Wow! I very seldomly leave reviews but felt the need to review Birdhouse. I pass by this place almost everyday and have heard great things about it. Sometimes as the old saying goes, why fix what’s not broken, we tend to stick to our regular spots as we know what to expect and don’t walk away disappointed and feeling cheated out of spending money and not enjoying our dinner like has happened on many occasions from other restos. Last Saturday, I decided, to surprise my wife and take her here for dinner after she finished work as she had been mentioning she would like to go for some time. Let me say, we were not disappointed in the slightest. In fact, we can’t wait to come back. We tried the maple heat wings which were sweet as you’d expect when ordering something that has maple syrup. I personally didn’t taste much spice but spice hits different people different ways and I’m used to spicy where as my wife isn’t. I will however be ordering the Dr. Evil wings next time, for myself. My wife ordered the fish tacos and myself the Buffalo Mac N Cheese and both dishes were AMAZING. My son wasn't with us on this occasion but I made sure to let him know how good the Mac n cheese was and he can’t wait to try it. The drinks were good also. All in all, a great spot to eat and will definitely be amongst the regular diners we frequent. From top to bottom, we were extremely happy with the experience and can’t wait to come back for more

We came here on a Sunday night for a quick snack after the movies It seemed like the owner was the one that greeted us, very nice and friendly. We love it when the owner is involved in there business and working, definitely give him props for that We sat at the bar, the girl that took our order was nice and friendly as well They have a very big menu different types of wings and all The restaurant is quick small so I guess that during peak hours this place would be packed. Really like the placement of the restaurant. Loved that they played oldies songs and the music videos of the songs were being played on the tv screen. We each for a glass of wine, I got the white house wine which was good for a house wine We shared the Osso bucco poutine, the buffalo wings and a side of coleslaw. The poutine was very good and for the price 13$, I could definitely get it again, the sauce was different then just a regular poutine and there was piece of the Osso bucco. The wings were nicely coated with sauce and meaty, which I loved. The coleslaw side that we took was actually a pretty big portion which we loved aswell because usually when it comes to sides the portions are very small. I would definitely come back here again and to try other things on the menu and the different types of wings. I really loved the atmosphere and I felt like the employees made us very comfortable to be around. I don't have anything negative to say about this place, definitely a must try

Really impressed with my experience here. My waitress was super-friendly and welcoming. When I told her I was vegan, she instantly pointed out all the vegan dishes on the menu (which are labelled with a V symbol), and brought out a list of the allergens in each dish. The vegan fried chicken burger was amazing! Some of the best-tasting and most realistic vegan fried chicken I've ever had. It came with a very generous serving of tater tots, which were hot and crispy. Other vegan options include the cauliflower tacos and the cauliflower wings (with a wide selection of sauces to choose from). I'd love to try those next time. The cocktails were beautifully crafted and delicious too. I especially enjoyed their winter cocktail menu - we tried the Winter Cosmo and Gran Prosecco. Reasonable prices. Cozy ambiance. It can get busy on the weekend, so I would recommend reserving a table.

For once, a solid bar and grill that has a wide variety of good options at a fair price! It was my first time here, and immediately upon entering, the vibes were immaculate. Greeted and seated promptly and with a smile. Atmosphere of the restaurant was great for the group that I came with, loved the music and the fact that the music videos were on display. Drinks were solid, food was delicious. Genuinely, there were so many options it was hard to settle on what to order. Some of the tantalizing descriptions of the dishes were seemingly long at first, but once u finished reading all of it was I like "damn, yeah I might get that" I personally had the fish tacos and classic poutine, had a little bite of other people's food aswell and it was all yummy. Like I mentioned earlier, now a days it's hard to find a place where I can order a meal and a drink and it stays under 30$. Overall, for the experience, the price and quality of food, I would recommend this hidden gem in the west island to anyone! Also, always nice to see the manager out and about on the dinning floor greeting guests and making connections

Okay so i almost never write reviews for anything but this place absolutely deserves it. -the service from literally everyone was impeccable. Our waitress was so patient and friendly and HUMAN. Even the manager came to see us on multiple occasions to make sure we were enjoying ourselves (even got our entire table shots for my birthday, my birthday was mentioned once and it was not forgotten by anyone which really shows how much they care here) -the food at this place was f****** unbelievable, the best damn chicken wings i have ever eaten by far and prices were affordable. -the atmosphere was incredible, good music and the decor was awesome. To the entire team at birdhouse, thank you for making my birthday unforgettable, i will without a doubt be coming back and i cannot wait.

From the reservation to leaving, it was great service. I reserved for 10 people and I was asked if it was for a special occasion. When I arrived, the hostess asked if I live in the West Island. I don't remember is she asked if it was my first time there or if I told her for her to ask. Service was great, they knew what everyone had ordered, didn't just show up at the table and ask who ordered what. Which seems to be a new standard in other places. One person didn't like their food and it was really well taken care of. Even the manager came to see her and apologized and wanted to know what she didn't like about it to make sure it was fixed. The food was plentiful, most didn't finish their plate. It was my first time there but definitely not the last time. I just got off the phone with a friend and he's hungry again just hearing about my experience.

Vegans would love it here!! There are so many vegan options even though it is mainly a meat restaurant. My boyfriend and his brother had the chicken wings and they found them ultra greasy and salty, but then they had a chicken burger and they said it was super delicious. As a vegan i had the cauliflower wings (super yummy) and a vegan fried chicken burger. This was okay. I found that the vegan fried chicken was sub-par compared to many other vegan chicken alternatives ive had. In my opinion the VFC was waaayyy too big for the size of the sandwich so it made the flavour less tasty of the overall burger. The atmosphere was AMAZINGGG though so overally id give this a 4/5 rating!

Service was amazing. Super friendly and fast. The wing on the bloody Caesar is possibly the best wing I've ever eaten in my life. Overall the food is quite good. The fried chicken was crispy (possibly a bit overdone since the skin/batter came off like a shell) but the chicken was moist and delicious. Fries were fresh and delicious. The pretzel that comes with the pickle dip is also incredible. Where this place loses a bit of points for me is the atmosphere. It's incredibly loud - you have to raise your voice quite a bit to talk to the person next to you. Maybe lower the music and remember people want to talk when sharing a meal.

We came here with friends who are regular diners and it did not disappoint. The menu had plenty of options to choose from and our table ordered a broad range of items so it was cool to see and hear from everyone how they enjoyed their meal. The place has a really cool vibe and we were enjoying watching the music videos that were playing on the giant tv. The music was a tad loud so it was hard to hear the whole table, but it may have been the time and day we went (Friday, dinner) Service was great, food came out pretty quickly and everything I had was delicious. The food was very good. At our table, we ordered wings, 2x 3 piece chicken dinners as well as the Buffalo chicken tacos and a side of sweet potato fries. The portions were very well sized for the value. This was our first time there. The chicken was appropriately crispy and not oily. I think the next time we will agree on a few items and share them with the table. We sat on the right-hand side of the restaurant and there was a gigantic TV, the size of the wall as much as it was impressive, it was very distracting and the lighting from the TV images was strange as we were almost sitting under it. If you are there to watch a game and eat, perfect! But if you are going with friends or family and not interested in the game, slightly annoying. Overall, we liked the place and would go back!

First time at Birdhouse tonight and it did not disappoint! Amazing service, our server, Chelsea, was so kind. The wings were a little hot for me and she immediately offered to change them but I toughed it out with some milk because they were so tasty! Sweet potatoe fries were crispy on the outside and velvety on the inside, paired with an amazing sauce. Also they weren't too salty, I appreciated that -also ordered wine. Finished off with a delectable pecan pie. Prices were fair considering the exorbitant eating out ticket lately. The atmosphere was also great, fun nostalgic tunes, and the large screen displaying music videos reminded me of good old times at Shed Café! Totally going back on a Saturday night to check out the vibes. Definitely a repeat customer here.

Went for dinner for a friend’s birthday and couldn’t be happier and satisfied with coming here. Food was delicious. Simple recipes with creative twists and nice flavour. Drinks were nice. The beers with their foam printer was pretty awesome. Never seen that before. Very fun. Atmosphere was cool. They played throwback early 2000s hits, so needless to say I was jamming out in my seat. Service was good and waiter and manager were considerate, friendly and made sure to check in with us. We watched a brave soul at our table order the Dragon’s Breath wings, then proceed to rock back and forth in a hallucinatory trance for the next hour. Maybe order a milkshake or 5 with them to cut the heat a little. Otherwise, very decent food. Our wings were a little on the overcooked side - drumette pieces a bit tough - but the sauces, especially the cherry cola one were quite good. Fried chicken dinner was excellent! Very crispy batter and nice sweet and tangy sauce on the side.

Highly disappointing experience. We are a company who decided to do the team lunch here after seeing the reviews. Tried many options, all were very very oily and lacking tons of flavours. Service was average and slightly slow 12 dollars for a mock tail That is 70% of it is melted ice ! And wasn't even good. My colleagues had their desserts too and gave it 2.5 Its a nice concept and the menu is very creative, I wish they develop their recipes!

We went to get a late night snack on a Tuesday night. We arrived at 9:30PM. Kalia the waitress was super friendly and helpful. We had the nachos and the Nashville Hot Wings with a side of Hot’ Honey IPA sauce. The nachos were nice and crispy. Loved the fresh toppings (tomatoes, pepper, green onions) and sour cream. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much cheese. Maybe they ran out? I still enjoyed them very much. The rubbed dry Nashville Hot Wings were a bit bland. However, with the Hot ‘N Honey sauce on the side, it was very tasty. Tangy and not too hot. Even though it was already 10PM and they were closing, they told us to take our time to eat. Great place. I highly recommend.

They gave us 4 pounds of wings by mistake instead of 2 what we originally ordered when we told them they told us to keep it which was generous,( the waiter was surprised that we finished it, I found it a bit rude btw ). My new favourite wing spot. The wings are amazing I recommend the honey garlic and buffaloes and also we ordered an array of sauces to go with them also the sweet potato fries and buffalo Mac and cheese. The drinks were really good too but a bit pricey but it’s ok. I have to say that the service from CHELSEA I hope I spelled her name right was incredible she was so nice and accommodating on all our requests. Thank u and we will definitely be returning. Birdhouse is honestly a very good spot. Very modern looking, and apparently they are trying to franchise. I found the food to be very tasty. The chicken was my favourite part of the meal. Flavourful, tender, juicy. I would have hoped to have more chicken slapped on them bones for the price I paid, as I found myself still being hungry afterwards. However, I definitely think this is a great place to take someone on a date. For 2 people, eating together, expect within the 50-70$ range depending if you take drinks. Thank you for the experience!

I'm in town for work stopped by here because it is not too far from my hotel. A little bit pricy for wings but they are absolutely fantastic. The coleslaw is on point as well. The hostess, my server Kalia and the rest of the staff were friendly and polite. I'll likely return before I go back home. **edit** I take back what I said about it being pricy. We had a great experience on a Saturday evening. Was seated right away with our reservation at 5:30. Started with some chicken wings tossed in original Buffalo sauce, they were excellent. Then we split the smash burger and the holy cluck chicken sandwich. I wanted to try both and let me tell you, they were both amazing and the fries that came with it were crispy and cooked to perfection. If I could I give it 10 stars, I would. We will be returning very soon. Highly recommended.

Wow wow wow . What an experience it is to eat at this amazing sit down resto. Great music variety and atmosphere Great friendly staff . I've lived in the south in Florida and the fried chicken here is absolutely to die for, super crispy exterior with a succulent juicy interior. Amazing choice of specialty cocktails and spiked shakes with your own custom printed picture! Highly recommend! The service experience on top of the food from all the staff was great. If you're looking to open your own restaurant this is the benchmark and the one go take notes from!

This restaurant is one of the best ran restaurants in all of the West Island.The owner Lorne Schwartz is the most engaging and helpful owner I have ever seen in my life. He is amazing with his employees and even better with.his customers. The waitress Adelina very hard working and friendly. Now the food. Everything was cooked to perfection and the food was to die for. The Nashville hot wings were my absolute favorite. Will be going back to try new things on the menu. If your looking for good food and fun atmosphere Birdhouse Wingerie is the place for you.

It's loud fun place great for a drinks after work but I would not recommend if you want to catch up with someone over dinner. There is an extention built (dinning room) on the side that is a bit quiter. It is a CHICKEN place but don't worry they have other options Such as fish&chips, fish tacos, nachos and salad.

Great place, great service. Sadly, the food isn't good. I ordered tacos, 1 pound wing, and fries(honey garlic sauce). The chef(s) really liked their vinegar as my tacos and garlic sauce had a VERY acidic vinegar taste to it, not only that the wings tasted bland, pre-made and cold. Fries were just salty! Do not know how this restaurant is so popular when the food is below average & costly Would not go back, sadly.

I held my daughter’s bridal shower at Birdhouse Wingerie & Bar a few weeks ago and it went off without a hitch! It was our first time eating here and it's now my Favorite chicken spot! friendly and courteous wait staff, owner was kind and welcoming. This is hands down best buttermilk chicken burger I have ever tasted...crunchy, juicy, tender and the flavor is off the charts, wings are just as amazing and the sauces I tried were incredibly tasty as well, hand cut fries are perfect as well..I have no complaints even if I tried..hats off to the staff keep up the fantastic work front and back of the house!! We will be back again and again!!

The food here is always incredible. I’ve had the cauliflower tacos, chicken tacos, edamame and nachos. It’s a good portion as well which is nice. The cocktails are delicious too (try the pink lemonade!!!). The service has always been super friendly, professional and quick. Oh and the Nutella cheesecake if you have room.. delicious.

Best restaurant on the West Island. I've eaten here approximately 10 times. The variety of wings are unique, interesting, and delicious, the burgers are awesome, and the drinks are spectacular. Service is always exceptional and management is very friendly and accommodating. The prices online might be scary but I can assure you that you definitely get what you pay for! They always thrive for perfection and you can tell there's genuine cohesion between management and staff.

Is rare I do this type of review...but this is a FOUR STAR place. I will give five overall only for the service of Christopher. Rarely a waiter like this has served me. Chapeau and keep up the good job!!! For a fastfood - pub food style is very very good. Everything is amazing and the cauliflowers are to die for. Their spicy sauces are nice too. 2nd time going there on Sundays. Not too busy at that time but very chill ambiance. Staff is great and same for the service. They are very attentive and kind. Food is better then any sports bar we go too. its a good middle ground between myself and my boyfriend who loves sports. We will def be back with our little one who loves to watch hockey ! Amazing customer service! Seriously, they go above and beyond for you. Our server was so nice and helpful, and we even had other staff members come check on us throughout our meal to see if we needed anything and make sure everything was good. Great food as well. We went to birdhouse for my brother's birthday and it was amazing! The food was a bit pricey but was fantastic, some of the best wings on the west island. The cocktails were really good and so was my alcoholic milkshake. The milkshake was amazing. We were served by Cat who was very pleasant and nice to talk to. She sang happy birthday and brought my brother a slice of cheesecake which was unexpected. Cheesecake was also great. 4 happy customers we will definitely be back!

Cute place with a fun vibe for a night out. But the service was a bit slow… it took almost 45 minutes for the server to take our order and we did not get our meals at the same time. Those that ordered wings got their food right away but anyone else who ordered something different had to wait nearly an hour. The mac & cheese was pretty bland, dry and not cheesy at all and the buffalo chicken on it was over cooked. The tater tots were good though and so were the drinks.

Food was good but the service was amazing! Charlotte was my waitress and she did a phenomenal job. She kept checking in on us, informed us well about the menu and focused on making my boyfriend and I comfortable. Haven't had a great waitress like that in a long time. Waiters and waitresses these days seem to do the bare minimum but Charlotte went the extra mile !

Had a great time! Service was good and quick, my reservation notes (to sit outside) were respected which I really appreciated. Our server Angelica was awesome, the food was delicious and the servings were huge too. The nachos could have used a bit more cheese but were still super yummy! Highly recommend!

10/10 AMAZING! This has become my new favourite place in the West Island. The service is always excellent, the prices are decent, the atmosphere and the food is amazing. I go there often and keep introducing friends and family to it because it’s that good. The waitresses and managers really care about their clients. They drop by the table more than once to make sure everything is to our liking. Other establishments should really take notes from this place!

First timer. Great experience and awesome wings. Will be making a return trip. Menu has some good choices and a decent array. Some excellent choices for wings and of the four different types I've tried, all were just as advertised in the menu. Simple date night, boys night out or just a fun group. Definitely make reservations.

My first visit to Birdhouse was an awesome experience. The food was amazing, the service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was lively. I loved the throwback music! The wings were big and meaty and both flavors we tried were excellent! (Cherry Cola BBQ & Smoked Apple Habanero). The fish tacos and tater tots were also both delicious! I will definitely be returning!

It was my first time there, was dropping a friend off at the airport and saw the amazing reviews of this birdhouse. I was greeted and served by Juliana and Amanda!!! This place was so good, and I can’t even describe it. The waitress and manager was so nice to us. I got the wings and they were perfect. Beer was great too. Definitely coming back next week. Price isn’t a problem. 10/10

Restaurant is really nice inside with outdoor seating area. I wanted a light lunch and happily surprised to find a Tuna Poke bowl on the menu. It was delicious and was beautifully presented.

Fun spot for the west island. Music videos on all the TVs around the entire restaurant. If you don't want the kids staring at the screens I suggest getting a spot outside on the terrace. They have a fun option to print a logo or picture on drinks using vegetable dye. Definitely worth a try.

Great dining for flavorful juicy chicken wings in so many different wet and dry rub flavors. We had Sriracha lime, honey garlic and another yummy flavor but the vampire dry rub was my favourite. The sweet potato fries and the bone marrow poutine were great sides. The kale cedar salad was so fresh. Service was super friendly and fast. The ambiance is great too. We didn't have drinks but their selection looked great.

Loved it great vibe. Went there to Celebrate my birthday. Staff is fun and friendly. Peter was really great checks in on you to make sure things are good. The wings are top notch they know what they are doing. Will see you soon

While gaining fame for young people, the place could have benefited from a more diverse menu for those who don’t necessarily like chicken wings. Service is extremely friendly and caring. The drinks did not have the right portions, the Caesar was missing vodka for sure!

Buttermilk Fried chicken was amazing . Batter was light, crispy, and well seasoned. Loved the fries and the poutine was really good . Sauce is a bit salty though. Great and friendly service . 9.3/10

nice place for a good evening, good vibes, wings are great, service is fast. One of the few restaurants in the west island that i would go to for a date as well. sticky fingers aside definitely the best wings in the area, though that was not a feat most wings in the west island are terrible, but they are really good.

Birdhouse is one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal. I highly recommend their sweet and sour wings and animal smash burger. Good food and good music. Loses one star because one of the managers made a rude comment to us while we were eating.

Simply a wonderful dining experience! The food was as tasty as it was pleasing to the eye. Beer was freezing and I had one of the best dirty martinis to date. Everything was extreme fresh and filling. The staff was super attentive and the ambiance rivals anything in Griffintown; something the West Island desperately needed. Kudos to the owners for a job very well done!

Great place just to hang out with friends. Great food and atmosphere, music, large screens etc… would definitely recommend !!

Cool place. It might have been bad timing, but we waited over an hour for our lunch...we were a group of 8 and they served several tables before ours, who were seated after us... Staff was apologetic. Food was good, but as we were in a rush, and had waited so long, we didn't enjoy it as much as we could have.

Enjoyed a birthday dinner here. Service was impeccable. Chicken Dinner was generous. Fried chicken was very tasty and crunchy. Changed fries for the a Kale Caesar which was delish. White sangria was lovely. We shared a decadent piece of chocolate cake. The waiters came with a sparkler in the dessert and sang happy birthday with us which was super nice!

Great place for wings and drinks! Loved the atmosphere and the music. The staff is super polite and we were seated right away even though we didn’t have a reservation (on a busy Friday evening) Will definitely be returning to try out the other cocktails.

Great food and options! I took the bone marrow poutine and I'm not a poutine fan but it was very tasty! Good portion to share. Also had wings, good size, cola cherry was my favorite. Would definitely go back to try something else.
