My experience with Rick and the services he provide were top notch! I took my 20 year bike in to have a steering fork replaced. I had purchased the bike at another bike dealership and always had tune ups and repairs done by them. Unfortunately they did not have a steering fork for my bike in stock and had no idea when they could get one. I really didn’t want to scrap my bike so I called Rick. I took the bike in and he was able to replace the fork and suggest other repairs to extend the life of my bike. He was very informative telling me things that I now know that I have to do to keep my bike in shape. All the parts he replaced he went over with me in detail of why he replaced them. Every part he removed from my bike he kept to show me! I was so impressed with his knowledge and the care he put into making sure I understood why each part was replaced. I really didn’t want to purchase a new bike and now I don’t have to. Rick said I will have many more years of riding on this bike. I set a budget for repairs and the total came in $1.00 above my budget. I will be recommending Rick to everyone I know who needs bike repairs. Thanks Rick for reviving my old girl!!

We were vacationing in Gananoque (making use of the Waterfront Trail amongst other activities) for a few days when I blew a rear tire on my bicycle. Arrived at Rick's Bike Repair the next morning unannounced to see if I could get the tire / tube replaced. (I wanted to get in a couple more rides before heading home.) While Rick was completely backed up with days of work, he willingly fit my bike in and had me back on the road by the end of the day. I was back out that evening for a 25 km ride. Rick also took the time to make a couple of very helpful adjustments to my rear brakes and gear shifter while replacing the rear tire / tube. Incredible service at a very reasonable price from a very customer focused gentleman. I just wish we lived closer to Kingston so we could become regular customers. I cannot say enough good things about Rick, his knowledge, his skills, and his outstanding customer service.

I am an average joe cycler who was on the hunt for a road bike. Rick's was recommended to me by several more advanced cyclists, so I went on his website and followed links to find out about the types of bikes that he carries. I took my trail bike in to get a part added and he was both knowledgeable and helpful, even making a few adjustments on the bike itself that really helped. I ended up buying a FELT road bike and Rick has spent time watching me ride, making adjustments, fitting the bike and helping me understand how it works. He was patient and did not make me feel like I was wasting his time, even though I'm sure he has heard the same questions a hundred times! I'm looking forward to lots more cycling and I am happy to have 'found' Rick's shop.

Rick saved my family vacation. My son's Felt F24 road bike was damaged in a collision en route to a family vacation in Mont Tremblant. I was fortunate to find Rick, the only Felt dealer between Toronto and Ottawa. When I called to explain my problem - a bent derailleur - he immediately assured me he could take care of it, and sure enough, he had the part in stock and within 30 minutes the bike was fixed and my son could enjoy his bike during our family vacation. World class customer service and highly competent repair job, Rick is the man. I also saw a nice selection of Felt performance road bikes, if I was in the market for a new bike I would go to him in a minute. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thanks Rick!

Been going into see Rick for a couple of years now, MTB’s from Specialized, Trek and Giant bikes, he knows them all. Always great service and advice! Rick does impeccable work and quickly too I might add! He was patient after about a year and a half of me tire kicking on a new trail bike, in the end he was able to quickly obtain a thing of beauty, the new weapon on the trail, a stealthy Devinci Kobain! Again impeccably assembled and fitted. Customer loyalty is a hard thing to build, Rick has mine and it’s not going anywhere soon! Well done Rick! You have one more happy customer!

Refused to even look at my E-Bike. Bent my front brake rotor and apparently it can’t be fixed or looked at because taking the front tire off is someone how going to wreck the motor? Makes zero sense! Taking the front wheel off and replacing the brake rotor does absolutely no harm to the bike or motor. Weird that a professional is afraid that they’re going to completely destroy my bike doing something that can be done on ANY bike. I have a disability which is why I have an E-Bike. Looks like I just can’t ride now! Thanks for the help!

I just had an amazing, personalized shopping experience at Rick's Bike Repair. Let me tell you, this is the way to buy bikes and cycling accessories. I had the full shop to myself and Rick was with me the whole time. That guy has too much bike knowledge for one brain to contain and it was just spilling out all over place. I learned so much, and I was able to make a confident informed choice. Going to be in Rick's peloton for years to come. Thanks Rick!

Hi took his time to go over my bike, which I appreciate, but, as others pointed, said that it was not worth it fixing because it’s from a big-box store. He refused to fix it saying it was not worth it the money or his time. Well, this is the bike I can afford and it’s my daily commute, I’m not one of those that have spare money to spend on expensive bikes. It broke my heart that I couldn’t ride my bike anymore.

The first thing you realize when you start talking to Rick is how much he loves bicycles - all bicycles: road, mountain, commuter, touring, etc. He will take extraordinary care to make sure that you are getting the right bike for you and the cycling you want to do. When servicing, he treats every bike like it's his own. Favourite bike shop by far.

Dropped into Rick's to have a look at the new Felt fat bike. Rick was terrific: knowledgable, enthusiastic and accommodating. The next day he set up a bike that i test rode, and he actually made a video of me riding it so that he could point out the aspects of the bike that fit and didn't fit. Great bikes, excellent service, highly recommended!

Rick's bike shop offers excellent service, expert knowledge and advice, very strong dedication to customer satisfaction, and also great prices. Rick is PASSIONATE; not only can you feel that as soon as you enter his store, but you benefit from it because he truly wants to help you enjoy cycling as much as he does. Thanks for all your help.

just wanted a tube replaced on my bike that I ride with the kids.... was told that the cheap bikes aren't worth the fix... yet on his website it says repairs all bikes.... I don't need an expensive bike just to have fun with my kids... yes it is 6 years old but in great condition and the tire popped on a ride last weekend...

Just got back from testing Rick's work on my Cannondale SRA dual-suspension MTB. Major repairs and replacements to brakes, shocks, tune-up. My first experience with Rick. The ride was divine and it was to smile. I am a duathloner, triathlete and veteran mountain-biker. In my experience, Rick is good. Highly recommended.

GREAT PLACE AND GREAT PEOPLE. was recommended this shop after having a horrible experience with another local bike shop. These guys are great. Rick and Bob are both super knowledgeable and go out of their way to help out a fellow rider. Excellent people to deal with. Would definitely go back to them in a heart beat.

Was looking for a break leaver for a cheap used kids bike I picked up, quickly I was told he doesn't carry cheap parts & but he'll sell me a metal set for $35 ,, Sometimes cheaper is better, I'd rather a plastic leaver snap in a accident than a metal one that could injure someone learning to ride,

Rick is a great guy. Very friendly and full of life. He knows his stuff with bikes and is happy to provide you with advice. It's good advice to boot. Plenty of people will say anything to make a sale but not Rick. He genuinely cares about his customer and doing what is right for them.
