It has been 3 years since were last here in Sydney and we were so happy to be able to visit these guys once again. We’ve been visiting for so many years and they never disappoint. The lunch special price has gone up a little to $11, however still excellent value, The portions have not changed, (still large) and the food is an explosion of flavour. The chicken laksa is to die for, as are the hot and spicy noodles - we love them with beef. These are just two of our faves - frankly all their dishes are worth a try. Service is fast and friendly and by the time you take your water and glasses back to the table and get settled, the food will be only a few more minutes. Tables are well spaced, hand sanitiser is available, the front window is a bifold window / door and is usually wide open so lots of fresh air flow. Contactless payment is now available (3 years ago it was cash only) - Highly recommend - we visit at least twice a week.

A number of years ago (the last time we went here), we used to think this place did the one of the best pad thais in Sydney. Unfortunately our recent visit was not great. While a couple of dishes were ok/average, the pad thai was overly sweet and quite gloopy. The main reason for our disappointment however, was that the dish selected was supposed to be with mixed vegetables and tofu. I'm sorry, but bean shoots, grated carrot and two pieces of broccoli the size of a 5 cent piece does not constitute mixed vegetables. Such a shame. I understand that costs are probably going up. Perhaps it would be better to raise the price slightly and provide what is advertised?

This was one of the first places we had lunch at Sydney during our visit. It was recommended by our AirBnB host. It's clean and pleasant and the host is friendly. The location is quite ideal among many BnBs and hostels and their prices are quite decent as well. We tried the veg fried rice, tom yum soup, seafood panang curry and a veg panang curry. I wouldn't call it the best Thai food I had but it wasn't bad either. We had just landed and wanted to find the closest place that clean and had decent food that fulfilled our hunger and I think it did it. They do takeout as well. Drop by if you do come across it in your walks or travels around Sydney.

Value for money is unsurpassable. Delicious, fast and fresh veggies. They have vegan options too, you just have to ask. I had the green and red curry made vegan with steamed rice and it was DELICIOUS. Service was fast and the 2 ladies who work the front were always friendly and answered my questions and were able to make the meals vegan for me. My partner had the beef penang curry and he said it was amazing. Thank you!

Really good tasting Thai food at a really good price. Was tasty without all the additives. For groups, it makes it easy by allowing people to order and pay separately. The restaurant is BYO which is also great and makes for an economical night.

Found out about the restaurant through a friend and coincidentally it's near to our place. Had a shrimp cake, beef stir fried ginger, spring roll seafood and it's delicious! Service is good and very friendly waitress, we wanted to order more but they were about to close so we decided to take-away for our Pineapple fried rice..

I really liked the food - veggie PadThai with Tofu. I got some extra chilie flakes, services was really fast and also the food came quickly after ordering. Was a bit cold inside, I asked to close the big window in front, Service was really helpful with that. Door was still open, for me in general was still too cold inside.

A large dining area, and tables are not crowded. Probably suitable for a medium group. The seats are all soft plastic covered sponge, so comfortable. I hate wooden seats, it's an awful current fashion to save money! Most are indoors, with about 6 outside. Food is good, and quite cheap; mine was a very nice stir-fry with chicken, on rice, for $12! They also have $14 meals.

Once the best, but this days I can see it is different, I'm ok with prices going up, but the portions are smaller then what they used to be. The takeaway containers used to be full to their limits but it has already been several times where it wasn't the case. The food quality is there but i feel cheated when my meal size doesn't look as it used to( and it cost more).

Excellent value, friendly service and very nice food. I haven't had Pad Thai in years but got a lunch special at Thai Power recently and it was very good. My friend got an entree and meat dish and liked both. Ordering at the counter gives a takeaway feel but it is restaurant quality food.

I think Thaipower is under new management or have changed their recipes. Menu is the same, but the food quality has gone down hill somewhat. I used to eat here on a weekly basis, as of a few months ago, I won’t dine here anymore. It is a shame, the food used to be amazing. However, the service is still great the last time I visited.

Thai Power is an iconic Chinese restaurant which deserves it's reputation. Fast service and tasty and plenty food. Been here so many times, alone, as a couple and small groups. Prepare to wait for a place to sit. Reasonable price level for the location.

We stopped in for a quick lunch while waiting for our hotel to check us in. I got the cashew nut noodles and they were delicious + filling. The service was phenomenal and efficient. Couldn't ask for a better Thai experience!

Very comfortable restaurant with friendly & efficient service. The food was very special ~ I ordered the chicken laksa with noodles and vegetables and it was the perfect lunch. Plenty of tender chicken with an array of vegetables mixed with rice noodles. This restaurant has a calm ambience & is highly recommended.

Delicious lunch for a very affordable price, we weren't even seated for 5 min when the food already came. The Penang Curry was very delicious even though I was missing the lemongrass flavor that makes it special. Pad Thai was really good, not too sweet. Big portions. Very good value for money and friendly service!

There's a reason why this place is so popular with locals. We were recommended by a Navy mate of ours and they were spot on. Incredibly tasty, filling dishes; service with a smile and great value to boot. Stop on by here and go for a wander round Potts Point after - perfect way to spend a blissful Sydney evening.

This is for the rude ignorant woman who works behind the counter wearing blue jeans and gray NB sneakers most of the times with cheesy smiles and taller than other ladies, btw other staff are excellent. One sick sheep ruins the whole flock’s reputation.

The food was good but the beef stew was really hard and dry. Other noodles and rice was really great but the only mistake was the beef stew which is not worth is. I do recommend other foreigners to try this place. It’s worth the money

Delicious Thai cheap eat. $11 for a vegetable curry which is actually packed with tonnes of different vegetables and easily enough for 2 people. I’d definitely recommend if you want a tasty, quick and easy Thai meal. The curry puffs are pretty good too.

Great Thai food and very generous portions. It is not extremely clean though and there were little flies at the table next to us. In terms of food though, I was very happy with my meal and would definitely go back. Vegan options available.

Thaipower has the best green curry I ever had ! And everyone is super kind, and efficient taking orders and delivering even during rush hours. Keep up guys !

Order a quickie for lunch before heading to GP appt. Disappointed that the Thai Beef salad and Tom yum soup didn't match the picture and no utensils ( I had to buy wooden spoon at a local Woolies) to eat with.

My favourite Thai in Sydney! The food is tasty, service is quick and prices are really good value. It’s even BYO if you want to sit in. Very tasty meals and perfect for a quick and easy takeaway!

Friendly staff and tasty food Seems to get a fair bit of delivery orders and takeaway so if you want to have a sit down meal somewhere reasonably quiet this is the place to go

Just walk pass and food look delicious so we order beef with oyster sauce and calamari stir-fried. Both taste very good!
