product 9/10 service 1/10 I bought a pearl necklace and the product was pretty much perfect BUT, the customer service was appalling and terrible. It was a big built guy that got annoyed and shook his head because I opened the box to inspect the product and he had to put my necklace back in the box for me and tie up the bag again (bowtie). I'm sorry it was such a big effort for you His response: "This is why customers need to trust us when they do click and collect. It's going to perfect when they open the box they just got to trust us" I'm sorry if I want to make sure it's perfect in person in case I need to come back to deal with your attitude. Also, most customers do click and collect because they want to inspect it in person. If you don't understand that , you really should not be working in customer service or sales. Your logic of "customers should just trust us" is literally if like I didn't want to show my ID to collect because you guys should just trust customers when they are saying who they claim to be.

I came in for a wedding band. We looked at a few rings, and they had only 3 sizes of one standard ring. We asked if they have different sizes in stock but they didn't. And apparently the ones they had on display were the only wedding rings they have in stock. Once we got the price we had all the add on care plans. White gold needs to be cared for so the extra plans, that's fine but she asked if we know about white gold. My partner knew, but she asked for him to explain it to her..what......it made us uncomfortable. And because all they had was the ones on display it would take 6 weeks to get a new ring, or take the display rings and pay an extra $80 to get the display rings resized The total price was over our budget and because we didn't feel comfortable, so we said we need to think about it. She wasn't happy at all and mood changed. Anyways bad experience. Won't be back.

My partner and I went to the store to find an engagement ring. We already visited a few other jewelry store. However, the staff James at this store is very experienced and knowledgeable and helped us to confidently pick a ring. He also showed us the ring via the 10+lens and could tell us the difference between the rings we were looking and we were so blown away by how clear and flawless the diamond looks like under the lens. Upon checking with other jewelry store, MH is the only brand that offer the life long care plan for if the diamond is chipped or lost during normal wear, they would replace it free of charge (half year inspection required). It gives me a peace of mind to wear an expensive and shinning ring everyday rather than putting it somewhere safe at home. Great customer service from James and Rico and would definitely visit again in the future.

Disappointed with service. The rings looked lovely but my fiancé and I weren't greeted by anyone, and after waiting to see the mens wedding bands we just didnt feel like any of the staff were interested in seeing if we needed help. Then someone else walked in and someone greeting them and started helping straight away. Also due to the rainy weather I think, the store smelt very damp. So we left. Im sure its not the experience of every day but Im almost glad we didnt get served as Im not confident they would have really helped us.

While Michael Hill normally offers great products backed up by excellent customer service this store is the complete opposite. I watched them ignore my wife, reluctantly unlock the door for her (during business hours), reluctantly serve her and waste time on the computer just to say that the system is broken. The staff at this store don't want to even work for their salaries. If you want the Michael hill level.of service go elsewhere. These people are ruining the brand's reputation. Don't waste your time and money

I dropped off an opal ring to have repaired on the 7th of October. After waiting for about 6 weeks I followed up and was told the ring still wasn't ready. I do understand it's the holiday season and a busy period so I waited until today, 28th of December to call again to check on the status. Apparently the ring was at the store, waiting to be picked up since the 14th of October and nobody bothered to call and let me know. Not really good enough. Poor management. Disappointed to say the least.

I had terrible experience at Micheal hill George street. I visited the store for my ring inspection and resizing. All I can say is, Micheal hill should be embarrassed to have rude, unprofessional staff in their city store. They didn't sign my paper work for the inspection, and they caused more problem for me for the next inspection. An Asian lady and a middle eastern lady were super rude! Shame on Micheal hill to have such unprofessional staff

last night around 8.30pm 17/10/19 we walked in to this store to enquire about a diamond wedding band my wife liked. The sales lady who served us asked us if we saved enough to buy the ring, I was disgusted and extremely offended by what she was insinuating. The experience is so bad that my wife and I vow to never walk into any Michael Hill Jewellery store ever again. For the record we ended up buying a similar style at Tiffany & Co

I love my wedding band that I bought here... However every time I went to this store I was met with such rude staff who looked at me as if I just came off the bottom of their shoe. They need to learn that not everyone fits the typical customer profile. I don't want to feel like I need to wear some premium outfit and have my makeup and hair done just to buy a ring or resize my ring. 3 times I have been met with the same attitude.

The staff here are so snooty! Three of them completely ignored my entrance to the store despite there not being anyone else there. I asked to try on a ring I had seen online and it was like asking a teenager to pick up their dirty clothes from the floor. I had hoped to see other similar items in store as well but just ended up leaving. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming.

I got a platinum ring from this shop and I absolutely loved it. The staffs there were excellent especially for Kaylie. She was trying so hard to explain what's the difference between each of the rings to me who fully has a broken English. Also, she even gave me the best offer for the ring. I'm super happy buying the ring with Micheal Hills this time

Bad business ethics Tried to visit the store around 8 minutes before closing as thats the only time i can arrive after work. Already started packing up and won't let anyone in. If your operating hour says 9-5 then you open 9-5. No customer gives a s*it that you gotta pack up and go home on the dot. Owner should be aware of this.

I walked in to find two sale assistants and only one of them serving. The available one made no effort to move from her spot to help me and gave me the ‘you can’t afford to be in here’ look. I swiftly left and went to another jewellers. Just call me Julie Roberts I guess.

Got an exceptional service from Kaylie. She was so kind in explaining all different rings to me. She even stayed back 30 mins after their closing hours to help me out with the sale. She is definitely worthy of a raise and will definitely go back to this store again.

I bought a new Onxy ring only last week. Less than a week I saw the scratches and went back to Michael Hill George street they said it's wear and tear and refused to even polish... Such a ripper they are... Shame on you guys

The chain on my two month old necklace snapped. MH staff said they couldn’t figure out how it broke and therefore couldn’t replace it even though I had a receipt and it was under warranty. Don’t buy from them.
