1. They deliberately make things up to come up with an excuse to charge you. Such as "you almost collided with a bus" and when you say the bus was 10 feet away, they say "ok". Ironically the officer was 8 feet away and in front of the same bus. And the driver, -- me -- was 2 feet away from the officer when stopped. Thus said, officer would have been dead for a person who was turning left. And they tell you knocking on your window and picking up garbage off the street and moving a cone after you have passed them is asking you to pull over. And then they say, "I have to charge you." 2. They refuse to listen when you go to explain the situation, "Don't talk, I don't want to hear it." They then bully, intimidate and harass you and threaten you. And when have finally had enough, because you know you are innocent and are being illegally evicted, and say, "Why wait to hurt me, why not do it now." The officer will be overly excited, and shove a tiny woman as hard as possible on the ground, so your head smashes (back) on the floor. And when your legs flail, he will yell, "assault of an officer" so his partner will come and drag you out. When you try to grab his leg pant with your teeth to stop him, they will say you are trying to bite him. Then they will drag you down the hall where they think no one can see and smash your face into the floor slam their knee on your ankle, and when you scream in pain, you will be told. "Good, you deserve it and if you don't shut up you are going to get more, my partner will come over and give you more." And he will then slam his knee and body into you to hurt you even more and smash your face to the floor again. They will know you have a disability with a service dog and will refuse to give you your service dog. They will ensure that you are handcuffed and sitting in the police car. They will then say, "How are we going to get her even more, let's talk about how we can hurt her more." And then, they will look at you and tell you that your service dog will go to a shelter. They will refuse to tell you where your glasses are. And then they will look at you and say, "You had better apologize to us." And if you say no, they will say, "If you don't apologize to us we are going to make it worse and we can take you and hurt you even more, so you had better apologize." And then when you apologize they will talk about you as if you are dirt and more about how they will hurt you and harm you. They will taunt you with your service dog and tell you that they will make sure she is put in a shelter and you will never ever see her again. When their sergeant comes and you go to tell him what happens, he will say, "Why would my officers lie to me". And as everyone is walking away. The black officer will look at his partner and say, "You cameras never worked." And when the white officer looks confused and says "What?" the black officer will say, "NONE of your cameras have worked, right?" And then with a knowing look the white officer will say, "Oh, yeah right" And the sargeant will just ignore everything you say and will even call you by a different name when it is done. So.... this detachment refuses to deal with sexual assaults and tells you that it is your fault. They refuse to deal with people trying to stab people and say the judge will throw it out so there is no point. BUT, they will attack, harass, demean, belittle and lie to and about the disabled. They, from my belief, are not lacking in man power, they just have such a hate for the disabled and vulnerable that they spend all of their time telling lies about them and attacking them instead of dealing with the real criminals. And yes, they can deny this, but it is only slander if it is not true and their are witnesses and the bruises to show the police brutality. And when you call the superintendents office, yep, you guessed it, your are ignored. So the world will know how we, the disabled, are treated by the Toronto Police force. This is just the beginning and they cannot stop me or the disabled from speaking the truth! Thank you

Totally incompetent. I have been reporting to them for 20 years of the abduction and murder of a girl from Regent Park. She was picked up on Parliament St in 1972 and was killed near Lake Simcoe. Her body is still there. To my shock and horror I just found out that not one report was made. Not one search threw their records of missing people. I was further informed that they would not be making a report nor look threw their records nor help with recovering her remains. I reminded this Sargent that they have another abducted and murdered girl from Regent Park. That of 6 year old Lizzy Tomlinson murdered in 1980. Case still unsolved. I reminded him that the police at the time stated that the suspect has brown hair, a beard, blue eyes, possibly left handed, is about 5"8, 165 lbs to 180 lbs, tanned and well muscled. That the suspect was familiar with the area and was familiar with children. That is the exact description of the man who abducted and murdered the girl in 1972. I further informed this Sargent that this man lived at one time across the road from Stinkeys park where Lizzy was abducted from and that he worked just blocks from where her body was found. I also informed him that this man was stopped and questioned by the police at the time due to his likeness to their suspect. This Sargent could not explain why after 20 years not a report was made. They still refuse to even make a report or help in any way.I can understand how that case and others have gone unsolved. In the 20 years I have been trying to reporting this girls abduction and murder in 1972 her family could have been trying to find out if there was any information about her. At the same time as I am trying to tell them where her body is. But no report and no investigation. This is inexcusable. I would like to reach out to her family directly. I do not know her name. She was between 14 and 17 years old. She had brown wavy hair and brown eyes. She lived in Regent Park just off Parliament St. I will guess that this family got screwed around trying to report her missing just as I have been screwed around trying to report her murder.

I am a young girl travelling alone from the UK. Arrived to Toronto and my bag was stolen. I reported it immediately on Thursday last week and since then, I have not even been contacted once to check in to see if I am okay at the very least, let alone with any updates. I was going in daily but then gave up as it looked like the case has not even been assigned or picked up by a working or available detective. I went above and beyond to do some investigation myself - getting hold of exact times of the person who stole my bag on CCTV along with other locations the same person was seen and his pictures - there has not even one attempt made by the police to obtain the CCTV footage themselves. Safe to say, I shall never feel safe or be returning to Canada ever again. You have left me unarmed and feeling completely unsupported.

Police cruiser #5117 , October 3rd 2023 , 8:29pm . On Front/Berkeley street near the Starbucks made an U turn without signal onto oncoming traffic.Upon honking the person driving the cruiser , driver tried to give me lecture on why I honked and if I wanted to give him a ticket in a sarcastic way . Anyone would’ve had the same reaction and it doesn’t say anywhere that I shouldn’t honk at a police cruiser and also honking doesn’t mean that I’m being offensive, honking can also be used to get someones attention incase they weren’t paying attention to what’s happening on the road. I was just making them aware that there’s a vehicle coming guess the person driving the vehicle didn’t like that a citizen pointed out a police officer’s mistake. Will definitely file a complaint.

Terrible police officers, instead of maintaining peace, he rather escalate the situation, continuously yells and attacks people but then tells them to calm down. Blatantly lies about laws which he claims he knows, but when real laws are brought up and shown, changes his story since he is clueless to begin with but wants to maintain authority. When we claim we've been recording, changes his story again about what we did wrong. A bad look for the City of Toronto, Professional opinion - Officer #11103 definitely has anger management issues and should consult therapy before something extreme happens down the road. A peace officer should be trying to maintain peace but in this situation, he rather escalate the situation and yell at citizens trying to cooperate.

One star is way too much for this coward division. I called asking where my son was transferred to, the man an the other end would not help me because according to him my son was over 18. Now where is the compassion to help Mothers looking for their black son before you blow him off without his family knowing. You all hide behind that uniforms thinking you are Lord of blacks The officer talk down at me that I was shakingfrom this bad experiencefor days.. They say police officers are there to serve and protect but they don't do that for me that day. You all works for Privileged people simple and facts.

These police officers along with the sergeant are very unprofessional and rude, they treat people like they are above the law, refuses to verbally identify themselves with name and badge number, just a bunch of entitlement, and they believe the police station is their property, not the public which whom was paid with tax paying citizens to build that station which is a public accessible place for any citizens to attend or check up on their employees, after all police officers job is to serve the citizens not harass citizens.

Toronto Police Service is a tight community of men and women who truly serve and protect this beautiful city - my hometown. As a result of the unconditional efforts of 51 Division, my neighbourhood is a great place to live - against the real challenges of having to confront and manage people suffering from mental illness, homelessness, poverty and domestic violence. Thank you for your dedication, your compassion, your courage. Stay safe and know that you are heroes every single day.

  • Eric Godaj

I dont understand why people would complaint about cops and once something happens to them they would blame them right away.Police cannot do their job if we keep criticizing them for the smallest mistake that 99% of the time has been initiated by us. It seems the police cant win no matter do. Let them do what they are supposed to do and behave otherwise, yes they will get you one way or another!

  • Miya Ashina

I keep forgetting I live in Canada People are great here, police officers from this division showed professionalism and politeness. Guards are awesome. Sorry for being a mess. Thank you for your patience! Was a hell stay in cell , concrete beds ugh but hey its the whole point right? I will think 10 times before start a fight next time. ♡

  • Toya Rella

I wish I can give no stars. This division is police officers and 51 divisions they lie very untruthful. The sergeant does not get back to phone calls. They use way too many resources to enter in a different region. This whole division needs to be looked at because 14 of your officers are interested trust worthy, and should be investigated.

  • Anna Nichole

Worst police station ever. I have had problems with my neighbour poisoning me with carbon monoxide and they have not taking me seriously at all. I have done everything they have recommended and more and they have said it's my fault and have been rude like I'm bothering them. To serve and protect eh? Not to them

  • Rabby (Tiger)

they have visitors parking on derby street, it's a BIG station but however do NOT waste your time calling this division, they do NOTHING over the phone. If you have anything you need done, go to the station but call and check if the officer is available first (that's all they do over the phone).

  • shivam mishra

Helpful and amazing officers. Made me comfortable. Saw the reviews before going so didn’t know what to expect. But from the start and to the end the officers listened to me properly even though i have an accent they were patient for the whole time. 0% rudeness or impoliteness. Super helpful.

  • Sakal Star

I had Sr officer stopped me on the corner with his fellow's on the bicycles. They were asking me so many questions that because I am a person of color. I say congrats for Sr officer on bicycle you definitely had BMX back in your childhood.I feel the pressure on the community out there.

  • John Norton

Fell off my bike and went in to get first aid. The officer was friendly and wanted to help. But possessed absolutely no first aid skills at all. A little disappointing. I assumed all Toronto Police would know basic first aid. But I'm greatfull for the assistance rendered.

i prefer to giving 0 star! But 1star is the lowest mark.........

  • Alex Engel

Would rather give tickets to someone having a beer during an economic crisis while many dangerous crimes run rampant. Some shameful thug like police work from officer g gill and his intimidation squad. Just another dangerous gang on our streets

  • Olie Kopetska

Three police officers from this division were charged with sexually assaulting a female officer. One can only hope justice is served and they are incarcerated and end up on the sex offender list for the rest of their miserable lives.

  • William Vaz-Jones

Awesome, diligent service. Lost my wallet and they were very attentive in ensuring it was returned (including cash). They emailed and called and even delivered to my place or residence. Appreciate how they went above and beyond!
