Disappointing experience from a book shop that I have been loyal to for many years. A book that I specially ordered was offered to me in a damaged condition. It was a hardback. I was offered a 20% discount. They agreed they couldn’t sell the book. Surely 50 % Is fairer for a loyal customer. The manager wasn’t available so non negotiable. The book was reordered. I’d already paid for it. Independent book stores should offer better customer service .

Great customer service and great book recommendations - the last three recommendations have been spot on for my 70-ish mother-in-law and for my 11yo and 13yo daughters thank you!!! They are happy to order in books they don't have in stock. There is also a variety of small fun non-book gifts aswell. They're not the cheapest but you pay for the customer service and they do have a rewards scheme :-)

I'm sorry to rate this store at 3, as staff and service are good, but selection for the size of store is limited. At an estimate 35% of the store is kids- teen reading, so in some ways it's list its identity as a 'serious' book store, I know you can't be all things to all people, but with reluctance I've started many purchases online as cannot find what I want in store.

Alway's a great range in all genres and awesome discounts! I have found generously priced stocking fillers aswell. ***Covid Update*** Click n collect is very fast and easy. I called the store and the lady that I spoke with today 15/8/21 was very helpful and gave me some great advise chosing books. Great experience!

One of the most pleasant Dymocks stores I’ve ever been in. The staff are approachable but not hovering over you, the store is well laid out and spacious. They even have chairs around the place for you to sit on while you’re waiting for your partner to choose a book...or ten!

I love browsing here. Well laid out and a good selection. I asked for a weird title that they didn't have and they ordered it in from the USA... can't ask too much more than that.

Dymock is a haven of peace for people looking for books. Staff is discreet and competent and book display slowly evolve in tune with the times. Great place - good concept

It's a bookshop every book lover just loves to shop at. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly assistants willing to help with any questions you may have.

Nice enough, but doesn't have the depth of content, particularly in Sci-Fi which I was hoping for.
