This is a hidden jewel of Kingston restaurants. It's a Cambodian-Thai lunch place primarily. The decor is diner-style, but don't let that fool you. The food is always delicious and I've been going here for years. Food arrives to the table hot, and it's not the nuked stuff you get in other places, but this is actually properly prepared food. The chef is the owner. Fresh tasting veggies, prepared in interesting yet basic sauces. They have some spicy food, but they have very interesting mild dishes too if you prefer. You can ask to make something extra spicy or extra mild as well and they are very accommodating. They do a really good job! I recommend the Pad Thai, Citrus Chicken, and Tomato Beef as my top choices and none of these are super spicy on their own but I add lots of table-side chili purée because I love it. PRO TIP: A lot of folks don't realize you can ask for rice noodles instead of rice if you prefer. You can get lunch for 2 for around $35 with appetizer.

This is one of my favourite Thai / Cambodian restaurants in Kingston. The food is always fresh and flavourful. They have good portion sizes however meat portions in the dishes tend to be small. I recommend ordering extra meat in your main course. Staff are very friendly and overall quality is really good. However, there’s been 2 occasions where I’ve shown up and there was a closed sign on the restaurant during their scheduled open business hours. There were no updates to their hours on google or online. So, now I’ve been calling my order in for pickup instead of eating in the restaurant.

Unfortunately after bringing home a pickup order I realized I was given the wrong dish. When I called and asked if I could have the correct order and maybe be refunded/ get a discount for the trouble of driving back and forth the owner said “People make mistakes.. we can’t do anything for you.” This was very disappointing as I understand that mistakes are made but things should also be made right when you are a paying customer. It ruined our meal and my boyfriend’s food was cold by the time he came back with mine. I will never be giving this place my business again and do not recommend!!

Called in to place an order for a chicken mee cha, because it’s a cambodian dish and I wanted to try something new. The portion was great, but flavour wise it’s nothing to really write home about. A little too sweet and too saucy for my liking. I asked for extra spicy and they delivered it. I probably won’t order this dish again. BUT i’m gonna give this place another shot and order something thai instead and see how it turns out. Will update my review when that happens!

The food was excellent I got a pork and shrimp thing with spring rolls it cost over 15 buck no drink just the meal. I finished it and made myself a sandwich at home and was still hungry they have me a big cup of fish sauce and no hoisen sauce But a little thing of hot sauce. Its too bad I am Feeling like it was very small for the price and there were only 3 shrimp 7 slices of pork and one spring roll. Now had the cost been more reasonable I would likely feel better as I say the food was delicious. God Bless

Such a pleasure to be able to enjoy a delicious, well rounded flavour freshly prepared meal, served up with love, at Siem Reap Restaurant. A family operated restaurant specialising in Cambodian and Thai cuisine, we enjoyed the well rounded and clean flavours of two of the Cambodian style dishes. Also enjoyed the fresh rolls with a lovely sauce which complemented the rolls very well. To me this is a standout restaurant and I'll be back tomorrow to enjoy another dish.

I was invited here by a co-worker, I do enjoy going to indie food emporiums like this one. I don't live in the area but am at least willing to make the 45 min trip back to be a part of the atmosphere in this little Thai/Cambodian restaurant. Spicy food is pleasant with a kick and keeps me coming back for more...wanting to sample everything on the menu...sadly I don't live around the corner from this place, but if I did!!!! well watch out!!!

No dining in anymore since COVID but the food (tried different things a few times now) is really solid. Only kind of it's type in the West end if I'm not mistaken.

This place is awesome! The restaurant itself isn't exactly up to date, but the deliciousness of their food far outweighs what their restaurant looks like. They always have courteous staff and they are usually very fast at getting your food out to you whether you're dining in, or having take-out. Food is always awesome. Price is very reasonable. Service is friendly and fast! It is clean and affordable.

  • Wendy Harris

Got the Pad Thai-good, not the best, but it wasn't expensive so it's fine and in all fairness I ate it at home and it sat a few minutes before I got to it. I would have liked more sauce and some lime, but I am an extra sauce on everything girl so that's me! The three shrimp were good and juicy:) would order it again-with a few modifications...

  • Hilary Verch

This was my first time eating Cambodian food. I can’t compare it to other Cambodian restaurants but I can say that I very much enjoyed the food! I will definitely order again and I think this will be a regular take out spot for us. I also have an allergy to gluten and I loved how their menu clearly lists what can be made gluten free.

THE place to go in Kingston for Thai and Cambodian cuisine! Healthy portions and incredibly friendly staff who are always happy to assist! THE SPRING ROLLS ARE THE BEST IN THE CITY - YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! Thank you so much to the Siem Reap family; you've been keeping my belly full for years and will continue to do so! :) :)

  • snaphan

Went in to try being I like thai soups. Expecially tom yum. Worse soup I've ever had. The broth tasted like coconut and dish soup. Didnt even finish it and was over priced. It was run down looking inside and could almost see my breath in there. Felt like warning people as they came in. Don't see how it has any good reviews.

  • Jesse Monroe

Very small quantity for the price. Paid $25 for a order of pad Thai and spring rolls, the spring rolls were tiny and not very good. The pad Thai was just okay but there is way better options in town and you get way more. The server was nice but just wasn't impressed with the food or the quantity.

  • Adam Coulombe

I would get it again. Tried this for the first time and food was good. Of all the places to get Cambodian in Kingston I wouldn’t say this would be my first choice but I really don’t have any complaints! Being on the west end makes this a good option if you don’t want to travel downtown.

  • Hannah Dean

As a couple that's new to this corner of Kingston, we've had our eye on this place for a while and finally got to try it tonight. Really tasty, very distinctive entrés. We tried four different ones, and they were all delicious. A great family restaurant! We will be going again …

  • Shannon Warr-Hunter

We love Siem Reap - our favourites are the #18 green curry with bamboo shoots and chicken (Delicious and creamy and full of flavour) and the Tom Yum Shrimp soup (literally the best I’ve ever had! So much depth of flavour in the broth and the perfect spice)

The food is delicious, but the restaurant itself is... pretty shoddy. If you can handle a truly mediocre atmosphere (at best), you'll get some really tasty food. They're even willing to minimize the spice in some of the hotter dishes, which I appreciate!

  • Dave Fegan

I got the #1 red curry yesterday. Portion was small - 2/3rd of the container was rice. 5 or 6 small pieces of chicken in sauce. that's it for 15.00. I ate it all and was hungry after. The flavour of the curry was pretty bland compared to most others.

  • junk mail

Went there on 21 Apr 23, takeout only. We ordered a rice paper roll with shrimp, Pad Thai with Chicken (#15) and the Cambodian curry (#7). Appetizer was okay, fresh, mostly lettuce but that makes it crispy. The fish sauce seemed somewhat

  • Katherine Hall

The service was great, take out order was ready on time, however was rather disappointed by quality and quantity of the food. We had a favorite Thai restaurant in our previous neighborhood and it was far superior for the same price.

  • Darren Smith

Small dine in area with diner style seating. Staff are very friendly. The food is standard Kingston Cambodian right down to the #6 Golden Chicken (highly recommend). One.of.mu favourite places to order ahead and take out.

  • Sean Liddle

A bit pricey for the quantity of food but quality is very high. That said, this isn't the USA, you don't need a mountain of food when it is this good. Golden Chicken is best in the city. Samlaw Khmer is amazing.

  • Jimmy Vu

Ordered the pad thai. Small, too sweet lacking in flavour. Very mediocre. We know our Thai food though so you might not be as picky.

First time ordering from Siem Reap and all I can say is: WOW! Fantastic quality, even after driving back to Napanee with it sitting in the Styrofoam containers. We will most definitely be ordering again!

  • Maureen Powers

We have used it many times with satisfaction. However our recent experience indicated that they are filling up their plates with too much rice and too little of the important main course . Saving money?

  • Rob Edwards

Their Thai Hot & Sour Soup, affectionately know simply as Soup G has been a monthly staple in our house for over 10 years. They also serve up Some of the best salad rolls/wraps in town. #cambodian

  • Linda Fraser

Love love the food! Try the Soup B or F...yum!!! Very reasonable prices .... NOT fancy....very plain decor but the food is great. I don't even think they serve alcohol. Then do a lot of take out!

  • Kerri-Ann Loves2Craft

Love this place...servers are excellent...food is excellent....my favourite meal is a number 5 without the onions and green peppers...but you can have it with and it's good too …

  • Ashley Kinnear

Love the paid Thai and the veg spring rolls are amazing. Only "complaint" is I wish you'd get more spring rolls in an order but it's cool, they know how good they are lol …

  • Chris Sampson

Quick and very friendly service, decent food for sure. We had dinner for two for $50 - two pop, two appetizers, and two mains. We give it a 7/10. Tasty, I suspect we'll be back.

  • David Rodrigues

There was very little chicken in the red curry and the curry itself lacked depth of flavour. Will probably not go back. On a positive note, the front of house server was nice.

  • Carmen Gauvin-O'Donnell

Deeeelicious food! I ordered the citrus chicken with rice, and hubby had the ginger chicken with rice. Start all that with their great spring rolls and bingo! A great meal!

  • Heidi Colburn

Been a customer for more then 5 years, love this place. Eat in or take out. I feel 4 of us (2 teenagers ) for 50$ McDonald's cost us almost 40. What's better for them.

  • Thomas Bridge

Very friendly service generous portion lots of chicken just had the golden chicken found it to be just ok tasted a little watered down seemed to be missing some flavours…

  • Jessica O

Good food but I would say there are better Thai options in the city. The pad Thai was the surprising winner of our meal.
