my canvas to Donvale PO and they measured the height and width and said it's all good and posted for me.

Very ill mannered staff especially the ladies, they are very rude and almost threaten customers when they come for passport verification. Disciplinary action is a must here.
