They do as little work as possible and dont know the legislation, or actual laws.One member Deborah Moss told me not to respond to the other parties submission!!! totally outside of any rights to a response in law, why was i there...clueless and the registrar ignores these incredulous actions outside of laws and rights.A member ringrose published I admitted to something which was his imagination and is not on the audio of the hearing!Registrar just ignores these things, its an absolute joke, the culture there is based on a clear abuse of power.only a minority of tribunal members do their role in accordance with laws & ncat code.If you are a cheater, welcome to NCAT Penrith office! the most ludicrous system established which is of no use in this state since they ignore rights to legislation and abuse their roles and seem to indulge in doing whatever they like.

A very very very bad experience with the hearing. The member seemed to be very biased towards the real estate agents and would hurry up with the legal jargons and we were helpless and was unable to explain the matter in a proper manner as they had already made up their mind. Also they don't read any paperwork that they make us do. It's a complete waste of time, energy,and money. Very biased and non trustworthy institution. Would recommend the tenants to settle the matter outside of this to avoid disappointments and also the time and money invested in doing the documentation. Also to avoid mental agony.

Absolutely useless place. You get all the junior members adjudicating here because it is not the main NCAT. The conciliator is biased and he knows very little about the law and always are on the side of realestate agent. The adjudicating members don't bother reading the complaint before the hearing. Like many other so called complaints authorities in NSW this one is another biased and toothless tiger. It is time that a proper consumer court is established in NSW with qualified judges to look into consumer and tenancy cases rather than leaving it to a bunch of incompetent and biased people at the NCAT.

People works in the Penrith office are really lazy, nothing offence but their working attitude makes you feel like they are here only for killing time. They give free assist to people who keeps lie and does not make any action even we put evidence on their table right in front of them. TOTALY HOPEPLESS!!!! They never question what people lies about, never ask for evidence. If you are a cheater, welcome to NCAT Penrith office.

Went in to recover our money from a small business who took it and ran. Came out with a bill and a slap on the a$$. Although we "won", now we have to foot more filing fees to take them through local courts. I've said it before and I'll say it again - the system is utterly broken. Do not go in expecting the Tribunal member and process to be considerate, thorough and just.

I had my matter listed for the hearing, Tribunal member S Smith who run the hearing; firstly he call 10min prior to the hearing time, he did not go through the submission at all. He was in rush and have made his decision prior to running the matter. He was not ready to listen, It is the worst registry and poor service. It was denial of procedural fairness.

Stuart sutherland member couldnt even interpret wording on a simple order which stated OR OTHER, and actions parties to have a lawyer Not Fully based on reasons Required under the civil administrative act or even allow a party to give a response regarding the request! .the place is a joke...clueless tribunal member wasting tax payers money

Total waste of time, very disappointing. People go there for genuine reasons and the dishonest get richer. The system is broken, bring back the good old days, when good, honest, working class Australians still had good honest law.

This morning I have made a call and explaining a situation for advise, but the agent disconnected the call... It was so rude, I felt helpless. There should be some action whoever does it that way to clients.

I think the member did a really good job. He reserved and provided written reasons which made it clear.
