Ive had the worst luck at this location. First was rusted earrings , now the most recent; i went in on April 19th which was a Friday and dealt with the store manager (bobby jo) i had spent a significant amount of money on a bulova watch for myself and a gorgeous promise ring for my gf, the same day i had her send the ring out for sizing which she said would be back in the following Friday which was the start to long wknd. Taking into account Easter long wknd was coming i made sure to ask her if she was sure the ring would be back before the Easter long wknd , she assured me it would be. Great!! I figured so i made reservations at a fancy restaurant and bought many lily's and had the whole wknd planned how I would give this promise ring to my beautiful gf , now that the whole wknd is planned with my visa i just need the ring now . I went in the following friday to pick the ring up and and it was not there... now that the long wknd is here i knew my whole wknd was ruined! Now i knew i wouldnt get the ring till the following Tuesday once the holidays are over, i had to cancel all reservations for the which came off my credit card of 300$ , no ring , is no special occasion, my plans and surprise runied. I went in the following tuesday ..still no ring.. Now im just frustrated and done with this location so on that Tuesday i went in bobby jo felt "bad" she stated so she tried to put a smile on my face by stating she would get me a gift card , still with no answer as to when my ring would be in , i left. A couple hrs i left the location i get a call by an employee stating the ring would be in on Thursday. Oh great... Now Thursday is here , i go in to get my ring and its in , awesome! Bobby jo wasnt in at the time, when i asked about the gift card the employee responded in a rude way and stated "i know nothing about a gift card" but then said bobby jo would conatct me ..... I still yet have to hear from Bobby jo... The next day i went to the Londonderry location to purchase earrings for my gf which i spent another significant amount of funds, And at that location (leti) who is the manager treated me super awesome and kudos to her for listening to my rant about my experience at the kingsway location. Awesome customer service and definitely knows how to use her manager status!! Once again thanks (bobby jo) for ruining my Easter wknd plans and costing my Visa 300$. And lying about a gift card... unbelievable. Whish i could give a (0 star) for the customer service i got at this location and by the "manager"

We recently bought my fiancé's wedding band here and now wish we hadn't. It's been issue after issue and a 2.5 month wait for what I bought. I can best described their customer service as LAZY. We originally were told a sizing would take 2 weeks on the brand new ring I bought and when we got it back the finishing on the ring was NOT the same as the ring I purchased so they had to order it "specially in" from the manufacturer and said it would take up to 6 weeks. I got in touch with their US parent company, Zales, in Texas to speak to them about my complaint and the person who helped me was great and kept me pretty up to date saying yes, in fact it was sent to get specially made in the size we needed. This was near the middle of January. As of March 15th I had heard nothing from the Kingsway location, so I called them and was surprised to be told they've had the ring back ready for us on February 1st and they had a note written on there that someone tried to call me (I never got a call or voicemail from them). I told her this and asked why no one continued to call me once a week or follow up to say the ring was done. She couldn't say why and said my phone number looked a bit light on the paper (our info is in their computer system so why didn't they look there!?). Thankfully the ring was right this time, but I called Zales again just to make sure they are aware of the lack of customer service at this location and I did tell her we won't be spending anymore money with the company again after how bad this experience has been. Zales let me know they would make the district manager of this location aware of this, so hopefully they get their stuff together.

I am not happy with this location. I have been a very loyal Peoples customer for 15 years, we only ever shop peoples, always purchased the extended warranties. I dropped 3 rings off on May 17, 2018. 1 came back in fine condition, 1 came back looking nothing like the ring I dropped off, and the other, well… I have no idea, I’m still waiting. The work cost more than the ring cost when it was originally purchased, so they were supposed to bring it back to the store, for me to make a decision. Option store credit for what I paid, however the ring is 10+ years old, and what I paid 10 years ago won’t get me what I have. I was last in the store around the beginning to middle of July, when I was there, the manager was pleasant and appeared to be willing to work with me, she was going to have my ring brought back in, and source out a ring similar to the one that was returned looking nothing like the original. I called today, as there has been no communication, and the ring is still at the jeweler awaiting approval for work. The excuse I keep getting is they couldn’t get through to me or leave me a voice mail. Last communication from them was June 21, 2018. Not impressed. I miss the Downtown location.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The customer service was horrible. Wanted to send a ring for cleaning and didn’t bring in the receipt, however I knew it was in their system and could simply look it up. Was helped by one of the employees however she stated that next time I should bring the receipt and that it was possible were thousands of people with my name/phone number in the system so it would be hard to find. She kept repeating the same thing about how sometimes the system deletes records randomly. (I was told later this isn’t true..) anyways we asked her if she could look us up, and she seemed hesitant and not even willing to look it up in their system. After looking through some files she said “sorry there’s too many and I can’t find the rings you guys want to send in the system.” We just left in frustration. We then went to the west side location inside WEM and they IMMEDIATELY found our rings within 10 seconds of entering the same info. Just goes to show how far these employees at Kingsway go to help a customer.

It hurts terribly and I'm crying. We get it off and my finger is red, raw, and swollen. She tries to get me to go up just one size. It gets stuck again on my swollen finger so she guess a size that will fit. Says it will all be good and I leave. I come back and it still doesn't fit. They send it away again and never call me I come back a week after the "arrival date" they told me and ask if it's ready. Thay ask if I got a call from them. I say no. The says ita not ready then and dismiss me. I ask if they could check anyways. They check. Oh... its here. Thanks a lot for nothing. I have suffer more physical and emotional pain than anyone ever should at a jewelry store and am never coming to this location or brand ever again.

Well I pondered about writing a review but I am insulted. My mother and was in the store Saturday November 26th, 2022. My mom was inquiring about a ring and an older Chinese lady was helping us. She was explaining the clarity, cut and grade system. 5 minutes in, my mom said she wants to think about it and look around first. As soon as the sales rep heard this she said to me. It was a waste of time for her to explain when I’m not going to buy it. We shouldn’t do that. She then told a story of another Vietnamese customer and at the end of the story, she once again said wasted her time. I did not know how to respond nicely. I just bit my tongue and went to Ben Moss and bought a ring for my mom in double digits. Do not look at people and judge. If I do not love it at first sight than it’s not for me.

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife after hearing her experience... AVOID THIS LOCATION! They do not want your business. Terrible, nonexistent customer service... I had asked my wife to go pick something out from this location while I grabbed us some food from the food court. 15 minutes had gone by with no acknowledgement from any of the staff... not even a hello. Another lady with two children had come into the store well after my wife and received immediate attention, so my wife felt disrespected and proceeded to walked out. Hearing experiences like this upset me, because I'm an old-school type of guy that values brick-and-mortar stores in which associates engage with their customers. If my wife didn't want service she could have just shopped online.

I have been shopping at this Peoples Jewellers branch for over 10 years now and have nothing bad to say about them! They are always so helpful and knowledgeable about their products. From birthday presents, to Mother’s Day presents, and even earrings for my brother and dad, they have always helped me out with a smile. The deals they have are insane, especially the $30 deals during certain holidays! My co-workers and I buy over 20 pieces when this happens and Barb (the manager) always goes above and beyond with her customer services. Barb truly cares for their products and is so bubbly that you can sometimes just stand there with her for half hour, just talking! (That is if someone doesn’t steal her away.) I will always continue to come back to this branch.

I go here b/c I refuse to go to the Londonderr location and the City Centre store closed. I was here on Saturday picking up a ring I had sent in for repair. I asked the girl who helped me if she could clean my wedding rings and she tried to tell me my ring was clean b/c it came back from the gold smith. Ummmm I was handing her 3 rings engagement, wedding and anniversary which none of those were the rings she just handed back to me. I also asked her about a sapphire necklace that was on sale which I found out about when her coworker called to tell me my ring was ready. But she told me she had no clue what I was talking about. I had to find the necklace myself even after another company worker told her exactly what I was asking about.

March 13, 2021 came in for ring cleaning/servicing waited in line for 10min before even being acknowledged. 1 worker spent all that time on the phone instead of helping people in the lineup. You should be helping the people in front of u rather than phone in customer service world and ask those on the phone to hold. Even when ive tried to call into the store numerous occasions no one would answer the line anyways. My rings are beautiful and prices were great but customer service wasnt all there even other times we did come in its almost as if you have to grab someones attention with a large sign and a blowhorn.... Besides customer service being a dud and needing work its a ok store for whats being sold

I had ordered a necklace as a Christmas gift from the website but when I received it it was missing a diamond. I tried to exchange it at the West Edmonton Mall location and was turned away by a very unpleasant and unprofessional staff member who basically refused to help me. I then called this location and spoke with Jennifer who went above and beyond to help me. She put the necklace on hold for me as they only had one left in the store and was so kind and polite when I got there to do the exchange. I can say with certainty that this is the only People’s I will ever shop at from now on and have been telling everyone how great you guys are, thanks again to Jennifer for the excellent service!!!

I dropped in at a rare quiet time to look into having my rings cleaned and checked. My goodness, she spent probably 30 minutes digging and cleaning, showing me how to get the yuck out from behind my mom's diamond solitaire. I couldn't believe the amount of stuff that she pulled out, and how much more beautiful the ring was. We talked about their lovely things and some I will be going back to consider again, and others in my collection that are old, unique, if not particularly valuable. It was a delightful time spent with a knowledgeable lady whom I must apologize to for my lack of ability to remember her name. I'm so sorry.

I had a ring I bought for my partner and it ended up being the wrong size. We went in store to get a proper sizing done and get the current ring sent back so I could get a properly sized ring. (I had purchased the ring protection package) The packing slip, e mail and website said that I could have this handled in store but the lady I delt with kept telling me she couldn't help and I need to call customer support. Customer support keeps telling me to go in store. I don't understand why noone can help me in store. I definitely do not recommend purchasing anything from them if they are not willing to etleast help.

We have been customers of Peoples Jewellers ever since my husband purchased my engagement ring in 2015. We have purchased three more rings, including our wedding bands and have always been really happy with the service. Yesterday, we went in for our 6 month check-in on our rings and we were served by Tee, who went above and beyond! She even taught my (tradesman) husband how to keep his ring clean and sparkling. Employees like Tee are the reason we keep coming back. Thanks for your charisma and professionalism!

Dean, Barb and Pavi were soooo amazing to deal with today! We went in to have my fiancé’s ring sent in for sizing and ended up with so much more! I was having such a hard time finding a band for my engagement ring and did not like the idea of custom as I couldn’t see it or try it on. They made us feel super comfortable with upgrading, were not pushy, helped us make our important decisions with ease! We spent 2 hours in there and they were just so wonderful to us!! Looking forward to future purchases

Bought my daughter earrings and was told that they had coverage for a couple months if broke or jewls come off and that is exactly what had happened and now they say I was mis informed so nothing they can do . ... the entire shaft broke off her gold earrings within 2 months. Not cool guys. I would have bought her cheap $20 earrings if that was the case. So to be clear they do not offer standard default coverage unless purchase their warranty plans if your told other wise !

With my husband we have always bought in this jewelry, 2 years ago my husband bought a gold cord (necklace). It broke and logically we went to fix it in People, the cost was $ 200 dollars, which had a guarantee of 6 months, 1 months is broke again in the same place. and they receive the necklace without problems making use of the guarantee. days later they call us saying that we must pay again. really very disappointed and lousy customer service.

I had the best experience today with Barb taking my ring in for repair! She was very kind natured, extremely helpful, very thorough with the entire process and approximate time it would take. She has such high welcoming spirits and anyone whose visited the store definitely should be leaving with a huge smile. I am extremely impressed with her customer service and communication skills! My fiancé got my engagement ring there and I hate having anything to do with resizing it. Last time they never called me and I had to walk in after 2 months to find they had it for at least 3 weeks and couldn’t be bothered to contact me. It’s been over a month this time and I’ve still heard nothing. I will not be getting our wedding rings from anyone operated by Zales because I won’t trust them to actually give me my rings back.

Went in the other day looking for a wedding band and was ignored by all three senior ladies behind the counters. They all looked up and quickly looked away when I walked in, and then they all pretended to not see when I was hovering over the case of men’s wedding bands waiting to be helped. Not sure if it was because I was in casual clothes, or if they were just lazy. Whether it be either one, I was not impressed and walked out.

My order was cancelled without any sort of notification. Came to the store after 7 weeks and was told the order was cancelled because of a technical error. Now that I'm here they are going to put a rush order on the item and that's as much as I know. I strongly advise going anywhere else. If I didn't come in person there would have been no notice to myself and I don't know what would have happened to my order. Do not come here.

Bought a ring, 85$ to get it resized. Told it would be ready 4 to 6 weeks. On week 7 we went back and we were informed that our order was canceled due to a software malfunction. They didn't call to inform us that it was cancelled. They didn't resubmit the order but they knew that it was cancelled. The then put a "rush order" which would have been 2 to 4 weeks. It is now overdue again. Never shop here. I know we won't be again

We went there to look for our mom’s gift for xmas. One of the girls at the store helped us. However, we didn’t make any purchase at the store because we didn’t find what we want. She told us that if we were looking for cheap jelwery, we can go to Pandora. Is that how customer service works? Assuming that we don’t have enough money to buy stuffs from the store? Sorry, but I never come back to this store again.

Was treated great by a lady named Monitta excellent customer service. Great warranty no interest payments for a full year if you need that. So many different rings to look at in all price ranges. They really helped me and my future wife to find our perfect ring. They will even exchange the ring towards a bigger better ring if we ever wanted to upgrade. Overall best place I've found for jewelry

I almost exclusively shop at the Kingsway mall store because the employees are always so friendly and helpful. They seem to be very well versed about their product. Anytime someone I know asks for jewelry I send them to you. I would also like to say how lovely the manager was.

Went to this location to have rings inspected as required under warranty. Rings required warranty repair, some paperwork was missing and staff member Tee went above and beyond expectations to locate the missing information. We received excellent service from a young man, I believe was a manager. He very graciously replaced a defective ring that my husband had given me for our 50th anniversary. He was apologetic for the problem and went above and beyond to make it right. We highly recommend this store!

Called in to inquire if they sell silicone rings. The lady who answered said yes and when I asked what brands of silicone rings they sell she said she didn’t know. I asked her to check and she rudely put me on hold only to hang up on me after five minutes. Poor customer service.

Bought our weddings bands here. The gentlemen who helped us was FANTASTIC. My wedding ring has an odd shape so he was able to find a band that fit and was on budget. Rings came in on time and even though one needs to be sent back to be resized, it has been a great experience.
