A Sunday lunch for 12 to enjoy the beautiful spring day & to catch up with friends. Lovely alfresco ambience, welcoming & friendly. The food though not as good as one may expect for the hefty price tag. The $36 steak was average at best, we’ve had much better at our local pub, waiter mixed up the order leaving 2 guests with wrong cooked steak & when of our guests commented on it she’s argued with even through the waiter admitted his error. Our guest basically told off. It was a little rude - better handled if staff just accepted the error & corrected! The “Sunday Pork Roast” was very dry & the Barramundi was simply ok - Will we be back - nope, it wasn’t worth the cost. There’re plenty of alternatives.

Both were divine. We wanted to try a dessert but unfortunately didn’t have room - next time! Definitely recommend

This is a great local bistro...lovely service, enjoyable food and well priced. Not an extensive menu and as a local would be great if they had some specials for more variety but it is not a complaint just an idea as i enjoy returning each time. Fabulous to have this as a local 'go to' for a not cheap but not expensive, just right option.

Very warm and friendly waiters which is especially appreciated when dining alone. Delicious food from a small yet interesting menu, loved the charred tomatoes as a starter and the lamb as main was fantastic. Good wine options, too, and a lovely small restaurant. Definitely worth another visit!

This is one of my favourite neighbourhood restaurants! There is always something new and delicious to try on the menu, so it never gets boring. Staff are always friendly and the maître provides excellent advice on the right wines to go with the dishes. Even in winter the heaters make it pleasant to sit outdoors and watch the world go by.

The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. I had the beef bourguignon special and it was amazing. The meat was tender and the sauce was rich and full of flavour. The Tasmanian Pinot noir that was suggested by one of the staff was a great accompaniment to the hearty dish. I would definitely come back.

There are restaurants with the character, Et Al is definitely one of them. From the fact that you feel welcome and really well looked after to the High Quality Food on the Table. Wine list fantastic to pair all those fantastic dishes on the small selective but colourful menu.

One of the very best dining experiences I have ever enjoyed. The food.... a smallish menu beautifully executed. The service warm friendly and knowledgeable... one of the very few establishments that still serve wine by the glass at the table from a very interesting list

Really nice out of the way spot in what is a pretty Grotty area. The staff were really friendly and bent over backwards to help make us comfortable with our 2.5 year old monster/son. The place is spotless and clean the food was very good so two thumbs up go there

Lovely food, love people and lovely setting. Everything we ordered was first class. The pork belly was a stand out and also the lamb. The best lamb shoulder in Sydney (sorry Chiswick and Apollo). Would definitely recommend and adding this to our rotation. More

Very high standards in the kitchen, service and atmosphere. Lamb cigars, steak sambo, duck sausage, scrambled eggs, roasted potatos and chicken, cauli gratin and house lemonade all to a great level of flavours and cooked to perfection. Will

We stopped in by chance. Our lamb and fish mains were very well presented and delicious, and we shared a black rice desert which was also terrific. Service was perfect. The best meal of our weekend trip to Sydney. More
