A great visit as usual. Probably the best bread in town. The seed bread is a personal favourite. Great service and the atmosphere of a bustling bakery. Don't just stop for bread the treats on offer are also great. We usually end up leaving with at least a coconut oatmeal cookie and a chocolate chip brioche muffin. More

The bread here is absolutely divine! The staff are also incredibly friendly. So far I've tried their seed bread, rye sourdough, chocolate brioche and decadent bun and everything has been delicious, with the seed bread and brioche being my favourites so far. The bread isn't cheap but you really get what you pay for!

Highly recommend this bakery. Everything is consistently delicious, and you can taste the high-quality ingredients. Our favorites are the Spelt Sourdough Multigrain bread, Brioche Burger buns, and Mini Seed buns. Customer service is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Never had sourdough that tastes quite like this elsewhere in the city - the miche is always flavourful with a great crumb. Any of the seeded breads are delicious toasted - there was a sesame one that I particularly liked. And those spicy cocoa buns...mmm!

Probably my favourite bread in the city. I haven't tried all the loaves yet but I'm working my way through them. I find this is the closest you can get to "European" style bread with a thick delicious crust. They have a lot of selection so

I first discovered their bread from another retailer when I was looking for a low fodmaps bread option and I’ve been hooked on the spelt sourdough ever since. I picked it up fresh the other day with a morning treat. It’s pricy, so I can’t

  • Carter Rombouts

i got the rustic white sourdough here, it is amazing; nice open crumb, crust is crispy, and most importantly, flavour is spot on. the oat and coconut cookie is a great option too if you like thin and chewy cookies. staff couldn't be nicer.

An Ottawa stand-out in terms of bread making. Finally had the opportunity to visit in-person today (slightly awkward hours if you don't live nearby), but it won't be the last time! Superb quality, consistent, and reminiscent of Parisian

Well the name says it all its a true loaf not a false loaf. When I eat this bread it takes me back centuries when people probably grew their own wheat and ground it to make bread. People here have a passion for their work it's not just

Some of the best bread in town, great staff, terrible hours. 9-5 makes it way too difficult to get there on time...I've been turned back at the door enough times to not bother. Delivery service to local areas would solve this problem.

The only bakery I go to! The bread is always fresh and delicious, and you can’t beat the incredibly kind service from the wonderful staff. Everything I’ve tried from this establishment has been great. Thanks True Loaf!

Love this place! I keep forgetting to leave a review but I ordered bread many times during the pandemic and was always pleased with the taste and freshness, as well as the customer service. Would definitely recommend!

Incredible quality sourdough bread, if you can get it. Their hours are limited, so I called multiple times before going (over an hour before close), but they do not answer. I biked all the way there to be told that

Hands down the best bread! Their baguette is the best I’ve ever had & their sourdough & brioches are also excellent. Whenever I pass through Ottawa now I have to go out of my way to get fresh bread to bring home!

Some of the best bread and friendliest bakers in Ottawa. I tried the tomato fugasse a few years ago and it was incredible. Their loafs are all exceptional. Their brioche is wonderfully flaky, buttery, and moist.

We have been buying bread from true loaf for as long as they have been in business. One of the top and most authentic bakeries in the city. I truly enjoy their sourdoughs and baguettes.

Okay, another nice find in Ottawa. I love when I leave the ByWard market area and find these gems. I got the rustic sourdough rustic white bread and hot cross buns. Loved them both.

  • Michelle Lee

Quite nice bakery shop. I got a ciabatta, chocolate broiche, and a coconut oat cookie. My favorite was the cookie, I would suggest people to try it out.

  • Jake Naylor

Bought the cocoa + chili and olive + rosemary buns this morning for a work potluck. WOW. Both were unique, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommended! More

Best sour-dough in ottawa by a mile, and I’ve tried them all. The crust is perfect and flavour is spot on. Would recommend anyone to buy from here!

Great bread, kind and welcoming staff, very reasonable pricing, usually available parking. My only non-complaint is they don't do croissants :'(

  • Mishelle Menzies

This is the best bread bakery in Ottawa. Great value, organic and high quality ingredients. Delicious. If I could give it another star I would.

  • Jimmy Fragos

While visiting Ottawa this past week, we stumbled on this bread store. They make amazing sourdough bread. The olive sourdough was great. More

  • Sam Lo

By far the best bread shop in Ottawa. Amazing freshly baked bread, their cinnamon brioche is incredible and their prices are very reasonable.

  • Mama Mia Quesadillaa

Amazing sourdoughs and other types of creative breads. This bakery changes it up with a variety of flavours, in addition to the breads

My favourite Ottawa bakery! The olive and rosemary bread is dangerously good - I have to stop myself from eating it all in one day.

  • Shannon Joseph

The cinnamon brioche and chocolate brioche were so fresh, fluffy, and delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness.

  • Hal Le

Nice place. You get a good feel for the ambience immediately upon entering. Check the times they are open!!!

It is my favorite spot. I like bread that is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
