LYB has been my favorite gym experience hands down. They’re truly inclusive, especially of different body types and goals. I especially appreciate that there are no mirrors all around the gym haha. I go to the group classes, of which there’s a variety with many schedule options throughout the week, which you can easily track and book using their app. You can also keep a record of your personal bests and the different sessions on the app. The classes vary in intensity and type of exercise, but even within a group setting, trainers give you individual attention and alternate options when needed. I also love the classes that focus on form and technique, like the Barbell Basics class (shout out to Steph!), which are super important when we’re working with heavy weights. It’s rare to get that kind of attention and learning, outside of one on one personal training. I’ve been to other gyms where I feel self conscious, or face assumptions about what I might (not) be capable of doing due to my size, but things have been different at LYB. Having an awesome trainer like Steph make it such a fun and rewarding experience (with the best music choices), giving me confidence and motivating me to keep coming back. She also has expansive knowledge and gives me specific information about dealing with soreness and back pain issues, while also adjusting the workouts for me when needed. Thank you for everything!

So I’ve been attending this gym for almost a year and I have never felt so part of a community. In 2020, I began going to fitness classes, I’ve tried so many spin classes, F45, hot yoga and a competing gym in Westboro and I never felt like more than just a number, it was very transactional. When I joined Love Your Body, I found a place where I finally belonged. Where the coaches not only remember you, but actually take the time to talk to you, correct your form and they really care about your success. Through this gym, I’ve got to know my neighbours and meet new people. In the last year, my fitness and form has improved so much and look forward to attending. I try to go at least 4 days a week. The workouts change every day and they are always fun. One of the great things about this community is that everyone is so supportive. In class there are people of all ages and fitness levels and it is great to see everyone work hard to finish the workout. You are pushed to your limit by coaches who know what your are capable of and want to see you succeed. Also, they have pink barbells, which give a boost of encouragement during a hard session. The only negative about this gym is that they love making us do burpees, while they aren’t my favourite movement, I always feel accomplished afterwards. Every workout at Love your Body truly makes you love your body and what it is capable of.

Love Your Body Fitness is one of the best fitness teams I've trained with! The workouts are quick and dirty which is exactly what I need as a mom of a newborn and toddler. Each day there is a new and unique workout that will get your heartrate up, make you sweat, work your muscles, and make you feel great about yourself! The Zoom classes are amazing as they make you feel like you are part of a class so you really push yourself. The instructors are knowledgeable and ensure that you are doing each exercise properly and are also happy to give you alternative exercises to meet your needs. The classes are recorded so you can fit the workout in whenever you can. And, with each class only being 20-30min, there's no excuse not to fit it into your day. Kate and her team have also set up coaching calls to keep you accountable and on the right path to achieving your goals. I highly recommend Love Your Body Fitness!

Kate and her trainers are exceptional. They are focused on helping moms who are tired and busy to also carve out time for themselves to make them feel better, get stronger, and as a bonus, look better. Workouts are short and effective, and there are always modifications provided to those who need them. There are many classes to choose from in a week that are live, where trainers can provide support and coaching. In addition, most sessions are recorded for use any time, any day, for those who can't make the dedicated times. Kate also has accountability call sessions to help clients with their fitness goals. She is overall an amazing human being doing an amazing job helping others, and I am so grateful I found her after I gave birth to my first child. I am now doing classes after giving birth to my second child, and loving it!

Kate and her team of trainers are the best in town. I started training with Kate after the birth of my second baby and she successfully trained me through that postpartum time, a third pregnancy and now a third postpartum period. She understands that all bodies and goals are different and works tirelessly to create individualized programs to make sure her clients feel as healthy and strong as possible. Her mom classes are terrific, the only class in the city that welcomes children of all ages and kicks your butt at the same time. I’ve had the opportunity to work with her other trainers and they are as terrific as she is - embodying her workout philosophies at every workout. Finally, Kate and her team are nice, fun and funny - spending time with any of them is always the best hour of my day.

I did boot camps with Kate during both of my maternity leaves for my two daughters and loved them. When the pandemic hit, I started running with my husband but wanted to add some strength and variety to my workouts. I was really excited when I learned about Kate’s flexible virtual classes. I am now doing 4-5 classes per week with LYB, which my husband and I do together after work (with help from our kids!). We love that the workouts are efficient and challenging, and we love how much stronger we feel. It’s our way of shaking off the day (and getting our butts kicked together) before we make dinner and start our evening as a family! Kate offers the most fun, challenging and supportive classes - highly recommend!

I was nervous at first to start personal training, but am so glad I found Love Your Body. The owner Kate was very helpful and supportive during the initial consultation and made herself completely available to answer any questions I had. I started working with Cathy in November 2022 for PT and it’s truly been such a happy addition to my life. I’m amazed I was ever nervous, because now I genuinely look forward to every session at LYB. The community aspect is excellent and it’s a very inclusive and body positive gym. Could not recommend LYB more! Update: I’ve since also worked with Steph for PT and she is also fantastic. Her energy and positivity is so motivating, and I’ve learned so much from her!

Love your body is THE home you didn’t know you needed. As a non-gym person, I love the small family feel at LYB where you get to know all the coaches and other members and it’s an inclusive environment for everyone. After the pandemic and having a baby, I was looking for motivation and a structure again to improve my physical and mental wellness and I found it at LYB. The 45 minute cross fit style classes are perfect to improve skills and get some cardio, and I’ve benefitted so much from the weekly coaching calls and monthly challenges which sets LYB apart from other places. Lastly, the daily family bootcamp classes and ability to bring your kids to any classes is like no other place.

I’m so happy to have found Love Your Body fitness! After having 2 kids & struggling to recover from pelvic organ prolapse, I was unsure about group classes. I’m glad I took a chance! The outdoor workouts have been wonderful. Challenging, accessible, and welcoming. The instructors can adapt the program with ease without making it boring or too easy. I was also encouraged to see a pelvic floor physiotherapist - a great sign! I’ve made so much progress in less than 2 months. From only walking, biking, and lifting 10lbs, to running, jumping, and lifting 30lbs without any increase in prolapse symptoms! I feel so much stronger and have enjoyed the social aspect immensely too.

Love Your Body (LYB) is a great gym that is inclusive and supportive. The coaches are amazing, from demonstrating the workout movements, providing scaling options or alternatives movements. They work hard to ensure everyone gets the best workout possible, no matter your fitness level or if you have an injury. Tarryn’s positive vibes really help me get through her challenging Saturday morning class. And Stephanie HG’s attention to technique and willingness to suggest different drills has helped me greatly improve my Olympic lifts! I greatly appreciated the online training option, especially during the pandemic, so no matter what I can always get my fitness in.

I am very happy with Love Your Body Fitness live online classes! I’ve been training with Kate and her team since 2013 and the 20 minute classes really kick my butt, I am usually sore for days. There are so many different times to choose from during the day and lots of variety in the programming, I never get bored! It’s nice to see the trainers in the live video, they keep me on track and they correct my form! The quick chats at the beginning/end of the workout with the group also make me feel connected and motivated! Love your body offers fun and effective classes and personal training, I highly recommend it! I started out with no experience, the staff was super helpful and built up my confidence and strength at just the right speed to push me but without overdoing it. The personal training was tailored to my body and needs, including to accommodate old injuries. When I was tired or wanted to give up, the staff kept me motivated! Most importantly, my daughter loves coming to watch and hang out and the team is really supportive of mom’s trying to balance home and working out.Thanks LYB! I have been a member for a few months now and I am so happy I joined. This place is not just a gym it is a community where I can go to work my a$$ off with a smile on my face. I am a busy dad of 3 and business owner so time is very limited. I need to work out to clear my head and deal with daily stress and anxiety. Fitness is very important to me but it is often neglected. Kate and the team have created an opportunity for me to improve my fitness and mental health in a safe place. I am a better husband, dad and business owner because of their amazing classes and support.

Not your average mom and baby workout group! When I moved back to the Ottawa area while on maternity leave I was looking for a place to exercise with my 4 month old in tow, and I hit the jackpot ! Not only are Kate's classes a GREAT workout, she and her trainers have truly built a special community. Even with things having moved online, Kate keeps me in shape (both physically and mentally) through her unreal, baby friendly, time sensitive workouts. Truly an absolute gift! A must check out for any mom's (or non mom's) looking for a great workout.

As a new parent there are so many obstacles when trying to get back into shape. Kate and the staff at LYB are so great at creating a welcoming atmosphere that help you overcome those obstacles. I wish I had started sooner after my first baby, but am happy to say I have been working out consistently since having my second child and feel stronger than ever. My mother in law and I joined this amazing group as a way to keep active during the pandemic - especially indoors during the cold weather. It was everything and more than we could ever expect from a fitness experience! Supportive staff, engaging workouts, and all of the staff have fostered a very inclusive community. I recommend anyone who is interested to make the jump and try it! It’s super flexible, they accommodate your limitations, and you feel good when you come out of every workout, I genuinely couldn’t ask for more!

I love how friendly supportive the staff at Love Your Body Fitness are. I like the group classes. Everyone works at there own rate, there is every shape, size and type of body and everyone fits in. Recently I have found great motivation and support from the other members during our workouts. They have been challenging me to work a little outside of my comfort zone and challenge myself. Committing to at least two classes a week is something I find easy to prioritize and is an important part of me learning to Love My Body. :)

This gym is so wholesome, welcoming, and fantastic! The trainer I was with was very knowledgable, motivating, and flexible with what exercises I did based on my goals & limits. I had never been to a gym before this - I was always too intimidated and didn't know where to begin. I signed up for some personal training to get me working out properly. I worked with Bailey as my personal trainer over 5 sessions recently and she was just great. I had a shoulder and neck injury for which I had received physio over the past months and Bailey reviewed all the info from the therapist and put into place some very targeted exercises to help improve my strength and mobility. I am so much better now, with Bailey's help, have numerous exercises I can do on own now and would recommend Bailey to anyone looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, experience PT.

Almost 6 months in, and I'm so glad I decided to register to LYB! It's really been great coming to this gym, very different from previous gyms I've been to, where there was basically no service. The whole LYB team does a tremendous job to make you feel like home, not judged. Coaches are so awesome! They prepare challenging but fun workouts, and I always feel accomplished after finishing one! LYB was recommended to me by one of my favourite Yoga Teachers when I was looking to try strength training for the first time. I've been attending weekly for almost a year. LYB is just the right thing for me. The classes are small, the instructors are fun, approachable and encouraging and the fellow patrons are friendly. Kate and her team have really created something special. I always leave feeling challenged but never pushed too far. I highly recommend this gym.

Amazing gym! I attended a family bootcamp (functional fitness) with a friend, both female late 50's. The coach was amazing, individually making sure each participant was working to their own level of fitness and actively suggesting modifications and ensuring correct form. I love the concept of this gym, such a great feel, motivating, self empowering friendly atmosphere! I found the family aspect of it added to the low stress, fun environment!

Love Your Body is fantastic. The whole place is so welcoming and fun. The coaches/trainers are so knowledgeable and encouraging. Our entire family is benefitting from training there including my teenage daughter who is recovering from ACL surgery. She is receiving amazing care and her trainer at LYB is working in conjunction with our athletic therapist and physiotherapist to optimize her training and rehab. Highly recommend!

Love Your Body Fitness is a gem of Westboro Village. The staff welcome clients and provide challenging workouts, which can be modified for all fitness levels. Coach Steph Dadzie has been coaching a lot of classes lately, I always love her classes as she energizes and motivates everyone while providing helpful cues and supporting clients’ progress. Can’t recommend this business enough for those looking to keep fit!

Love Your Body Fitness is an incredibly place! No matter what fitness level you are at or how you feel walking through the door, you ALWAYS feel better physically and mentally after a class or personal training session. A good burn and inviting atmosphere- I felt comfortable, motivated and supported throughout my experience.
