I am struggling to write a review about this place. After craving South Indian food, especially idli and vada for a week, we made the hour long trip to H2. We were the only clients and were asked to sit anywhere we wanted. Found the items we wanted on the last page and we were quick to order. Plain Idli and vada and masala dosa and for drinks a mango lassi and tea. The waiter thought I wanted idli and water?? Despite me pointing to her on the menu what I wanted. With flies all around, we waited.... the first thing that came out was sambar idli with vada in it. Not even close to what I asked for. And it's not even on their menu. Tried to explain myself and the waiter took the plate back. The manager then informed us that there is no more vada and we were given a plate of idli with sambar but no chutney. What on earth was the spice on the idli? Shouldn't be there. And they brought back the plate of sambar idli and told us that if we wanted vada, we could take them out of that plate. Seriously? Then received the mango lassi. What took so long? Save your money. Not worth it. The masala dosa was brought to the table oily and soggy instead of the crispy shell. By then we just wanted to eat and leave. Soon after, we received the tea that was very sweet and served with more sugar on the side. Really? 30 minutes to make tea? The waiter came after we ate half the dosa with another dosa and said that the chef was not satisfied with the previous one and was sending us another one. Wait, why send a not good enough one in the first place? We asked for it to go and a few minutes later, asked for the other half of the dosa we were eating from to go as well. And they just added it to the same box. Should we be surprised? The manager tried to explain that the waitress is new and in training. Then why not shadow her and make sure she is doing her job well? Similar mistakes were done to the table next to us. Seriously, now that I think about it, why did I even tip you? The 2 stars is just because the flavours were decent but not good enough, and 1 more star because they still tried to somehow fix their service problems.

equally flavorful & pricy i got coconut lamb, a roti, and mango lassi delivered at 2:00 because that was when i had the munchies. as far as restaurants open late on uber eats go, this one is v high quality lassi: the best part. perfect. wish the cup was full to the top so i could have had a little more would probably order 2 next time tbh coconut curry lamb: one of my favorite indian dishes! i was excited to see it on the menu here. delicious but overpriced for the amount you get. for $17, it would be better value if rice was included roti: slightly too thick and not greasy enough but still pretty good 8/10

Service is great but was disappointed this place does not serve authentic Hyderabadi Biryani as advertised. Am gonna be skipping this next time. I've heard it's a good place for some North India cuisine. If you are looking for authentic south Indian style Biryani, i'd recommended to visit "Bawarchi Restaurant".I've had my friends raving about it. Btw, the in-house cook seems to like Punjabi music a lot, get ready to hear loud tv shows and music a lot in the background Prices is reasonable, parking is a problem.

So basically, they have a fantastic location, kind staff but the food is not up to the mark. They advertise biryani but I would say their biryani is alright. We ordered a lot of Indian food, some of which was good like goat curry, tandoori, breads, etc. Although, rogan josh, chicken 65 and goat biryani was not as expected. I feel the use of colours in the dishes didn’t make them appealing and the food lacked the Indian flavour. I would say go there for North Indian food but not biryani or South Indian. Definitely worth a try and if on a budget as they are inexpensive.

Pretty disappointed with my recent experience here. First off I’ll say the cashier was very nice and I’ve enjoyed the food here in the past. I ordered the daal tadka for takeout and this was the greasiest dish that I have ever seen. Never in my life have I strained a dish before, it wasn’t edible otherwise. Quite a shame Especially considering that with tax and tip it ended up being 18$. Given that I’ve eaten here in the past and enjoyed the daal tadka before, as well as the garlic naan and aloo Gobi which were all good, this was unexpected. Not sure if this is was just a one off or caused by the new management, but not very happy!

While the waiter did an excellent job in his customer service and the food was one of the best we had. when it came to tips, we included the tip in the payment. Later that night, we found out that the owner retains 100% of it. Such a shame. Your employee did all the work of service and running around to help other customers. It’s really really not fair that the owner goes away with it.

Our favourite Indian food in Montreal! The food is incredible (yumm butter chicken, garlic naan). The service is fast and lovely, and they will remember when you come back. Really nice location on St Denis where you can sit outside as well. Quite affordable for good Indian!

Samosa chaat, and Alu chaat had bad taste. Ordered tandori shrimp Three pieces were very good and the rest had a very strong fishy smell. And Lamb vindalo was cooked with potatoes which tasted rotten. It was disgusting !! It's a wonder how a place like this with terrible food has such high ratings. P.s The butter naan was the only thing that tasted right. But you can't fill up on naan only.

I visited here with my family. I had a wonderful dining experience here. The cuisine was just what I was hoping for, and the customer service was excellent. I was quite happy with the service I got from this restaurant. The food I received was of a very high calibre, both in terms of quantity and quality. It was all I had hoped for.

The shrimp vibdaloo looked spicy (hot, as it is expected to be) BUT, to my disappointment it was full of oil, food coloring and salt. It wasn’t tasteful at all. There was so much color added that it stained hands and lips an orange color, which stayed on even after washing off with soap. Paneer pakora and plain naan were okay. But overall, I decided to not order from this place again.

This is a good Indian restaurant. I liked their naan and aloo paratha. Their malai kofta was decent, not the best. Their gobi manchurian is the worst. It was just fried cauliflower in tomato sauce. It was the worst! They accept cash and card. And you can DoorDash too! Never order the gobi manchurian!

Food is really good. 3 choices of naan. You can choose how spicy also. This place can easily compete with the known joints of the mile ex. Service is friendly and attentive. We had 3 main dishes rice and 2 naan breads. We left with that happy morish feel. Enjoy

Really good vegetarian options. The aubergine was out of this world and so flavourful with the coriander, the paneer dish we chose was a bit too sweet for our liking but still delicious. The mango lassi was yogourt-y and thick but not too sweet!!! we will definitely be coming back

Why does this place have such a good rating? The food is overpriced and lacks authenticity. I ordered fried rice but received lon-grain basmati rice that was not even fried , I’m pretty sure they used the base of Biryani rice. The chicken Karahi was disappointing, with more vegetables than chicken. The only positive aspect is the Naan bread.

Based on the reviews, very disappointing!! Chicken biryani was terrible, chicken was added to favored rice and it was dry and taste less. Chicken vendalo had the same issue. The only two things that were good was mango lasi and gulab jamun.

As all people, disappointed with the name. I wonder why they advertise it as South Indian but not even a single South Indian dish available. Atleast as per the name you guys should have one Hyderabad dish available but it was not there. It’s a pure North Indian restaurant . North Indian dishes were good but oily.

Ok place with ok food. Nothing outstanding. Again, if we compare to what you can get on Acadie & Jean Talon area is below. Good naan, good spicy level. For quality and pricing is overrated. For the downtown area might be very good, but there is nothing much you can compare it too. Give it a try...

This place has excellent Indian food, particularly if you are more familiar with authentic Indian cuisine, and don't just want liquidy, sugar-sweet, Westernized dishes. Rather, their dishes are full of texture and taste. Very nice surprise.

I dont understand how this restaurant has high rating, it no where tastes as mentioned in the reviews. We ordered egg friedrice and they gave us biryani rice with no egg in it. It was just onions and rice. Please do not waste customers time and money when you are unable to serve good food.
