Having just moved into the neighborhood, I recently visited a closeby Jak's cold beer and wine. I had been somewhat of a regular at their New West location, and also shopped at the Coquitlam store quite often last year.Both have consistently outstanding service. Aaaaanyway, My current local Jak's did not have any of the items that I often purchase in stock. I asked, and apparently none of the items are ordered on a regular basis.As I mentioned, I'm new to the hood. I requested that even just ONE of the products could be stocked, as I would be purchasing them regularly. I was informed in no uncertain terms that the stock that currently existed in the store was what is and will continue to be, available. As a result, I buy my products at an alternate local private store. Jak's. I'm disappointed, and unimpressed!!

For Customer Service i was impressed with this store! Decent Wine and Spirits selection but the Beer and Cider Selection was extremely poor! I was looking for the latest Sea Cider and was told none are stocked there! Best Cider in BC and you do not stock it? WOW! Should have at least 3 no matter how small or large ones store is! Then went on to look for some Fuggles and Warlock and Yellow Dog but went 0/3. A Passable Experience on one hand but for what i was after ill look more in reliable places!

A fantastic beer and wine store with really considerate staff. The family that owns this is currently working on rebranding but they have been in the business for years. An excellent selection of hard liquors, stints, and beers (including local breweries and craft beers). They also have an interesting selection of Asian spirits. The location is clean and welcoming and well laid out. Parking is limited on the street or nearby residential but they are on many transit routes.

The people who work here are great, they are super helpful and friendly. I went in looking for something to enjoy Friday night, ended up talking with the guy about bourbon for a bit. Went there again to browse their awesome craft beer section, guy told me you can get 4 craft tall ones with 10% (I think) off the purchase price. Helped me pick 4 I wouldn't of normally picked, I didn't enjoy the stout :( but still awesome service!

This is pretty much the only liquor store I go to now... Even if other ones are closer. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Good monthly deals, sometimes absolutely amazing deals that cannot be passed up. Really nice beer selection, and nice selection of local spirits too. Sad to see the Puppers (beer from Letterkenny) gone, but was incredibly excited to see them outside of Ontario.

The wine and beer selection here is fantastic, and they have a great, curated selection of spirits. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and can give you great recommendations. The best part is that, if you don't end up liking what you buy, you can bring it back for an exchange! What more can you possibly ask for?

Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable and friendly staff! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and was impressed by the selection for a store of this size. If you don't know what you want they can make great recommendations and if you do know what they want they probably have it at solid prices.

I always love going to Jaks. As a craft beer lover, they offer an extensive selection amongst various offers. I cant keep track of how many beers I've tried from here now! Love the staff - fellow brit! And they're always cheerful and happy to help. Jaks remains my favourite liquor store!

Good selection despite being a smaller store. Always manage to find something new and interesting. Also it's attached to a pub so it's nice to try something on tap and then wander next door and see if I can buy it to take home! Will return for sure!

Jak’s has a great selection of cold beer and cider. Plenty of local far off craft brews as well as the usual suspects and plenty of $9 6-packs. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The staff also dress sharp and look very respectable.

Always a great craft beer selection! Rotating options with knowledgeable, friendly staff to help you find something delicious. You pay a bit more than you would at a BC liquor store but the unique options make up for the price difference.

Very large and impressive selection of craft beer and cider. Premium prices but you pay for convenience since there are no other close liquor stores in the area. Also, the beers are cold and there usually are drink samplings.

Friendly, local. Thats all that matters. Oh, I suppose awesome selection of single beers counts. If you exit this facility, you have a party in your hands, or at least a relaxing sit back with a glass of X in your hand.

Good Service but their Store is a bit small and does not have any Bumper Crop Vodka Cooler Products. Does have Jaw Drop Gushing Grape which is one of my Favorites. Two Off for not having much of a selection.

I feel this weird vibe when I'm shopping from here, I don't know something is off. Should be my last visit and I hope I don't get to walk in here again, if I do then I'd have to take down this review.

Limited choices. Not all but some employees can be rude and unwilling to help so the customer service could be improved quite a bit to assure the same level of service no matter who is working there.

Needed to know if they had some certain types of beer. Called them, no answer, but I left a message. They called me right back. They had the exact 2 beers I needed. Super friendly and fair prices.

I love this place. everyone that works there is super great, especially Neil. He really knows the selection and is great at giving advice! I wish they had a points program though!

Their friendly staff always greets their patrons with a smile. Many products on their shelves so I have never been disappointed when I've shopped at Jaks. I always leave smiling.

Great folks and a very reasonable policy about returning a box of beer if it really isn't what you like. Don't abuse it, it's a small business with nice employees.

Many single beers, coolers for sale that are cold to sell. It's a little pricey but have many selections to try. They have free parking at the back of the alley.
