The customer service was extremely poor. Since the beginning we only felt pressure to sell rather than being properly assisted. We went there to buy school shoes, something we were doing for the first time in our life. My wife wanted to see more options having more pleasant details or in other words, more beautiful. The lady instead of trying to understand what we exactly meant, she felt visibly annoyed by the request starting to laugh at our face (while saying "I don't understand what you mean by more beautiful"). Or adding later, they are school shoes as if that meant we HAD to buy whatever was there. In addition to that, we also needed runner shoes (still for the school). We were shown only one pair and presented in a way where either we liked it or we could go somewhere else. Unfortunately we had to buy considering our daughter is starting in a couple of days. However, customers shouldn't be treated in a such a way. Everything possible should be done to at least understand their concerns and wherever possible, to address them. Definitely Shoes & Sox Eastgardens has lost us as customers.

I do not leave reviews even with bad customer service but the treatment I have received today is utterly appalling. I have a 15month old and I had registered for a fitting but no one tended to me even though the store was empty and I had been waiting for 15mins. When I finally went up to the staff, I was dismissed and told to look at shoes in this aisle and come back to them when I had chosen despite me asking them specifically for recommendations. The horror was when they tried the shoe on my toddler and the way they PINCHED AND PRESSED her toes to the point she started wailing and WOULD NOT STOP. There was a senior staff demonstrating to the junior staff and said, pinch here, push harder can't you feel the toe, it is here. My toddler is NOT a demo - I do not mind on the job training but the treatment given was horrifying. I was so shocked. I am ashamed that I have not lashed out because I am non confrontational. I said my thanks and said I would consider later. An absolutely traumatising experience for a mum.

Visited the store today and had the worst customer experience. There were 3 staff and perhaps 4 customers in the store at the time, i asked the male staff if I was able to do a fitting of my 1year old foot to get his shoe size etc, his response was “sorry there is a long wait about an hour to be able to do a size/fitting of his feet”. I therefore took a spare shoe sizing plate and measured my sons foot and worked out what size he would be myself. Ask for a shoe size, he came back with the wrong shoe size, waited for 10 minutes for the shoe to come, shoe was too big, requested another shoe size, waited 10 minutes again just to request for a smaller size. The lack of customer care and interest was really evident today - Sunday's are busy I completely understand. However, I felt like the service was rushed, not personable and to be quite frank - rude. We wanted to try on other shoe brand to see if they would fit my son but unfortunately with the lack of attentiveness we walked out with nothing.

We had booked in a fitting time and arrived on said time. When we got there the store was super busy and we had to wait. No big deal. But people with older kids (teens) were let in as they "didn't need help with fitting". How is that fair??? They still needed assistance to get the actual shoe in the correct size. Not impressed. And then there was a lady sitting in the store with her kids having their lunch. No idea how that's okay..... Social distancing, mask etc.... I get it kids are hungry all the time, but seriously take up the waiting area to eat your fries and burger It took us 15min to finally get into the store to have my sons fitted. The staff who helped us was lovely and really calm and caring but the wait was not okay. Wonder why I booked ahead of time or took the time to feed my kids in the food court before getting there

The worst customer service to date from this store and I have been coming for years. As of today you have lost me as a customer.

Normally shop at Bondi junction S &S but thought we would go to Eastgardens, pagewood. Made a back to school booking which was great as we were served straightaway and there was a long wait for walk ins. Problem is the guy that served us rushed us through. I knew the shoes were ridiculously too big, but he kept asking my 9 yr old If i”they were ok. Being shy he said yes and he moved us on. First day of school today and you guessed it- 2022 old shoes are on and we are off to school. Now have to go and return these ones and waste time before work ready for tomorrow. Back to Bondi junction Shoes and Sox me thinks!

Bad customer service, staff cannot do multitasking at all. We're just looking for shoes size (which staff can easily grab from the back), and male staff keep serving others who occupied his time for a extremely long period. He even go back and forth to the back multiple times (which he should be able to use this time to grab the shoes size I'm looking for). To make the matter worse, when he finish with that particular client, he serve other client while completely forget my request. Avoid this place if you want good service...

Terrible customer service. Waited patiently and nobody came to help. Approached a salesperson to ask for help and was told they're helping another customer. Most sales staff can quickly duck into the store room and help more than one customer at a time. Finally got help from another staff member. Then waited ages at the counter to pay for the shoes with noone coming to serve us. One of the staff members was just putting stock away. Felt totally ignored. I left the shoes and walked away. I'd rather buy online.

Fitting experience is great….everyone was very helpful and friendly. My only negative would be the rewards program…I feel this can be massively improved and instead of being a card that gets lost it can be against the account they have of you in their system. Also I purchased 2 pairs of the same shoes but ended up getting two cards with one stamp each (why not one card with 2 stamps?). Just feels like they make it as hard as possible to be able to redeem a reward.

We were after school shoes. We didn't book an appointment, but joined the queue via the QR code at the door. Went to do some other stiff in Eastgardens before we got a text, when it was our turn. Very efficient model. As always, we got a very knowledgeable staff member, who found the perfect shoe. My daughter has very narrow feet, so it's a bit tricky. Using the Back to school vouchers was no problem, they even reminded/ask about that. Highly recommend that shop!

Really not great, the wait was very long.. And then when we finally were being measured, the woman kept leaving and talking to different workers, giving them instructions about other matters. We eventually left without the third child being measured, as we simply couldn't wait anymore and were going to be late for our next appointment. I have been buying shoes at your stores for many years, but unfortunately today the customer service was really sub par.

Had a good 1st time experience in the shop. Wait time to get fitted was about 10min. They guy that was dealing with us was so lovely couldn’t fault him at all. We wanted to purchase shoes today for our 14mouth son but they had NO size at all in stock. Highly disappointing . Went to Shoes and Sox in Myer (was recommended by the staff)and same thing No sizes in stock. Very disappointed that we couldn’t purchase shoes today.

Made an appointment online for a fitting for my son who is starting school next year. We were greeted warmly by Jayden at the front of the store. My son’s foot was measured and Jayden recommended a couple of different styles suitable for my son. We decided on a pair of Asics. Jayden’s interactions with my son were age appropriate and he was easy to communicate with. Great service, thank you.

Shoes and Sox is the worst store - their website says there are Easy Returns, yet when you return items to the store they only provide a credit note (for sale items) which can only be redeemed in store. This is highly annoying when you need to drive 40 minutes to reach your nearest store. They never answer the phone either. Overall a horrendous customer service experience.

Eastgardens S&S was wonderful yesterday. Kay you are so helpful, informative, and a lovely lady to boot! With two (7yr & 8yr) for school and sport shoes is always a trying time, but Kay you made it so bearable, your composure is one to be commended. Thank you and the gift pens are so much better than the sweets on previous years. Grateful Nanny!

Ridiculous, I just wanted a pair of shoes in the size I know my daughter wears. The woman at the front insisted I scan and wait for a fitting... wouldn't even speak to me except to say, just scan in and wait... very poor... I scanned and waited and after 20 mins hovering outside waiting for my name to be called I left... very poor experience.

Excellent staff at shoes & Sox today. Jeanette (trainee) looked after my 6yo. They didn't have all the shoes we needed as we wanted 4 pairs but we found 2 after going back and forth from store rooms several times. Super helpful and patient with us. Even got some stickers!!! 4 stars for the range not the experience.

I bought my daughters school shoes from here. The staff here are great with the kids and there is a large selection of good quality school shoes. The only reason i give 4 stars and not 5 is because i had to wait about 45 mins to be served as it was very busy, this was the only negative part of my experience.

Can I just give a big shout out to Annalise from Eastgarden SnS for her beautiful help. She was so friendly, super polite and very knowledgeable! Unlike the store manager which was the total opposite - abrupt and impolite ! Thank you again Annalise for helping us with those three boxes of Clark’s shoes!

Really poor….we waited 20 mins to be served (which I completely understand, given the school demands), however we chose 3 different pairs of shoes for our 3 yr old only to find out that the store had none of any of them in his size….45 mins of my weekend I’ll never get back!!

The woman that fitted my daughter today for school shoes was super friendly & knew how to fit properly. Would recommend this place with most of the fitters. A few are pushy & think they know better than parents but the younger new fitters aren't like that thankfully.

Only single side of shoes available to try on, but kids need a pair of shoes to be convinced that it's comfy. Before you even begin waiting for customer service who need to get the second shoe from the back your kid is over waiting and wants to leave. No sale

Our fitting experience was less than satisfactory. We were fitted by a trainee, which obviously needed assistance and which he received none. The process took an hour and we are not sure we went home that were the right fit.
