Visiting Quebec for work, and the one thing on my must-do list was to make it to Poutineville. I tried them in Montreal, and was really looking forward to having their Poutineville special again. I was not disappointed! It was just as good as I remembered. They even put little garnish on our pop. (It's the little things) For those who want lighter Keto options, they now have celeriac potatoes. They were actually really tasty! This is a cute location, with options to sit by big bright windows, or in a tucked away corner. It was quiet and cozy when we went: the perfect atmosphere we were looking for. Our server was very pleasant, and helpful answering any questions we had (I was there with a friend who had never been). We had a great lunch, and may try to make it back before we have to leave to head back home!

It was my first visit to the restaurant. The food was good, but the service was terrible. We had a very unpleasant experience. We were seated and waited to order food. The server didn't even acknowledge us. When our food arrived, she didn't provide cutlery, and we waited for 15 minutes to enjoy our poutine. Other diners at nearby tables noticed our dilemma. We also waited 20 minutes for our bill. My family grew impatient, and we just wanted to leave. It was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had, and I won't consider returning. While I usually tip generously to appreciate service, this time, we didn't leave a tip. We're sorry for that, but we don't regret it. Edit: we arrived the restaurant at 4:04pm. No problem. We wanted to inform you to ensure a better experience for future customers.

We're from California, and this is my first visit to Quebec City and this restaurant. To start, the food was good. I ordered a submarine sandwich when we came here on Monday. However, the service was poor, and we came to the restaurant hoping to have a pleasant time with our family. The server who attended to us barely acknowledged us when we tried to inquire about the menu. It was clear that they were more focused on other tables. Another server brought our food but forgot to provide cutlery. We waited for a long time, and eventually, one of us had to approach the server and request cutlery. This was the worst dining experience we've ever had. We deeply regretted our decision to dine here, as we just wanted to leave. During our three-day stay in Montreal and Quebec, the other hotels provided excellent food and friendly service, making our overall experience enjoyable.

I walked in towards end of service but it was still jam packed with customers! Staff located a table and bussed it quickly for me. I asked him to suprise me with the poutine and was served the Sugar Shack. Curds were generous and squeaky, tons of meat and the hint of maple syrup was perfect, though I did add some tobacco. Dessert was a Chocolate Lava cake, it was almost too much with the poutine but was so warm, chocolatelyband gooey I figured it would be a waste to leave any behind. Staff were efficient and constantly on the move, and a few of them would burst into song. A free mini show with dinner is fine with me! My server was super personable and I appreciated his recommendations.

When in Quebec, you must poutine, and this place is fantastic. As it was my first time here, I had the signature Poutineville (pictured), but in addition to a full selection of traditional meat/cheese curd/fries poutines, you can create your own from a number if ingredients, or ask for the submenu of Poutines of the World and be surprised by just how versatile this dish is. We drove by and was so happy it’s in walking distance to our hotel! Every time we walk by, it is very very busy. The place itself is so cute. Our waiter was very kind. The poutine was delicious. My husband got the hat trick one and made it spicy. I wish I would’ve gotten poutine but I opted for a chicken sandwich and it’s just okay. Think it’s frozen chicken. Will definitely be back though! Oh and the appetizer sampler was pretty cool. We just got full after it and couldn’t finish the poutine. :(

I ordered the general tao poutine and it was alright. I think the quantity of chicken was low, and the sauce was a bit salty. Expect to pay $20+ per poutine, with all the works on it. The service was excellent (spoke English), and helped us with all the different options. I would try another type of poutine, as General Tao wasn't good. Their regular gravy is vegetarian (meat free), however, you can ask for meat gravy as well.

My very first poutine in Quebec City. Had the poutineville house special. LOVE the home fries, the gravy had an amazing flavour, the braised beef melt in your mouth. And the curds squeaky as they should be. I will definitely be back, thank you for a great experience and for the young lads speaking English to me. (I find it very hard to order in Quebec knowing very very little French. When somebody tries to speak English even the slightest it is a HUGE help to me. I would never judge you for poor English because it is such a game changer for me. Thank you so much)

The only thing I didn't like was when the server gave us the bill and we tipped, he did not like the amount we tipped and lectured us as to how they get paid below minimum wage and rely solely on tip. Had to do another transaction for 1 cent and add tips on top to satisfy the server. I centainly do not want to be lectured on the tipping culture after I had already tipped. management should look into this.

I went this weekend and the service was very fast, the place was clean and nice, the server was nice and friendly, the food was delicious, I bought the big poutine and it came in a very generous portion. (I recommend buying the small one cause the big one is a lot) and I bought a pitcher of sangria. Everything poutine - we had the Mexican and Philly steak. Regular size is more than sufficient… too much and it gets too heaty. Drink lots of water.
