My mother, visiting from NS and I went on April 12, 2023 for my birthday. My husband payed for us to have the hydrating manicure/pedicure package. Let me tell you, it was AWFUL!!!!!! Do NOT got here!!!!!!! 2 days later and the polish is already chipping. My mothers, Taiya, was amazing and treated my mom fantastic! My girl, Lena, was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! I left almost in tears, especially since it was my birthday. She barely said 2 words the entire time. Never warned me when putting on the paraffin, which was hot initially, especially with the surprise of it. My mom was given a nice warm towel over her eyes/ face, another girl who was brought into the room 30mins into our appt was also given one, I had nothing. Only 1 coat of polish was done on my nails, leaving it streaky and being able to see parts of my nail. Subsequently chipping 2 days later… the “massage” was a quick what I can only describe as “piano playing” with fingers up and down your half leg and arm/hand twice and was over. I then had an eyebrow wax booked, because I used vit C 5 days prior, she refused to fully wax, only 1 strip under for each eyebrow (apparently it can cause peeling)), yet I was charged the full price…. Then when we went into the reception and we were trying to look around at the products, the receptionist was rushing us. To the point she stood up, leaning over the counter, arm outstretched, holding the debit machine out, saying more than once what the torte was. When we asked for a min to look around, we got an eye roll and sigh, while continuing to stand, arm outstretched, with the debit machine. This was a terrible terrible place and experience. I would NEVER go back and suggest no one else go, considering the prices. This was a waste of a bday gift, and was not a nice relaxing spa day for myself and mother, whom I only get to see for 2 weeks out of a year. We spent over $500 here…. Please, do NOT GO HERE!!!!! Save your money and find somewhere else that actually treats you like a human being. Unless you book everything with Tiaya… she was fantastic and I can’t say enough nice things a about her. She is the only reason our experience was somewhat enjoyable. Avoid Lena at all costs !

I came in for a Signature Pedicure and Leg Treatment. I had phoned ahead of time to find out if guests get complimentary parking and got a dry response from the receptionist that it's run by the Forks so it's meter parking everywhere. I find it odd that the hotel wouldn't have a few spots for guests to park but oh well. I was also greeted by this same receptionist, again not a super warm welcome but just OK. The change room area was very clean but I remember years ago when there were amenities like Qtips, razors etc. all laid out on the counter, but there was nothing this time. Maybe due to COVID. I hung around in the lounge area until my esthetician, Melanie, came to get me. From beginning to end, my treatment with Melanie was phenomenal. The room itself was a bit chilly, but she had brought in a space heater, which was a nice touch. She was meticulous, gentle and friendly. It made for a really nice, relaxing experience. At the end, I headed to the lounge again to get some of the snacks and infused water. I took a few of the snacks and some nuts. Nothing to write home about, unfortunately. The snacks were just OK but the nuts were definitely on the older side, based on texture and the blackened look of the nuts. The infused water was nice and refreshing. I was supposed to stay for 20 minutes to allow for my toes to dry but I couldn't stand to stay the full 20 as there were 2 other ladies speaking full volume in what is supposed to be a calm, quiet lounge area. Overall, my service with Melanie was great and those zero gravity chairs really made all the difference. The lounge snacks could use some improvement, though.

If you plan on sending your very uncomfortable 37-week pregnant significant other to the spa as a chance to relieve some of her discomfort, avoid the Riverstone Spa. Basically the massage experience that is suppose to be catered specifically to pregnant women is just an incredibly overpriced normal massage. There was nothing about the experience that were tailored to help relieve the discomforts of pregnancy. Not only that, but the staff did not seem professionally trained in prenatal massage and my wife had to explain to the staff member how to set up the pillows to make her comfortable. I should have read the reviews beforehand, because my wife also experienced the two common complaints that seem to come up: 1. Other patrons talking loudly in the quiet area and the lack of staff addressing the issue, completely ruining the peaceful, relaxing spa experience. 2. Rude desk receptionist who shrugged off my wife's complaints as "well that's just your preference". My wife also had specifically requested a female therapist and was booked with a male and the staff were not at all apologetic about it and even tried to tell her that she must have made the mistake when she booked the appointment. To summarize my wife's review, if you are looking for prenatal massage or a relaxing way to take your mind off of the stress and discomforts of pregnancy, find somewhere else to go - find a registered massage therapist that actually specializes in prenatal massage and charges a reasonable price. The Mother-to-Be massage at Riverstone Spa is a HUGE waste of money and we will not be going back there.

There were six of in total for a spa day. My mom was treating us. She had a manicure and pedicure, said she liked it. One of my sister's had a deep tissue 50 min massage that was more like 30 mins. She didn't get in the room until about 5 mins after the appt time then had to change her clothes. By the time the massage therapist came back to the room at least 10 mons were gone. She then left the room again to get hot towels. The appt ended at exactly 450pm. I think if it is advertised as a 50 min massage then that is what it should be. My other sister had the Sublime Skin Deluxe Lift. She enjoyed it but did not get everything listed in the treatment - there was no "light application of mineral base and blush makeup". We asked at the front desk, she checked and advised us that it was due to COVID. Three of us got the Customized facial. I certainly did not get 50 mins of time. Wasn't taken to the room until 410pm and was finished at exactly 450pm. Don't get me wrong, loved the facial but for the amount of money being paid, I did not think it was worth it. The other thing was when were shown to the lounge area, they said help your self to water but there wasn't any water to be found. Just found that the spa did not live up to its reputation and it was nothing special. I probably won't go back.

Was surprised by my boyfriend for valentines. I thought it was a very nice place and the massage was very nice Itself (well it lasted, it was short lived!) however we were completely rushed and it did not feel relaxing at all! We were basically asked prior to massage what we wanted more of body scrub or massage Because they were closing..... like really? This place is expensive to begin with.then we were told they closing so we had to come back the next day to enjoy the other amenities, how would someone feel relaxed people want to enjoy that before or after a massage. Honestly we live hectic and busy lives we came here to relax from that and didn’t feel or get that at all. I emailed the manager (which I still have the emails) She was advising her thoughts and that she would speak with her staff but she was sorry to hear that. I responded to her email and thanked her for acknowledging but I wasn’t sure if I would return or refer them, never got a response to that. I was not looking for anything in return but the sad part was for a place like this they offered nothing. Honestly can’t say I would refer after this experience. It’s not about getting anything in return its about customer service!

I went to the Riverstone Spa for a massage and enjoyed it. The massage therapist was very professional and the massage I had was good. The changing rooms are nice and spacious and there are lockers you can use to store your clothes etc. They have nice robes and sandals that you can use, as well as plenty of towels. The shower is massive with jets on the walls and ceiling. Soap and shampoo etc are provided via a dispenser in the shower. The heated bench in the shower room is a very nice touch. I didn't go in the steam room because it smelled a bit musty. It would have been nice for couples to use the steam room together but it appeared that it was only accessible from the ladies room. Presumably the men's room has their own too. There was a nice assortment of drinks and snacks in the lounging area, as well as lots of comfy seating and magazines. I wouldn't spend a day here (or even half a day) but I would happily go for a massage again!

I had such a wonderful pedicure the 1st time I went. So I bought a gift card so that I could always come to you every time. The first time was December 2021. It was great. Then I went again in March 2022. Unfortunately, I got some kind of toenail fungus that and I haven't been able to get rid of it. Both my big toes are a total disgrace, I wasn't able to wear sandals all summer an d it looks as though I'll be having the same problem again this summer. What can I do to get rid of it?-I've gotten a prescription (Jublia) from my Doctor but am still struggling with it. I thought that your establishment was pretty safe. I'm not a user of any swimming pools, hot tubs or gyms, & not a traveler going to other countries. So I'm very disappointed with my experience and I don't know what other services I could use to make use of my gift card.

If you’ve never had a $125 massage performed with gloves on… let me tell you… it’s not enjoyable. My friend had the same service and it was a totally different experience after we compared, certain parts of my service were skipped. The spa itself is really nice and loved the snacks. But the friction of the gloves for a full body massage was very uncomfortable. I don’t treat myself often, so it was a bit of a letdown. UPDATE: I did mention it to the manager who agreed that it should have been mentioned before my service that the person performing my service wanted to wear gloves due to covid. They only offered me 25% off a future service. But I would not spend more money there.

I've had issues with their facials and their massages. I have complained but nothing has ever really come from it. Now I avoid them if that's what I'm looking for. Their pedicures have been great though, so that is the only thing I come here for now. The amenities are some of the best, but if you are a couple you will be separated. In Winnipeg that's pretty normal. It's often better to do a girls day for that reason instead of a couple's thing. There's more to enjoy together. They have a great sitting area with nice variety of snacks. There is a sauna, Steam room and an over head shower. Pro tip: they have one shower in the womens room that has showers from the side too.

Had a brow shape, tint and last tint. The aesthetician waxed my brows which I didn’t want done. Anyway she was part way through and asked if I used retinol I said yes. And she was like oh we shouldn’t have waxed… I knew something was wrong. My eyes are sore and swollen. This was supposed to be my birthday gift. I had to cancel my dinner plans. This was the worst experience ever, I felt so embarrassed leaving there. Thank goodness I had a toque which I pulled down over my eye brows to hide the burns but it hurt like heck. I do not recommend. I can’t sleep cause I’m stressed about going to work. I’m attaching a photo. This is 12 hours later.

  • Lina Gates

my daughter talked me into a facial a couple years ago and the girl waxed my eyebrows... she burned my skin... and then covered it up with makeup so i wouldn’t see it... of course it hurt but i had never had a waxing before... when i got back to our room... my girls were surprised they even put anything on my face after a cleansing.. i was really hurting by then so washed my face and saw the angry red burn... went back to show them at the spa... i was offered 25 dollars towards my next visit... lol... we have never been back since and i have a scar that reminds me of it..the reason i am writing this now... i got a promotional email...

  • N Rodgers

It was an ok atmosphere. The massage therapist I had was great! But I actually enjoyed it there before they did their renovations. For the price you pay you don't get a lot. Their choices for snacks got very limited. They furniture isn't all that comfortable, it's set up to get you in and out. The change rooms should consider spray deodrant for people who forget to bring some and they should have PUMP shampoo and conditioner bottles. Not very sanitary when you use the ones they have and there's hair all over it. Also having bottled water for an option may be a good idea for people who don't like flavoured water.

Purchased a gift certificate for my wife on line with my Visa. Received order number and confirmation number. My wife attended the spa 2 weeks later for her appointment. Asked the receptionist if she required the confirmation number and was told no. She then proceeded to charge the spa treatment on my credit card again. Checked my credit card statement a few days later and found that I had been charged twice. Called the hotel to check why I was charged twice and had nothing but a run around trying to get my money refunded. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND SPA!!!!

  • Teresa N.

Just had a 50 minute full body relaxation massage at Riverstone. I was first greeted by professional and positive staff at reception and given water (thank you)! Next, I was lead through the gorgeous and serene spa by Sheran, my masseuse. This was 100% the best massage I’ve ever had. Sheran was professional and very skilled but she also used a combination of hot towels and mint oil that made me leave feeling like I was walking on a cloud. If you want to leave feeling like you can conquer the world, go see Sheran at Riverstone. You won’t be disappointed!

  • Carrie-Lynn Collard-Vivier

My aesthetician called in sick the day I was scheduled for my full body treatment. They phoned me and asked if I would like to come in earlier. I said it wouldn't work since that was before my check in time to the hotel. They communicated with the hotel and got me an earlier check in! I really appreciated that! And the service I received was terrific!! I felt totally relaxed, refreshed, and overall, respected. I will be telling all my friends about the great service I had! Too bad I can't remember the name of the aesthetician, she was lovely!

  • Shari Williamson

The facilities are nice, well maintained and clean. The prices are very high and while the services are good, they are not worth the premium price. They do not offer shellac for mani/pedi so the polish doesn't last long. I also received cuts on three of my toes from the pedicure (near the nail bed, likely from over cutting cuticles) which has not happened from other places. The massage was nice but they do body scrub, paraffin application, and hot towels during the massage so it is very broken up and you can't really fully relax.

  • Wendy Crocker

Very disappointed at last visit. Took a friend and her service was not very good. The lady was doing my friends feet and scrubbed her foot so much she had a open sore and had difficulty walking a few days after. Also her finger nail polish started coming off after only having her manicure for a week. So my friend called to complain and all they said was next time you come we will book you with someone different. Wow I spent $400.00 on our service's that day. That relpy is not going to make me rush back there .aanytime soon.a

  • Isabella Louise Castro

My husband and I have been coming here for many years now and it's been consistent. I love that I can enjoy the amenities as long as I want, included with any service booked. The staff here are polite and very accomodating. Great variety of snacks and beverage choices. Always clean, quiet and great ambience. My husband and I both had massages today, it was excellent. We will keep coming back and definitely a place you need to try, if you haven't yet. I recommend to pre-book your massages as they book up fast.

  • Dawn Anderson

Horrible experience … other than the zero gravity chairs, which are amazing, this place is 100% “miss it” and go somewhere else. My pedicure resulted in too-short nails and not the colour I asked for … now I have ingrowns on two toes. The technician did not know how to remove my gel polish, complained about it, then advised me against any replacement of shellak polish … leaving my nails dry and now breaking and splitting like crazy. Nope. This was a $300 nap in a zero gravity chair … not worth it. Next …

  • kate M.

Love the signature experience, exactly what I was looking for! The head massage is my favorite. My massage therapist Winnie ( I hope I spelled it right) is very knowledgeable, well experienced and it's so comforting to be under her care. Very relaxing. the staffs are very friendly and professional, they accommodated us right away when we needed to change our schedule, excellent communication. The ambience overall draws you in to have that wonderful experience.. loved it!

  • Betty Druxman

Riverstone is my go to place when I want a small, quiet, intimate setting. The staff are always lovely and the facility is clean. The snacks are a little lacking and the women's change room doesn't even offer the most basic items like hair elastics, cotton swabs, or lotion (which you definitely need after the saunas). The shower stalls are luxurious though the hair products may not be for everyone. It left my hair flat and oily. The dry and wet saunas are nice features.

  • Samantajung

I have been to this spa a few times for facials. I can honestly say, this is my favorite spa for services. Places like Thermea are good for lounge spaces etc but their services don’t compare. I always feel so relaxed after. I definitely prefer Riverstone over Thermea. Highly recommend. I also lost my gold bracelet while I was there the last time and they found it after checking for me. Truly such an honest place they clearly demonstrated integrity. Thank you so much. Xx

  • Melissa Sharp

Schedule a signature facial with therapist Mel. 10/10 recommend! The environment and amenities were clean and safe with covid protocols still in place. Love the steam room & sauna. The facial was amazing with hot stone massage. Last time I had was 5 years ago and still amazing. She was so personable, knowledgeable and made the experience for a self care day a total zen experience. My skins glowing and feels so detoxed! I highly recommend her and the facial! 5 stars!

  • Tanis Doyle

THEY CHARGED ME $140 FOR A SERVICE I NEVER RECEIVED!!!! I would rate them a 0 if that were an option. Absolutely horrible service. I had booked a massage for a Wednesday and they booked me In on Tuesday then proceeded to charge me a no show fee. And when I tried to get more information from the employees they gave me the runaround telling me they’d call me back and not one of them ended up ever returning my phone calls. The spa manager was especially unhelpful.

  • MIssy

I was here a year ago and loved it. This time the receptionist asked me to call back when I had decided what I wanted instead of helping me decide. I don't know if it was the same person at the desk but when I checked in she said. "You've been here before - go on back." I had only been there once and a little refresher would have been nice. It was no big deal but you go to a spa for special treatment not to be brushed off and figure it out for yourself.

  • Alison O'Toole (Best Winnipeg REALTOR)

It was a lovely 1.5 hours. Robe, cucumber water, shower and very small steam room. Luckily no one else was using it. Change rooms a bit small. I had a pedicure with paraffin wax and leg massage. The massage could have been more indepth for the cost of the service, including the light salt scrub and couple minute stone rub. Pedicure itself looks amazing with polish " on point". Overall very happy but was hoping for just a bit more.

  • Pamela Bechta Kok

I had a hot stone massage from Amanda Cullen, and she was amazing; I would give her a 5 star rating. This is the 2nd time I have been to Riverstone Spa for a hot stone massage, and it never disappoints. The only reason that I didn't give the Riverstone Spa a 5 star rating is the fact that their river water feature wasn't working, and their showers towel rack in the shower wasn't maintained and was falling off the wall.

  • Citrix Temenos

Aweful service from Frontdesk staff. I booked an appointment for a friend on behalf of Leah. I had to spell 3 times her name and last name. She called her and ask for Mia. Of course Leah said it is an error. Then after the massage they charged on the blue cross on behalf of Neah when I was spelling 3 times her name. Quality not aligned with the standards of such an hotel.

  • Dorota Hall

I have had good massages by 3 different RMT here, the staff are very professional and make you feel relaxed and welcomes. They could do better with their snack selection. The chairs they have in the waiting room are not comfortable which is why I am giving them the rating I am. I also agree that they should have pump shampoo and conditioner as someone on here mentioned.

  • ShinKoji

DO NOT BUY THEIR SKINCARE PRODUCTS. The spa is amazing and all but their skincare products are horrible. I asked for a product that was meant for sensitive skin, they recommended me one that irritated and inflamed my face even more than usual irritants. Their products contain Alcohol ingredients which are very bad for your face. Again, do not buy their skincare!!

  • Suzanne

Not the relaxing atmosphere I expected big disappointment. They should change the rules to talking instead of quiet zone in the lounge area if the staff wont do their job monitoring it. I went to relax not to listen to people laugh and talk out loud. Also why serve bruschetta when all you hear is crunch crunch. Big disappointment.

  • Karley Barnard

Giving 5 stars specifically for the massage therapist I had, Winnie, who gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. She helped me with a stubborn tight neck muscle that I’ve been trying to resolve for years, then took the time afterwards to show me some stretches to continue to feel better. Would highly recommend Winnie’s services!

  • MK

Reception area is nice with a place to sit to take off shoes/boots and hang coats. The body polish was not as exfoliating as I expected and not your entire body is done(chest to upper thighs/buttocks not touched). Not worth the price. Much better body scrub at Urban Oasis and they give a decent massage as part of the treatment.

  • Rachel Hastman

The Riverstone spa was a nice experience. Positives were there had a nice steam room, rainfall shower & nice coffee. Negatives were the snacks were lackluster.. stale crackers, dried fruit, the cheese was good, but not very refreshing. The massage was ok & same with the facial. For the price I'd expect a little more.

  • Ryan Bialek

I want to give more stars, but since the renovations about 5 or 6 years ago, The Riverstone is consistently "ok". Some of the good therapists have left, the physical spaces and lockers need some TLC, and the snack quality is lacking a bit. Pricing is still fair, and it's never been easier to make a reservation here.

  • Miriam Loewen

Beautiful spa and exceeded all my expectations. Had a wonderful facial and left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. Love the amenities and all the snacks and tea they provide. Had a nice time relaxing in the quiet area after my facial and took advantage of the sauna before. Can’t wait for my next visit!

  • Dimitris Protsios

We had a beautiful and relaxing day at the spa. Extremely clean and quite with all the necessary amenities. The massage therapist was very good and the massage treatment awesome. We will definitely visit again and again...... I forgot to mention that they do have great snacks with no cost at all.

  • Lori Houston

Worst pedicure I have had. The dry skin was not taken off. Toenails cut crooked. Not cleaned underneath the toe nails. The entire 80 minutes was frustrating. The local chop shop can do a way better pedicure for 20.00. The manager took 50% off so I came to 50.00. Totally not worth that! Brutal...

  • UkieSasquatch

Absolutely love this place. The sauna, steam and changeroom are spacious. Snacks and beverages offeree prior and post session are nice. No rushing. Just a chill experience right when you walk in to when you leave. Massage therapy is high quality....you WILL fall asleep. Go there and enjoy.

  • angela forbes

Today the facial was amazing. Loved it. But yesterday the 11th had a body treatment I felt rushed, the lady cleaned and it was loud, I really didnt relaxed. I wont do a body treatment again. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because today my facial was amazing.

  • Amanda Legris

I absolutely love this place! The staff are always friendly, the facilities are always clean, and their shower selection in the change rooms is so serious, some days I could spend all my time in their shower alone. Could not recommend this place enough.

  • Sidney Shapira

Riverstone offers couples' massages with RMTS in lovely, cozy couples' rooms. We even have different massage styles which is not allowed in other places. The lounge area could be bigger and the snacks are not as good as when Riverstone first opened.

  • Maria Broqueza

Worst customer service. I booked ahead of time twice and they called me to cancel the appoitment because they dont have available people that time. Its twice happened to me and i will never go back there and i will not recommend this to anyone.

  • Suzical

Top Wpg Fave. Massages brilliant. Atmosphere lovely. Reclining chairs for deluxe mani...pedi....swoon. Pricey but worth the money. Have been here several times. IaF sublime for staycations. I live in Wpg. …

  • melanie s

Pedicure- nail cut way to short- skin nicked- painful. Cuticles were not done great - not impressed for the most expensive pedicure ever. Wish I can post a photo!! Do not recommend. Been to better places even 80% less expensive.

  • Christine Ens

A lovely place to escape the busyness of day-to-day. Robes are required and are available in bigger sizes. Kind and courteous staff. Missing one star in my review as the price (value) for a massage seemed exceptionally high.

  • Hartesse Estiva

I went here for a facial. It's a nice place to just relax. They don't do over the top extraction which is good because it doesn't make your face red after the service. And they do makeup after the facial as well.

  • Bonnie Dalman

Very relaxing with a lot of spa treatments available. Staff from the front desk and back all pleasant! Well laid out and welcoming. We were there for just over three hours Mani/pedi with parrafin wax treatments ❣

  • Terry Robinson

Was my first ever massage. Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and facilities. The massage therapist was awesome. Sometimes thank-you doesn't cover the relief provided. I would absolutely recommend and I will return.

  • C A

Excellent experience. The steam was a perfect temp (and not busy, on the men’s side). The Nespresso was tasty. Then, a super relaxing 80min body treatment with therapist Christine M. Highly recommended.

  • S. Rebizant

Lovely relaxing pedicure in a serene inviting environment but they need to put a more substantial coat of nail polish on and a decent top coat. Very sparse polish application IMO for the price one pays.

  • Jill Palitsky

If you pay for a 50min massage you should get 50min but that’s not the case at Riverstone. Discussing your treatment, changing and any extras (paraffin etc) come out of your time. I won’t be returning.

  • Nege Lister

I've been there a handful of times now and they've all been positive. The sauna is very relaxing, the lounge is very comfortable, and all massage therapists I've had have been great.

  • June Music

Worst Massage of my life and I've had many! I felt worse than when I went in and for the price would have expected it to be better. Won't be going back or recommending! …

  • Vanessa Boughen

Massage was great! Some people do not respect the quiet zone. Change room is way too hot and humid to get ready in, literally could not blowdry my hair it was that humid in there.

  • Dr. Heather Cardona, HD

Wonderful experience! Great service, treatment was fabulous. They carry a lot of good products that are locally sourced, natural, and organic. I was very impressed!

  • Kimberly Laing

My fave spa! The hot stone massage is incredible and the Pedicure is next level amazing. Make sure you go early to enjoy the spa amenities before your appointment.

  • Dallas Disney

Nice relaxing spa, with great services. One of my go to spas, not shared with public areas of the hotel, so the entire relax spa experience.

  • Bob Davies

One of the best pedicure/spas in Winnipeg. The zero gravity chairs are worth the trip. Spa amenities are also excellent. Good value.

  • Jazz Lee

Had an excellent massage session with Adrielle. The massage was great and the steam shower is heaven! I will definitely be back!

  • Mel Motoch

Great experience. I wish I arrived earlier to use the stream and sauna. My body scrub and facial was customized and worth it.

  • Sandy Hopkins

My wife and I have been clients at Riverstone for years. They never disappoint - skilled staff, wonderful ambience.

  • KA R

Just love all if it, from overall ambiance, to shower, steam bath, massage rooms to the masseuse themselves!

  • Tyne Goran

Service was great, nice and clean but for the price I believe they should validate parking.
