WOW! Has THIS Lowe's improved! (You can check out my 1 star review posted 4 yrs ago below) I've always been an ardent fan of MY local Lowe's and on one of my weekly visits there, I was to discover exactly what my parents were searching for! I took a picture of the label (Item # price etc.) and phoned this Gloucester location to ask about availability... as Gloucester is in my parent's area. The gentleman who answered my call turned out to be no less than the Manager! Kurtis, easily and quickly confirmed it's availability. I then immediately phoned my parents, explained this gem of a find and took them over to see it. They loved the quality and perfect dimensions so they purchased their large ticket item. Setting up delivery was a breeze... thanks to Penny. I had to make a couple of follow-up calls on behalf of my parent's purchase and once again, their Customer Service was exemplary! Thanks to Tonya for her assistance. Seems that ANY time I can't get my desired help at my local Lowe's.... I phone Gloucester Lowe's and get all the desired assistance. There's never any problem getting a human (as opposed to bouncing around in transfers). It's getting to the point that.... dare I say? Gloucester Lowe's is now becoming MY "go to" Lowe's? Kudos to the staff and management of Lowe's Gloucester! Always a friendly, personable AND knowledgeable staff member to assist you.... and just as important, informs you on questions where you become completely confident in any purchase. Ohhh how the tables have turned. I have absolutely NO hesitation in any purchases made at Lowe's Gloucester now! 4 YRS AGO - 1 STAR REVIEW - I arrived during the conversion from RONA to Lowes. As they have an impressive cut shop and I was their only customer at the time, I was very hopeful that a professional would cut my two expensive panels to the size that I had written down. "Shawn" would not allow anyone to stand nearby so I had to trust him. He mistook 58" for 55" and so my expensive panels then became garbage. The Manager was sympathetic but stated that...as the panels weren't purchased at RONA/Lowes, there was nothing he could do. BEWARE Shawn and his "professionalism". Frankly, I'd have a Manager alerted and close by during ANY of Shawn's "cuts" on items not purchased at Lowes!

If I could give zero Stars I would do that. I ordered a new stove from this location which was to be delivered on Friday. I got the confirmation call telling me the stove would arrive between 10 and 12 on Friday. When it wasn't here by 12:30 I called delivery and learned the delivery had been cancelled by the salesperson the night before. When I called the salesperson he said that he had written down the wrong date, and had scheduled the delivery for Saturday instead of Friday. I did not get a good explanation as to how that could happen after I have received a confirmation call. He said he would ensure the next delivery was a priority. I also confirmed this with delivery. I got the confirmation call that the stove would arrive between 9 and 11 on Saturday. On Saturday, driver called me and said he was having problems with his truck and it would be delivered between 12 and 1. He then called me again and said it would be between 1 and1:30. At 1:50 there was still no sign of the stove. I called delivery and they told me he was on his way from downtown and would be there in 10 minutes. I said if it had not arrived by 2:30 to cancel the order as I had things I had to do and could not wait any longer. At 2:30 I called delivery as there was still no sign of the stove. They had no idea where their driver was or why he had not arrived so I cancelled the order. afAn hourter that I got an automated call from the delivery service asking if I was satisfied with the delivery of my stove. I answered no and when I attempted to explain, I was disconnected. Customer service on Twitter was useless and asked me to email the customer care team to help them improve their service, but did not offer me anything tangible to make up for the inconvenience to me or my lost time. I will never deal with this store again. Everyone was pleasant, but no one did their job properly. I spoke to someone who had worked at Lowe's previously who said that if it happened when he was in appliances, he would have put the stove on a company van and delivered it Friday. I had mentioned this to the fellow at delivery and he said he would have loved to do that but Lowe's wouldn't let him.

we purchased 55 boxes of flooring here but when we arrived to pick it up they had lost 13 boxes of our order. we were told to come back when they had new stock. we called this store a few times and each time they would say they had not found their stock yet. on Oct 10th i called and they confirmed they had stock again. we live out of town and had to make a trip into ottawa to pick it up. so we went into customer service to pick up, they told me that i had already pick up my missing boxes. when we asked for any sort of paper work or pick up receipt they said that someone from the store had signed for me. which doesn’t seem like an appropriate method of having receipts and paperwork. so i asked to speak with the manager. when he came down he proceeded to tell me that it’s my fault for living out of town and that it is my fault for not signing that i had pick up the floor and that i should be smart enough the remember that i had picked it up. he was the most rude and unprofessional manager i have talked to. the customer service rep had said that the person would signed for me would be here in a few hrs. so we left for an hour then we went back in to see if they documented what day they say i pick up the floor and the had no records of that. so we had to wait until the other individual got to work. before this person arrived the store called me and said they decided to let us talk our owed boxes of floor. i’m not sure what changed with them. the customer service rep was polite and understanding and apologized when we pick up the 13 boxes but the manager would not apologize or come talk to us again when we came in. i would advice people to never pay in advance for something at the store.

I had a terrible experience with a shed delivery. After spending over $1000 on a shed, Lowes cannot seem to deliver it to me. I scheduled my delivery for Monday, June 10th as that was the soonest they could deliver it. I was called on the tuesday prior and told that they were coming with my shed. I was obviously not home so was unable to recieve this item (besides the fact that the area where the shed would go was blocked as I was not expecting the shed until the following week) so the delivery person told me they could schedule it for June 7th. Okay great. I cleared the area where the shed would go and cleared my schedule so I could be home to recieve it. That friday I called Lowes TWO times to find out what time it would arrive. They told me it would be before 2pm. At 2:30pm, I called and they then told me that they had gotten the dates mixed up and I was in the system for june 17th.... REALLY? even after I called so many times... The delivery department then told me that they would deliver it the next day Saturday, June 8th. I inquired what time and they told me in the morning... ok fine. Again I cleared the area and made myself available to recieve it. At 11:30 I called to inquire what time and they said any time before 4... At 5:30 I give them a call to find out where the shed is. Turns out it is still in the warehouse. The manager says he can deliver after I express my frustration. An hour later the shed arrives and the box is open and destroyed. I have officially wasted 2 days on this shed. Waste of time. I highly recommend purchasing your shed or any other item that need to be delivered from any other company.

I bought an 'in-stock' counter top and asked that it be miter cut. This was Oct 26. I was told it'd be ready in 3 days, on Oct 29. I called in on Oct 30 and asked if I could pick it up on Nov 1. I was told no problem. I came on Nov 1st, it wasn't ready. Sorry, sorry, sorry I was told, it'd be ready Nov 2nd. I sent my contractor in around 11am on Nov 2nd, he was told it wouldn't be ready until 6pm that day. My contractor charged me a $300 'no show' fee. I went in on Saturday Nov 3rd, was told it was ready. I took a look at it. Aside from it being poor workmanship-like someone had just rushed through it, there was a section of it that was incomplete. I pointed that out and was told give them 30 minutes and they'd fix it. 90 minutes later I was told maybe another hour. I asked if I could take the section that was complete, they said no. I made a complaint at the front counter and was refunded a whopping $50. I came back 2hrs later and was told their equipment broke and maybe it would be ready by Nov 4. On Nov 4, I received a call telling me they needed another day. You would think they were trying to build a rocket ship. The incompetence is off the charts. It's hard not to conclude it was deliberate, people ordinarily can't be accidentally that bad at their job. Meanwhile I look like an idiot in front of my client and my contractor wasted his entire day. Lowes' response is to continue to apologize and continue to screw up with no end in sight

Bought a fridge and a dishwasher on Boxing Day Dec 26. Was promised delivery for both a week later at the same day. The dishwasher wasn't delivered same day.... no one contacted us to tell us that there are no dishwasher in stock! We waited for almost 2 additional weeks for the dishwasher to be in stock and then tried to find a date to be delivered ( as we were busy and didn't plan for any delivery! ) The dishwasher finally was delivered 3 weeks after the purchase! The installation guy (technician) came in... opened the box and guess what! The dishwasher is broken and bent as it was dropped or something! So of course we waisted day of work waiting for installation that didn't happened. We are soooo very ANGRY and FRUSTRATED as not we need to reschedule the whole thing again and waste another day or two ( at home not working ).... washing dishes for a BIG family for a month with our hands!!!! Additional to that, we were promised in the store that the old dishwasher will be taken by the technician for free. The technician told us that he is NOT TAKING anything as he doesn't have it in his notes!!!! This is just outrageous! NEVER EVER WILL BUY FROM LOWE'S AGAIN!

Purchased appliances online November, 2017. Purchased LG refrigerator, stove and microwave, Stainless , Lowes.ca, delivery came from this store. First delivery - range was delivered as is with broken leg. Made a call and it was replaced. Refrigerator - after a few weeks we removed the covering over stainless, only to find three dot dent on the front of the refrigerator. We called and we were offered a discount( Based on amount of damage) or a replacement frig. We opted for replacement frig- delivered in January. after delivery, we again noticed waves in the stainless. We called , asked if we could just have the one door replaced. answer was no. We could return the frig for a refund, that sometimes stainless , this happens. only option. I did not purchase scratch and dent, and after three change of appliances already, the thought of another. for the purchase of three appliances, this was a miserable experience. Lg warranty does not cover scratches or dents. What a hassle. I gave them a 2 because they did replace some of the items.

Bought a snowblower on Monday afternoon that was delivered on Tuesday. Up until that moment I was happy but of course I had to put gas in it to test it. Guess what? Engine ran but the transmission did not. Almost $1900.00 including tax and 2 days after having it delivered I call back to tell them it does not work as the wire controlling the gears was broken. LOWES tells me that because I put gas in the snowblower they would not accept any responsibility and I had to deal with the manufacturer. End of story as far as the clerk on the phone was concerned. Sorry but that is all I can do was her answer. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE......NOT. Called Cub Cadet, the manufacturer, and was told I had to take the snowblower to the repair center. A 300 pound machine that I was supposed to find a way to pick it up and deliver it to a repair center. More GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.....NOT. I have to pay for this snowblower to be picked up $40.00 and brought back $40.00 again and wait a week before that can happen. I am not happy with either company

A family member sent me in for something, he had called and arranged pick up at customer service. The customer service desk clerks offered minimal support or assistance. I had left my phone in the car and when I asked to use the store phone so I didn’t have to run out in the pouring rain just to come back the clerks looked at me like this was an absurd ask. Went and got my phone and confirmed the object with a family member came back to customer service the only help offered was to tell me it was in the back left corner of the store. Fortunately I ran into another worker who was much more helpful, Fred. Even though the object was unfamiliar to him he stayed and scanned items until we found the correct one, he really went above and beyond to help, these 5 stars are for his work ethic and professionalism in helping us.

My stove died and I was advised to shop through Lowe’s because I would be able to get one on in-store pick up. Spend $1000, specifically picking a unit listed as available for next day pick up. Cut to today, I’m waiting on the notification to go and pick up the stove, and I get a phone call stating that now my stove will not be available until March 10th. Unreal! They had it IN STOCK and available yesterday but now it’s more than a month away! Waiting still for the “appliance manager” to call me about the situation, but I’m pretty confident I will never spend my money at Lowes again. Update: he finally called me and told me he could get me a different stove if I wanted to spend another $700, but otherwise told me that he could not help me at all. Absolute worst service that I have encountered in a really long time.

I wonder how expensive it is to update your inventory system in real time? Is it to expensive to connect your instore sales to online inventory for your store to afford? I bought stuff and paid, saying there are 15 ITEMS IN STORE, to make sure I come into the store and within half an hour to which I am told that the store is out of those items as the store only UPDATES ITS INVENTORY NIGHTLY. At this day and age, keep up with the curve and update your systems. P.S. the customer service without apologizing for the situation tells me that go to our next story about 8 Km from there, and try my luck there which shows that they have 11 items in stock (the same way they did), I asked would the same thing not happen there, she replies, Yea YOU SHOULD CALL THEM FIRST. I mean thanks customer service at LOWE'S

If I could give the 1880 Innes Rd location a lower rating I would. Paid a lot of money on an item that had to be ordered. Needed it ASAP so felt good that the item had a 7 day guarantee arrival time. Placed the order at customer service, paid, and left. Checked back 6 days later, just in case it arrived early and they had trouble finding the order in the computer. Got a call the next day telling me that the order had never been placed!! Had to travel to a location further away to buy item and go back to original location to cancel non-placed order and get refund. Duty manager Elisa refused any kind of gesture of good will for our inconveniences, frustration, troubles, extra travel, etc. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and will never give them my business again.

Not impressed with the appliance section. I was waiting to speak with and buy a dish washer from this location. The sales rep was busy with a customer so I waited standing about 15 ft in front of him just as he finished with that customer another person cut in front and started speaking with him not mentioning I had been waiting 15 min to that person but.went off to help him with a stove. Needless to say if Lowes can't staff there stores along with training their employees proper education on dealing with the public they will lose more than the 1200.00 sale they missed out with me. While I was there I also needed 3 gallons of paint. The sales person in that department was very helpful and knowledgeable resaon for the 2 star rating.

We’ve spent thousands of dollars there the last few years. Nearly all of our interactions have had issues. Either to do with work quality or just getting things booked in. Today we called in trying to get our closet doors order finally locked in. This was our 5th attempt at doing so. A guy called Derek answered the phone and was unbelievably unhelpful and rude. Refused to check if anyone was working in the department we were looking for and for some reason decided to be really rude to me and my partner over the phone. You guys continue to disrespect returning customers. Reading these reviews it shows you don’t care about customer exp and having seen Derek’s name pop up several times, don’t train your employees to do basic tasks.

There is something wrong with the service in this place. I have noticed it before. Today I went in search of a specific item. The store seemed empty. I stood at the department counter for a while and could not find anyone. Then I walked to the customer service desk and asked for some help. She seemed very busy and I seemed to interrupt her but she tried to find someone anyway. She told me to go to the department counter and wait and someone would be there. After 10 minutes waiting I gave up and walked out after going the the customer (non) service counter again to let her know no one showed up. I just wanted to buy something. On the way out I must have passed 10 Lowe’s clerks who were not with customers.

STAY AWAY, bought a broom online, took 4 days for the processing, then I arrived this morning at 9:20 for pick-up, had to wait 20 minutes? After seeing other clients being served before me, I asked the attendant why getting a broom was taking so much time. He explained that they were short staffed. I then questioned him how come other clients were being served while I was still waiting??? He answered that Pro members get preferential service and unfortunately I have to wait. I should have ordered through Amazon, I would have received it in two days with no fuss. If you are not a Pro member, do not waist your time in ordering for curb-side pickup. They do not need your money. You have been warned.

Love this Lowes location. They are well organized, staff are friendly and helpful, and I like that they have a cut shop. The cuts and work they do isn’t done at any Home Depot so that’s why I’m giving it 5 stars. Once I had an issue with them not completing something by the time they said they would but besides that they do great work. That and the fact that they are pet friendly is the reason I go here instead of the Home Depot across the street. It’s also the reason I will order from them online. I have brought my dog in with me for quick trips and he has always been welcome. No granted I have a super friendly dog but he always gets smiles and a few pets from the staff so he loves coming too.

I don't know much that I can say about this particular location other than it was your standard Lowe's Home Improvement store. From a small one at a time that I was in there the employees seem nice and being that it was just like every other Lowe's I would say that the small details 10 to count. Things like how nice the employees are or how well-stocked and clean the store is. As previously stated employees were very helpful and nice and the store was very well stocked and cleaned. Beyond that it is a very successful experience being that it is your standard, well ran Lowe's Home Improvement that has what you need and the spot that is supposed to be so you can easily go in and go out.

I had trouble finding a Porter Cable battery that was on clearance but Maddison from Customer Service was super helpful. She was very nice and gave calm responses to my questions and inquiry. When she directed Bosco to me for further assistance it took quite a while to locate the item but he was super patient, never got frustrated locating the item, and never gave up on helping to locate the item. I would definitely shop at this location again. If you can't find the item you're looking for but you saw on the website that they have it in stock. Go to Customer Service and show the item you want with its Item #. This will allow the associate working there to help locate it.

This is the third time this happens so I decided it’s time for review. I give it 1 star because of the lack of associates that can help customers. Today I stood in front of a BBQ grill for about 30 minutes waiting for someone to show up or just ask me if I need some help, when that didn’t happen I approach one of the associates that was walking by, and ask him if I can get some assistance with grabbing this grill. He paged someone to come help so I waited and waited until no one showed up!! then I approached the guy in customer service with the issue and he said someone will be with you shortly. After waiting for almost 45 minutes I decided Home Depot is a better choice.

New post: meh Old post.. I’ve been coming here for many many years when it was originally Rona. My last visit I found many employees just standing around talking. I asked one guy for patio umbrellas and he said talk to this guy who is a specialist. I walked down to three guys standing around and asked them. They seemed disturbed and the “specialist” employee had no idea what a umbrella bracket was to attach it to a railing. I can’t believe there is not much umbrellas anymore and no attachments anymore. I also checked their super store in Orleans and nothing there either. I guess everything is going online and these guys will soon be out of work it seems.

To this specific store. Whats the point of doing online orders if you cant fulfill them. Covid shmovid. You keep on pushing and asking to order online, yet you cancel the order 10 days later with no warning and no refund to the credit card and we cant get through to get the money back or we are left on hold for an hour just to be hung up on. Shame on you, you better contact us ASAP you owe us a lot of dough. I would suggest people not to order from this store even better yet cross Lowes stores from your list. There are much better stores around. Home Depot is a very faithful home improvement store, or Canadian stores like Home Hardwares.

  • Ryan M

Downsizing in the future not really a surprise. Store has very few customers in it and unhelpful staff. I guess they see the writing on the wall and their mood reflects it. I really miss Rona. Past visit: Went in there to look for tools and once again the staff were to bust talking to each other or talking to prity girls about their weekend rather than just ask me if I need help. Won't be going back. Now it not like they are busy as Home Depot staff are. They have 5 customers waiting on one lineoverworked staff member. Lowes has 5 staff standing around avoiding eye contact with the few customers they have.

  • Joulian Tavalloli

Extremely poor customer service, especially with their managers. When I went in to inquire about exchanging some dead trees (still under warranty), the manager (Scott) would not accept unless all the dead trees were returned to the shop. This, during a pandemic. No sense of reality. After speaking to their head office, they had completely different information. They said I could just show photos of the dead trees. Overall, very disappointed with how it all was handled. I don’t recommend anyone shopping here. Your best bet is HOME DEPOT where you get excellent service time and time again.

Innes road Ottawa store: Not a good set up for garden centre this year... Who ever decided to organized it did not think it through very much... Very disappointed, not many plants and flowers like past years... Most of the flowers looked like they needed to be soaked with water... Plus very Poor service clientèle... 3 clerks at the entrance chatting and never looked at me until I said :Excused me!... only 2 cashiers to pay and get out from the garden centre with at least 30 people waiting... Someone at the store did not do their job... It was very badly organized this morning...

  • Sophie Dutrisac

It's a huge store, as it should be. However, for the size of the store the staff seems to be a bit lacking in numbers. When you can find someone to help you, they are gracious and welcoming. The layout is a little confusing. The lighting is not always ideal. It is however handicap and wheelchair friendly, as friendly as an extra large hardware and construction supply store can be. Would definetly recommend looking up what you are looking for online before dropping in if you can as that will help you locate your item much easier, faster and with much less confusion.

Paint department. Everyone has a different opinion about paint...one says use a sico...another say use valspar. Both say 2 coats max yet I'm on number 5. Management says 5 or 6 coats...staff says Management doesn't have a clue. You shouldn't need a primer one says. Someone says a primer is essential. Yet another say the paint to use is a paint with a primer in it. After 5 coats no one has done a thing to help. Went to Benjamin Moore. Lady there says this paint will work in 1 coat...max 2. It covered in 1. Buy your paint from Benjamin Moore...it was also cheaper

We came in to price, treated wood, hardware, paint, bbq , top soil, and mulch. We left an hour later, with everything to be delivered and great prices . Even the bbq assembled at no cost! The difference was Service. A dept. Manager named Kurtis walked us through a great order experience with solid advice. We added about $600 of "later project items" because of his friendly, competent and, knowledgeable Service . In these times of change, it's reassuring to meet a representative of a Company who acts with ownership-values. Kurtis keep up the great work!

  • Sean Kelly

Ordered an air conditioner for in-store pick up at the Gloucester location. When I arrived, I was informed by customer service representative that my order was ready for pick up at the Orleans location. I informed the customer service representative that I wouldn't be able to pick it up in Orleans. The representative asked me "Why not?". I replied "Your asking me to tell you why I can't pick it up in Orleans?" She replied "Yes". I proceeded to run through my schedule for the afternoon. No explanation, apology or attempt to help me solve the problem.

  • Alex Rudy

The service here is terrible. There's never a staff member around, and if you do find one, they don't know their products or their inventory, so you can never find anything. Last time I was there, there were literally no cashiers, only the self checkout was open. They're mostly overpriced (literally three times the price on a box of screws compared to home hardware even), and the selection is terrible so you won't find what you need anyway. I was afraid this would happen when they converted from Rona to Lowe's, and is most certainly did.

  • David Wigle

I don't know why I continue to go here. I had a gift card from Reno-Depot, can't use it at Lowe's, only Rona, I thought it was all under one company. No tap available, hello.....you would think someone in head office would have figured out by now that there is this thing called covid. Tried to take some tiles back, just finished 5 months of renovations, unfortunately my girlfriend lost the receipt, I have all mine and paid with credit card, she paid with cash. No can do sir.....will spend most of my future repair money at Home Depot.

  • Lina Barakat

Employees aren't on the same page about products. One yelled at me for trying to bring a palm that was outside the garden centre, in to purchase while the other one at the cash told me I can take one. I asked an employee to help me pick up a Japanese Maple Tree that I had paid for and load it into the car and his response was he wasn't sure if he was authorized to go into the cage with the trees, so I had to do it myself. When he came back 10 minutes I had already got it into the car and was ready to leave.

Worsts place you can go I tried to get just a little piece from a broken plank of a vinyl flooring to show to my client as a sample but one of the associate and his manager confront me not allowing to bring any unless i purchased the whole box of it. Even though i said in a polite way" but sir..! If you give me this tiny piece to show to my client, there is a chance that i will buy the whole skid if this products!" But i don't think they get and understand the business proposal i just made

Today, September 7, 2019 was treated very badly by Harley, a Lowe's employee at the plumbing section I was waiting for my turn to get his service. when he came to me and I started explaining my needs, another customer came and Harley left me to help the other customer. I thought he will come back. No, he went to help one more customer. Felt very bad and most likely because I look different... The acting manager agreed with me that was bad behavior, but....nothing done about it

Sat Oct 21, 2023 I learnt from my sister that they were having a sale on fire extinguishers. I find that the one that I currently have at home is a little heavier than I can manage, so I was able to find a smaller, less weighted one. I am happy. I also managed to find a new smoke detector. I was fortunate to find a female staff member who was extremely helpful in my search. The store was clean, and their staff were friendly. Thanks, and keep up the great work.

  • Yuliana

Terribly organized curbside pickup. On a huge parking lot they have 8 spots only for this purpose(at the very corner where nobody can find them). Not the easiest to find. People are walking around the entrance trying to figure out how to get their order. When you bring it to staff attention -they say it's been working fine, no complaints. Um,i am complaining now. Also, go outside and ask people why would the walk around the entrance of a closed store???

  • Sean McNamara

Quick stop in to find a very specific size shear pin. (A specific size that I couldn't find at other hardware stores or small engine repair shops). Found it at Lowes. Employee Noel was quick to greet me and was of AMAZING assistance! He was extremely knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and funny. Noel even gave me a few other tips to save the life of my snowblower. Excellent customer service Noel!!! Management, please make him employee of the month!

  • seb leclerc

Well I don't know if the review is for this specific location or for the online ordering system and customer service. I placed an order online for pickup at this location last weekend and I've yet to hear or receive any update. In the email it says click here for order info. I'm directed to a website that does not work and can't find my order, the 1888 only provides a busy signal. How hard is it to put 12 pieces of wood and a box of screws together?

  • Max

I just moved here and so far they have had everything thing we need to get set up and ready to go for our new home. From lumber to keys, to bathroom mirror cabinets, to doorbells, to paint. We have gone to other home improvement stores and some of them were missing some crucial items but not Lowes! They have really friendly and helpful, knowledgeable staff who want to make your shopping experience swift and complete. Would 10 on 10 recommend.

Avoid this place like the plague. Online order pickup, after 45+mins of waiting, them came back and asked for the order number again. It was not busy, I watched around 9 other cars come in a get their items and leave, curbside pickup bays were by no means full. Go somewhere where they they actually care about customers. Order cancelled and I will take my business elsewhere. I will not reward a company with my money for service like this.

  • Dan Plant

Went looking to get a specific snow blower on sale. Website said store has 4. None on display. Store associate (who hadn't even clocked in yet) started the search in multiple locations to find it and did not give up until he did. Then he went to get an appropriate cart to load the box that would make it easier to load into my van. He then made sure another associate came to help me load the 200lb box into my van. Great service.

  • Yves Fournier

Was just told by the manager that this Lowe's does not carry what a normal Lowe's store does because of its size. I was told to go to the Lowe's in Orleans to find what I was looking for. I was looking for simple economical L brackets to make shelves in my garage. They only carry the more expensive designer ones. Would also be better if you could cash your airmiles like you can at Rona... Overall disappointed in this store.

  • Grant Phillips

Spent 11/2 to check out with plumbing supplies problem was that lowes took over the Rona store in Ottawa and the department failed to put their own bar codes. To make matters worse when I was returning some of the plumbing once again it was over an hour and arguing with the returns management as she either wanted me to take a store credit or keep the merchandise.i stood my ground and eventually got my credit card refund

  • Andrew Inniss

So generally I like Lowe's. Today I went there looking for. 20lb propane tank. Their website said they had 88 in stock, when I got there there wasn't one in stock the people who worked there were really helpful and they looked around a lot for me and it was that was okay but I drove all the way up to Orleans specifically for that one item because they had a lot and there was no one none to be had.

  • Jackie Therrin

Drove a good distance to find they shut down the outdoor garden dept, Okay the air quality is not so good but the least you could do is shut down the cash registers outside so that at least we can still go shop if we want too, ((entering form the main doors)) The gardening items can then be brought through the store to the main cashiers. This is going to go on for a week. Dissapointed alright!!

  • gowri

Store associate was not helpful. We spoke another Lowe's store in Orleans and Rona. For LG washer and Dryer which were on sale as per the associate at this lowe's location they are not delivering this particular washer and dryer for next year.. but as per Rona and other Lowe's in orleans they can deliver in 4 to 7 business day. Very lazy associate not will to check his system before answering.

  • Kristin Grant

We ordered this swing and had it delivered with truck delivery. When we were assembling it we realized a few pieces were missing. I called this location and chatted with Paul in the seasonal department. Paul said to come on in and he would open up another one and get us any pieces we were missing. It was as simple as that. By the end of the day we had a fully assembled swing to enjoy.

  • RW (RW)

I like Lowes in that there's always an associate around to gladly point you in the right direction when you cant find the right isle . This time however I was there for cabinet hardware and the selection was severely lacking for options. I did to go elsewhere to find what I required. If youre into Halloween they have a decent selection of animatronics and inflatable scary characters!

  • Paul Wyskup

The in store cash specialty areas have no working people. I went to the tools/ keys section, and no one was there to help me. I found someone in another section. He was not knowledgeable about making a key for me. The key making system at Rona is out of date. Canadian Tire has a key scanner, which is computerized to make keys . It was quick and easy at Canadian Tire.

  • Emma Hunt

Rylee at the Pro Desk went above and beyond for me. I went in looking for a drill for my husband that was on sale, but unfortunately the store was sold out. Rylee went out of her way to show me 5 different kinds of drills that she would recommend me buying. I ended up purchasing one of the drills she showed me and my husband loves it! I appreciated all the help Rylee gave me.

  • Khammy Pung

The staff are very helpful especially if you're looking for something you can't find. The lady that worked there took about 10-15 minutes helping me look for a hardwood spline. Computer said 55 at hand, we both couldn't find it and it wasn't her section (hardwood), she still went out of her way to help. Thank you lady for not quiting and I don't have to drive to home depot.

  • Powel Cuber

It is definitely a good alternative to Home Depot, as it stocks many different brands and models. However, when making a significant purchase, it is best to compare the products and prices at both stores. Also, keep in mind that many of the Lowe's stores are ex-Rona stores (including this one). As such, they are smaller in size and therefore selection may not be as wide.

  • Bonnie Adams

Went from Carleton Place to Innes Road Ottawa to pick up an item. Called service desk upon arrival. Got voicemail. Left my name & phone number. Waited 15 minutes. Went into store. Waited 10 minutes to be served. Told item coming to front counter. Another lengthy wait. Item was placed on floor while my back was turned. No offer to carry out for me. Lousy customer service.

  • Michael Robinson

It's a vast, well-stocked warehouse of consumer clutter. When I visited there were few customers. One lady I met complained bitterly at the lack of sales assistants. Big signs out front beg job seekers to apply. Prices and selection seemed marvelous. There seems to be a crisis of under-consumption developing. Or maybe everyone's buying all their stuff on the Internet.

  • Tom Keeling

I was looking for a plant (black zz) and the other locations were sold out. I decided to call this one and try my luck. I had the pleasure of dealing with Jacob. Not only was he knowledgeable on the plant I wanted but he set it aside for me to come and pick it up. Overall the experience was a 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend this location and Jacob!

  • Bob Dude

Of all the Lowe's stores in Ottawa I have found this one to be the most flexible in their store policies for customer service. Especially for price matching. The other Lowe's stores almost try to find the reason why you can't price match whereas this store is much more flexible in price matching... Even against their own stores like Rona and reno depot.

  • Greg Cormier

"Hassle free" price match? Customer service would not price match Home Depot. HD had the item with free shipping arriving in 2 days, but customer service insisted they were out of stock, confusing local store inventory versus online order warehouse inventory. Not worth my time trying to explain the difference, I'll order it online and stick to HD.

  • Amit Nandi

Mostly we come here for our garden needs. The garden centre is accessible normally from the outside but they are asking you to come in from the inside for one way traffic during COVID. Plants have a good selection and especially good for roses and berries. Also like their selection of paving stones and mulch. Staff is friendly and helpful.

  • Crystal Schuder

My man and I went to Lowes for a kitchen design consult today and had the best experience ever. Pam took the time to answer all of our questions and helped guide us towards our dream kitchen. We are looking forward to sitting down and finalizing the design. We are beyond excited to renovate our first home together :) Thank you Pam!!

  • Mahima Chandra

Thank you for keeping open during pandemic and having things that Home Depot/Canadian tire doesn't carry. But the curbside pickup could have been better planned during the pandemic. Home Depot did a great job with signage with curbside pickup. But big thanks to your employees for working during such sad virus pandemic time.

  • Marnix Van Gemert

Disappointing. Needed full shower hardware (incl. shower head) and vanity hardware (faucet). The items are not displayed together so I had to go back and forth. Finally found the two items I wanted but one was in an open box. Lowe's refused to give me an extra discount for the open box so I went elsewhere to spend my $400.

  • Matty Dee

I had no issues finding products there however there is a noticeable difference in staffing between Lowe's and Home Depot. If you are ok with self serve Lowe's should be fine but if you are looking for customer service you might want to go to Home Depot. These are essentially the exact same store just branded differently

  • Cameron Dennee

By far the most efficient store to order from during the lockdowns, fulfilling orders same day, far faster than any other retailers or even other Lowe's stores. They have even stepped in for me when I accidentally ordered from another store and made sure my order was looked after properly. Definitely my go to location.

  • Michelle

Our last visit there was great as always. I felt really horrible about making that cashier tear-up when I told her about my dog. He's old. Plus, my Lowe's card was giving them a hard time. I will keep going back. But of course, it's quite far from us. If only Lowe's had not closed down its Cornwall location.

  • Mr Ian

lowes, too busy to sell and ship a hose. they'll charge for it, but you have to chase the order, check stock availability and chase the the credit when there is no intention to ship. oh and don't expect ny update, you gotta figure it out without their help. lowes just charges and waits for you to chase them

  • Shane Fletcher

Empty store staff standing around .Even when I asked for help noone wantted to felt like I was bothering them. Not a friendly place pricing all messed up from one store to the next was in three trying to find doors. Going back to get a second door hurt standing there for 20 min before anyone even helped me

  • NUAS YAS

I try to use this card its lows’s and Rona 3% discount today when i went cash casher said we don’t Except discard I try to call my manager and the manager say same thing I told them that’s weird I get this card and I can use it on laws and Rona store I never got any more to Lowe’s Rona best place to shop

  • Di GoogleExpert

We are super lucky to meet Cody in the fashion bath department today. He is our life saver and we value his assistance by providing all nessasary and relevant information. He is very accomodative, knowledgeable and positive man, and definitely deserved being recognized for his excellent customer service.

  • Rick Smith

Incorrect prices shown. Displayed sale price not honored at cash. Cashiers not aware of sales in departments. Untrained staff, Manager not reactive to remedy mistakes made by their staff. Don't waste your time here, better service at Home Depot a block away. Time of visit Sunday 1330 Feb 25, 2018

  • Sue Alcott

I purchased a dishwasher at the beginning of October and opted for the installation service...it is now a month later and I still dont have my dishwasher...I have called 4 times and seem to get a little closer every time but still dont have a confirmed date. I will likely never shop there again.

  • bryce armstrong

Why offer curbside pick up, if no one answers the phone, I let it ring for 20 minutes, before finally walking into store, while phone was still ringing thinking they must be so busy.. Not One customer at customer service, the girls were standing there talking to each other. Just unacceptable..

  • Jake B

Lisa in the paint department is the kind of employee that every business should look for. She was fantastic and helped entertain my children while we were picking out paint colours. The customer support desk staff hooked me up while I was trying to find a lawn mower that wasn't in stock.

  • Sandra (Co Co Love)

Lowes love love the store. Found a great bargain used the customer service was served with professionalism. They have a sale on patio furniture. Was able to buy at a great price for my patio. Happy to look at all their live plants and look at every isle you can always find something.

  • Kayla Buttle

The staff were quick to help me find exactly what I needed. The prices were average compared to other home renovation stores. They are following all the Covid standards by wearing masks and providing sanitizer at the door They also have masks for sale near the cash, very nice designs

  • Tony Galletta

Waited half an hour for a curbside pick up and got 2 of 3 items. I had to ask for a manager and it was found they didn't have it in stock. They could of told me that when I got the 2 items within 10 minutes which was acceptable. Finally I accepted the refund and got an apology.

  • Ruslan V

From the sales team in appliances to customer service team, extremely helpful. Our laundry machine failed, and they found one same night and arranged for a truck that I could take home the same day. Professional, knowledgeable...great people to have in the neighbourhood.

  • Josh Sannar

A good alternative to Home Depot, as this store is not as busy. However, make sure you know what you want as staff rarely knows what you're asking for. At Home Depot - the staff is much more knowledgeable. I shop here when I know what I want and want to grab and leave.

  • K M

I’ve always had an excellent experience at this location - the staff are friendly and the management is always open to discussion to negotiate on clearance items which is a lost ability with a lot of big box stores. Four stars as sometimes difficult to find staff.

  • Veins Paul

I'd like to specifically commend the paint desk. I've been there multiple times to pick up different materials, each time a different associate was there and equally helpful and kind. Easy to understand advices that made my renovation extra smooth. Appreciate it!

  • Ben Whitney

Bad experience at Lowe's. Wasted over 30 minutes finding staff that were helpful. Bought garden stuff but the garden center was locked. Bought wood but the chop center was still open but unstaffed (they had gone home for the day). Lots of time waiting and a pain.

  • Rob Wilson

Sad to say that since being switched to Lowes from Rona the customer service has taken a dip. Some person from Lowes HQ decided finished wood should be stored out in the cold so it can warp horribly. I don't buy my wood for home projects from there any longer.

  • Deborah

Professional staff-I went for bolts and nuts for my bed. They asked questions like will they be seen and also advised they do not have the exact size but one that will fit. I learned that nylon bolts are better. Not being a hardware guru this was very helpful

  • Corey Reynolds

I don't know what it is about this store, but most of the time I leave disappointed. The only good thing for me is that they still accept compact fluorescent lamps for recycling. The indoor drive thru lumber yard at the back is welcome in Ottawa winters.

  • Marc Scrivener

Another great store with lots of helpful staff. When I asked about buying a second ac unit for the window the manager gave me a little discount and suggested I try the one unit and if didn't need the second I could return it. Excellent service and staff.

  • Wayne Rogers

Great service but ... Rented the van and for a 18km trip it costs $20 to fill. The van was not filled first and I had to fill it before returning it. When mentioned the high cost, no effort to return part payment. Receipt was in hand but not taken.

  • Brian Parry

Much better service than the Kanata location! Placed an online order and it was ready within hours instead of the 3-6 days Kanata takes. Also when I arrived they took my info and I had my item in just a few minutes! Bravo Gloucester Lowe's team!

  • Marc Dsh

Great service, I asked a lady for some info, she actually took me to the shelf bracket section even though it was right across the store. I did not note her name, but message to the management hang on to her, employees like her are like gold.

  • Caroline Dagenais

Clean store, very friendly & helpful employees, good selection of seasonal products. Unfortunately they don’t have tap payment methods, so you can’t be pay w digital apps on your phone. Make sure you bring physical cards or cash to buy here.

  • Allison D Tupperware and ZYIA Active

Friendly staff once you actually track down someone to actually talk to as they are hard to find when you are looking for help. They had no problems price matching an item from their website vs in-store price as website price was cheaper.

  • Hugh Ellis

I'm usually a Home Depot guy but I was impressed with their greater selection of hard to find tools and building supplies. Also, their drive - through lumber pickup is very convenient. They have lost very little since the Rona purchase.

  • Ray C

Competitive pricing. Better quality than HD. Drive-through lumber yard is convenient, would be more convenient if you could pay from your seat, like MCD's. Drive-Thru lumber yard should have some contractor pencils, please and thanks.

  • Al Nouralian

Terrible customer service , waiting to get a price on a item and this people instead of doing their job fighting each other for who should leave earlier, after about 30 min finally someone just made up a price of thin air .

  • Maxine Evans

Rocco from Lowes on Huntclub in Nepean was amazingly helpful. The item I needed was sold out at their store and he, very patiently, searched for another store that still had it in stock. Thank you for the excellent service!

  • Taras Klymyshyn

Great in-stock vinyl siding colour we bought here for a small project - “Gun Metal” colour Unlike other hardware stores where colours are special order here it’s in-stock item. Store on Hunt Club rd had all we needed.

  • Lindsay Beauvais

Great service and selection. I was accustomed to shopping at H. depot, but will now be going to Lowe's instead. I've always had a good shopping experience here and there's never any issues finding someone to help you.

  • nabil zarka

Unfortunately Lowe's has been going downhill, nothing compared to Home Depot, returns have been difficult without a receipt, even though we use our debit or credit card for payment, which they should be able to trace

  • Chris Pancel

Store has all your do it yourself materials for home improvements new appliances outdoor products very similar to Home Depot but perhaps a step up in quality of certain products. They seem to have sales each week.

  • Sylvain B

Great gardening section, and good selections. Service could have been better both in the aisles, and at the garden cash for products that are not priced yet cashiers are not trained for how to handle them.

  • Bengt Neathery

Excellent help from David and Joel at the Stittsville/Kanata location. Superior knowledge and right on the ball for my custom order. Treated me like a small business and not like a big box store might.

  • Pascal Bisson

Very disorganized and provided false information about some purchases on multiple accounts. Management is very bad in particular, go to Canadian tire or Home Depot instead you will be much happier.
