Conveniently located right next to Artarmon train station they have an excellent range of Japanese goods here. I needed around 8 items for a dish I wanted to make and they had everything I needed. I was able to find half of these myself and asked for some help to find the rest. The assistant there provided excellent and friendly service, enthusiastically guiding me to the ingredients I needed as well as helping with translations and offering advice. With such a great range and outstanding customer service I will definitely be shopping here again.

Was having no issue with this shop before, food and price are good from there, except today, the staff accidentally hurt my hand while she was mopping. I mean it’s ok as accident happens as we know, yet she didn’t even say a sorry! When I went to check out and told her I was upset that even you hurt my hand, you don’t say a word to be sorry! She looked at me and just spoke very low, “sorry about that”. But yeah, I don’t feel she was sorry. Too upset with the store having this kind of staff!

Pay in cash and it’s slightly cheaper. Super busy on every second Saturday of the month as they offer 20% off for cash payment or 17% if paying by card. Love this place!

A med sized Japanese grocery store with a decent selection of products. It may be a little hard to find things as the space is utilised to the max and items are stocked here, there and everywhere. It is just as well that a friendly staff is always available if you just can't spot the item you need. They also have a good selection of frozen products, many are imported from Japan. Also look out for fresh sashimi when they are available.

One of my go to market to get Japanese ingredients. One thing that's unique to this place is that they seem to make some of the frozen and/or prepackaged foods. However, that also means if you're looking for brand name items, you won't find it here (no prepackaged curry, for example, except for their house brand). So if you are looking for salted salmon belly or even shichirin (Japanese bbq equipment), this is the place to go.

I have ordered Hina matsuri special chirashi and sakura mochi. Both of them taste so bad... The owner should have the taste before passing it to the customers. I have ordered Osechi as well on December. It was also very bad taste. I guess they made food in advance then keep them in fridge many days... Do not order some special bento.. wasting money

Our first visit but was met with a closed door Turns out they have shortened trading hours every second Sunday of the month... wish google maps have the function to put in exceptional hours but ye. I should have called.. 5 stars for being nice enough to put up a sign. But we will be back and will give an update review then

great japanese grocery stock, i usually take advantage of their lucky day (20% storewide with some minor exceptions) to buy things - can get very busy on that day you have to line up. the staff are lovely and helpful. there's a lot of japanese stuff you can't get anywhere usually.

It offers extremely wide range of authentic Japanese ingredients and easy to cook semi-processed Japanese cuisine (Great for Japanese food lovers who don't wanna bother cooking from scratch) at RESONABLY PRICES. Also the staff (or the owner) is very polite and fluent in English.

This was a great Japanese supermarket. A good range of products. Some of which I hadn't been able to find elsewhere. The service was friendly and helpful. Also keep an eye on their Facebook page. I found out about some really interesting products like coffee jelly that way.

What a pleasant surprise. We have just been looking for a gelato place in Artamon. Found the gelato, liked it, but then realized that we are in the middle of a Japanese cluster of delight. And the grocery store had a lucky day of discounts for us. What a treat.

Fantastic japanese grocery store with lucky day sales monthly! Always busy and well stocked. Great selection of frozen wagyu beef, BBQ meats, snacks, drinks, ramen and sauces. When in season, they also have fantastic sea urchin but you need to get in quick!

They have 20%off sale once a month. But it's cash only. For a credit card user it's only 17% discount. It should be written in their sale's ad. This tiny shop has very narrow corridor therefore the costomers push each other with their shopping basket.

Refused to sell my small daughter an ice cream! We were going to go back as although only a small range of products very expensive looked good. Will never shop there again. There are many other welcoming Japanese markets

A nice little Japanese grocery store which has a 20% off discount storewide every second Saturday of the month. I found one of the best Wagyu beef for Japanese yikuniku there for 19$/500g (15$ with the discount).

This is a small grocery situated on Wilkes Avenue, Artarmon. As the name suggests, they specialize in Japanese groceries. The range is extensive. On Saturdays, they seem to be reasonably busy.

Great for Japanese snack that are a bit pricey but hard to find elsewhere. Seems to be a good variety. Pleasant, efficient staff, easy enough to park on the street for a quick visit.

Love coming here for specific Japanese grocery such as ox tongue and specific meet marinade for Yakiniku. Friendly staff always helpful in answering product questions.
