I'm really torn in leaving this review. All of my experiences with pods from beginning to almost the end were great. Customer service reps were very polite, patient, and kind. Pay structure well was explained and understood on my side. Drivers called ahead, answered questions, were courteous, and mostly treated what was a difficult spot as more of a challenge to be overcome than a problem. I had a great experience until the final pickup. The driver was running a little bit late and ended up arriving at the same time I had a countertop person coming to measure for my kitchen. I was distracted between the two things. Understandably my own fault to book both on the same day but it was the time I had available and the PODS driver was a little late while the countertop person was a little early causing the overlap. After meeting with the countertop person I came out to meet with the PODS driver who was having difficulty picking up my pod. I offered feedback to the driver that he was hitting my deck and that the previous driver that had come had kicked the wheels straight when he was in the tight position to avoid this. The driver asked me to go to the other side of the POD and watch to make sure that PODZILLA was not going to hit my fence. I came back and told him he was in fact hitting the fence but the driver kept going and ended up shearing off the post at the end of my driveway. I expected that the driver would have filed a report about this damage but it has been about a month now and I have not been contacted. I honestly feel a little let down and disappointed. Up until this point PODS had been great. I'm stuck wondering what would have happened if I had not been home? Would I have been made aware of this damage or would it have been hidden? I struggle to give PODS the 5 stars it deserved up until that day. I feel little let down as I was so happy with all of the service I had received up until then.

I'd like to make a complaint on PODS Moving and Storage. I rented a pod from them to move my elderly grandmother on September 27 and I called them today November 20th to schedule a return. I am told today by Michelle that they have no drivers and cannot pickup my pod until December 1st or later and they want to charge me for another full month of rent, which is extremely expensive and beyond unacceptable. My pod is empty and ready to be picked up. I shouldn't be charged for another month if they don't have the staff to pickup the pod earlier. I've given them plenty of notice and I don't think that is fair or acceptable on their part. I don't mind if they leave the pod on my property until pickup but being charged for another full month when not in use is criminal!! PODS is taking advantage of the situation to take money from consumers. When calling pods I asked the person whom I was speaking to, to speak to management and I was refused the opportunity being told that there is no one else I can speak to. PEOPLE BEWARE!! EDITED (Thursday, November 23, 2023) TO ADD: I e-mailed PODS right away on Monday when they replied to my Google review/complaint only to be totally ignored and my email was never responded to. You would think that the company would want to make things right by the consumer. I'm very disappointed to say the least. I will not be recommending PODS to anyone!!

[My Mother's Pod and not mine. Don't use this company unless you want to be scammed] Came to pick up the pod early in the morning Thursday 2 December 2021. Pod wasn't unloaded yet but was by the afternoon. Company refused to come back until Monday. Saw that there was snow and the driver just drove by without any attempt to contact the occupant. It took 2 minutes to clear since it was soft slush. Now they refuse to come back until Thursday again. Laziest incompetent business I've ever seen. People should be ashamed to even work there. Personally since it's my lease and they don't have an agreement with me I want to call the cops and have them fined for trespassing because the Pod is blocking my car in. Won't do that yet —due to my mother asking me not to— but if it's not gone Thursday I'm calling the city for Trespassing. After that I'm taking my grinder, boltcutters, and crowbar to the Pod and taking it apart. ***Then even their laziest driver will be able to pick it up and take it away.*** In my opinion this company scammed my senior mother and took advantage of her to steal money from her. If it isn't gone by Thursday and they don't refund her the month there will be consequences.

Hello, I have used Pods twice in the last few years. The first time went well and I was charged as per the quotation. The second time it didn't go so well, the container was dirty, damaged and the driver obviously was new and didn't know what he was doing. He damaged the driveway when he was picking up the container. Then they had issues with my debit card, I called to resolve the issue but they kept saying they can't do it over the phone, i need to go online. I tried to resolve the issue several times with no help from pods. Three months later they decided to charge my debit card for almost 100.00 more than the quoted. I called to resolve this issue and again with no help at all from PODS. I have sent them the quote they sent me originally, but they refuse to give me the overcharge amount back. They are saying the quote was wrong and they will not reimburse me the difference. So basically they will charge you whatever they want regadless of what they quot you. I will not ever use PODS again or recommend them to anyone. I would highly recommend using any other form of moving/storage container firm. PODS will end up charging you more anyways.

The POD was picked up and dropped off on time with lots of follow-up and notifications of pending arrival. The drivers were super nice guys and went out of their way not to damage any trees/grass/etc while maneuvering the pod. Overall a fantastic experience with the only issue being that there was a leak in the pod by one of the support beams which caused one couch to suck up a lot of water (from rain falls during the month the pod sat in the laneway). I could have helped avoid the problem myself if I had plastic on everything of value. After reporting it though, the driver assured me the pod would be taken out of service until it was properly water-proofed again. Bottom line: I would use PODS again in a heart beat for my moving needs.

I had initially filled out a request for a quote online and was provided a cost. The information I provided did not change between requesting the quote and confirming the order, however the cost almost doubled once I was sent the order confirmation immediately after providing my credit card information. When I called the corporate customer account number, I was asked to answer security questions which at no point did I ever set up. I was also asked for my 4 digit PIN number which I also never defined and was set to '1234' which is ridiculous. The customer service rep I spoke to insisted that I had set the security questions and PIN number and refused to believe that I hadn't. I will never attempt to do business with PODS again.

After consulting with movers, we opted to get a Pod for the bulk of our move. It's super easy and super convenient. When packing boxes, it's just as easy to put them in the Pod as it would have been to put it somewhere in a room. Movers were used for the remaining bulkier items. It took 2+ weeks to fill the Pod and a day to empty it at the new place. Can't recommend it enough if you're already packing your own boxes.

The pods get beat up. I'm sure they are water tight when new, but no way they stay that way. Don't store anything that might attract critters. Expect them to get jarred around, they're being lifted and angled on a fork lift at the warehouse. Consider getting the pods insurance. Absolutely perfect for the self movers. Excellent customer service. Friendly, flexible and convenient!

Top-notch service here. Container arrived, was moved and picked up on-time. The driver (Paul) was also very accommodating, professional and got the job done nicely. Dealing with corporate was also very good in my experience. But honestly, I wouldn't hire PODS to move in the future only because I swear not to move myself again!

I booked a POD and then when my circumstance changed and I needed to cancel before the 24 hour cut off, PODS made it incredibly hard! I had to call 3 different times and waited over 30 minutes each time however if your booking a POD, basically no wait at all. Not happy with the customer service!
