The pure escape... a very nice idea but it's sadly quite a lie. The worst service ever. Never informs clients of necessary paperwork in order to get the massage. Today I walked in expecting to get my one hour massage which was much needed after a few months of hard work. I biked in expecting for something to go wrong as it usually does when It comes around to the paperwork. I came in 15 minutes early to make sure my spot was held but when I walk in this curly haired blond said in a condescending voice with a perky smile that my prescription is up and so are my benifits, when I had called the day before and they had assured me my insurance was just fine and everything was good to go. Well so I thought. Amazing massage therapists but when it comes to the receptionists be sure to have everything written on paper and have a hard copy yourself because for them they're job seems unmanageable, as they are either too stupid or too ignorant to know how to do their job the the fullest of its extent. Due to today's horrendous service "The pure escape" has just lost a customer of at least 7 years. Along with three others which used to be regulars. Such disorganization or maybe it's a lack of communication between the staff but if somebody needs to pay an extra $105 in the end that sort of thing should be brought up as it is part of their job. After calling the manager and him telling me that I was speaking to a human being and asking if I ever thought that for one minute. Yes I am young but I am not dumb so for the staff to treat a customer the way they did was just hilarious. Everyone in their right mind realizes that everyone deserves respect so thank you to the manager whom ever you may be for slowing it down for me but I wasn't about to listen to somebody who doesn't know how to run their business. Im the customer and I do have some valuable tips but you seemed too offended or something to be able to listen as all you could do is scold me on how I was speaking to a "human being". Ridiculous!

I booked my massage two weeks ahead after I read good reviews about that place. First of all, I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment and waited for almost 15 minutes to fill in forms. So I started my massage at 10:30. I indicated to the masseur, Janine, the places I needed her to focus on but she worked on different places and when the session came to an end I asked that was it, she said yes, I asked what about the places I spotted, she said next time. Like really Moreover she finished at 11:15. That was 45 minute massage. When I tried to point that out to the front dest girl who was really irritably repetitive person, she tried to justify it as they cant report a 60 minute session to the insurance. I was really confused plus instead of direct billing to my insurance company she made me pay the full amount reasoning that my company indicated that. That was not true. I always went for massages and it was always 100% covered and they accepted direct billing from all the other places I went to. When I phoned to book I doubled checked on that and I gave them my insurance to make sure everything was ok. It was really uncomfortable experience in that place. I won’t go back again.

I've been going here awhile now and all I can say is that it's okay. Some days are better than others. Some massage therapists are great and I always feel better after. Others, however, don't seem to understand how the body works and didn't help my situation. They say they have 16 massage therapists, but it seems that they are going for quantity over quality. The most annoying things are that they don't have hot stones, a steam room, or mint oil. There have been times when mint oil was available, but it's not consistent. The therapist told me that the boss doesn't want to buy more mint oil all the time even though the customers always ask for it. The funny thing is that mint oil is for sale at the front of the store. So, they have it, but they just don't want to give it to you unless you pay for it yourself. Some massage therapists have even resorted to buying it themselves. Incredible. In conclusion, there are clearly some issues with the manager and the staff and that's why all that can be said about this place is that it's okay.

When I was pregnant in 2021, I was so scared to have a prenatal massage but once I finally got my first prenatal by my massage therapist. I felt so much better after and continued to attend until literally a few days before I had my baby. I felt by going to see my massage therapist Shay it helped my labour to be a bit more comfortable. She just made me feel so much better about going and answered all the questions I had. I have been going to Pure Escape for the past 9+ years and even bring my oldest daughter who is a competitive dancer and with all the training she has she needs these massages to help with the tightness she has in her hips etc. The staff are incredible and super knowledgeable. I would 100% recommend Pure Escape to anyone I know. I was recommended to go there 9+ years ago after falling at work and oh man I’m so happy I did!

I recently got a couples massage with my boyfriend and we had the best experience ever! The receptionists were very friendly and the waiting room was absolutely beautiful. We had got massages from other places before but we were suprisingly impressed by the pure escape services! The massage therapists we got were very friendly and did an amazing job. The environment in the rooms were also very relaxing. They provide you with hot towels during and after your massage, which gave it the perfect touch to our experience. Me and my boyfriend will definitely be going back again! Thank you pure escape!

I went for a prenatal massage this morning and I'm so happy I did -- it was my first time ever going for a prenatal massage and just being able to lay on my stomach on the special table made me so happy. I saw Jon and it was honestly one of the best massages I've ever had. I felt completely safe with their COVID precautions and there was hand sanitizer everywhere to use. The front desk staff were friendly and booking another appointment took about two seconds. I'll definitely keep coming back here. Pregnant mamas, give yourself a treat and get a two-hour massage!

Chelsea Einarson was my massage therapist when I visited Pure Escapes for the first time. To be honest I have had many massages and I would rank this one one of my favourites ever. From the moment I walked in to that beautiful environment on Corydon Avenue I was greeted with very friendly and courteous staff. Chelsea also met me at the door and showed me around and introduce me to some stuff to make me feel very comfortable and at home. Thank you again for being such a professional and providing first class service.

Cool atmosphere, nice waiting area. The women at the front was a little pushy about my type of medical coverage though. I get it, you say it all the time “we don’t direct bill through co-operators” but that doesn’t mean you have to be grouchy about it. Once that part was over I had the massage of my life with mellissa who balances being friendly with giving expert level deep massage therapy. She even helped me with a stretch on my short leg. Well done Mel.

We went while COVID-19 was quite bad, and I was quite anxious in general, but the freshly cleaned surfaces, masked employees, and receptive and kind nature of everyone working there put me at ease! My Masseur, Jon, whose name happened to be spelled the same as mine, was fantastic! He asked great preliminary questions to get a feel for my injuries and stiff areas, and did a fantastic job working out the kinks! Thanks Pure Escape!

I won a Pamper package as part of a raffle prize for Pure Escape. I'm always a tad hesitant when I go in with a gift certificate because I have won prizes before at different places where the staff kind of treated me as a second class citizen because I was essentially a freebie. Not so the case here. I had a tremendous experience (so relaxing I fell asleep during the facial!). I will definitely be going back. Truly top rate!

I have been going to Pure Escape for over 12 years. My massage therapist Shay (on mat leave) and Shawna are fantastic. With the pandemic Rosario has stepped up the protocols. It is clean and I feel safe going there. Even the bathrooms now have touch-less faucets. I Love that they direct bill to my insurance company. The front desk staff make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. I highly recommend The Pure Escape.

She is amazing, and her technique is the perfect balance of relaxation and deep tissue massage. My back and shoulders were just a huge mess of knots for years and I've been to more massage therapists than I can count. I was beyond impressed with the therapy I received. The therapist Tara was absolutely amazing and did in an hour what other therapists have been trying to do for months. I will be back. Again and again. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service excellent.

Amazing atmosphere and best massage therapists - haven't gotten one I wasn't satisfied with to date! Also, this is one of the few places I know of that have the hole in the bed for you soon-to-be-momma's so be sure to get your pre-natal massages here before baby comes!! I love The Pure Escape! I have been going for years. I love the fact that they have so many massage therapists- I usually call last minute and so I get a different therapist every time. I have never had a bad massage! They now have online booking! This has been a game changer! No complaints at all!

The staff were nice and they direct bill to 22 ish insurance companies! Which is the most convenient thing if you don't have the big 3 insurance most spas take. They a large staff as well so you can book pretty quickly. Clarie was really great and educated me in what I needed to work on.

I had my first massage here with Carly and it was worth every penny. The facility is calm, clean and beautiful, and Carly's hands were absolute magic, firm without being unbearable, and hitting all the right spots. My back hasn't felt this good in months. Will definitely be coming back!

I'm not big on 5 stars but this place is amazing. They will fill try to give a last minute appointment if they can. And are focused on helping you the customer. The comfortable beds and soothing rooms make for an amazing experience.. Reminds me it is time to book another massage!

Love the wonderful care I've enjoyed for the last 16 years. My favorite therapist, John, always kind and has helped with sport and repeative use injury as well as relaxation. I can usually get an appointment within a day or two. They will direct bill your insurance if you want.

I've been going to Chelsea and she's really helped with my back. I have a lot of issues with my lower back especially and she's careful about working on it and being mindful of my injured areas. I've had massages elsewhere and I prefer seeing Chelsea easily. Thank you Chelsea!

Book an emergent appointment based on a recommendation of a friend. But they would not allow me to book an appointment without putting a credit card on file. I have never had that request from a massage place. They told me that they couldn’t help me.

My massage was excellent. The staff is very nice and accommodating. However the requirement to have a credit card will limit who can go. And the prices for services are in the higher than average range.
