We were worried when booking this motel because reviews were all over the place (but many negative ones). I truly don't know why, though. We took a chance, and so glad we did!! The young woman at the front desk was amazing. The room is bright, clean, and spacious. We stayed in 2 other motels this week, and this room was by far the roomiest!! The microwave was a bit lopsided (missing a foot), and there was no light in the microwave cubby, but those are never major concerns for us. The wifi, for those who need it, is super fast (even with a full house). The tile floors brought back great memories of our travels abroad.❤️ About a 5-10 minute walk to the little downtown area, or a 10 minute drive into Sherbrooke with the bigger box stores and chain restaurants. We will definitely stay here again next time we pass through.

Chambre minuscule mal entretenu des trou dans les mur la céramique briser ..le mobilier n'a clairement jamais été changer depuis l'ouverture de l'hôtel mini frigo qui ne refroidit rien Dutout aucune prise de courent près des lit ...en 2022? L'eau de la douche qui refoule dans l'évier de la sale de bain qui elle même n'est pas Asser grande pour contenir une seul personne..Pour la tv seulement quelques poste disponible et elle est trop vieille pour proposer des plateformes de visionnement... sincèrement j'ai dormi dans des motel clairement mieux pour moins chère en plein centre-ville de Montréal...j'vous conseils d'investir un peu plus et d'aller ailleur ... Et lol la réponse des propriétaires... justement j'ai déjà payer bien moins chère pour du 3 étoiles...do better

1st Review from 5 years ago.Wonderful Wonderful!! Fantastic refurbished older motel with extras from the high end hotels like soft, soft towels and high end toiletries. Manager Marie Francois was a gem. So helpful. Our trip from N.Carolina was enhanced by our stay here for 3 days. And the price is great for what you get. 2nd review after visit Oct 2023- Continues to be updated and exceptionally clean. New manager Laura goes out of her way to get any request done perfectly! A gem in Sherbrooke!

La déco des chambres a connu de jours meilleurs, mais pour le prix ce n'était pas si pire. Au moins c'était très propre. Vers minuit on a eu un problème avec le calorifère qui continuait à chauffer malgré avoir réglé le thermostat, et rendait la chambre comme une fournaise malgré qu'on ait ouvert l'air climatisé pour essayer de compenser (!). Heureusement, on a pu contacter la dame à l'accueil qui nous a changé de chambre en dedans de 5 minutes.

Seigneur qu'est ce que c'était sale, la douche était tellement bouchée que l'eau ne s'écoulait pas après l'avoir ouvert 5 secondes, le trou était plein de cheveux, il a fallu des mois et des mois sans nettoyer pour arriver à un tel tas de cheveux. La cuvette des toilettes était partiellement noire, sous la lunette il y avait poils et traces d'urine. Une véritable catastrophe, à 100$ la nuit c'était une belle arnaque A éviter à tout prix !

I only went her because it was the cheapest place for me to stop for a night between Maine and Montreal, but I was surprised by how nice the place was. The manager kindly put me in a room with no guests neighboring me, so it was very quiet. The room was clean and very modern looking, like what I would expect at a nice chain hotel. I definitely think this is about the best value I’ve ever experienced.

Motel Le Refuge is wonderful! Super clean and comfortable. The owners live on site and are available for any questions or needs you may have. Check out the website for room descriptions. My stay was in Room 6. Newly renovated with a rainfall shower! The coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator were great additions. Great location for staying close to Bishop's University!

L'organisation bien que petite est 100% dédier à offrir un bon service. J'étais impressionner de la qualité pour un 2 étoiles. Les chambres étaient très propre. Les matelas sont confortables. Les prix sont bon. Je recommande et j'y retournerais volontier.

Mauvais accueil de la part du personnel. Senteur de poisson a l ail dans le bureau principal et dans la chambre réservée, Probablement que ça circulait dans la ventilation.Frigo non fonctionnel. Trou dans le matelas. Nous avons dû quitter la chambre!!!!

The only negative we could come up with was that the rooms are pretty small. But I still consider this a 5-star experience for the reasonable price. Receptionist was friendly and gave recommendations for dinner at local restaurants. In fact, we wanted to extend our stay a 2nd night but, unfortunately, they were booked up. More

Nous sommes allés pour un nuit pour notre famille de 4. Pour une nuit, c'est parfait et pas dispendieux. Les lits sont confortables. Par contre, le réfrigérateur était un peu trop petit et la section congélateur était plein de glace, donc non accessible. Pour un cour séjour c'est bon, mais pas plus...

Great customer service. Very clean and comfortable bed. English speaking which was appreciated. Lovely sitting area outside under an enormous tree ...so large the branches are like an umbrella, keeping you out of the sun.

Very pleasant one night stay although the bed was very soft in both couple’s rooms, so NOT rolling into the middle was a challenge! Good value for the money, regardless. Clean and perfect for one night. Front desk gal was cheerful and helpful immediately getting us extra pillows when we asked.

Excellent service, grande chambre, pas de tapis dans la chambre, frigo et micro-onde, air climatisé, tranquille, chiens peuvent être acceptés.

Hotel correct pour le prix. Assez bruyant... Pas de rideaux opaque, donc la lumière entre très tôt dans la pièce.matelat à changer. Donc à moins d être obligé de venir ici...comme moi car toute les hotels du secteur réservée. .. éviter même si la personne a l accueil est sympathique.

We stayed here for two nights and the room was in decent condition. Room had microwave and coffee maker which I think should be a standard across all motels. Location wise its in good location within Lennoxville and only a 10 min drive to downtown Sherbrooke. 10/10 would recommend.

Clean and comfortable. The AC in our room was very loud but otherwise we had a comfortable stay.

For the price it's worth it. Fairly clean. There were a few hairs we found here and there, for example, the towels and sheets. However for an overnight stay where you need a place to rest your head it's great value.

Pleasant stay in a clean room with all the basic essentials including a microwave and fridge. Mattress was too soft for my preference but I still appreciated the warm and cozy room. Pet friendly too which is great!

Very decent motel with nice friendly staff, English speakers in Sherbrooke are valuable, and the staff are bilingual. Not a lot of negatives... Wish the walls were a little thicker but all said, great stay.

Location was very convienent to go to foresta Lumina. There were a few restauarants and grocery stores nearby and the room was clean and comfortable.

Good place to stay the night near Bishop's University. Spacious rooms with microwave, bathtub and tv. Radiator can be loud if you're not used to it.

The manager is very polite.The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable unlike some motels.

I would say the staff and service get full marks, our room was fine it was nice and clean and fulfilled the purpose for our stay.
