I've been getting my nails done for 5-6 years, the same acrylic nails with shellac overcoat, I've been going to Helen's nails for a couple months even though they have done an unsatisfactory job I have still gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back. Now let me say, after the numerous chances I have given them I was wrong, this most recent time, I always asked for my nails to look a little thicker on the top and the lady refused to do what I wanted because she thought it was ugly... They're my nails not yours... After giving me a REFILL, with a shellac coat which only usually comes up to around $30-$45, I was charged $70. Never in my life have I paid $70 for an acrylic REFILL. I was ripped off and when I showed them the prices they had listed and that they should recalculate the total they laughed at me. Another major issue is the language barrier, their English is not understandable at all and I've realized when they notice you do not understand what you're saying they take advantage and add things to your bill you never even asked for. This by far is the worst nail place I've ever been to and I will not be visiting there in the future and I recommend if you want your nails done for the correct price and what you are asking for, go elsewhere. Jane and Finch mall does a way better job.

My toe was red and throbbing for 2 days after a recent pedicure in which the large toe nail was cut…papinfully…far too low. I needed an antibiotic cream to calm the redness and anti-inflammatory for the pain. I thought to address this with Helen and the employee who cut the nail. I drove down again and showed them the redness and where the nail level was cut below the natural nail line. I explained the throbbing - even my sock rubbing against the toe still hurt! Both Helen and the employee who had cut the nail 2 nights before dismissed my concern. In a salon full of clients, she commented loudly with disdain: It's nothing...wait a few days...you complain about nothing! In spite of my toe still being red and sore, I had to ask them both repeatedly NOT to touch the toe as they were trying to physically point out to me that it was no big deal and not their responsibility. I asked for a refund...and Helen just laughed and walked away returning to her seated client. Be aware - there is NO accountability for poor service here; in fact, you'll be mocked for complaining. I regret recommending this place to neighbours. I WON"T be returning.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I called and asked if they are busy i would like to get my eyebrows done. So this girl said no theyre not busy. So i went in and i have not ever met anyone so rude and disrespectful to a customer. I asked her to clean up my eyebrows and keep the natural arc. She said no she cant she cant she cant do that and made a scene that brought one of her coworkers in the room and started to speak in there language and rolled her eyes . I just simply said ok no problem i can go somewhere else. As i was leaving she was yelling in her language and making signs about the arc with her hands. I said you should treat your customers betterand left she chased after me yelling and said get out... Keep in mind i was already out... I called when i got home to speak to the manager they said the manager was not in and hung up i called back to find out when they will be in and i kept getting hung up on. Ive never been so disrespected before. Horrible.

The nail technician was not nice and was very aggressive when doing my nails. Just a shellac change and shorten my nail extensions. She was twisting my fingers when she was pulling them, I thought maybe she is just a bit more rough than other nail technician who are gentle. But it didn’t stop - she would signal me to move my hand forcefully and aggressively to the point of pain and uncomfortableness. I pulled my hand away as she was hurting me - and I told her she was hurting me and being aggressive. I’ve never had my nails done looks this before. I asked her if she was ok or if she was mad or anything for an explanation. Nothing she said some jibberish saying last time it was not enough force pressure. I’ve never been there and would not recommend this place. I was the only customer in there - I think people in area know how they are and I wish I read a review prior to going out of convenience. Don’t go there.

Worst service EVER!!!! Owner started screaming at me. Came in today to have a pedi and refill, so the owner told me $25 for pedi, $35 for bio refill and $20 shellac total $80. So once I was settled and Anna(sweetest staff member here) started my pedi. The owner became aggressive about the prices she had already given me 5 mins before. She started yelling saying that she didn't say $20 for shellac, and my services would be $100 now. She's refused to do my refill now, but Anna continued doing my pedi. She said I've never been here and that's why I'm trouble She continued by yelling that she was scared of me, so I said the only person yelling was her and she was doing it so much that her face was red. Please ladies don't waste your time and money here, cuz there's many nail spots in the area. Many I've been too and the services are amazing compared to here Helen's Nail & Spa.

I've been going there for many years. Went a couple of weeks ago and the entire place is full of new people, Helen and her sister and niece and husband and other staff - ALL GONE. And the new people would not tell me if they're just on vacation and planning to come back or if they're sold the business and gone for good, or what, wish I knew. The new lady did my nails, horrible job. I never had a problem with Helen all those years she did my nails, but this new woman did a horrible job, tried to charge me more than what I have been paying for years and more than what was listed on the wall on the price list. Does she think I can't read. I hope Helen and her family comes back. If not I will find a new place to go to, these new people are horrible.

I highly recomend this salon and I will definitely be going back. I havent had my nails done in over a year so I was unsure of what service I needed for my natural nails. (bio gel, shelac, etc.) The ladies sugested what they thought was best based off of what I told them I was looking for. They were knowledgable and polite and asked permision before proceeding to do anything to my nails, (cutting, buffing, confirming colour). They didnt push me for anything extra that I didn't ask for, which I realy liked. Vivian was the lady who did my nails and I am extremly happy with the way they turned out. She took her time to make sure they came out looking their best and massaged my hands afterwards. I was also very happy with the price.

Went here for a gel pedicure yesterday. Price was reasonable so I was happy to have found a place so close to campus that I could walk there, and I’ve been here before a few times and had an okay experience. But yesterday, lady who did my pedicure dug so deeply into the side of my nail that I started bleeding. I told her to stop once because it hurt, and she said she was “trying to remove the extra skin” and continued digging into my nail, like... what?! She stopped when I asked her for the second time but I was nearly in tears. Today I’m literally limping and my toe is incredibly sensitive and red. Will 100% not be returning to this place.

No integrity!! I brought my own nail polish but the person doing my pedicure pulled out a natural looking color that she wss about to out on and I said that I had brought my own. I could not understand her but through some gestures I thought she was saying to out natural coat first then my color on top of it. The result was alk right but not was I was looking to do. So when I went to pay it was $2.00 more than the sign indicated and I asked why and another girl said because I got the more expensive nail polish!! I told her I didn't even ask for it. Trying to rip people off is NOT good and honest business. Not going back there.

EDIT: I originally gave 5 stars because I was happy with the acrylics I got, BUT on my second visit I asked for removal and it was done unprofessionally, literally ripped off my fingers and she decided to start using a drill AFTER I started to bleed. She was still very nice however the removal process was incredibly poor and unprofessional. Will not be returning. before edit: First time getting acrylics and had a great experience with Vivian :) Very careful and gentle, great service, reasonable price, will be returning soon

Never did I ever imagine getting a Mani or Pedi... But now after about 1 yr I'm still doing it. These women are amazing!!! Always kind,friendly and polite. The service here is amazing,I never would consider going anywhere else!!! Every staff member is more than capable of doing a great job. I'm not sure why some people leave negative feedback....but it can only be that they are not nice and need to go elsewhere. Thank you for always being the way you all are!!!

I don't know what everyone is talking about. I heard there were new owners and wanted to see how they are and I love them. They had a big smile when my sister and I walked in. They were so respectful, friendly, professional. They took their time and some of their procedures are much better than any nail salon I have been to, and their prices are great. They take pride in their work. I find the new staff and owner to be wonderful. Would recommend it to anyone P.S. My nails are beautiful!!!

This place is terrible. A few of the ladies on staff are quite sweet, but when you say "no" they just keep going with different things you should do. I got acrylics done there (atrocious job by the way) and upon getting them off she nearly ripped off my nail and didn't even get all the gel off. I had to goo home and get it off on my own. My nails have never been in such terrible shape after getting my nails done ever. I would definitely not recommend Helen's to anyone.

I don't normally write reviews, but because I work nearby and although I saw all of the negative reviews, I went anyway. I went tuesday afternoon around 1pm, and I saw Anna. She did a great job, and only her and another lady were there, and they were both very friendly. From what I understand the manager is difficult, but I had a nice experience and will be going back. My shellac manicure came to 34$ including tax and I was in and out in under an hour.

I have been going to this salon since Helen opened. The last few times have been just awful. They rush every single customer in order to start on a new one and make the most money they can in one day. I've been really dissatisfied with the quality, and the atmosphere. It used to be a nice friendly place where the staff looked like they had fun, now most of the good ladies have left. I would say don't waste your money - go somewhere else.

High quality and great work every time! I have been coming here every three weeks for the past year for acrylic fills and my sisters have been coming here for even longer. They are friendly and are very patient with us. They also let me know if they have new colours for me to try! Here I have posted some photos from the past year. I am very happy every time I visit.

This salon is 30 minutes from my house but my mom, 2 sisters and I all make the drive every 2 weeks because they do such an amazing job. I’ve gone to dozens of other salons, even in other cities, and no one has topped this place. The old owners weren’t great but this salon is truly amazing. Don’t believe the bad reviews. Give it a try and you’ll see for yourself.

I absolutely loved getting my nails done here. Winnie did my nails perfectly and she was such a pleasure to speak with. Due to a longer wait time, they let me use the massage chair, offered water and coffee, and made wonderful conversation. I would love to come back here again. ❤️

New staff took over. They are sweet kind, accomadating and good at their job... my semi perm nails would never last prior to these ladies taking over. Now I go to them and I can push it to 3 weeks. Thank god cuz they are in such a convenient spot for me.
