This is - for me - one of the best Italian food places I’ve tasted in Toronto. The dim ambience gives it a cute romantic twist as well. Cool spot for a nice date. We ordered a pizza and I intentionally sat next to the huge oven to watch them do it. The dough was so soft with a slight crunch and the cheese melting was just on point. I am a very simple traditional pizza lover so I always go for Margherita and it was an excellent choice. But the big surprise was the pasta Bolognese!!!!! I have no words! I rarely order pasta bolognese outside because if you ever tried a good bolognese you can never enjoy the average bolognese restaurants offer. But SIP did not disappoint! The pasta was out of this world, it was like a hug to my soul. The flavours in term of balance and acidity and temperature were extraordinary! Such simple but complex dishes are an indication of a good chef. Even the cheese they provide on the side was good! Finally in comparison to the top quality food they provide, the place was affordable. I highly recommend this place! Oh and at the end we were too full to order desert

Excellent experience at SIP. The servers were all very friendly and caring even tho it was a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy, but still managed to find time to entertain us and guide us thru the wine list. We had an italian platter with cured meats and cheese, and fritto misto to start with. Pizzas were delicious, nice crust and very generous cheesy toppings. We came to SIP Wine Bar for dinner on recommendation of some of us who have had a good time here before; and, this time, we all had a great experience as well. We ordered an assortment of cocktails and dishes - most of which we shared, along with a couple bottles of wine, and everything was enjoyable. We had SIP Bruschetta, Frittura Mista, Burratina di Bufala, Amalfi Pizza, Calzone, Agnolotti, Risotto alla Pescatora, Tartufo Classico, Panna Cotta and Tortino al Cioccolatto. The staff was super nice and the service was very good.

This Italian restaurant is the only place I know near Yonge-Eglinton that serves real Napolitan food. Pizzas are delicious. They use quality ingredients for their food and it changes everything. The Italiana with tomato base is amazing and I would recommend this for any real pizza lover. The white chocolate cheesecake is also something you definitely have to try if you want to finish on a good note. Pasta and risotto are also really good, and you will get a great portion.
