this rating for toys r us is really specific to this store location in particular. We came to the city to get some Christmas shopping done and this was our experience : I understand the holiday season shopping mayhem but this store was ridiculous. The shelves all empty people everywhere like crazy and after searching for twisty petz for over an hour we finally decided to pay what we had and check out, at the cash I asked if they had any in stock and the girl checks tells me there's 25 in stock and that I should be able to find them. I decided ok what the heck I drove 2hours to get here might as well go back. searched again for another 20mins to see that there was clearly non. We ended up driving to another location (marivale) and there it was like night and day. we walked in and the store was immaculate and full of inventory. it was as if no one had thought to stop here. found everything I was looking for in seconds.. and loads of choice. will definitely not be comming back to st-Laurent toys r us ever again.

Toys R Us has an amazing staff who go above and beyond to help you. This is definitely the best aspect of the store. Mostly I buy Nintendo Switch accessories, pop figures and pokemon cards so will be basing the following on the trends I have seen in that. As far as pricing, most items are competitive with other retailers but occasionally they get it drastically wrong ie. Pokemon TCG Meowth VMAX box for 49.99 when most other retailers have it at less than $29.99. While their price points are not spectacular, they do have pretty good sales. When items go on sale it does often put them below the value that other retailers are selling them for. In terms of stock (relating to my above items) I find that Toys R Us maintains a decent selection of product and is usually able to get newly released items stocked on shelves for the day after release. Overall, this store usually has what I come into buy, but due to their price points I usually look at the flyer and plan my trip in advance.

My little niece loves slime! I wanted to gift her with unique slime package that would keep her entertained for hours. Saw a few options online but after looking around for 10 minutes could not find anything. Young woman working that evening went above and beyond to find them for me. She could not find them initially and kept looking for almost 10 minutes. She didn’t give up and kept looking until she found them and directed me into the right section.This was really impressive as I felt overwhelmed by the size of the store and didn’t know where to look without her help. Purchased the best slime kit and seperate individual slime for my niece who loved them! . The only reason why I removed a star is because I do find the items in this store very pricey compared to other stores . I paid almost $50 just for small Knick knacks but I do think it was worth it seeing how happy my niece was!

A warning about TRU. When they announce the buy 1 get 50% off on liquidation items, they TRY and screw you 100 % of the time. The way their system works is that they give the 50% discount on the cheapest items in your cart. Example, you buy 2 x $100 items, 2 x $20 items and 2 x $5 items. The total bill should be $187.5 plus tax (100+50+20+10+5+2.5). What actually do is charge you full price for the 3 most expensive items and 50% off the 3 cheapest ones bringing the bill to $240 ($100+$100+$20+10+2.5+2.5). The discounts are calculated automatically at the register and the employees know the system is bugged but will play stupid every time. The only way to override it is to create separate invoices for every 2 identically priced items. Please spread the word of this scam.

Very very bad customer service from both the crews and managers and even the customer service, I never saw a bad customer service like them since I’ve been in Canada. We purchased sleepwears for our baby but after trying them we found a very bad quality with fabric pieces everywhere. They did not accept to return them after 7 days because they said they are used and we can’t return them, My wife tried to call the customer service and spoke with a supervisor she said we don’t return used clothes and if you have a problem with the quality you have to contact the manufacturer !!!. We ended up throwing all the items in the garbage. Please don’t waste your money with Toys r us, shop somewhere else where you find a good customer service.

Terrible customer service at this location! Picking up a preordered gift today for a family member who lives an hour out of the city, photo ID required to pick up the item from the person who ordered it even though there is a note on the order that we would be picking it up for them. Person who ordered the item was at work and we were stuck waiting in the city for them to send a copy of their ID. Terrible policy in general (should have been made clear when ordering the item) as well as rude and terrible delivery of the policy from the customer service staff. We will never return to or recommend anyone purchasing from this location

I cannot thank enough the manager of the store Peter who went above and beyond for me. I live out of town and because of unforeseen circumstances I needed to purchase gifts and have them ready for pick up by a family member as soon as possible. Peter made that happen.. checking store stock, processing the payment with me, having the gifts wrapped and ready for pick up and loaded into the car within a matter of hours. Through it all he was professional, kind and unbelievably patient.. Thank you so much Peter.. you are a credit to your company!

I want to give them zero star if I can !!! Thier crew, managers, and customer service are so rude !!!! They sell the worst clothes for babies , it has a very bad quality and dangerous for babies, because I found some fibre from the cloths inside my son’s mouth !!. When I explain that to thier customer service, they refused to return them !! I asked her if they are ok to sell bad quality clothes but they can not return them She said yes!!!! Dont waste your money and time with them !!

They did NOT want to price match 4 items even though we had the price match proof.... Assistant manager Mitchell and who ever Tammy is REFUSED to match the price so we had to pay more expensive! Assistant Manager Mitchell was rolling his eyes and giving attitude, what a HORRIBLE manager !! NEVER RETURNING TO THIS PATHETIC PLACE AGAIN! VERY VERY UPSET with the rude staff

It's a sad state of affairs that when I take my nephew out to buy toys we both prefer the selection at Gamestop to Toys R Us. The company must be using these stores to ship out their online sales because they stores themselves look terrible, have the products don't have prices and the staff are as happy as a customs officer at the airport.

Update May 2022: new Star Wars light saber FX!! The store manager Matt and staff here are so friendly and they really go out of their way to make your shopping experience the best it can be. They have it all like toys, video games, bikes, Lego, books, Nerf, LOL etc etc.. Disregard any review here under 5 stars.

One of the workers was very rude when I picked something up to look at it and two followed us around the store. I know that theft is high right now because we're getting into the holiday season, but that doesn't mean you should profile us and treat us like criminals until you've actually seen us do something wrong.

Was in recently and picked up a floor model of a piece of furniture. It had to be dissesemble, and Ashley (floor staff) was amazing in offering to stay past her shift and do it for me scince I was not allowed due to liability reason. She took her time and was very helpful. Would shop there again.

The Electronic section staff are always nice and generally able to help you for what ever you need, generally store looks nice and clean, the baby section well set up a guy like me having no child or experience in this section can easily find ideas for baby shower gifts and such

They have loads of kids toys and anything kids would want really. Their video game section is also really well equipped. They have all the new games for every console. I generally go there for Pokemon Cards myself, the service is always great when I go there.

I've bought a number of items here for my children. I only ever buy items here when they go on sale, and have never had any issues. Most recent purchase (on sale) was a number of gates for the stairs. They had a good selection.

Workers have such a "I just work here" attitude. Not helpful at all, they'd rather not do their job clearly. Anytime I ask for help I feel like I'm a burden. I'll take my business to other toys r us, this location is a joke.
