TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT GO HERE! My original car was in an unfortunate accident. I needed a car for my day to day drive to work. I had dropped off my car at the body shop and I was referred to Kaizen Rent a Car, by them. I received a 2017 Toyota Camry, when the car was given to me it was full of scratches and dents in every parts of the car; which included the front hood, back and front bumpers, and doors. When I noticed the damages, I had asked the car jockey if they knew about it and to ensure that I did not do those. The car jockey named Josh, had told me that they are fully aware of those scratches & dents and that I shouldn't have to worry about them. Once, I entered the vehicle the whole car smelled of smoke. When I got home, I inspected the car because the smell would not go away, I soon found a couple of cigarette butts under the driver seat and inside the driver door panel pocket. This car was not thoroughly cleaned to begin with, also the car was not washed as well. I'm usually not one to complain, but this was unacceptable. In my experience, I have never received a rental car with the conditions like these, especially for a new car (2017). Don't you inspect the cars before giving them to the customers? To make matters worse, when I returned the car on March 23rd, and 3 days after (March 26th) I got an email from Kaizen, stating that the car was damaged with scratches and dents..? How could this be, from day one I noticed the scratches & dents and I even told Josh right away before I accepted the car. Now they are trying to turn this around on me and to make it look like I did the damages. In addition, the email states that I needed to pay them $1,200 to repair the damages. Also if I don't reply to them by March 29th, 2018 at 2 pm, that they would contact my car insurance company to claim the damages. On March 28th, I went to Kaizen in hopes of resolving the issue and to tell them the truth about the car condition since day one. They showed me some photos of the before and after damages, but I was surprised when I saw them because the before pictures seemed like a brand new perfect vehicle with no damages to be seen. While the after photos included all the scratches and dents that I have noticed from the beginning. Also, they've admitted that damages had been done from the previous customers before. My question is, if the previous customers did the damages, why not fix the car first, before handing it over to the new customer? I'm sure that since this situation happened to the previous customers, that they would've been asked to pay for the initial damages, in order to return the car to good condition for the new rental term. The owner of Kaizen (male) named Evon/Ivan , spoke to me right before I left and said "I'll see you in court!" I never had any intentions to take advantage of this situation from anyone, but I don't want to be blamed for something that I didn't do. I should've read the reviews from other customers, before using Kaizen. If I could give them zero stars I would. From the way they handled this situation is very unprofessional and tried to rip me off. Don't make the same mistake as I did, steer clear from this rental company.

Wish I could give this company a zero star rating. What a bunch of crooks. During your time of need (after an accident when you need a rental) they do act helpful, however once you've signed a contract things go downhill pretty fast. Let me explain: 1) The cars they have suck - they smell like smoke, have high kms, have body damage and are generally not in the greatest condition. When you complain they will try and switch the car out for you (and tell you its a complimentary service), but you will get another car delivered with the exact same issues. Beware though, all this 'friendly' service is going to cost you in the end. My first vehicle was not comparable to my personal vehicle that was involved in an accident, they ended up switching it out to a car that stunk of smoke. When I complained they said "there is nothing we can do about people smoking in our vehicles". Hmm, I wonder how all other reputable companies handle this. Charge your clients a fee if they smoke and get the cars cleaned! Also both vehicles delivered to me came with just enough fuel to prevent stalling. Literally the gas light was on both times on the vehicles. Like really? I finally had it with the company and tried to cancel my rental. They told me there was a minimum 1 week rental period. I agreed to keep it for the week and told them I would drop it off after a week, to which they said ok. 2) After I dropped the car back they tried to claim I didn't bring it back at the right fuel level (empty as I got it). It was their mistake and they agreed, but shows their level of incompetence. Then to my surprise, after I returned the rental they decided to charge me over $170 for pick-up and drop-off fees that were supposed to be free and also were as a result of their dismal fleet of smelly vehicles. They claimed they had to charge me because I didn't keep the rental until my repairs were done. At no time did I sign that I would keep the car until my repairs were done. My only obligation was the one week rental period which I kept. Do not deal with this small shady company and stick with the reputable big car rental brands. The rates here are higher anyways and any 'value added' service comes at a hidden cost. Beware!

Thank You Kaizen Rent A Car for your awesome service. Just over 4 weeks ago I got into a car accident and my car was totaled. I needed a vehicle right there and then, since I had to be at work the next morning. Kaizen Rent a car came right to the spot of the accident and delivered the car (honestly, I was think a million things…which car rental place should I go to? are they going to be open (since it was a Sunday evening and everything is closed)? how am I going to get there? (bus, uber, taxi), would there be cars available for rental?….etc.). Contacted Kaizen, within 15 minutes, they came and gave me an Audi A4 and asked me to come the next day to exchange the car for something my Car insurance would cover. Thanks to the young man that come to drop off the car and did the paper works in 2 minutes. The next day, Rita called the insurance company and took care of everything. She even followed up with insurance after 2 weeks and took care of business. This whole time I only spent like 10-15 minutes of my time and Rita took care of the rest….. Much much appreciated…. And thanks for all the tips. She even talked to the insurance company and I got to keep the Audi A4 for over 4 weeks, instead of switching to another car. When it was time to return the car, I asked her if I can be dropped off to north of Brampton. She made arrangement and made sure I was dropped off. Thank you K. (don’t want to misspell your name) for dropping me off even though it was out of your way and you were very busy. Thanks for your tips regarding the purchase of a car and what my rights are and where to seek help from. I’m definitely coming to you guys for my next car rental…. Kaizen Rent a Car provided an on-site solution and had a Brand new 2018 Mazda 6 Sedan( <100km registered on vehicle) for me to drive away in and continue my day. This was paired with the blessing of my own Home and Auto Insurance Company that Kaizen Rent a Car could be the Solution Provider and when I mentioned their name, it was approved as my solution immediately. Kaizen's presence and solution saved me approximately 2 hours it would have taken me to get to an alternate site and then facilitate further insurance/ rental coordination. The Representative for Kaizen Rent a Car gently reiterated the process my insurance company advised me upon (which provided me with assurance in my own mind and confirmed I was being taken care of properly). With the dramatic events that occurred and looking back on the event in hindsight. I can say that I was very impressed in the manner in which, I was introduced to the vehicle as a temporary solution and given some brief insight into process and what would be best practice for me over coming days. To further secure my 5 star Impressive Experience, I was asked by the Agent on the phone and again upon drop off where I needed to go upon dropoff and they didn't hesitate driving me the 10 minute drive I required. I would not hesitate in referring a friend or colleague in need of a relaxed and Issue free solution to the People at Kaizen Rent Car. Thank you for your thoughtful and respectful service. Beyond horrible experience!!! Got into an accident on the 401, had my car totalled, and the worst thing about the whole experience was having to rent a car from Kaizen Rent A Car. After the accident the tow guy said he will have a rental car available within 10 minutes and the insurance company would take care of it. Do not make the mistake I made and first contact your insurance company before accepting these kinda offers. It might take a bit longer for your insurance company to get you the car, but atleast you won't have any unpleasant surprises later. First of all the car was pretty worn down with a lot of scratches and even had one of the hub caps missing. I did the walk around and tried noting down every scratch as much as possible. After I got the car, my insurance company calls and says that Kaizens insurance is too high and asked me to switch car to Enterprise as they are affiliated with them. Turns out Kaizen would have to pay a cancellation fee to Kaizen if we wanted to do that. What a sleazy rule to desperately cling on to customers. So my insurance company paid for the extra insurance. When I went to return the car, they managed to find a chip in the already dirty windshield which wasn't labelled before and got more money out of me to replace the windshield. Absolutely horrible experience, and if you have unfortunate experience of getting in an accident on the 401, and see Kaizen coming your way - you are better off running away and standing in the middle of 401

My Experience with Kaizen has been nothing but positive. One Sunday morning we woke up to find our car and our neighbor's had been hit by a drunk driver while parked. The car had to be taken to police impound for damage assessment and insurance to investigate. Meanwhile my wife needed a car for work and my neighbour recommended Kaizen Rent a Car and were glad he did. Kaizen had delivered a rental to us that afternoon following the call. Kaizen's representatives delivered a BMW 328 and our first impression was that the insurance was not going to cover the cost of a luxury rental. However because that was the only car they had on Sunday to rent us the charges were the same as an economy car and our insurance absolutely covered it. A week later when Kaizen called to tell us they were going to exchange the vehicle they did so without interrupting our work days as they showed up at my wife's place of work to make the exchange. The process was completely painless. There was nothing we had to do other than experience unparalleled service. Should we ever need a rental again without thinking twice it will be these guys.. Thank you for leading by example what customer service is. Cheers .

Best car rental company in Toronto. I would definitely recommend you to rent one here. Had an accident at night around 1AM and my friend referred me to them. I called them before i go and was surprised how late they work. Reached there within 30 mins, great staff, very professional and very kind. Car was ready, they gave me a beautiful black Mercedes Benz C300, loved it and any problem I had with it i’d just drive there and they would take care of it (for instance, the car ran out of water coolant, I drove there and they took care of it NO PROBLEM). It was late night when I got it and kinda hard to do a car inspection on a black shinny car, the staff themselves helped me highlight markes and/or scratches around the car that I couldn’t see. When I returned it, they did a vehicle inspection as well and saw something that I didn’t highlight when I got the car, it’s about $1000-$1500 to repair it just because it’s a Mercedes Benz, they really saved my life cause I’d have been screwed, other car rental companies would make you believe that you did it and get money off you like that. Used their car rental as a replacement car as my car was in for repairs. Decent experience. Got a two-year-old Ford Focus hatchback. The car was in pretty okay shape - some sounds coming at a certain speed but never broke down in the middle of the road. Heated seats were great in winters. With staff, there are a few issues. The person, who handed over the car, didn't do a proper paperwork. There were a few things missing for which we had to go to their office and get it all sorted out. The lady sitting at the desk isn't on her best behavior ever but she does her job pretty good. So, don't expect any goodies - but personally, I prefer to deal with people who do their jobs well and may behave rudely instead of someone behaving nice and screwing up the work. Also, I had asked them to let me know if an SUV is available then I would like to switch over to that. However, I never received any call - I can't imagine any SUV didn't free up in a three week period. I would still prefer Budget or Enterprise considering the overall experience.

I had to write this review for the simple fact that I had an amazing Customer Service experience. I rented a brand new Honda Odyssey with only 144km. After 3 days of having it I backed up into a blue garbage bin which was completely my fault. I was nervous but because I’m an honest person I told them what had happened in detail. One of the representatives came out to take a look at the van after I had sent him pictures, the scratch was about an inch and a half he looked at it and asked me if I was ok he made sure I wasn’t hurt and he said not to worry to have myself a wonderful day! I thought I would have to pay a few hundred dollars but he really made my day! I’m sure if it were any other company they would have made me pay for sure! Thank you Kaizen rent a car your the true meaning of Custmer Satisfaction.

This people are the worst professionals (not professional at all!) I've ever seen in any business. The car smelled crazy like cigarette, they promised to change the car and deliver it to my place. But when they realized that I don't want to continue my contract with them, they said that they're not coming to get the car as promised and I have to deliver it myself and even I couldn't drop the car and had to be between 10-5!! Just enough to ruin my work day. and this didn't stop here, they tried to screw me and charge me extra for the first 48 hours which was covered by my insurance any way but they did their best to threat me to charge me. The story was finished by them charging the insurance with triple the price for a small size smelly car!! Guys, don't rent a car from them, just run away!

got into an accident, got the rental from Kaizen and I was really happy with the services. I dealt with Krekor and he took care of all the paperwork, putting it through insurance etc. They gave me a 2013 Mazda I believe and it was a great rental. I had it for 3 weeks and they never harrased me or anything asking whats happening with insurance. If anything I got assurance from Krekor that I will not be charged anything extra. I work irregular hours at the bank and I was not able to drop it off so they went the extra mile and offered to come pick it up from my workplace which I thought was amazing customer service. They were prompt, efficient and it was a good experience with them.

It was a great experience dealing with Kaizen rentals, the staff are professional and polite. After I have been involved in a car accident and needed a car on a family day, it was not a problem for a Kaizen rental to deliver it to your door. Although the insurance company advised me to switch to one of their rental companies, I rejected and remained with Kaizen rentals for two reasons. 1. I like to support small businesses. 2. The rental company that is recommended by your insurance company will not help you if your insurance do not pay for your rental. Thank you Kaizen rentals for your help.

My first car was involved in a tragic accident in August 2020. Through a friends recommendation I was referred to Kaizen. Krekor and Evon helped me through my accident every step of the way, even giving me pointers on what to say to my insurance company to ensure I wasn’t pinned at fault and how to get the most money from my claim. The rented car was clean and a 2018 model. Furthermore, my current daily driver (2003 Acura TL) was also purchased from them and still runs like a champ to this day! Also, Krekor is an honest mechanic and I still take my car there to this day! Highly recommended!

After my accident I had one of their car jockey show up on scene to get me in a rental. I was wary at first because I wasn't sure what to expect but I needed a car for work and since it was late night I wasn't in the position to be picky. Glad I went with them because their guy did a great job explaining the situation and I didn't have to go anywhere to pick up a car. My car ended up being written off by the insurance but I had their secretary help me deal with the insurance to get the most money for my car. Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend Kaizen to anyone.

I was referred here after an accident and I am so glad I found them. Everyone I dealt with was super courteous and hospitable. The associate that dropped off the rental was very patient with me during the walk through. I didn’t feel rushed and he explained the process, answering all of my questions. My insurance didn’t cover the whole time of my rental and I was shocked at how affordable their rates were. At drop off, I had my 5 year old with me, and the team was very accommodating while I waited for pick up. They went out of their way with him, thanks Rita!

After my accident, I was recommended Kaizen. I was super lucky, to have them. As anyone knows who's been in an accident, it feels like the sky is falling. Kaizen lifted a weight off my shoulders. They dropped off a car immediately, and when I found my car seats wouldn't fit comfortably, they arranged for a switch at my convenience (an awesome brand new Honda Odyssey). the customer service really went above and beyond. 1 star is too many! Lied about the car I would receive (stuck me in a tiny Comapct when I was promised an SUV. It was so small my child's car seat not stroller would fit in it, lied about the terms of the rental. Altered my contract fraudulently after the fact. By far the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with car or otherwise. These guys don't know the fist thing about customer service. Stick with a reputable national car rental company and save yourself a ton of headache and heartache.

Kaizen Rent-A-Car was great. Yvonne(sp) was incredibly helpful, straight forward with the facts and reliable. Had a car (2020 Toyota) waiting for us at the collision center. This car had a much higher value than my 2006 Toyota Matrix that had been written off from the accident. He answered all my questions and made sure we had everything we needed. I received excellent service from Kaizen. After getting into my accident Kaizen came directly to the accident reporting centre to bring my vehicle at 11:30pm. They were extremely accommodating. A week later I was required to switch out my rental vehicle and they sent an employee to my office in Mississauga to bring me a new vehicle and take the one had! Worst service of any company ever. To put it bluntly don't support this company. Rude, highly disorganized. Booked online loaded Cc details. Waited and waited. Called, told could not book drop off for Sunday as closed. Asked to re book and they would take care of it. Waited and waited. Called again. Was told not available. So why not just say so on day one. Wasted 5 Days. When to buddyscarrental, was booked and confirmed in under 1 hr.

Don’t rent a car here be warned!!!! They are liars and like to take advantage of people and they have the worst costumer service especially the manager with the glasses extremely rude and disrespectful to the customer. I mean really if the manager is disrespectful what should we expect from the employees. Should change her and open new management in my opinion as quick as possible. I rented a car from Kaizen because my vehicle got into an accident. I picked up a white honda civic and i was shocked to find out that i had brand new winter tires. The car and the winter tires came in handy especially this past saturdays storm! The only complaint I have was there was no snow brush or scraper and i forgot mine in the vehicle! Anyway thank you for the service and especially the winter tires!

worst experience ever!. Rude staff, had to rent a car after an accident, tow truck driver took us there. We rented vehicle for 12 days, we live in niagara, they insisted we bring to back to their location. I had a scratch on their vehicle, staff gave me a shake down.. "our deductibel is $5000, or pay $700 cash out of pocket. No insurance or waiver offered. NEVER do business with these folks.

Rented a car from Kaizen after my accident and got a brand new Honda Civic which i was extremely happy with. Upon Returning the vehicle there were no hidden fee's and no hassle (I had rented from a different company previously which charged me all sorts of hidden fee's) I highly recommend Kaizen if you're looking to deal with honest, reliable & hard working people.

I have rented from multiple rental companies over the years and Kaizen was a notch above the rest. The process was seamless and the service was exceptional. I received a brand new Civic and once I returned it the owner gave me a ride to take me back to my home nearby. Overall great people and a great company. Renting from any other company is a mistake.

I rented a Mazda 3 for almost 2 weeks from Kaizen rental....I was very happy with the customer service that Evon and his staff provided....excellent! They brought the rental car to my mechanic shop and give me a ride back home when I returned the car. I will recommend anyone to use this rental service...I will definitely rent from Kaizen in the future.

this place is amazing! The people that work here are soooo easy to deal with. I had an accident just before the long weekend and they found me a car. I thought I was doomed because it was the Friday of a long weekend and not even enterprise could help me but Kaizen made it quick, easy and stress free. I will never use another rental place again!

Carin very good condition! Delivery was fast and opens on weekends. Big help of that! People there are nice and very very efficient! The whole returning process costs me 3 minutes! The only thing that I would like to say is that it is very hard to find their office… very hard… you guys really need put a big sign on the wall of that pathway.

A grade above all the others!. In a time of need and when Enterprise dropped the ball, in promising to call back with a car available for us, Kaizen was there for us in twenty minutes with a car rental, after hours! We would highly recommend Kaizen as a first choice in car rental. The best in customer service and customer care!

They refused to make a reservation on the phone and directed me to the online system and promised that they will email me to let me know if it is available. I waited for 2 weeks, no response to my online reservation for two weeks, I had to call again to ask. Worst experience, do not recommend at all.
