I waited 1 month for a bracelet and a Ring super late on my anniversary,wife already thinks I didn’t get her anything another year but eh when they say online services delivery is the longest wait you will ever deal with at peoples jewelry ! So I ordered it to get it delivered at the store which is even more time , like common it’s coming from Halifax what you need a month for ! Super disappointed in delivery system they use ! But thanks to the manager at polo park store his service was really nice or else they would’ve got 1 star!"

Tried to buy wedding bands - after explicitly requesting the least expensive options, the employee tried to upsell and when that proved impossible seemed to lose all interest. Once we'd selected bands, she began processing an order online without asking us first, and misinformed us about the time frame in which we could receive the rings (she was explicitly told of our desired pick up date and our wedding date). Upon receipt of a confirmation email from the online store, it became clear that the bands would not arrive in time for the wedding - I called immediately to cancel, and was told by Peoples customer service that I would receive confirmation in 24 hours. Upon calling back, I was told that due to it being a custom order (which the store employee also neglected to tell us - thanks!), we would have to wait 2-5 business days to know if it was cancelled. It's been seven business days and they still can't confirm cancellation for me. The whole experience was a nightmare, and it's getting increasingly unlikely that I will be able to buy replacement wedding bands in time for our ceremony, entirely due to Peoples misinformation and poor service.

I went there with my fiancé looking for wedding bands. A group of them were all sitting together talking. The look they gave us was as if we were interrupting their chat session. I caught their microexpressions... I was not impressed but we continued on and things got a little better when they realized we were serious. One sales person was very helpful and showed us many rings. We went to look at other stores and at the end of our research we went back to finalize the purchase. We presented another sales clerk with the information she had given us (as she had left for the day). She was less than helpful and gave us the distinct impression that she did not want to help us. Her complete lack of enthusiasm and flat affect left me cold. We decided to not go through with the sale and returned to a previous jewelry store that we had visited in the mall and dropped several thousand dollars on our rings. A note to the sales staff: act like you want to help even if it's not your sale. It will affect your store's bottom line.

I was very unsatisfied with the experiences my mother had with this place this past week. They definitely DO NOT meet the 5 stars for there customer services it is too bad that I still had to give them 1 star otherwise it would be none. One thing my mother failed to mention in her review was one of the woman employees who my mother dealt with had forced my moms ring onto the sizing pole which I felt was very UN professional because she wanted to prove to my mom that the ring was a size 5 & not with what the sizing pole showed when mom slipped her ring on sitting between 4.50-5 not at the 5 mark which the woman was mad & than continued to force the ring to the 5 mark. Anyways the ring was not supposed to be sized to 5 mom requested 5.50 Later that day we returned with my father over all very pour pour customer service & will NEVER return back other than to pick up moms set & or with a lawyer. I do not recommend this place for any services & will make sure to give feedback Anywhere that is needed.

Staff are uneager to assist customers with their individual needs. There seems to be a disconnect between management and customer service representatives. Most of the answers to questions regarding special order jewellery were "I don't know". I ordered a ring and was told to expect delivery in 8-12 weeks. No problem. After 6 weeks I'm told it will take minimum 12 weeks and nobody has any way of checking on the status of my order or the estimated time of arrival. Could be 12 weeks or it may never get made. The representatives I talked to said they had just as much information as me in regards to my order status. Not a good feeling having paid in full for a piece of jewelry and nobody can tell me anything about it's status. The next time I visit people's jewelry will be with my lawyer to get my money back for the ring that may or may not ever get made.

My experience with Sterling Lyon location was a little bit better. Don’t visit polo. My bracelet I ordered on July 13 said it was delivered to store for pickup July 15 *on their end* I didn’t get a call and my email said not delivered (it actually still says this) Went down last week (it’s July 25 today) and they said they didn’t have it! Today I’m told by their text option for chat that it’s there since 15th but they can’t enter it into their systems? How does it take 10 days of not being able to enter it into their system? How does that even make sense? I was told they have to email the correct dept for that. How was I never informed of this as a customer? Don’t spend your money or time here. Do not order online for pickup at polo park as obviously their system can’t handle it.. or whatever is going on here. Bad service.

We went in last Sunday, just shortly after they opened to get a 6 month warranty check on my wedding rings. We stood at the counter for 15 minutes, and understandable the girls were busy with other customers, BUT they never even looked at us or even acknowledged our presence, not even once. We are in our 60's and found that totally disrespectful and at this point we will never buy from this company again. My husband's band was purchased from Michael Hill and they will get our business from now on. Now I have to make another special trip to go back and deal with these unprofessional, uncaring salesgirls again wasting my time. I am very annoyed!

I have bought alot of expensive jewelry from this location over the last 16 years. My Bulova watch that I purchased there 2 years ago for over $1000.00, my second expensive watch from there. The battery went about a week ago. So, mb opened up stores today an i went to get my battery replaced an they told me they were not doing batteries. So I went to a smaller jewelr in the mall an they replaced it in 5 minutes for me. I will never spend another cent in people's. I have 2 chains one was $8000.00 an a wrist one $2000.00 and the clasps are wearing low. Ill be going back to the other jeweler in the mall for those repairs.

Terrible place, I ordered earrings in store which they charged for when i was there. I come in to pick them up and they put the money back in my account for whatever reason. Me being unaware of the backwards way of business I spend the money and they charge me again over a week after i had already picked up the earrings putting my account in an overdraft. If anyone would have informed me that this was the way they charge you I would have kept the money in my account. But all they said when initially purchased the earrings was "it went through we will call you when yuo can pick them up"

Stopped at the store to buy butterfly backs for pair studs. The sales person was amazingly kind and patient. She must’ve tried 20 pairs of butterfly backings on my earrings, she clean them and suggested a cleaning product for my earrings. I’m not from the Winnipeg area and I made it clear that I was passing through on a road trip and this lady made me feel like I was spending $1000 on a wedding ring with the attention that she gave me, even though I spent $36 on two butterfly backs, and a container of cleaning solution . 100% recommend anybody in the Winnipeg area going to the store.

Not impressed at all. I went in to get my ring cleaned and get a new box. I had my box in my hand and clearly showed on my face I needed assistance. I was ignored and had to look for somebody to help me. When I finally got help, the lady grabbed the ring and *tossed* my ring into the cleaner. After the “cleaning” my ring still had dirt in it. Also, I had the original ribbon on the box, which she threw in the garbage as well without asking if I wanted to keep it. Overall unhappy experience with their service.

Bought rings for me and my husband. Visited the store prior and dealt with Carlos who's so nice to accomodate us. Called the store to get help with an online order after we decided what to buy, spoke with a Nancy or Sandra who's able to call us back to give us an update. Overall experience for customer service is not satisfactory. I hope they will know how to celebrate with their customers whether a purchase was online or at the store. My husband was rushed while picking up our rings. Terrible.

I’m finding other reviews to be the same as my experience, the staff just don’t seem to care. Maybe they aren’t being paid enough, maybe they’re tired, I mean we are in the middle of a pandemic so I can sympathize. But whatever may be going on, the experience here was all around just negative, I left feeling worse than when I walked in, and that’s never how you should feel if it’s somewhere you are spending good money on something special. I would recommend trying out other stores in the mall.

I went in waited for help while all three workers were busy. Then one of them was finished, I had a quick question, instead of her helping me she looked at me n proceeded to clean n put away jewelry. She just helped someone else so I know she was able to help. She never acknowledged me by saying "I'll be right with you" she just ignored me the entire time. I ended up just leaving after a while of waiting and getting shamed, question unanswered. very disrespectful workers.

Was very disappointed in People's when I visited on Saturday. I drove two hours to have them tell me that my fiance's wedding band is a special order and there was no way I would get it by our wedding. The staff were extremely rude and dismissive. Walked over to Ben Moss and ordered the same "special order" ring on Saturday and got the call today that it was ready to be picked up! Will NEVER deal with People's again

Had a really bad experience buying an engagement ring here, it showed up a month after our holidays where we were going to do engagement photos. They offered us a gift card for the hassle, went back last week to look at wedding bands and was told the lady would call us back the next day if they were able to order them. It has been 7 days and still no word. Very disappointed will not be back.

I was there earlier (around 545-6pm) to pick up my ring with my fiancé and honestly, the 2 ladies who were working there were not even accommodating and impatient. The other lady with longer hair even raised her voice at my fiancé and rolled her eyes when my fiancé asked a question. Please retrain your staff and make sure they treat their customers a lot better and with respect.

If possible I would give 0 stars but they are predatory sales people who take advantage of the handicapped. They refused to work with anyone to figure out solution insisting if we even wanted to speak with them to do so through court. Never will I recommend a place that is so blantly a scam. Product never left the shop yet they refused to issue refund, or anything of the sort.

Worst experience ever. They have everything roped off. You can even look unless they unrope it. Very rude women Just wanted to get our watches done. Wouldn't even do that. She said they could send it out.. How hard is it to do it. Don't get it. Bought a ring there ,I was going to get it cleaned and the diamonds looked at. Won't even bother. Never deal with them again.

I think it's ridiculous that people's doesn't have a jeweller in Manitoba that can fix jewelry you buy from their store. Especially when you buy the lifetime warranty, they have to send it Far East or far west and can take 3 weeks.

Tried closing at 6:15 when the sign clearly said 6:30. After some arguing they finally let me husband in for the quick warranty check he needed done. Obviously don't care about customer service, look at their star rating. Lazy.

We got my engagement ring from here fall of 2017 and the staff was friendly, amazingly helpful and wonderful to deal with! My ring was custom made and it turned out absolutely gorgeous! I would 100% go back!!
