I purchased a vehicle from Petrie Ford in March. They repeatedly ignore issues brought up and since I did not accept the explanations given by service department and continued to ask for reasonable diagnoses, my efforts finally resulted in there being no other choice from service but to confront the issues finally and repair them which should be my right and should have been addressed the first time I brought it in. I have had it in numerous times for issues from the day I drove the truck off the lot that were dismissed outright with lame excuses about new brakes squealing and the vibration being unevenly wore tires! I would not give up and finally had service recognize and eventually repair the problems. A vibration that I brought in to have checked three times before they admitted it was a drive shaft hanger and had to replace the drive shaft, the other it took my rear caliper falling right off the truck for service to take my brakes sqeel seriously and since then the brake squeal has not gone away. I also brought it in with a belt squeal that was never heard until I would not give up and finally they admitted that a pulley was bad and needed to be replaced again being dismissed and told that the issues I'm concerned about didn't exist. I have been told numerous excuses as to why it's not Petries fault until they finally admitted these faults, due to me not accepting these poor excuses and not giving up. The motives of the service shop are to give questionable explanations to issues and hope the customer goes away, when this does not happen, as in my case, then next strategy is to completely ignore the customer and hope they go away. In the end everyone there was told not to deal with me and I was no longer welcome there! I treated everyone there with respect until the very last issue where I might have lost my cool as I was being told again that none of the issues existed as my brake caliper was dragging across the ground and my drive shaft was vibrating. After all the struggles and back and forth they ended up putting all the issues I brought up through warranty when really they should have just fixed it there first time it was brought to their attention since they are all existed right from day one after they saftied... and every one of my complaints was legitimate. All I hope they cease using these practices on customers when they are deemed to be an inconvenience. Buyer beware, they will happily take your money and sell you a warranty but if you bring up any issues they will do anything in their power to not address them, even to the point of calling you the "vibration guy" (from the service manager's mouth) and then realizing I was right, fixing the vibration that existed from driving it off the lot yet putting it through warranty, and then blacklisting me from the business, if that sounds like a business you'd like to deal with then by any means don't let my story stop you.

Beware of shady practices, and even worse leadership. We made the mistake of trusting Petrie Ford with diagnosing an issue our vehicle was having. They said there was no issue and that it was 100% safe to drive. This led to our engine completely failing on the side of the highway. After further investigation, it was found that Petrie did not fully investigate the issue we were having, and instead only looked at one small component/possible source of the issue. Their inability to completely and thoroughly diagnose the issue led to putting us in an extremely dangerous situation where we literally could have lost our lives. It was negligent behaviour that they continue to refuse to take accountability for. This situation was preventable, but resulted in us being stranded in on the highway in another province (with no assistance to get home from the dealership) and requiring us to completely replace the engine. On top of that, Chris, the Service Manager, has the most disgusting attitude we have ever witnessed. Even the President-to-be, Lisa, admittedly described him as “defensive” in a face-to-face conversation that we had with her about our situation…. Doesn’t instil a lot of trust if the President-to-be is aware of this behaviour and continues to employee these people. If you ever have a problem with the service you receive, you will never get resolution from the dealership level. Do yourself a favour and bring your vehicle elsewhere. **After looking at other poor reviews, it seems that they really enjoy responding to 1 star reviews with some elaborate story as to why they did this, why they said that, and oh of course why this is your fault and not theirs. I am very interested to see what story they are going to create in response to my review, considering the story I have heard from the service manager, and then twice from the President-to-be have all been vastly different. Biggest hint that people are lying or trying to cover their butts: they can’t agree on or get a story straight to save their lives.

One more poor experience in a long line of poor experiences at Petrie Ford. (To be fair, I have not purchased any of my last 5 Ford vehicles here, primarily just because they haven't had the one I wanted on the lot.) However, I used to buy parts for my Mustang here and ended up stopping when they started giving me a hard time about a battery warranty. Today's experience marks the last time I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I have a 2021 F150 with the electronic release tailgate. After picking up groceries today and putting them in the back, I got home and couldn't get the tailgate to release to get my groceries out. I stopped at Petrie, acknowledged I didn't have an appointment and asked if someone could just have a quick look at it. I was told no, they couldn't do that because it could be a huge issue that requires lots of time or parts and they would need to create a work order form before anyone could even look at it or come to talk to me. And that they would be happy to book me in later this week or next week to have a look. Didn't matter that I had fresh food and groceries sitting in there. Considering it was working an hour before, I think it was safe to say it wasn't catastrophically broken. I just needed the courtesy of a Ford professional to come out for 5 min to give me the time of day and humour me by looking at the tailgate. I suppose the moral of the story is owning 5 Fords in the last 10 years means nothing and the message that keeps getting sent to me is that Petrie Ford is doing me a favour anytime they sell me something or deal with me. I stopped at another "location" on the way home where they were only too happy to come out and help me. 2 minutes later, had the tailgate open and I was on my way. Guess I know where I need to go first next time...

WORST PLACE TO BUY A USED CAR, THIS DEALERSHIP ARE SCAMMERS. I BOUGHT A USED "CERTIFIED" 2015 MAZDA 6 ABOUT A MONTH AGO, PROBLEMS STARTED JUST WHEN I WENT TO PICKUP THE CAR, LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD. I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK FEW DAYS LATER AND LEAVE IT THERE FOR ALMOST A WEEK, THEY FIXED IT. THE SECOND THING WAS A HUMMING NOISE THAT I NOTICED WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF PURCHASE AND ALSO AN AWFUL NOISE FROM THE BREAKS. THEY GAVE THE APPOINTMENT AFTER A WEEK OF MY COMPLAINT AND LEAVE THE CAR FOR 3 DAYS, THEY SAID THAT THE NOISE WAS CAUSED BY THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS WHICH THEY APPARENTLY "REPLACED". AFTER I PICKED UP THE CAR I KEPT NOTICING THE HUMMING NOISE AND THE GRINDING NOISE COMING FOR THE BREAKS. I CONTACTED THEM AND THEY SAID THAT THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE TIRES AND I WAS OK WITH THAT BUT WHAT ABOUT THE BREAKS WHICH ARE DEFINITELY WORN OUT? JESSICA G. FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THEY COULD CHECK THE BREAKS BUT THEY WILL CHARGE ME BECAUSE THE WARRANTY WAS ALREADY FINISHED (ONE MONTH WARRANTY AFTER PURCHASE). SO HERE IS MY COMPLAIN, HOW IN THE H$LL THEY SAY THAT THE WARRANTY IS DONE WHEN I WAS ONLY DRIVEN THE CAR FOR ONLY TWO WEEKS AND THE REST OF THE TIME THE CAR WAS IN THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE OF THEIR POOR INSPECTION THAT THEY DO IN THEIR CARS BEFORE THEY SELL THEM. DO NOT BUY CERTIFIED USED CARS FROM THIS DEALERSHIP, AS YOU CAN SEE THEY DO A POOR INSPECTION IN THE CARS JUST TO SAVE MONEY AND NOT REPLACING THE PARTS THEY NEED TO REPLACE, PUTTING IN DANGER THEIR CUSTOMERS AND MAKING THEM SPEND MONEY IN REPARATIONS. I'VE HEARD MANY HORROR STORIES FROM PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT THEIR CAR IN PETRIE FORD AND THEY EXPERIENCED THE SAME THAN ME. SO IF YOU PLAN TO BUY A USED CAR FROM THEM, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH HONEST AND DECENT PEOPLE.

Horrible 0 out of 5 stars! If your vehicle breaks down out front push it anywhere else. You could probably get better and more accurate service at the prison across the road. I brought my truck in for a check engine light on. They performed a dignostics assessment and told me a "pin" had broke off into the intake and went through the engine causing metal in my oil recommending an engine replacement at $15,000. After thinking about it over the weekend I decided to tow the truck to Revell Ford, my usual shop for a second opinion. Revell found the engine had a solenoid stuck open so they took the valve cover off to replace the part and noticed the "pin" Petrie had said broke off was still in place. They also performed an oil change and tore open the oil filter finding no metal anywhere. All in all costing me $1100. I called and spoke to the service manager at Petrie letting him know that the assessment his shop gave was vastly different from another and they assured me that there is more to my issue and the truck will fail again soon (if so I will delete this review). I can understand being wrong, sure that happens, but I feel like you should exhaust all the possibilities before telling a customer you need a new engine. Also, when someone calls stating they received completely different information from another shop it is not a great look to double down, just take the "L" and admit you were wrong. I didn't even ask for a refund or anything was just simply making them aware of the misdiagnosis. To be honest, the $170 is a great reminder to just take your vehicle to your trusted shop.

After doing a lot of research on small SUV's, I suggested to my wife to buy a 2021 EcoSport SES. We were greeted in a very courteous manner and were directed to our sales representative. Now, our sales rep, Muhammad, has done an amazing job. He listened to what we intended to buy. He never tried to sell us anything that would be useless for our needs. He was very courteous and polite. In addition, he is very knowledgeable about his products and he is able to make recommendations without feeling pressured by him. Since my wife wanted a specific model with a unique color, a wait time of 2-3 weeks was required and we were okay with this condition. To our amazement, he managed to find one. The vehicle was at the dealership in less than 2 days. He was constantly listening to us. I sent him a multitude of emails and his responses were prompt .... Even outside of working hours! He took the time to explain all the options of the vehicle to my wife. He even gives away little tips that are not even part of his responsibilities as a sales representative. I highly recommend him to you, Muhammad is a true gentleman who believes in his products! To Petrie Ford Executives: You are lucky to have such a good employee. Take good care of him because he is very dedicated to his job. He believes in the Ford brand!

Great Buying and Service Experience at Petrie Ford. – Through AutoTRADER.ca I found a 2018 Ford Mustang GT Premium at Petrie Ford. I reached out to Petrie via AutoTRADER and shortly after I received a message from Craig Tyrrell to arrange to check out the car. Two days later upon arrival, he offered me to test drive the car for about ½ hour. After the test drive he answered all my questions in detail and NOT once did he try to push the sale. He gave me all paperwork belonging to the Mustang. Needless to say I decided to buy the car. A few days later I picked up the car at Petrie and the Mustang was in mint condition. It is now almost two weeks ago since I got the car and I enjoy every second driving it. In summary – Craig made buying this car a wonderful experience and I hereby also send a big thank you to his fellow staff members at Petrie Ford. Will definitely consider them for future purchases. To top it up: Last week in April I brought my Pony for oil-service and Sheri, the service advisor, gave me a great customer experience. After she found out that I came from Belleville she made it possible that my car was serviced very quickly since it was quite cool outside and I could not wait in the show room because of Covid-19. So, Sales and Service are great at Ford Petrie.

I normally never leave reviews but this one was to hard to not to so where do I begin? Oh I know! By thanking the amazing sale rep and financing mangers I had! Christine and Chuck along with Kyle were so absolutely amazing to work alongside with when I came back for my second time around looking for a vehicle. From the time I walked and the time I walked out was absolutely a breeze and such a wonderful experience and stress free as well! I came in a second time around looking for a truck and I went straight to Christine who was my sales rep a year ago when she got me into a Subaru. I went back to her as I need help getting into a truck. She quick to respond and lend me a hand to find the right truck for my needs and budget. I work alongside with Chuck and Kyle after finding the right truck and they were on the ball within minutes to help me find the right price and budget to suit me and that they did! From the start and to the end I am glad to say that I am finally in the vehicle that I’ve always wanted to be in since the day I got my drivers license! This was my first time using Ford as a mechanic. I recently purchased a 2016 Ford Edge Titanium (not through a dealership) and decided to use Ford Petrie as my mechanic to look at some issues. It took about two weeks for my vehicle to be seen, and I spent around $2,250 after everything was said and done. Less than two days after my vehicle was fixed the check engine light came on. I had to bring my vehicle in after 100km for the wheels to be torqued. When I brought my vehicle in I asked if they could run the code quickly to tell me what was wrong as I was very concerned because my vehicle was just serviced by them. The lady working told me they were too busy but someone would be in contact with me to book an appt. When I received a booking text they told me that I would be charged $149.99 for the hour. I am disappointed in the fact that I am being charged again after I just spent a ton of money on fixing my vehicle. Running a code takes a few seconds and to be charged over $150 plus tax is CRAZY. I will not be bringing my vehicle here again and I encourage people to use other mechanics as you are charged way too much for diagnostic fees.

Salman and Hassan were tremendously helpful when we were deciding on our next vehicle. Never having owned a truck before, they took the time to help us weigh out the pros and cons and allowed us to see that there are many available options that make driving a truck very similar to the comfort of a SUV but with all of the hauling and towing advantages. We never felt rushed or pressured which is very much appreciated. When the exact colour and trim package was not readily available on the lot- they searched out exactly what we wanted and made it happen! When picking up our new vehicle they did an excellent and thorough orientation to all of the features, bells and whistles and were able to answer every single question we asked. We wouldn’t hesitate to deal with either of these professionals again or Petrie Ford- we are very happy with our purchase ( F-150, Lariat) and with the excellent service we have received so far and anticipate the service department will be equally as excellent to deal with for our vehicle maintenance.

Moved here from Alberta last summer and originally used another local dealer to service my new truck, but was met with rather cold service and left unsatisfied. Called the Petrie Ford service desk and immediately noticed the staff were accommodating and knowledgeable. I ended up coordinating my visit with Rochelle in the truck repair shop, and she answered all of my questions quickly and honestly. It's a good feeling when you walk out of a dealership feeling like you're in good hands and not spending more than you have to. The service guys are SUPER friendly, courteous, and went over the top for my truck. There was a small issue with an expensive piece of wood trim that was broken when they replaced my in cab air filter, but they took full responsibility and replaced it, the next business day, without question. If you haven't been here, I would highly suggest trying it out. Service feels kind, which is rare nowadays.

2014: I had my truck serviced for a warranty issue. I couldn't return the loaner that I was given in time for closing. They ended up meeting me at home and dropped off the truck and pick up the loaner! Thanks! Update: Nov 2016: My truck had another part that failed under an extended warranty issued by Ford Canada (vacuum pump). Petrie was extremely professional and efficient in the repair. They also performed other regular maintenance to the truck at a fair price. Update Dec 2017 Scheduled an oil change and tire rotation. I was very clear that we couldn't drop off the truck and we would need to wait at the dealership with our baby. Petrie ensured us that we would not wait long because they would schedule us in a "free" time. We ended up waiting almost 2 hrs for the service at the dealer. Tire rotation and an oil change shouldn't take longer than 30 min. Very frustrating.

Every vehicle brand has its strengths and weaknesses, but it’s the dealership that makes buying and operating a vehicle a satisfying experience. Dealerships are only as good as the people in them, and Petrie Ford has excellent people in both sales and service. No high pressure sales or unnecessarily extensive pitches for extras. They ask questions to understand how you, the buyer, want to do your purchase, what support and extras you feel you need, and then respectfully make it as easy as possible for you. The service department is also excellent - friendly, courteous, and will ensure you have a ride to and from wherever you need to be after dropping your vehicle. I’m fussy about my vehicles and have never seen anything but excellent workmanship from the service techs. Highly recommended for both sales and service!

Recieved the car and shortly after there was a crack in the paint. As can be seen in the picture I found out there was a repair done either at the factory or at the dealership (A bodyshop confirmed this was a professional repair done). The owner of the dealership Lisa Petrie was zero help at all and told me it was a door ding. This doesn't explain the striking tool marks behind the rubber trim that was done to bend the door lip. The striking tool was in the exact spot as the paint crack. When it was done it required heat and instead the paint cracked. Bunch of liars. Wouldn't do business with someone like this. So now I have to have a crack in my paint for a truck that is very expensive. This was simply about doing the right thing. I will not be doing further business with this dealership.

We had a fantastic experience at Petrie Ford with with Ken Mundell. Super knowledgeable, not pushy, and just felt like he really took care of you. Even for just our first test drive, Ken patiently explained all the features and options in the truck we were interested in. We had been to many dealerships and drove many vehicles but all it took was 24 hours and we'd bought our truck through Ken. Let's not forget Jeremy Caddick who helped us navigate all the options and choices in financing. He did a great job answering all of our questions and was very personable and a delight to deal with. I requested a oil, tire, and detail service for my F-150 over the weekend. The scheduling manager reached out first thing Monday morning with some suggested days and times, but unfortunately due a late notice on my part with a family vacation scheduled, I had to decline. The scheduling manager was able to move some things around, fit us in, even with the interior detail, all before our trip. Our rear floor area is where our dog goes when with us. Covered in dog hair. I told them just do what they could to ge tthe dog hair, but don't spend too much time on it. To my surprise when we picked up the vehicle, it was like Brand New! Couldn't believe how good of a job they did and for a very fair price! I would absolutely recommend the service AND Detailer/Cleaner to everyone!

Best Repair shop experience of my life! They there friendly, resourceful, and very fast! Will recommend to everyone! I Own A big Diesel 7.3 2002 Ford excursion and have had may difficulty with finding repair shops who will work on these rigs... To be Honest every other ford shop I have been to has been a disappointing experience. so I was uncertain about this one... Petrie ford was an absolute life saver for me. I was traveling from New Brunswick and needed to get home quick, they got me a car rental for 20$ and fixed my SUV that night! I was able to get home safe and sound! The service people where pleasant and the Mechanics where very Knowledgable and got the dirty work done Quick. Thanks you all so much! you saved the day!

As a new car buyer, it can be nerve wracking. I have always heard it's a painfully unpleasant experience. Buying my first car here last week showed me it can be a great, exciting, and trouble free experience. I went to look to see what was in the lot one night and was almost immediately greeted by Mo. He did a great job of listening to what I was looking for in a vehicle, and gave some great recommendations without being pushy. I came back the following day and purchased a vehicle. Kudos to Mo and the team at Petrie Ford for a very efficient, hassle free, and overall great experience. I've purchased vehicles from 5 bigger dealerships in Kingston and my experience at Petrie Ford has by far been the best. Every staff member I've dealt with has been professional, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I was told they'd pick up my car and drop it off afterwards with no hassle- by a rep over the phone- bold faced lie. They forgot about the pickup and there was no drop off. No real diagnosis either: they said it would need a 'couple more hours' even though they also said 'all signs point to one module' (so which is it?) They also didn't look at any of my other concerns mentioned, so that was the opposite of helpful. Definitely using any local independent mechanic from now on

I picked up my Bronco Outerbanks on Saturday and I couldn't be happier with the service at Petrie Ford (well worth the drive from Ottawa). From the moment Elise picked up the phone I knew I was in good hands. A lot of dealers are marking up the Bronco msrp astronomically but Lisa and Elise both guaranteed that would not happen and it didn't! Love this place. Always treated like family. Pricier for services out of pocket but most things fall under maintenance package that they suggest to opt into at time of purchase. I'm on my 3rd lease (to own) from Petrie, maintain the deposit I've put down on the first one and get great pricing when I want to trade up. No complaints about them! Computer of my car Ford Explorer Platinum 2017 suddenly stopped working when Windows were down. I took car to Ford James Braden Kingston from where I had purchased the car in 2017.They gave me appointment after 15 days. I told them that the windows were down and it was to rain tonight. I went in to inquire about a vehicle on the lot for sale, which turned into quite the challenge to view. It's been a few years since I have purchased a vehicle from a lot. At this location the hot marked seems to have given the sales manager the ignorance of feeling like they no longer need to play ball when it comes to negotiating the purchase of a vehicle. Purchased my car from them a year ago. The sales person, Ken, was helpful, knew his products and was not pushy. He focused on helping us find the car & options at a fair price. I have been in for service twice. The service department was great to deal with. They returned calls on time, car was ready for pickup when expected and they explained what was done. Their service prices are not higher than other chain garages so I'll return to then again.

The service advisor was very welcoming and was aware of the work that I had requested when I had scheduled my appointment. As I chose to wait for my vehicle and was told that it would be about 2 hours, I was directed to the very comfortable customer lounge. Amazing customer service at the service and parts departments. Called with a warranty issue, they fit me in super quick and didn’t even bat an eye at a warranty request. Also did a recall that I didn’t know about at the same time. I was supposed to drive my vehicle in, but they sent someone to pick it up for me and bring it back when it was done, which was above and beyond what I expected. Would recommend to anyone.
