Had a great day picnic-ing with family today. Great open spaces, paths for riding bikes, toilet facilities and ample parking. Shady areas and play equipment too are great. The only complaint I have is the amount of people walking their dogs off leash. My cousin also had her dog with us today, however he was secured on a lead. People need to be aware of their animals and not let them run off. I had my 6 month old son laying on the blanket and was constantly on edge every time a dog came past. One couple came past twice with their dogs and neither time did anything to stop their dogs tramping over our belongings. Not the park's fault but people need to have some common sense!

Absolutely beautiful place. lovely background for photos, lots of bbq areas. Nice place to have a walk and relax.
Playground
The playground is currently being updated, but I can't wait to see the update.
Restrooms
They have restrooms available to the public during opening hours. some of the toilets are closed tho, and are only open if you book a pavilion.
Dog-friendliness
They have a Dog friendly off leash area at the back of the park.
Picnic area
There are about a handful of covered picnic areas around the park, there are some with BBQ's and others without. There are also plenty of places to set up with a picnic blanket under a nice shady tree.

Great place to bring the kids. Lots of bike tracks mostly off road but not too difficult. Suitable ride for kids just coming off training wheels. The outdoor park is okay yet needs some additional TLC to be great. They've removed the flying fox which was a bit disappointing for the kids. The BBQ areas are good yet its recommended that you book if you choose to go on weekend or public holiday. There's public toilets down the bottom of the park which are a little dirty but what you'd probably expect from a regional park. Overall we enjoy creating Ming here every fortnight or so for a ride and picnic. Safe place for the kids to ride away from the road.

A beautiful park that is no longer a kids adventure park. The toilets and bbqs are really clean which is great. However, the playground has been left to fall apart. It is no longer a draw card that is for sure. It is dangerous with holes in the soft fall and the equipment that has broken over the years they have just removed and haven't replaced. This park used to be fabulous, even with long drop toilets. They now have flushing toilets. The bush setting itself is lovely however it is looking really unloved. Please replace the playground, it was once known as one of the best. But sadly it now looks like a forgotten funpark.

As this was the first park i visited in NSW with my friend , i wish i can give -1 star to this park’s management . We had total 6 children from three families all under 8 . We did not realize the closing time was 8pm . Mostly in Melbourne they close half gate of regional parks to stop people from entering the park but thanks to this park which close the full gate . On top the lady on the phone was not pressing the button until you say “ yes , i agree and will pay the fine” . All the kids were screaming and i just said “OK” . Then she opened the gate . Wow what a nice experience one could have .

A hidden gem in the area! The playground was recently upgraded and now has plenty of fun equipment for kids to burn their energy. There is a flying fox, a small maze, slide, swings, spinner, climbing structure and many more. The park has plenty of natural shades, also undercover BBQs, public toilets and a open grassy area for picnics, frisbees or kite flying. The car park is conveniently located near the amenities mentioned above and there are many spaces to accommodate all visitors! I know there are also short, loop walking tracks and bike tracks so will definitely be back to explore further!

I attended Rouse Hill parkrun. The course is a mix of surfaces from bitumen to dirt trails and grass. It is an undulating course passing through natural bushland and scenic hillsides. The course is easy to follow and can be challenging. Just after the 1km point there is a long climbing hill which flattens out at the top and then the course meanders back down to the start finish area. Runners complete a small lopp followed by two large laps of the course. It was worth the visit just for the beautiful views but it is a great cross country running venue for runners and walkers of all abilities.

Wide variety of pleasant walks with different degree of grades. Easy children friendly walks about 1 km each , few , and reasonably steep (39m rise) winding path about one km. The pathway degree of steepness are marked very well. Excellent air due to plenty of trees.Excellent park for family with children to spend a day. No noise at all . When visiting pl take a small bag to put your rubbish and bring that home back. I had one hour walk today. Enjoyed very much. The seats, tables, play equipments can have bit of maintenance to improve further.

Celebrated our kids birthday. Booked FIBROSA shelter in advance(around $364/day).GOOD POINT IF THE SHELTER ISNT BOOKED ITS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. It was clean, we had rain water supply and electrical points. 2 Bbqs and a huge bench space. Good enough seating. There was more desk space but we couldn't access it because of heavy rains. Toilets were near by. It's a great location minus the weather disruption. Have had few of friends party in past and have a few to attend in future. Always look forward to it.

This used to be one of the best multigenerational parks around for families with both older and younger kids, but instead of repairing worn equipment, the top playground for older kids and adults was removed entirely leaving very little play equipment except for toddlers. We really miss the flying fox, bike-go-round and gym equipment. I've downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 2. The best thing in its favour now is the peaceful bushland setting and toilets. Nice for ballgames, scooters and picnics/BBQs.

  • Daithí Kilcourse

This is a beautiful park with a lot of activities to do here. There are a lot of barbecue areas throughout the park and lots under cover that can cater for a big party. There are nice little walks to do here too. There are lots play areas for kids. There are also some areas to take dogs for walks and enjoy the beautiful nature in the park. Very nice park that can get very busy during the summer time. Plenty of parking throughout the park too. Like it here.

  • Chris Lewis

Lovely place for families, or just to walk the dog. Can be a little noisy in parts but there are BBQ tables and cookers, several toilet blocks and walking tracks suitable for all levels of fitness, including those in wheelchairs. There is also the historic Rouse House a short walk away!! All this and the park just a short distance from Rouse Hill Village and Rouse Hill Town Centre.

  • Chiv De Silva

Nice little spot, this was the first time here and on a nice sunny day it’s great for a gathering or stroll. There is a nice view from the top of the hill where you feel like you’re in the country side, not sure how long that will last. There is a trail for horses too which is a great bonus for kids to spot. We couldn’t find a bin in the lower section of the park however.

  • Penny

We hired an area within the park. It was a great set up and we were able to get there early to set things up. A ranger came around and spoke to us about having balloons as apparently they weren't allowed, but we had checked all the rules both posted on site and those emailed and there was no mention of the ban on balloons. Apart from that hiccup we had a great time.

  • Reynold Ismail

Love this park, very peaceful and more than one way to wander around.
Playground
Playground and labyrinth for the young and young at heart!
Restrooms
There are restrooms available, usually clean
Dog-friendliness
Always see a fair few people bring their pups for walkies around here
Picnic area
Lots of different areas for picnics and bbqs

  • Andrew Hoang

A massive park with plenty of facilities including shaded BBQ areas, playground and heaps of easy trails that are great for a casual walk. A big bonus is the park is dog friendly and well maintained. There is however no bins, so bring your own bags to carry your rubbish with you.
Dog-friendliness
You're allowed to bring your dog to regional park on leash.

  • Sharon Smith

It is a lovely park. They have opened up some more picnic shelters at the end near the children's play area. They appear to be building more across from the carpark. It has some larger shelters for bigger get- togethers and BBQs. Mainly walking areas and open space, but a generous children's play area.
Dog-friendliness
On leash park suitable for dogs

  • Kelly O

Currently no childrens playground due to an upgrade however from signage, that appears to be delayed. Lots of area to picnic/bbq facilities available. Great spaces to be used to play games such as cricket, kick a ball, etc. Hoping playground upgrade will be completed by end of May 2022 then the area should be a better wholistic entertaining space.

  • Lipika Naik

I personally love this place, but the nice thing about it is its not very crowded. And has plenty of place to do free parking. You can even do Barbecue, there are multiple gazebos there and very clean. The play area is newly built too, so good for kids. And if you are a nature lover you can do bush walking too.

  • Ingo Golab (Dynacord)

Nice place when you can find it! The Natsav in the car sent us to Rouse Hill Cottage. I wasn't the only one this happened to. Signage inside the park is poor, making it hard to find the pavilion we were attending for the function. Enjoyed our function though the weather was very windy & cold. Worth a visit.

  • Nikita Sonawane

Beautiful and quite place to spend time with family and/or friends. Just grab ur hat nd sunscreen, u r ready to go for cycling, walking or play some games wid kids. Nice little activities for toddlers. Plenty of rest areas. Loved dat maze not too complex or big for kids to gets lost. In love with it.

  • Cameron and Adriana King

Rouse Hill Regional Park is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park features well-maintained walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, cycling, and a peaceful afternoon by the lake. A great spot for families and nature lovers alike.

  • Justin Horvath

Only good place around to take my dog for a quick 20-30 min walk/run. The only downfall is you need to keep dogs on a lead. I think it defeats the purpose living out west where you have more space than you know what to do with. No rubbish bins, and not the best looking picnic areas or facilities.

  • Alex Macintosh

Not too much to do here, the `Giant Maze` is neither giant nor a maze. Barren stretches of Aussie bushland adjacent to private farms. A few pavilions for a bbq gathering and a small playground for kids. The latter isn't very special either. Not worth going out of your way to visit here.

  • Raquel Bacci

A good variety of activities. You can picnic and have a BBQ. You can explore the fields and/or through bush trails. Bike riders can ride on the tracks. The playground is rustic with an engaging mini maze. The park is getting some updates. It will be good to see the new improvements.

  • kushagra pareek

Park is very big and good area for walking, cycling or playing cricket/football. Need maintenance regularly and council/caretaker should do that often. Kids play area and Maze is nice. Toilets are little far. Take care of small ants, spider and may be snake (couple of sign boards)

  • Adam Winchester

Very underwhelming. Broken and old play equipment, poorly maintained play area with complete sections of ground missing, spider webs in play area, good picnic spaces which is the only redeeming feature. Bad roads, high speed bumps (don't bring your low car). Would not recommend.

  • Kalyan Bhadra

A large area to cater all kinds of fun activities. Ideal to spend a day with family and friends. Plenty of parking available, however, could be busy on a perfect day. This was our goto place in lockdown as one can definitely maintain social distance without giving away fun.

  • Chrissy Breen

We went for the Autumn harvest festival. It rained the night before so the ground was really muddy. That was fine except that it ended up being a super hot and might day and there was not enough shade. Great stalls but not enough. The talks and the cow feeding were fun.

  • Alina Peberdy

Great place for bbq or picnic, several BBQs available. Large interactive playground with a fun large timber maze and slide. Great to bring your dog for a long fun walk through the bush trails and up the farm paddocks. Free parking free entry free BBQs plenty of parking

  • Eliza Chiu

Lovely big space for dogs to play and explore. There is lots of different walks with tree lines but all is on leash area. Which is not so bad as it’s so quiet we can’t easily put them on a longline. The only downside is there is no potable water which seems mega odd.

  • Rajataditya R.K.

A quite place slightly away from.the highway. Good area for spending time with your family or just sometime for the kids. It has a play area and also sitting area. Big parties with about 40-50 people can be hosted in the venue but you will need a booking for it.

  • Mountain Trains

Amazing spot, pretty with very clean cooking and picnic areas Bit of bird doo on the chairs but overall an awesome spot. We visited in mid summer so it was dry n hot, however there was a breeze n the water area meant there was a green spot, making it lovely

  • Io Jupiter

A great park to have your party. The only downside is bins are not provided, so you need to take your rubbish with you. To reserve shelter, its a bit pricier than other places, but booking is straight forward and they send you all the info you need to know.

  • harrison coy

Good: It has nice walking tracks but feels kinda small. There are playgrounds for kids. There is also a few BBQ that seem well taken of and would be good for family events. Bad: There are two speed bumps that are quite high and scraped the bottom of my car.

  • Prue Gardner

It was a great spot for a variety of tastes. Open paddocks to run through a mown pathway and bush tracks to explore. Kids park facilities and lots of picnic spaces - when open during non-Covid times! Great place to walk the dog for somewhere different.

  • rio d_janiro

Quit place, you can walk, run or bike.there is cottage clean toilet.the kids will enjoy as well because there is playing area for then. Accessible by car.but you can ride public tranport or bike.about 15 to 20 minutes away from rouse Hill town center.

  • Capt Bs Gill

Very good picnic place for families, groups and children.vast area and a 1 km around track for walking. Playing for children like swing s is under construction. Public toilets etc are there. There are no shops ,so one has to carry his requirements.

  • Poulsen

Quiet park with with a looping stroll around it. They are busy upgrading the playground facilities atm, but it is a lovely park. Bathrooms and a few BBQ’s as well. Very clean. Grass on the field is neatly cut. It borders the old Rouse Hill House.

  • Everybody Solo

So good now the toilet blocks are done and there are new playground equipment! (It's been a while since I was there).
Playground
Look for the metal animals planted around the playground, we found a bat, a snake, a firefly and a turtle!

  • Casey Degamwala

A good place to spend the day with family and friends. Take a walk around the second Ponds creek and observe the check dams and wooden pipe lines for water delivery to Rouse Hill estate around 150 years ago. Stroll along the forest path and

  • Luke Reader

Lots of work has been done .. toilets a little far from play area ..plenty of room and great play things for the kids.. plenty of shelter and Bbqs are clean and ready to use . This place has a earthy feel to it with lots of bush land around.

  • Tim Power

This is a great park in a rural setting. There are some really unique kids play equipment including a timber maze. There are also nice walking tracks with wild flowers and a creek. The playground could do with a bit more maintenance though.

  • Darren Kelly

We went here for an autumn festival. They advertised that the would be a Lego event, but it turned out to be a nearby thing for which we needed to pre-register. Kids were very disappointed. Also there was no child friendly food at all.

  • Steven Lewis (Lewy)

Great Experience here every time we go the Kidz Love the Place and the friends they bring always want to come back. The MAZE is AMAZING the best thing ever so much FUN, making the MAZE a little bigger would be great as well. Shame the

  • Jeremy Wong

Nice park area for walking around, good amount of picnic areas. some of the children's play equipment needs to be replaced/removed. some equipment already half removed. When I visited toilets vandalised, water line cut, Petty sad.

  • Melissa rose

This park used to be great with the flying fox and other kids playground part. They're no longer there. However it's still a nice park with another playground, maze, big open areas and a nice track to take a walk along the creek.

  • Di Bailey

NPNSW are currently doing some works on play areas and toilets. They have tidied some of the walking paths clearing overgrown grass. Good combination of pathed and unpathed tracks, bush areas and field space, with plenty of room.

  • Poonam Rathor

Perfect for a peaceful day with family. Yes, no garbage bins and I think that's very good so we must clear away our trash ourselves. That ensures the environment remains clean. It teaches kids to clean up and not destroy nature.

  • Tracey Kisiel

They do not provide rubbish bins here for the large numerous bbq areas. There is dog pop everywhere to the sides of the walking tracks. And litter everywhere. There are signs saying ‘Please take your rubbish with you’

  • David Wilson

A beautiful park to share with many. Great to learn about the history and the diverse animals that can have alittle freedom to run around (especially great seeing horses and riders walking amongst the long grass)

  • Lyn Mc

Beautiful parkland handy to Sydney suburbs, good for picnics, electric bbqs on site and outdoors areas suit young children. Room to spread out. Gate close time extended to 8pm during summer / daylight savings.

  • Mitchell Davies

Very dry and dusty, with a weathered and visibly aged park area. The actual seating and barbecue area are not bad but the rest of the play area has been left for ruin. Definitely not as good as it used to be.

  • Good News

Very good place for Family Picnics and gatherings with Groups People. It's having very good spaces for parking and suspicious facilities of seating, group Activities, theatre style shades with BBQ place

  • Zubair Minto

Good for family picnic or a walk. Quite a few sheds, a couple of large sheds that you can book via the council. Kids play area is good. The place does not have bins so bring your own garbage bags

  • S R

My child suffered a major injury to his face tripping on the broken soft fall on the ground as he was playing in the playground. I hear it will soon be redeveloped and will change my review then.

  • Hema shankar

Good big park, however there is no single dustbin. Not convenient for event and big get together.
Playground
Big park
Picnic area
Good setup, could have been more benches to sit.

  • hreem S

Nice and peaceful park, great for walking and great organising family events.Lots of parking available and covered picnic area available for hire. Park was fairly busy even later in evening.

  • Sean Cheng

Facilities are great, and the area is quite clean overall (kudos to locals and council). Would benefit in redeveloping the parking to be safer are more sturdy, but overall, great park!

  • Paul Askin

Great space for families & groups let down by only having one toilet block. It's also in need of some concentrated effort to control the weeds - there are bindis / prickles everywhere.

  • NL K

Average park. Is missing some equipment that used to be there like a flying fox. Very busy on weekends with children's parties. Get there early. Good BBQ facilities and toilets.

  • Sheldon Fernandez

  • Ana

Great place for family picnic or just stroking around. Quiet, rural type good for kids to play around as well. Also some of the sheds are well equipped with BBQ and water taps

  • Eve 7.0

The park is vast and has great open air areas for education needs. The play area though is falling apart, literally. My little one had fun just had to be watched very closely.

  • Aoife Keane

A great place go for a walk or have a barbeque. Perfect for kids with its large playground, complete with a little maze, and expanses of grass just made to run around on.

  • FlameLily K

Lovely park, great for family gatherings and celebrations. Actually witnessed a wedding there.
Restrooms
The restroom are a bit of a walk from the kids play area.

  • Kenneth W

Can't find bins to throw rubbish into. Parking is kind of "it is what it is". Grass and trees are nice. Surprisingly, didn't come across much litter despite lack of bins

  • Hasalaka Waravita

Very good place and relaxing. Plenty of spaces BBQ places trees. Not crowded. There many places for kids to play. Remeber to take water with you. There are no taps.

  • Jess Telford

Loads of seats & tables spread out around the park at top and bottom. Great for a small gathering, having a walk or even sitting with a laptop to work from "home"!

  • Alicia M

So quiet during the week. Great spot to walk and meditate, there's a kid's park which looks like fun but currently closed due to COVID. Definitely will be back!

  • David Kitchen

Amazing place for spending a great day with family and friends! Whether it be biking,Big and open space, good for picnic/ outing. Ample space for free parking.

  • Bob Lee

Pleasant environment for family bbq. Short historic walks to old man made dam. Has parking, playground and amenities. Average compared to other parks

  • Steven Goss (Mjolnir)

Great park with lots of room, fun nature trails for kids. Good for bikes, not so much for scooters. Toilets are located near the oval at the bottom

  • Su Fei Tan

We have 3 and 6 year old boys. It looked good for walking/biking/scooters but unfortunately the big play ground was closed. We were disappointed.

The BBQ are super clean and ready to cook. The tables and areas very neat and clean. The amenities are good. Very nice peaceful place to go
