A follow up to my below review from a couple of weeks ago... What I didn't mention in my below review was that although I received a confirmation email from SIXT' Smithfield that the rental vehicle was to be a "Toyota RAV4 hybrid or similar" which is what was booked by NRMA, when I arrived to pick up the "Toyota RAV4 hybrid or similar" I was told they did not have one to give me and I was only to be given a "sedan"... Now normally this would not be a problem, but I needed a SUV as I carry a lot of samples around for work, I had no option but to accept the "Sedan" and make do...Today I had to drop off my car back to MotorServe as there was an issue with the paint, again I received an email from SIXT' to confirm the booking NRMA had made for a "Toyota RAV4 hybrid or similar". So I walk into SIXT' this morning to pick up my "Toyota RAV4 hybrid or similar" and to be told "Sorry, we do not have a "Toyota RAV4 hybrid or similar", we only have a "Sedan" to give you!!! I must have "Loser" written" across my forehead! This is now the second time I had the misfortune to have to use this establishment as it’s the rental company NRMA uses in association with MotorServe Smithfield. I generally find that the staff attitude is poor and they would prefer to be somewhere else! Who knows, maybe the two times I have had to use them the staff were just having a bad day…. But that’s just too much of a coincidence!

Don’t know how to start talking about this place but if there is somthing bellow 1 star i would choose . Went to get the rental car as my car being repair they let me put 1$ as bond when i hand the car they didn’t even check it and . Later after they send me fuel invoice for 233$ .They said because the car wasn’t full feul tank which is wrong i call them directly and i asked the man to go check the car after put me on hold he came back to me he said sorry you are right the fuel tank was full and you not gonna charge for that … after that i checked my bank acciunt they charged me already for that so i called again and after over 20 min on the phone they said we canceled it to u its will take about 7-10 business day to be return to my account again .. additional to that its very slow procedure to get the can and slow procedure to return the car as well …. Not recommended at all Note : before u get the car just take a video for all the car before u sign for it incase if there is any old scratches .

The team at SIXT Smithfield were incredibly friendly and professional the whole way through. I reserved the booking online and subsequently received a phone call to confirm my car choice, dates and that I was happy with a couple of car-specific T&C’s. The team was helpful in ensuring I didn’t incur extra costs, such as making sure I’d booked with unlimited KMs. I received a second phone call a few days prior to assure me the vehicle would be ready and to run through the checklist of things to bring on the day. Picking up the car was a breeze and I was ready to go in minutes. Returning it was as simple. These folks are some of the most professional car rental people out there (along with their colleagues at SIXT Revesby). I know where I’ll be going for all my rentals from now on. Thank you to the whole team. World class service.

Even though they were short staffed this day, I found them amazing! They were so great I really felt comfortable in their presence. They made me feel like I was a part of their family and it was so welcoming. On that note, I would like to say truely!, I love your work and customer service I wish I was a part of your family! Smithfield Crew were amazing! Really friendly staff, I forgot the gentleman’s name who helped me at 7:30am in the morning but he was very attentive, explained the long term hire process and how it all works. Helped me with photos and provided a fantastic service. I was already a fan of Sixt due to the rates, but their customer service was the cherry on top at my pickup yesterday. Thank you! I will definitely be back.

Front of house was helpful even though they did not receive a couple request prior to picking car for small car. On arrival they had a 7 seater booked. Which was not ideal. It was changed quickly & I received a smaller vehicle. The car had an odour of cigarette smell. The car was clean but just had a persistent odour. The car ran very well & I was happy with everything else

Good Service , and easy in and out . The booking was organized via my insurer, NRMA Pick up was quick and easy (except the need to have a second contact, which I don't have) Drop off was even easier, there was already some one being served, so they immediately grabbed another desk person to handle the load (If only Woolies did this) I Highly recommend.

Amazing service and attitude from Chim at Smithfield, I came in on Monday 31st July at 9:30 and was booked in to take a Corolla but I drive a Mercedes so I told Chim and he immediately went above and beyond to contact my insurance company to reorganise another booking. He even got my hire car cleaned. So lovely to deal with, great asset to Sixt.

The staff were professional and friendly. The whole process was quick without any fuss. We booked a Mitsubishi but got a "similar" car - Renault which was practically almost new and in great condition. Exceeded our expectations. Was also value for money. We will definitely rent from here again.

Very professional and prompt service. From the first entry into the office, a warm greeting and to add, staff were very knowledgeable and within ten mins we were handed the keys and the paperwork. We will recommend this business to friends and family, well done team.

Rip off..thats how these con artists make the money taking bond charging extra and making rules up as they bumble through the day they dress nice but that is to make up for the lack of brains between the ears sixt car rental..ehh id rather walk...

Great place, top service. Polite and helpful manager and staff. Easy access, good size yard with cars, 4WDs, vans and trucks. Petrol station close by with everything you need to fill up. Will be back

Car is putrid, stains everywhere, touch screen doesn’t work, one speaker working. Car is poorly kept. Can’t recommend it! One star is generous!! Absolutely STINKS!
