My experience at Deno’s Is rediclouss.this is a review of repeated visit.Their costumer service is ZERO ZERO ZERO.The only thing they care is about their Money. They do not care at all about costumer satisfaction. They do not treat well costumer at all.specifically a women who wraps her face with scarf and who usally works at the hair section and a young guy . They refused to exchange the stuff I bought an hour a go even if thier recipt says we can return it within 7 days of purchase. They could not even try to do the least. They even refused to let me talk the manager saying they don’t have access to him. I spoke with another women, who usually works at the front and very very NICE WOMEN!!! I explained her and She understood the case and called me the manager and the manager told them to exchange. BUT they took it personally and change it around saying it’s is damaged and called him backend changed his mind. IN GENERAL, they are very very unprofessional, and disrespectful.I HAVE NEVEE EVER SEEN A COSTUMER SERVICE LIKE THIS IN CANADA. I have no/ 0 rating for thier service and Idefinitely I will never visit them again!!!

Dinos grocery has no customer service. This business is not even worth one star in my opinion. There is no customer service when it comes to helping disable customers . This incident happened in front of my eyes. An emplyee (east indian lady) complained to the customer (who needed assistance with her groceries) that she does not get paid for carrying customers groceries to their vehicle, customer replied it is called customer service and you should talk to your employer or quit. This employee was shouting at the customer and made a scene outside the store while people watching. Clearly, this employee is not happy there.. The same incident happened with me and called store manager Dinos to report, instead of listening, he became ofensive and rude, he totally ignored and denied any issue. Worst place to go. I overheard a conversation between employees that they get samosas from someone who made it at home and sell to dinos cheap 0.25cents and dinos sell for a dollar. Shady business. I stopped going to this place long time ago. BE CAREFUL DUE TO COVID.

I have been looking for certain ethnic ingredients for several years at the Large Chain Grocery stores, and have always come up empty handed. Last week I came across Dino's Grocery Mart and their website and was mesmerized by their selection of ethnic foods available for delivery. While waiting for my delivery I started to read some of the reviews on here and I was horrified of what might be coming, and thought "what did I just do?". I was super impressed to find out that these reviews were simply not true in my experience. Don't always believe negative comments on review sites. Just because someone had a negative experience doesn't mean you will. No dented cans, No expired product, fresh produce. I wish you had the Yellow Maseca, as I really wanted to try it, but perhaps maybe next time. I will definitely shop, using Dino's website when I need the ingredients I can't find elsewhere. Thank you Dino's and the staff, you were great!

The customer service for western union money transfer is worst here. I was sending money from here (on 20th July 2018 at 12:30 pm) for the first time to my home country and was unaware of the procedures. The person attending me didn't care explaining the procedures or options available. Within 2 minutes she handed over me the receipt saying this is your transaction id. She didn't even ask me whether I wanted to deposit to bank account or any WU agencies. When I asked her why you didn't ask me about the transfer mode her response was " You didn't tell me!". Yes, because I didn't know what you were doing on the system from the other side. She repeated her response again. It was a bad experience for me!

Dino's is what one might call an "ethnic" market but it also serves as a local grocery in an area with limited supermarket groceries at some distance away. The few times I was there it was busy with both shoppers and staff. The stock includes imported foods both frozen and fresh but they also have products from small local producers. (I purchased my "Fresh roots Farm" Honey there.) They also have a substantial section that appears to be all specialty cosmetics and haircare products. I highly recommend you make a trip to Dino's.

This is one of the best ethnic shops in Winnipeg. They sell all sorts of food items from grains to packed snacks from the subcontinent and the African countries. If you are an Indian you will not miss home in terms of food as they have all the ready to eat foods and the snacks are the best. Asian vegetables are also available here. The prices are high for some stuff but getting them here conveniently keeps complains at bay. If you are missing authentic Indian sweets like Rasmalai gulabjamoon rabri they have it all.

  • Nat Richard

This is one of my favourite stores in Winnipeg. If you are having trouble finding any Indian, South Asian, West Indian, Carribbean or Central American spice or ingredient you will probably find it here. Especially good for having tons of dried whole chilies which are hard to find in Winnipeg. It is really competitively priced, with a great selection of any spice you would need in a usable package size. I also love the wide variety of flours and beans. You won't regret shopping here.

  • f0rgg13

I like how they offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, légumes and spices. They need to be more careful in storing their fish. The deep freezer was wide open and the fish were sticking out. I felt the need to put the lil guy in and to close the freezer. This area of the store could be better kept (health and safety). However, these types of situations are what makes this place genuine. To have this much selection in the middle of the prairies is worth while.

  • Artemis Hedrich

Great for a variety of ethnic food not common to other grocery stores. Fresh vegetables, dairy and bakery goods. Broad selection of bulk legumes and grains. Huge selection of spices. Fresh tortillas. Fresh injera. Large frozen food section. Vegetarians will love this place. Everyone else will too. Great place to shop. Close to HSC. Close to Red River College Roblin Centre. About a 10 minute walk down Notre Dame from downtown.

Dino's is excellent if you're looking for West African or Caribbean condiments, spices and staples. It's where I go to for maggi, indomie, semo, and if you don't know what those are, then you won't appreciate their availability lol. Having said that, the last time I went they didn't have indomie so I suppose availability of those items may be hit or miss. Definitely give it a look in if you're missing something.

  • daryl johnston

I love this store! Dino's has so many different items, it's like shopping on the internet, but all in one store. I'm not kidding. Herbs and Ayurvedic medicines are CHEAP-very, very reasonably priced. If you want this sort of stuff, do not go elsewhere and pay a fortune-shop at Dino's and save a lot. Staff are also very nice & helpful. I gave this place 5 stars but it deserves 6 out of 5.

  • Bharat Bhutani

The best place in whole winnipeg, fresh produce from local farm everyweek. The best selection of international food( indian, caribbean, ethopian and African cuisine). very reasonable prices and great quality spices. support small businesses. Big box store don't have quality spices. Din0's staff takes care of their customers very well. They definitely deserve five star for this.

  • Justin Lynch

I had heard from everyone that this place was so amazing they had such a great assortment of everything etc etc. There was indeed a large assortment of nothing other than dry spices and canned assortments. They had literally one fresh pepper and they were only Scotch bonnets. Considering everyone on the internet seems to rave about this place I was thoroughly disappointed.

  • LL

While selection is great, definitely not shopping there again during covid times. Social distancing (and other rules posted like 2 family members only) were not enforced. With customers ignoring the socially distanced markings on the floor and shopping with larger families who crowded the aisles and checkout area, it definitely did not feel like a safe place to shop.

  • Cameron Van Dusen

I have always liked Dino's Grocery. The staff is courteous, and there is plenty of ethnic food from a variety of cultures. The pricing on a lot of the items is reasonable, especially the bulk product such as pinto and black beans. As a bonus, I took a friend from Kenya there, and she was able to find the hair products she normally used at home, making her very happy.

  • Dipen Patel

Their new place is very spacious with few parking spots. Very good selection of Asian and African grocery. Their staff is very helpful, especially one lady cashier. She is very down to the earth and always trying to go above and beyond to serve the customers. They also offer all the spices and condiments in bulk with various sizes for individual family needs.

  • Kalhari Bandara

I have easily found lots of Sri Lankan food items here from spices to biscuits. Also I like the Caribbean style chicken rotti sold here. Everything is quite reasonably priced. This store has Asian, South Asian, Caribbean and African food items under one roof. So much variety so, I like to shop here. Close to work so conveniently located.

  • Tareq Anwar

It's a good grocery store for Indian and Bangladeshi products. There collection is not huge. Since the target market isn't huge, so it's fine. I get almost everything I need there to cook some deshi dishes. Recommended. Also improving the structure of the shop will be a good idea. Sometime it's hard to find a product you want easily.

  • Noel Chester

Dino's is the only grocery store that I know of in Winnipeg which sells Scotch Bonnets. These hot peppers are essential for any spicy Carribbean or Jamaican Jerk recipe. They also sell a good variety unique ethnic items from Africa and the Americas. I give them 3 stars only because their staff isn't the friendliest bunch of people.

  • Arman Khossain

Great grocery store, a good variety of produce and imported products available - some of the things are a little pricey in my opinion, their prices for milk, eggs and some other produce is more than the major big supermarkets but they're the only real grocery market in our part of town so the trade off is worth it.

  • Maranda Bell

I moved to MTL 8 years ago and I can still smell this place if I close my eyes. We have a lot of international stores in this city and NOTHING compares to Dino. Dino! I miss you man! Next time I'm in the city will definitely stop by for a patty and some tamarind balls. Happy to see you're still in business. :)

  • Su Keller

Incredible community department store. Cultural food from South America, the Middle East and Africa. Basic toiletries and a wide range of hair products. Awesome staff with a range of cultural backgrounds: service in many languages. Food is competitively priced with large stores no convenience store prices.

  • Vicki Tagore

We are going this store so many years. Never had an issues. But yesterday we were there asking one item where is it , the staff show us an attitude and didn’t help us. The way that staff talked to us is not nice and really rude. We never seen this staff before. May be this staff needs some training.

  • Malay Patel

This place has wide range of selection on many items. Usually you can find everything you need. Feel cluster when it's busy. Vegetables are usually not fresh. The most important thing is there prices are high in comparison too other Indian grocery store. But still a decent place to shop.

  • w cronin

Dino's is one of the original East Indian grocery stores in Winnipeg. But wait...he caters to many ethnic groups in the city, stocking fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, rice and an assortment of goodies from African to South America. Go there for a unique shopping experience.

  • JJ

It's got a huge variety of goods and produce from different parts of the world, mainly Asia but it's also got some Latin American goods. I feel its got a great selection of exotic foods for the palate. I shop there all the time. Go check it out, I highly recommend it.

  • Nimaale Said

This place is good and has many ethnic foods but the problem is if you want find something and you can't and ask the staff sometimes they have no clue at what you are asking The signs are not that visible to find your ethnic food It's money grabbing expensive foods

  • Nathan T

Yes! Competitive prices, great brands, and THE BEST selection of spices. I get a lot of my staples (gluten-free, Thai, Indian, East African). Also a great selection of harder to find things like kaffir lime leaves, tamarind concentrate, coloured rices, and tahini.

  • MESSAGE ME

Very nice Indian store, they have everything what Indian people needs. Only issue is they are little expensive. If they make reasonable price they will get more business. More volume, make more profit. If keep higher the price, then low customer and cash flow.

  • Ayush Gautam

This is a damn good place to buy groceries if you especially are from South Asia. You get everything that you've been missing from back home. Samosa is so big, only $1 and change . Sweets are fresh . Good options on sweets . You get good options for veggies .

  • La Paila Canada

This is the place my wife gets all here special items. I love to tag along for all the sights and smells. I can’t think of one thing standing out over everything else. Love going there. If you’re looking for something special, they’ll probably have it.

  • Rachel Vee

Was there today to look for chilies since I wanted to make birria tacos. I quickly realized that this store has so many ingredients I would need to cook all sorts of ethnic cuisines. Definitely coming back here for harder to find ingredients/spices.

  • Marina Havard (Marishinka)

Love this gem. Went to buy some spices and Jamaican curry powder and the vibe was right. Great frozen Jamaican patties and lots of fruit and veggies. Nice shopping. Also frozen roti, paratha, tortilla’s and injera. So many great food options.

  • Wayne Anderson

I really like coming here to shop and cook Caribbean foods. Mainly lots of liquid pepper flavors to chose from, plus Jamaican patties, especially the spicy beef and chicken ones. Also I like getting Roti shells, plantains, spices, rice, etc.

  • John Jones

Very disappointed. The old location I never had a problem. I was here in the morning and have to put away my bags. And the girls is watching me everywhere. Not good place to go. Also, prices have gone high. I will tell others not to go here.

  • Colleen Risbey

This place is so bright and cheery. A lot of specialty items to choose from that you will not find at Superstore or Sobeys. The Samosias behind the cashiers are brought in fresh every morning and are super tasty. Check them out.

  • Kevin and Tiwa Davis

I had a very bad experience with them, they sold me a spoilt food and then told me it’s final sale they can’t do anything about it … customer service is terrible, food inspection should look into all what they sell as food …

  • Radha Katwaroo

Love the ethnic foods, The customer service is very poor. The cashier is not friendly and Dino is also very unfriendly. He does not even smile or acknowledge customers. I feel he does not show appreciation for customers.

  • David L

Nice variety of Caribbean food, and bigger location. But I don't like that the man in the office profiles and watches certain people as they shop when there is no justification to do so. Others have noticed the same.

  • Andre Powell

This is a great place to shop! I am from Jamaica and am able to get almost everything I'm used to eating from back home. I am so happy to have found Dino's Grocery Mart! That staff are also very friendly and helpful!

  • Maturing Mama

I've lived in numerous different countries and provinces yet I still call my mom to pick up product from here and mail it to me. I know the quality of their products. Especially their hair products are top quality.

  • Pierre D'Souza

This is has an awesome selection of ethnic food. Prices are a little high due to their monopoly on the foreign food market in Winnipeg but if food brings you to your happy place it is well worth the extra expense.

  • Grace Holmes

Horrible customer service. Their items are often expired and when you complain about there’s “nothing they can do.” Definitely shop elsewhere like Millads Supermarket (GREAT SERVICE) or another ethnic market!

  • Doug Neufeld

Great little store. A HUGE variety of AMAZING items. Clean, bright and very friendly staff. Flour selections are second to none. Well displayed produce and other products. It should be a destination store

  • Ryan SQ (The Alchemist)

This store is one of the best for west Indian products in Winnipeg. They are not very good at addressing customer concerns though, they lack accountability and will blow you off unless you look like them.
