Very frustrating experience with the lack of consistent policy reinforcement from head office to their different locations. Not only does their app and website provide false advertising regarding payment and deposit methods, returning cars after hours, and availability of vehicles, the information given from head office differentiates from each location it seems. I made a reservation for a pick up truck from their Etobicoke rexdale location, and was informed 15 minutes before picking up the vehicle, that there weren't any pick up trucks (or any trucks/moving vans for that matter) available. I was told to try a nearby location, and was told there that I'd have to contact their truck department the following day as it was closed. When I called the following morning, I was told that with renting one of their cargo vans, payment could be debit or credit card, as outlined in their renting policy. I clarified with the employee to ensure that using a debit card was accepted, which they said was fine. I also inquired about after hour drop off for that location, which I was assured that it was accepted, and as long as I parked in a designated parking spot on the lot and returned the keys to the key drop box, that would be sufficient. An hour before picking up the cargo van, I was called to be told that because it is part of a truck department rental, debit was not possible for the deposit but only for the payment after, but if I rented a vehicle from the car department, that would be sufficient payment for the deposit and payment. I was then transferred to the car department, were my options for vehicles were limited (need the vehicle for moving apartment), and that after hour drop off was not accepted, but in fact I'd have to pay for another day and return it then. Throughout these interactions with head office, and the two different locations and departments, I remained 100% polite and respectful, as it is not the employees who make the policies, but it was definitely getting frustrating that I was being told conflicting information from all angles. As I discussed my options with the employee from the car department and asked why I'd be charged for another entire day when their policy, website, and head office said after hour drop off was alright, as well as again being told conflicting information about payment and deposit, the employee proceeded to hang up on me. Now, I've worked in customer service, hospitality, and social work ever since I was legally able to work, and I have never, ever hung up on a customer, especially one who was being as calm and respectful and understanding as I was being. That is unprofessional, rude, and uncalled for, as now I am still without a vehicle to move after two/three days of nonsense and differing information from head office, all the way down to two of their Etobicoke locations. 1/5 stars for the pleasant gentleman from head office who took the time to go through the rental process and policies with me originally, and the employee from the truck department at claringview. 0/5 would recommend Enterprise- they ought to change their websites and app ASAP and have consistent policies across the board for such a well known car rental company, or many more would-be customers will unfortunately feel the need the actually take time out of their day to write a review BC I wouldnt want this to happen to anyone else.

We only rent from Enterprise because of their outstanding customer service and excellent vehicles. We had not dealt with this location before and they did not disappoint. Great value for the price and a lot of peace of mind as well. November 2015- we were back in Toronto and rented a car from this location again. Customer service remains tops here. As always, great value for the price with a terrific car. November 2016- Haven't posted a review since last year but we have rented from this location a couple of times this year and just did so again this week. The car was just what I asked for, value terrific and the customer service remains outstanding. We continue to be loyal Enterprise customers! May 2018- We're back....haven't posted a review in awhile apparently, but we rent from this location at least twice a year.As always the car was exactly what we asked for, was in very fine condition, the price was reasonable and the customer service as good as ever- which is excellent. We always rent from Enterprise and will continue to do so. November 2018- Back in Toronto and another rental for a week. Customer service continues to be outstanding here. We only rent from Enterprise when we travel and this location always comes through for us. Friendly, efficient service continues.

As a deaf person trying to rent a car for one single day, Enterprise is the WORST place to go! The employee I dealt with was useless in short and I didn't understand a word he said. he didn't even care to try and bridge the communication gap and was very eager to get me into the car and out of his hair it seemed; I hope karma gets him in the end! because of the poor customer services I received while trying to rent a car as a deaf person. I was forced to pay for 2 days rental and when I returned the vehicle 12 hours later, there was no drop box for me to leave the keys. Because I had no way of communicating with Enterprise to remedy the situation, I left the keys in the car and headed for the airport. while at the airport, I contacted Enterprise via their customer support portal on their website about the poor customer services, the extra day rental and the $600 deposit I left hoping that I would get a quick response and some answers but. It has been two days and counting and I still have not received a response to my complaints/inquires. My mom who is also deaf, warned me about enterprise and now I understand what she meant. Worst place to go to as a deaf person to rent a car!

I returned a vehicle here which I had rented in different location in Etobicoke. I received permission from the original location to do so, and was assured I will be given a ride within the area as they usually do. However, this was not the case. When I returned the car and asked for a ride to Yorkdale Station nearby, I was refused as they did not have a driver. This was at about 6pm on a Friday. There were two agents in the office at that time, and I was their only customer. So one of them could have driven. I pleaded if they could help since I had luggages at that time and was trying to catch a train at Union Station. They refused and flatly told me to "just take a taxi". I agreed, and asked for reimbursement for the cab ride. Again, I was flatly refused because they had "already closed my rental agreement". This was my worst car-rental experience - I was travelling for work, and had heavy luggage with me, pressed for time, and the agents made my day even more stressful. I have always rented through Enterprise because of convenience of their free pick-up and drop-off. I guess, not all locations offer that service, definitely not this one.

If I can give this company zero star, I will. I've been waiting for more than a month now for the reimbursement on the winter tire I bought when I rented a car. One tire got flat and brought it to Canadian Tire because nobody is answering the call that morning. Canadian tire said they cant repair the tire and needs to be replaced. Because I need to go to work, I paid for the tire. But it's almost a month now since I returned the car and submitted the receipt from Canadian Tire. I have to make a call every week to follow up and they keep telling me that call again next week. They don't have initiative to call you. Very slow process on small amount of money compared to what they are making. Emily, the assistant manager, even blame me for not calling their company before changing the tire which I did and unfortunately nobody is answering the phone. I believed she doesn't have the right attitude to deal with the clients. Or maybe she is white and I am an asian that's why she feels very privilege and believes she's above anyone. I will never recommend this company and will absolutely never deal again with them.

Just wanted point out something about our rental experience at this location. I have been renting for years, from a lot of different companies, and enterprise location. I must say this was one of the busiest location I have dealt with. My experience was fabulous, we didn't have a reservation! We just walked in around 5:30pm, hoping to get a car. I was dealing with Bala(manager) & Lucky(CSR). The first response was "we are actually sold out for the weekend". And then Bala said, "Give me 5 mins, I really don't have a car, but I will do everything in my power to get you a car" During that 5 mins, he was making calls, answering other calls(at one point he had handsets on both ears), coordinating his other employees, helped 4 other customers who were in line. 5mins and 21 seconds later: he comes to us says, we have arranged a car for you. And gives all of us a high five! Does our paper work, and lucky checked us into the car in 2 mins. Just wanted to say, it's really hard to find people like Bala and lucky, with this kind of talent. A big thank you to enterprise in Yorkdale, Bala and lucky.

Staff were kind and friendly. They accommodated us in a incredibly trying time in our lives after having gone through a nearly fatal accident. They even picked up and dropped off the rental for us even though that's not always common practice. We needed something to put three cars seats in and waited a few days; while they were able to help us out in that regard as well, it helped getting our kids to school and keeping our family mobile. Anyway I can't say enough about these guys. Everyone is pretty great, it's too bad I can't give names. Insurance would not cover us even though we were frantically begging them to extend just a few days so we can find and purchase a car of our own. These guys we pay well over 5k for full coverage were less helpful than the enterprise staff. Their initial offer was for us to find and a vehicle of some similar value which for which they gave us one day to do. We like will be changing insurance companies but hopefully we continue to deal with these guys. Thank you guys for making things easier for us.

I rented from this location for years and was always impressed and happy. But recently, there seems to be a change in management that is very poor and rude. I dealt with a gentleman named James (might be manager?) and had problems throughout my rental. I had to wait 1.5 hours for them to pick me up, despite calling days ahead to confirm my reservation and pick-up. Then on the day of, he tried to give me a smaller car than I had booked. I took the smaller car anyways that had tons of milage on it and poor brakes because he did not seem accommodating at all. Why waste time negotiating/explaining to someone who clearly does not care about the customer's preferences and needs? Then when I returned the car, the same gentleman tried to charge me extra for gas and for returning it "late" even though it was not. When I corrected him, he gave me bad attitude and a tough time. Taking my business elsewhere and I recommend everyone else to do the same. If not, read your bill carefully. Do not be afraid to dispute any wrongful charges!

I have booked a Standard vehicle for the thanksgiving weekend on 9th Oct 2021. I was offered a free upgrade to compact SUV saying that no standard vehicle are available and thought its a good deal. Vehicle is full of scratches and dents. I took the delivery at 11 AM and within 45 minutes of driving I got to know that the free upgrade is useless because the vehicle is not in good condition. The steering wheel, gas pedal are too tight and might cause the accidents. I immediately called back the office and informed about the vehicle condition. Initially the executive informed that he cant cancel and okay to talk to his manager when I insisted that it might put me in risk on the road. I was put on hold for 20 minutes and disconnected without any response. called again and heard back that office is closed. Huge disappointment and completely shattered my weekend plan. I would not recommend this service and pls double check if you have great plan for the weekend...

Update 1: Rating changed to 4 stars Office of regional Manager got in touch, manager of location reached out as well- he handled the situation professionally and advised the objectives and experience the location and company work toward --- My go to car rental location for over 3 years. Usually consistent service with exception of the last few visits. Returned a rental and asked for a drop off Associate advised he would have to check with the other gentleman who was in charge. On doing so, I was advised pickups/ drop offs not possible as it's the weekend etc. And called an Uber. Another client picking up a car, asked if he could drive back HIS OWN car, and then get enterprise to pick him up from his location as he didn't think his car was safe on their lot over night. Same associate in charge, agrees to do this and proceeds to mention that it is a specific circumstance. Rates / service are usually competitive and acceptable. Service unfortunately was not.

This is the best enterprise cenyre I have visited. The staff in this location are very friendly and knowledgable. The cars are always clean and in good condition. They are flexible with their check in times and do every thing possible to accommodate if you are running late. A very busy rental location though. Emily, the manager, is the best when it comes to customer service and solves issues. On many occasions in addition to mine she has gone above and beyond in resolving customer needs even when reservation policies didn't warrant it such free upgrades or four refill coupons. It is also a great experience there and they make you feel special every single time. The ogot is fitting to my experiences so far at the location. Keep up the great work, Emily and the team.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. My insurance company sent me to this location with a reservation. I went there and they said they didn't have a car. My insurance company called them and they said they would have a car the next day in the morning. Went again the next day and no car was available. I was not given any information as to when I would get a car and no options to get a car from a different location. It seemed like the staff was ignoring me and I ended up leaving. The customer service there was terrible and the employees were not very friendly. I had to call another location and they were able to provide me with a vehicle right away and provided great service. Save your time and energy, and go to another location.

THIS IS THE WORSE....... Im always here renting vehicles for both me and when my sis and I have to run double errands. This man now saying the second driver have to have the a credit card (which is normal) AND they have to take a deposit as well on the 2nd driver's card. I kindly told him no thats not the case because I'm/we are a regular at renting here. He said the policy/rules didn't changed. He stand there with his chest HIGH and said NO we NEED to take a second deposit. If this happens to anyone, my advise is to walk 2min or drive 1 min up the road to "The Car Rental Place" they are AMAZING here. Enterprise PLEASE EDUCATE YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!! You guys have major competitors now...... If I wasn't busy I'd be on Turo right now.

Hands Down, the BEST vehicle rental brand in the market right now. Their location on Rowntree is consistently the best of the best in service and selection and pricing. I am surprised their competition can stay alive with these superstars around. I literally look forward to my next vehicle rentals from them. They make a boring chore a pleasurable experience. I can not go back to my previous car rental companies and locations now. I am forever spoiled by the high standards of service and selection and pricing by this brand and location. I have wanted to GateKeep this location for the longest time. But, I have to share them with the world. They are too big to keep in a cage. They need to roam free and spread happiness!!

We had a car stolen recently. We were sent to Enterprise Car rental on Dufferin St north of Lawrence in Toronto. They were extremely helpful and courteous and they went above and beyond to help us. We were so unhappy with our Insurance company because they told us we get $5000 In rental money but after only 12 days they made us an offer and pulled the plug on rental. There is fine print on the bottom of your policy which says we stop paying for the rental when we fix your car (it was not found) or we make you an offer!!! We were given an amazing rate for almost one month. Thank you Emily and everyone at this location. We could never have done it without you guys. I wish I could remember everyone’s name.

I booked my car rental during COVID-19 and no one advised me the Yonge/Eglinton location was closed. I called Enterprise yesterday to confirm my appointment and all they said was OK, what is your last name? I gave them my last name and they marked my confirmation and hung up. I walked to this office only to find out that the Dufferin location is handling all rentals and they don't offer pick up. NO ONE TOLD ME THIS. I'm sure they have enough developers to change the website to mark which locations are open or closed. They couldn't even do anything! The agent at the Dufferin location was useless and hung up on me while I was talking. POOR SERVICE

Amazing service and the most reasonable prices we've seen yet. We moved about an hour away from Toronto and we didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for the kilometres. Pick up and drop off was easy, convenient and fast. There are no charges for dropping trucks off after hours. We received a follow up call the next morning to confirm everything was good. Customer service was great. The one thing I would have liked better is if we were able to drop it off in the town we moved to and not return it to the pick up location. Regardless, I will gladly give them 5/5 and we would highly recommend Enterprise. We are very happy with their service.

I must admit i did not think about writing a review because i rented a pickup truck for a day to help my son move. Everything was great and uneventful. Picked up a clean new truck and brought it back same day - great courteous service - no issues. It was about two weeks later that when i could not fine a very nice/expensive pair of sunglasses anywhere in my home i decided to drive by the shop and ask if they had a lost and found. I provided Thomas with a description and soon enough he came back with my sunglasses. I'm really impressed with the whole experience and would highly recommend Enterprise to friends and family. :^)

Came here on a Tuesday (when my insurance told me to stop by) and they told me to return Wednesday and they would have my car ready. I returned early morning and they told me they didn’t have any cars because it was March break even though I was already “confirmed for a car Wednesday morning” they set me up with a Honda Civic and after waiting 45 minutes I was told they could not find the keys anywhere. After an hour and a half of waiting and 6 costumers coming in and leaving, I was able to leave with a Kia… they also kept calling me by my last name even though I told them what my first name was.

By far the best rental experience I have had in this city. The guys who work here are quick, professional, and kind. I have tried other places in the city, even other Enterprise locations, but this is the only place that has never once tried to take advantage of me. I once showed up fifteen minutes after they closed, but they still let me get my rental, despite it meaning they had to stay late. The prices are very reasonable, location is accessible by transit, the vehicles are clean, and I have even been offered upgrade for little or no cost. They will also pick you up and drop you off if needed.

I'm an Enterprise Gold Member who had a 3-day rental. I called in and asked if i could drop off my rental at a different location in Toronto (6 kms further West). Their employee said no, there would have to be a drop off fee. I said fine, i would return it back to their Yorkdale location, which i did. But he had the drop off charge on my account anyways, when it came to settling my tab. Either this employee was acting out of line and should be disciplined, or Enterprise is overly aggressive with exploiting their long-term customers. Either way, this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I always dread renting a vehicle. Something almost always goes wrong - the car I wanted didn't get returned, or some other such excuse. This was not my experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Care last week however. Chris at the Enterprise location in Main Street, Stouffville was amazing, informative and provided superior customer service. In a time when it's easier to ignore the small things, Chris took the time to even walk me through the 'cool technology' that was available in my rental. The car was serviced and clean and worked well for the entire trip. I will definitely rent from them again.

Discriminatory and NOT FOLLOWING COVID SAFETY REGULATIONS. On picking up our rental, cleaning staff were seen not wearing masks and moving from vehicle to vehicle. Was advised that to add a second driver a second credit card was required - this is contrary to their contracts. Agent would not show us the rules in writing, and would not accept that we were common law partners. I was appalled by the change in service, the lack of respect for health regulations, and the disrespect shown to my partner and I.

Rude customer service rep. Good at lying. I called in to check if an inventory is available for an economy car, and the guy mentioned he has got accent and fiesta, and as soon as I asked: would I be able to switch my rental car(from enterprise) - he asked me to be on hold for couple of mins and told me that accent is damaged and he is not sure where fiesta is, maybe rented. Straight up liar! I mentioned I will leave a review for this experience and he hung up the phone saying"make sure review is good".

rented a car here 2 months ago, they gave me a call around june 14 asking how was the customer service, which was good until my credit card was charged 100$ for some fee and they said they couldn't do anything about it. I ended up getting another rental in a different branch in hamilton later that month again and they were able to offer me a rental and said they won't charge me for that fee and if they do, they'll waive it off. I recommend going to a different enterprise branch and not this one.

This Enterprise is my go-to location when I am in need of a quality, yet affordable rental. I also have to comment on the excellent customer service provided to me by Anish, who is extremely professional, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. As someone who has worked in customer service for many years, I've seen the best and worst of them, and Anish is right up there with the best—a true asset to Enterprise. Keep up the fanastic work!

Enterprise Rep Hasan went above & beyond to accommodate our business needs. What a breathe of fresh air to have an Enterprise representative that is 'in your corner' as you attempt to conduct business. Definitely, when requiring a rental in the Toronto area, we will conduct business with this location, primarily because of Hasan! Hasan, you should be trainer for your colleagues. If they took a page from your book, Enterprise would have many less discruntal customers.

Don’t rent a car from this location. They have rude staff and I rented just 4 days and returned my car same time on return date. But they charged 7 days. I will upload my contract and bill. After that I went that location and explained everything one of their worker print out my bill and got my cellphone number and he said there is a mistake and I will call you tomorrow and I will fix it. I left and almost 2 months passed but I didn’t receive any cal from them.

I have used Enterprise a few times in past 1 year now and I have driven cars from all sizes there. I specially love this branch because of Bala. He has been of great help and it is a treat to deal with him. The variety and quality of cars has been consistently good and Bala has tried his best to get me an upgrade when possible. I would highly recommend him and this branch and would definitely use their services in future.

Thank you for the excellent experience! We rented a car for 1 week for our trip around Toronto. Drove up to Niagara falls and Alongquin national park. The Ford sedan we got was clean and in top notch condition. We would like to compliment Tenzing Lama who was professional, extremely helpful and patient in answering our questions. She provided excellent advice which contributed greatly to our excellent experience.

This was literally the best rental experience I've witnessed. I was served by a gentleman named Kevin Singh (he is not) who I literally thought was the Manager due to his superb people skills! Although, I do agree with the other reviews. The vehicle did come really dirty, it made me wonder what the Preps actually do here. I did bring that to Kevin's attention, and that was all taken care of. Thanks a lot Kevin!

The midsized vehicle that was picked for me was not big enough to fit 3 full sized car seats and get the kids in and out easily. The team here went above and beyond our expectations for renting during Covid19. We rented in early May 2020 from this location (as our local location had shut down) and had the best experience. They delivered our cars to us and picked up from us. They helped us out with other issues as well. Thank you so much to all of you that helped us. We really appreciated it.

Reserved a minivan, got confirmation email that it was reserved. But when I arrived they had no van for me. They stuck me with an SUV I couldn't use and told me I could exchange it the next morning. I did, but it took 3 hours on the phone to find one at an enterprise 40 min away.. waisted almost 5 hours of my time because of them. I won't be back anytime soon.

Top notch customer service. Every single enterprise location I have been to had horrible customer service, except for this location. Cars are same pretty much everywhere but what makes the difference is how we are treated and taken care of. Both Thomas and Ariel took excellent care of us and all the other customers that came in while we were there.

0 stars. Racist, rude and unaccomodating people. They make up their own rules when you reach there when they know you're an international student and can't provide enough Id cards. Even though they accept debit cards they declined to do so even if we offered to provide multiple references and bills.

The customer service was really bad. They really don't know how to treat the customers. I travelled long way to get this location because I love the enterprise services and the way they value them but the staff here doesn't know how to keep the brand value. I'm never going back to this location

i rent cars almost every weekend. Enterprise definitely has the best customer service. I've yet to have a car cancel on me. Hertz and thrifty have cancelled on me many times. they will do what they can to find you a car. atleast thats the experience ive received from this particular location.

Worst management, totally unprofessional. Last bad reviews are correct. This place is not good anymore. They gave me a very dirty car and the management is very arrogant. They dont let you talk and ask what are you still doing there trying to talk. How can this people be still employed?

I am very happy with this location. I've been coming here for a while and I wanted to just say Hebrew, Austin and Salman were amazing. They helped me find the car that was right for me and made me feel very comfortable coming back to this location. Big shout out them.

We have our ups and downs, but this location has my heart. Sometimes I rent big cars and get small ones, other times is the other way around, but the price is right and the guys are great. The cars need a little vacuuming sometimes but they are cool about the gas.

Damages that were done , And the dodge pick-up truck that supposedly Serviced that was done , Was not satisfactorily done correctly . Transmission lights on , 0il level is down to 0. For a brand new vehicle thi$ vehicle should have been carefully taken care of .

Great service, I had my car at Assured Yorkdale for fix after an accident and Enterprise picked me up there and brought me to their location where I had the choice of 2 different rentals. Their staff is efficient & friendly. Thank you for your services.

100% an awful experience with this location! Taking money off my credit card without a reason and you can't get ahold of them! The staff was rude and ignorant also arrogant. Whatever happened to customers service and customer is in good hands!

Good place. Cars are clean and staff is efficient. However, as per the lady, I had to provide her with a my current policy number or purchase their expensive coverage to be able to rent. I haven't had to do that at other Enterprise locations.

They don't accept cash payments. They used to make it easier for me to rent but theres new policy the man said on the phone. He was pretty rude as well. I won't be renting from this place ever again. You prefer credit over cash.

We rented a Camary, the comfort and performance was great and the car was detailed to the highest standard. We had no issues. Best service and great price at 3175 Dufferin St, North York. This is my go to future Rent-a-Car.

The worse Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ever. I was waiting for them about 1 hour just to pick me up at the collision shop. The people from the shop had to call many times to them pick me up. I lost my morning just waiting.

All in all i had a very pleasant experience with this particular location. In the beginning i had a problem with my reservation but the manager and agent at that time quickly addressed and resolved the problem .
