This place has THE BEST vanilla slices on the planet. I don't know or care what they cost, they are just my guilty pleasure (best enjoyed with a good coffee when no kids are around). Sadly this is the main reason I shop here. The tarts & sausage rolls have shrunk in size over recent times and the meat pies are flatter, but at the same or higher cost. I was blown away the other day to find that a pie was over $5. It's not like the pie was chock-full of meat either. Neenish tarts are $4.90 but are tiny now also. The queue can also get pretty long at times when they're doing a coffee order, as they can't serve any other customers then.

No surcharge for soy! Hallelujah! Was delighted to find that this cafe does not charge extra for alternative milk - a common sense decision that is unfortunately not all that common. The young female barista was lovely, when she advised the price I doublechecked with her that it was definitely on soy because it’s far cheaper than what I normally pay, and she then informed me that they don’t charge more. $3.90 for a small chai coffee that was delicious - what a bargain, thank you!

The quality of the birthday cakes have been very good but not the customer service. As it was my daughter's special birthday (13) I decided to order a special cake for her and paid in full. Got the correct colour for the words but the stars were in a different colour, did they run out of it or thought blue was closest to purple? It was all on the ordering form with my contact details. Would have been good to receive a call to find out.

Anytime I am in the area I make time to stop and grab one or two items but they are often eaten before I get home. They truly know how to do tarts and pastries - lots of butter I imagine. I'm not a lover of Florentine but there's are to die for!

Choose any cake or slice, you can't go wrong The vanilla slices are the good old-fashioned ones, so yummy. They only do them on certain days though Birthday cakes are amazing. Pies are among the best I've had. …

This bakery is the best around, the meat pies are extremely good and so is everything else I've had there. Service is top notch. Every tursday for me is pie day and this is my favourite place for it.

Really good. Had spinach quiche, yumm, custard tart to die for - a real one just like I used to have as a kid, custard filled profiteroles - no words can describe..... Soooooo good. Thank you!

Delicious raspberry almond tart!! Definitely a stand out for me that's perfect for afternoon tea. You just need to buy it in the morning before it sells out.
