Hallo , two days ago,I visited Raj Kapoor restourant in the hotel with the invitation of the manager of the famous Ta Ta hotel .While the famous dishes of indiya are being prepared in the Raj Kapoor restaurant,I tried karay chiken , Chetinad chiken , jeera rise ,garlik naan,cheese naan,chapatti naan,zira rise and gulaab jaamon various desserts.I drank some tea . The hospitality of the restorant staff at the hotel is great .As for the food I recommend everyone to come and try the food at this restarant.The real Indiyan chefs are here . Don't get me wrong. The food is great . The complaint I have is of a slightly less than intelligent/ backward policy, where you can't use your own reuseable take away tubs. They insist in using their own take away packaging , which is not reusable . I get that you want to increase your bottom line by charging for it as well, which is fine, but when clients would prefer to recycle ♻️ and not create extra waste, they seem to be backward in it. I would be more inclined to make a larger order if I were able to use my own reusable takeaway tubs. Think bigger guys. #shorttermgoals ‍♂️‍♂️ All or most schools teach on how to be more aware and how to recycle and not be wasteful. Please catch up with the rest of the planet, when your own country has recycle drives and policies to reduce waste. Won't be coming back here, at least not for takeway P.s. if anyone has the managers details, please let know or could forward this to the manager to take on board, that would be appreciated. The guy at the desk has no idea of it ... Or doesn't get paid enough to care.

The restaurant is located inside Le Grande hotel in Tashkent city center. Walking in customers is allowed into this restaurant. You just inform the security guard on duty. The food tasted good. Just make sure you inform the waiter your spice tolerance level. We had Thosai (or Dosa) is a "South Indian savoury thin pancake" made from rice and lentils. It comes with 2 gravy chutney and lentils. We also had Kadai chicken curry dish and Rogan Josh curry meat dish (see pics). The ambience was pleasant and service was good. Price was affordable. They also serve beer, soft drink, lassi "yogurt drink".

An old hotel built by Tata Group from India. Restaurant try to bring the cullinary of India especially north Indian dishes. A must try is their chicken dry starters and if you are a rice eater , go for meals. Paneer items were average and mix roti items were really good. Overall highly recommend Indian eat out and with their tradition they follow. Furthermore, the restaurant name is of old late actor Mr Raj Kapoor from India and can see other old and new actors photos in the restaurant.

They have lots of vegetarian options but this is the only positive point. Food was terrible, the naans are frozen so do not taste as naan, the paneer is not good the spinach was average. With 20% of service charge the food is way over priced. 143,000 Sums for one dish, one naan and bottle of water. They charge for take away box 9,000 sums (+20% of service charge). When I mentioned the complain when paying the guy just ignored me. Too bad

But for authentic and delicious Indian cuisine with you have to choose "Raj Kapoor" only . This place is loved for its idea of serving culture along with food. The restaurant says it's an Indian restaurant but they didn't know how to cook indian food. They also charge unnecessary very high service charges and the food is so expensive. The taste of food is very bad, I personally only like rice. The service is so bad that they took more than 50 min to bring your order even when the restaurant is empty. Total waste of money.

Restauracja przyjemna. Troche trudno ja znaleźć, trzeba przejsc przez hotel. Obsługa bardzo mila, latwo bylo sie porozumiec z jednym kelnerem, z drugim juz niekoniecznie. Wszystkie dania bardzo dobre, szybko podane. Wzielismy na wynos desery byly male i po prostu wrzucone do pudelka. Dania zroznicowane cenowo, pudelka na wynos dosc drogie. Ogolnie polecam miejsce.

We went to have dinner and seeing the big celebrities signatures on the wall we were expecting delicious food. But after taking 1 bite from frozen naan with canned vegetables and dal , it killed our appetite. I don’t recommend anyone looking for Indian food to visit the restaurant.

Very badly prepared food, it tasted as if everything was frozen and out of can.

All the dishes in this restaurant are quite high priced compared to other restaurants. Talking about the food in that price is not quite good as well. In addition to this they are charging 20% of service charge with the bill. When I complained it with the restaurant they didn’t care to listen me with don’t care attitude which is unacceptable.

Bloody Frauds. They charged a service charge of 20% when a lot of other Indian restaurants like The Host also in Tashkent within 3-4 KMS of Amir square do not have a service charge. Look literally 30+ mins. Do not understand what Naan is and also for the quality of food, the prices are much higher. I strongly advice The Host. Location: Just Google Map

My wife and I have been visiting Raaj Kapur regularly. Food is delicious. Authentic. Very obliging staff. Place has always been quiet, relaxing. Considering it's a foreign restaurant in a hotel in the center of Tashkent, prices are surprisingly affordable. Never felt we were overpaying! All 5 stars deserved!

Worst food, no taste at all. Highly disappointed. Not a single food product is good except steamed rice and as you know rice is not a dish. All wasted. I would hardly suggest you to avoid. All wasted, food and money. No value for money at all.

We had an "Onam" festival celebrations here in "Rajkapur"!!!!. It was an amazing get-together of Indian friends and a memorable opportunity to taste real south Indian dishes..Thank you Mr.Reji and Mr.Davud to give us such a wonderful occasion

Grande déception. La qualité de la nourriture était décevante. Le temps d'attente de 30 minutes pour du réchauffé! Le serveur qui oublie 2 de nos plats. Et une barrière linguistique bien étonnante.

Lunch was served by the staffs of the Rajkaapur in Tashkent. Wonderful tasty dishes Sambar, Rasam, Paayasam, Pappad, and Vegetarian Sabji. All dishes was Awesome. Recommended to go ❤️
